Start BI Services getting hang in obiee 11g

Hi Experts,
when I start the BI Service in obiee 11g in getting Hang, how could I resolve this.

We have Hyperion system 9.3.1 on AIX machine. We got this log every time when load on server is high. We are thinking replication of BI services is a option to solve the problem.

Issue - BI content server(11.1.1.1) not starting in obiee 11g:

Hello All,
BI content server(11.1.1.1) is not starting in obiee 11g after making OBIEE 11g services as windows service.
Services are starting when we do a Start BI Services from All Programs >> OBIEE. On the contrary, when we start from windows service "bi content server(11.1.1.1) not starting in obiee 11g" is not starting.
Can someone help me on this. In case if you need any more info, please let me know.

Windows Services for OBIEE 11G

Hi Guy's..
I have successfully installed OBIEE 11G Enterprise Edition and able to access OBIEE 11G via http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome&startPage=1 by only starting the 'Start BI Services'.
The issue what i am facing is OBIEE 11G is only opening/accessible when i logged in to server( Starting the 'Start BI Services').Once i logout then unable to login to OBIEE11G via above link.
Can any one tell me i am missing with any install/configuration steps in installing the OBIEE11G? Please guide to the chapter in documentation..
If not then why OBIEE 11G software is built with out included with Windows Services.
I mean 'OBIEE 11G Services' have to always running with out dependencies on 'User Logged In or not',My objective is to make OBIEE 11G always up and running..

I tried starting "BI Presentation Services" from Start > All Program > Oracle Business Intelligence > Start BI Services
Which resulted in failure.

after reverting those changes and a machine reboot, presentation services working

I experienced the same problem, the exact errors you got. After much digging, i discovered that my database was not registering with the listener, so i could not connect to it from SQLDeveloper and other tools. After spending much time on the internet trying to solve the error "*ora-12154 tns could not resolve the connect identifier specified*" which was what SQLDeveloper was returning, the problem still persisted.
A colleague of mine then gave told me to try and force my database to register with the correct listener from command line with these commands:
net start OracleServiceDB1
C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\BIN\oradim.exe -startup -SID DB1 -usrpwd password -pfile C:\oracle\admin\DB1\pfile\init.ora
It turned out that my windows events were full, so i had to clear all events and increased the log size and made sure they are overwritten as needed. And alas, everything was fine again!!!
What a nightmare it was - or may be it was Windows to blame!!! I hope this helps somebody out there sometime.
Obviously, you need to change the paths and other parameters to suite your system. OracleServiceDB1 is the name of my service and DB1 is the name of my database. By the way , i ran it on a Windows XP machine.

Auto start BI Services for OBIEE 11G

Hi,
We have installed OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on Windows 2008 64 bit operating system and we have restarted the server after successful install.
Now the issue is OBIEE is not accessible after reboot,it is running only if i run the Start BI Services under All Programs --> Oracle Business Intelligence --> Start BI Services and
this not accessible once i log off from the server.
I don't want very time login and start the obiee using all programs,instead i want to install a Windows service that will all run the BI Services,so that Users can access the OBIEE independent of
my login.
I tried many times installing the services for Admin and BI Server but even though the services are install/running successfully,but still not able to access the OBIEE URL.

Not able to start the services in obiee 11g

Hi ,
I installed the obiee 11 on my laptop and obiee 10 was also installed on it.the installation went fine and the url also came up fine.
But when i am again trying to open the url the it is not coming also checked the oracle business intelligence folder after the installation it created only one folder for 11 and 10 and start bi services is not there it is only showing the start oc4j.

Start BI Services as Windows Service in OBIEE 11g

Hello All,
We need to Automate the Start BI Services in OBIEE 11g.
The options that were tried from my side to achieve the same are as follows:
1) Creating Command files for Admin_Server and BI_Server
2) Creating Utility files installSvc_Admin.cmd and installSvc_BIServer.cmd.
3) Created the Boot file.
4) Ran the Command files.
Still i am unable to automate the Start BI Services. I have to manually Start the BI Services whenever i login to the RDC.
Pls help.

Starting OBIEE 11g services in Linux

Hi Gurus,
I have installed OBIEE 11g on Linux 32 bit machine, Procedure i used to follow to start the services, using putty:
1. Run ./startWeblogic.sh after it comes to running mode, it comes back to $
2. After it returns to $, i start nodeManager.sh
but now, after i do the first step from putty, though running mode has come, it is not coming back to $ where i can start the node manager, hence i am unable to start node manager from the $ console
Is this a server problem? pls help..
I did Ctrl+c and tried starting startWeblogic.sh again, but its again stopping at running mode and not returning to $
