Start week on Monday Query

Hi, I have two repeat regions. one that displays listings
based on a
datestamp for the current week. I'm using Access and ASP VB
Script. The SQL
for that is:
SELECT * FROM sellerlistqry WHERE
DatePart('ww',Sellerlistdate) =
DatePart('ww', now())
The other repeat region displays listing for the previous
week. the sql for
that is:
SELECT * FROM sellerlistqry WHERE
DatePart('ww',Sellerlistdate) =
DatePart('ww', DATEADD('ww', -1, now()))
This all works fine, but the week is Beginning on Sunday and
I need it to
begin on Monday, so new listings that come in on Sunday are
moved to the
previous listings by Monday.
How can I alter my query to Force the Week to Begin on Monday
and End at the
end of Sunday?
Thanks.

The jewish calendar does not have names for the days of the week. The week ends with the holy Sabbath (Saturday) and therefore the Sunday is the first days after Sabbath (Yom Rishon), the Monday the second day after Sabbath (Yom Sheini), etc.
The Christians believe that Christ was raised on the first days of the week (Mathew 28:1, et al) AFTER the Sabbath was over. So their holy day is the Sunday and the working week starts on a Monday.
The business days in the western world are numbered starting with the Monday as day number 1 (Timetables of Airlines, Calendars, even Microsoft Windows...).
Unfortunately in the United States religious freedom extends to a level which is not understood easily by the rest of the world. Since the MAC OS X allows to change the first day from a Sunday to a Monday, one might wonder why Apple decided to give the iPhone a jewish touch.
It could be supposed that this is the way of the least resistance. Only few complain about this issue, but if it were the other way around a lot of people would complain...
PS: I agree with the others here: It is very, very annoying and more than once I entered an appointment into the wrong day...;-)

    Hello SMEvans32
    You can use iCloud to share the Calendar, that way she will always be up to date on that particular section of your work calendar. If you want to use iCloud, I would recommend backing up so you have a safe copy of your data.

  • How can I start the week on Monday?

    I would like to edit the calendar to begin the week on Monday.  How can  do that?

    The first day of the week is controlled via Settings > General > International > Region Format, which also controls phone number and currency formatting - 'UK' is an example that starts on a Monday.

  • TS4000 The Week Starts on a Monday Apple!!!

    Please tell me how to get the Calendar on my 4S to start the week on Monday as it always did prior to the recent iOS upgrade. Apart from the fact that it's wrong, it's also highly annoying!!!

    Hi, believe it or not I've checked that loads of times and the region is already correctly selected. It's so annoying to have your weekend split either side of the working week when you're trying to plan ahead using this calendar. You should be able to selct your preference - I'm fairly sure I used to be able to do so with Apple products... Come on Apple sort it out!!!

  • Change first day of the week from Monday to Sunday(0CALWEEK)

    Hello!
    We have a report that display the data at a calendar week level. The start of the week currently show as Monday( retreived from FM - WEEK_GET_FIRST_DAY).
    Is there a global setting in source system to change the start day of the week from Monday to Sunday? I can always make this change in the transformation but would like to know if there is a global option to make this change so the rest of the reports display the same.
    Thanks
    Sirisha

    You can check this SAP Note 624627 - Sunday first day of the week also a working day (Collective)
    Might be helpful.

  • How can I create a cron schedule that repeats every 2 weeks on Mondays?

    I need to create a cron schedule that repeats every 2 weeks on Mondays. Cronmaker.com doesn't have the cron expression for this. Please advice.
    Using calendarSchedule I can do this,
    var trigger = TriggerBuilder.Create()
    .StartAt(new DateTime(2012, 11, 19, 12, 0, 0).ToUniversalTime())
    .WithCalendarIntervalSchedule(x => x.WithIntervalInWeeks(2))
    .Build();
    But where do  I specify it should be the 2nd monday?

  • "Start week on:" setting being reset

    Any help would be appreciated. i regret ever installing whatever is doing this.

    You may have done this...

  • How can I create a new calendar that starts the week on monday?

    Excel can do it, but I really like the template for calendars in numbers. That calendar is for printing it, so i don't need any special functionalities, only the template, with blank cells i can hand-write in.
    Thanks!

    Hi And95es,
    The Calendar template is very clever. Changing it to start on Monday would be a huge task. Here is an idea for a non-automatic calendar. Start with a table for month and year. Hide the table name if you like.
    A1 is a pop-up menu to choose a month. Type the year in B1.  I am trying to come up with a formula to show the day of the week for that month and year in B2. This is because you will have to type a 1 into the correct day in the calendar table to generate dates for the whole month.
    Create an  outline calendar like this:
    A2 contains the number 1
    B2=A2+1 and fill right
    A4=G2+1
    B4=A4+1 and Fill Right.
    Now select Row 4 and copy.
    Paste into every second row below.
    Format the table to make cells big enough to write in. Save as Template because you are about to make a calendar and you will need the template for next month.
    Type a 1 into the cell that is the first of that month. Now clear contents of cells you don't need.
    It would be handy to have a formula to show weekday for the first of the month. Not essential!
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • How do I change the start date for the week from Monday to Sunday on my iPhone 5?

  • Select Expert Record. Last 6 months and week start date on Monday

    Hello,
    i am trying to use the select expert record to grab the last 6 months worth of data. I require the week start day to be a monday and end on a sunday.
    Can someone please provide some advice the best way to do this
    kind regards
    david

    Hello Abhilash,
    Once again thanks for your reply.
    Yes this is correct, when it goes back 6 months i need it to skip the days prior and begin on a monday as we are reporting on a mon-sunday basis.
    I have tried your formula Date field >= dateadd('m',-6,currentdate) and it seems to grab 6 months of data, but the group weeks are not grouping from Monday to Sunday...
    kind regards

  • How do I get my Calendar to start the week fr Monday instead of Sunday?

    On my Macbook Pro, I am able to set my Calendar to start on Monday which appears farthest left.  However, on my iPhone (and iPad), the Calendar starts on the default Sunday and I don't see any settings to change that.  Can anyone help?

    Thanks for the tip, Mactagg.  Yes, it's infuriating.
    My settings are for Singapore and we follow the British system, yet the Calendar still starts from Sunday which makes me wonder why Apple decided that the UK Calendar should start from Monday...
    True, although there are plenty of good stuff about Apple, it seems that perhaps some middle manager somewhere has screwed certain features up such as Bluetooth which is horrible but that's for another story and thread...
    I will still stick to Singapore settings as it affects my phone number settings.

    Hey baby birch
    You are able to sync purchased content from your iDevice to a new computer as long as the comptuer is authorized
    To authorize the computer follow these steps
    At the topi of the screen next to File- Edit -View, click store then Authorize this computer.
    Enter in your appleID email address and password and click authorize
    **If you do not see the File Edit View option, At the very top left corner you should see a little square click the square and click show menu bar.
    Now that your computer is authorized click the file menu button, then click Devices, then go to your iPhones name and then click Transfer purchases this will allow you to transfer all of your purchased content to the computer
    Now if you want to transfer your non purchased content to the computer you can do so if you have wif and the previous computer on the same network as the new computer with home sharing

  • Calendar: Start week on Sunday, like in OSX 10.5.8

    Calendar: How do I Start my week on Sunday, like in OSX 10.5.8 ?

    who says British calendars start on Monday? Someone isolated in Cupertino?
    Nope, nothing to do with Cupertino.
    The International Organization for Standardization, in ISO 8601, defines the week as being Monday to Sunday. The British Standards Institution agrees, as do European Standards.
    So, Apple are just following international, European and British agreed standards.
