Starting with oracle Reports

Hi
I am working on sql server reporting services with oracle 10g DB.I would like to learn oracle reports.I have just got it installed in my vista PC
Ps guide me with links/docs so that i can get started with oracle reports.
at the outset i would like to know the bleow
can i use a procedure returning a refcursor to run a report?
if so how?

Developerday VM Ora-12505 Getting Started with Oracle SQL Developer 3.0

Just downloaded the VM , Started the tutorial Getting Started with Oracle SQL Developer 3.0
As mentioned in tutorial , I was trying to make a new connection and I am getting following error
Ora - 12505 : TNS Listener doesn't currently know of SID
I gave SID as orcl, and seems to be working OK, can I use orcl for this tutorial

How to start with crystal reports

Dear Experts,
I am new to crystal reports, request you to kindly provide any tutorials or How to guides, so that I can start with Crystal reports.
Also tell what would be the Software/Hardware required to start with crystal reports.

I am assuming that u r going to develop reports off SAP datasource.For that purpose, You need to install Crystal Reports 2008 sp1/2 and SAP soluton KIt.

Generation of pdf forms with Oracle Report

I would like to generate editable pdf with Oracle Reports. That means I need clickable check boxes in the output.
Any suggestions or hints?

After VO substitution, the "Imported document" doesn't start with "/oracle"

I recently tried a VO substitution and while performing the import command in command prompt, the see the following:

In the Jdeveloper, I made sure that the substitution that I'm making is oracle/apps/icx/por/wf/server/ReqLinesNotificationsVO with the new extended VO: xxmas/oracle/apps/icx/por/wf/server/XXMASReqLinesNotificationsVO
If correct the Imported Document as mentioned above, it should always start with "/oracle/apps/icx/por/wf/server/customizations/site/0/ReqLinesNotificationsVO". Can anybody please explain my why it is happening? Your response is greatly appreciated

Some general troubleshooting tips:
1. Open the jpx file under myprojects with notepad and check if the paths are generated properly.
2. Check your project settings and substituions once again.
3. Restart the jdeveloper and then recheck the substitutions.
4. Make sure to save all files after you create substituions and before you import.

Problem with Starting with Oracle Warehouse Builder 11g Release 1

Hello,
I want to do the training modules for owb. I installed Oracle Databes 11g2 and was attempting to load all the demo files from the learning module Starting with Oracle Warehouse Builder 11g Release 1 (http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/11g/r1/owb/owb11g_update_getting_started_intro/lesson1/less1_start.htm)
I get an error during the running of the tcl scripts in omb plus. Everything works until the last files in which an object cannot be found. I get the following error:
OMB02923: Attribute TIMES_CAL_MONTH_CODE of group SALES of operator SALES_OUT does not exist.
The only reference i can find to this is in the load_sales.tcl file from the zip-file and i have no idea what is going wrong. As a result 5 mappings are missing in the end result (all LOAD_.. mappings)
Can anyone assist me with this problem and provide a solution?

Additional information after looking at the tcl files and the data in OWB that was loaded.
The section where the error occurs connects two parts of a mapping, the OUTGRP1 and the SALES_OUT. THe SALES_OUT is based upon the cube Sales. This cube contains all the data that is being connected except for the 'TIMES_CAL_MONTH_CODE'. I have no idea based upon the code of the creation of the cube where they take the data from. None of the connected attributes is named specifically. The cube also contains the several groups, one of these is time. If you open the details of the group the list of input attributes lists the needed attribute but it is not listed seperatly like all the others that are connected for the mapping. Does anybody have an idea how to solve the problem based on this extra information and the code listed below.

I am completely unaware of Oracle forms. I wanted to start with that. Could you please provide me suitable documentation link. I have done with SQL, PLSQL in Oracle 9i, what about forms & reports? Which one is better in 6i or 9i Forms & Reports?

There are lots and lots of difference the versions you have mentioned. 
Just Like Rosario said the biggest difference between 6i and 9i, 10g is that 9i and 10g are for web deployment only. And they are optimized for web deployment.
