Started on V15: selecting a field with prefilled text, the cursor is always BLACK vs. the text color, so if field happens to be black... the cursor is invisible

see what i mean on keystone.skyrun.com. click on the search box (right, just below the top) that has the prefilled in text 'search...'.
cursor is there, but virtually invisible until you start typing. this works fine on ff v14- or all versions of ie.

Selection remains after deletion of text, unexpected text now selected

Mac OS X 10.9.3
Repro: Select characters or lines of text . Type of content (JS, CSS, HTML) is irrelevant. Delete the text.
Expected: text removed, without any text selected.
Actual: text removed, selection remains, but with new text selected (selection not removed).
Result: Unexpected text deleted (equal to the size of the selection).
Doesn't matter if I delete the text and then type a character, or just type a character to replace the selected text. I always lose the deleted part, and the character entry replaces the newly (mistakenly) selected text.
this is not the "my selected text got deleted" bug.
I've tried:
turning off voice/dication
rebooting
rebuilding site cache
removing user/configuration files
banging head on the table.
any suggestions are appreciated...

...it might be worth trying to restore preferences: Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6
That'll sometimes catch things the program cache/personal config folder clearing misses since it wipes any user-added extensions that might be causing a conflict somewhere.

When using classic dialog controls in labview 7.1 why does the text color that I have selected always stays black?

I have an older program created in LV 6.0.2 that uses dialog buttons. The text color is red or blue. When I load it into LV 7.1 the color stays black. When I edit text I can see that the color is correct but it will not display the color when I leave edit mode on the control. Even if I select a new button from the classic tools pallete "dialog controls" I am unable to change the text color.
What is happening? Why does LV 7.1 prevent this text color change?

The dialog control colors are set by the operating system so they match other controls that the OS generates. So in LabVIEW 6, they were actually not behaving correctly.
The following text is from the LabVIEW help on Dialog controls.
"You cannot customize the appearance of the dialog spin control, slide controls, or progress bars because the controls and indicators use platform-specific drawing functions that do not support customization. You also cannot use Property Nodes and Invoke Nodes to customize the appearance of these controls and indicators."
If you need different text color, you'll have to use the non dialog controls.

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.

1. Use the mouse to select the field and then press the space bar.
2. A null string is the same as zero. What is the result for division by zero?

How to skip a selection screen mandatory field in debugging mode with out changing the code?

If the value is not of importance how come it became obligatory in your program?
Any how you can do one thing...Put some value in your obligatory field, put a debugger point where you are interested in and use the pencil tool to change the value of the field while debugging.

Linking a select field with a text field in a DW form.....

I did try to search for this but nothing came to my attention. Apologies if it is already in the forum.
Is it possible to have a "select field" link with a "text field"? In other words The select field will provide different venues to choose from, in this case "Blog, Trade Show, Friend, Photo Magazine" and then after the choice is made a text field appears that allows you to provide details re. your choice. For example if you choose "Trade Show" from the select field the text field will then appear and prompt you to detail WHICH Trade Show. Something along those lines. Any assistance will, as always, be appreciated.

I also have added the fields which have to be taken into consideration.

Can I assign two values to this field 'PLANT' whereby the user may take only these values.
I mean kind of pre initializíng of this select options field with default values.
Due to this handling it should be prevented that the user can give other values
except this values.
Additonally it should be fine whether it is possible to disable the second input field
of this select options field like NO INTERVALS .

Be sure to start your iMac using its original grey System Install DVD: Insert that disc and start your Mac while holding the d key. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen select Disk Utility and format the hard disk. Select "Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)".
Then, install OS X.

If you go to you home page choose settings which is the grey app with a wheel on it. When that opens it is automatically on general. On the right side of the screen you need to scroll down to the bottom. When you get there, there will be one white bar at the bottom and then above that there will be a group of four options. If you click on the third one that will open the section with language. The first one in that is language. Tap the arrow and choose English in that. I hope that works.

I am dual booting my mackbook pro with windows 7 64 bit. Yesterday it started locking up at the disk drive selections screen, when you hold down the "option" butting when powering on. I have been searching all morning, and so far nothing. Thanks. :)

I have been using bootcamp for months now with windows 7 64 bit, and its been fine, yesterday while I was rebooting to do some gaming, at the hard drive selection screen when you boot holding the "options" butting down, it locks up when I select the windows drive and just sits there for ever. It doesn't throw an error, it boots fine into Lion.
I searched all morning and didn't find anything, was hoping that someone might have an idea.

Help selecting from records with duplicate fields

Test_table2 is shown below with the sql to create it.
I need to:
     Identify duplicate address_keys
        Within that set of duplicate address_keys, select only if HH_Income is the same between the two records and the HH_Age difference is less than 10
           Now the duplicate set matches the necessary criteria, and I want to select from these duplicate address_keys, only the one with the most recent verification date
The purpose of this is to infer cohabiting couples. In the large set of data we receive, for each HH_key if the people have the same last name they are all listed under the same HH_Key, but if they do not have same last name but live together, they will be listed as separate households (HH_key) but with the same address_key. A further validator is if each HH_key reports the same HH_Income and if they are close in age. We then only want to mail to one of the people, so we choose the one that has the most recent verification date.
The result I would expect here, using the table I provided, would be

I really like the results this gave, because it allows me to create a view now that contains the pair in one record. Thanks for this response. I think I did post the result that I was looking for which would be the one record that we would mail to: Once I create the view with one record for each pair, then I would just need to select the verification date that was greatest with the related data. Would that be the best approach to take? The fact that I now have a single record for each pair is excellent!
