Status Manager automatically changing

MSP Professional 2010 on a PWA server.
Users are reporting that the "Status Manager" field on their projects are changing for all task  This has happened twice, both times the person it changes to advises they have never even opened the project much less added task to it.
Seen it multiple times I open a project - not add any task just open it and the status manager changes to their name.
Do we have something set up wrong or gremlins?  Any insight on what to look for would be appreciated

Ibrash,
I am guessing that you are seeing this happen on 'Summary Tasks', which is by design. I can't remember the reason, but I think this was changed many many versions ago, to show the summary tasks' status manger to be the person who opens the schedule. Since
Summary Resources are not recommended to have resource assigned,  this should not impact you any way.
If I am off the mark completely, and you are seeing this on the subtasks as wll, pleae let me know.

    In Blackberry Z 10 “HUB MANAGEMENTS”, automatically changes the items that are included in my main View of the Hub Managements.
    I really don’t know how it happens, “Off or On” thing, without knowing me.  When any Email hits to my device and not shows in my “HUB MANAGEMENTS”, at that point of time I come to know, it’s Off again.
    Then whole process again, I go in “HUB MANAGEMENTS” and switch it on again and again.
    I need Blackberry Z10 OS developers focus on this issue…

    I can confirm this behaviour and it defeats the purpose of having a hub.
    Could a BBTA confirm that this has been filed or even solved internally?

  • Change Status Manager MSPS 2013 PWA

    Can Status Manager be changed in MSPS 2013 PWA? If so, how can this be accomplished.  I was told this was possible but haven't found the right security combination to do this.

    Hello,
    You can do this in Project Pro 2013. Don't think it is possible to update the Status Manager in PWA, you can only view the Status Manager for a task.

  • Project Server 2010 - Change Status Manager

    End Goal: We would like to perform this change via SQL statement - which I believe I have  I feel like I am missing something and not sure what it is.
    Background:  We migrated from a different product to Project Server 2010, while our team members were assisting users to move their projects from the old application to Project 2010 they did not realize their names would appear as status
    managers.
    The quick solution would be to tell the owners of the projects to change the information themselves (republish or go in themselves and change every line); however we feel this can be cumbersome and too much work due to having hundreds of projects and there
    are thousands of fields that need to be modified.  I can quickly accomplish what I want with an UPDATE command and be done with it (no user involvement).
    What I am running into in my test environment is that I can modify the fields (query below) to the appropriate status manager, but I cannot get the changes to appear in Project Professional - it still shows the old value.
    I have used the following command to change the Status Manager to the Project Owner (I'm new to SQL, and we no longer have a DBA - so if my code isnt the greatest...I'll fix it)
    USE ProjectServer_ReportingUPDATE MSP_EpmTaskSET TaskStatusManagerUID = MSP_EpmProject.ProjectOwnerResourceUIDFROM MSP_EpmProjectWHERE MSP_EpmTask.ProjectUID = MSP_EpmProject.ProjectUID
    This modifies all the values correctly - Project Owners become the Status Manager in SQL
    Question: Is there something I am missing or can do OR I am not doing to make this new value show up? Is there a better way to do this from an administrative point of view, with no customer/user interaction?
    Your help is greatly appreciated
    Thank You

    Merely my personal opinion having been a Project Server 2010 admin in a medium-sized corporation:
    I think you are going to seriously do some damage if you go about trying to modify SQL tables behind Project Server's back. There are a LOT of operations that go into a simple "publish" and I doubt that the minor changes you want to make will account for
    all of them. Are you confident you're adjusting all of the values necessary? You may have a detrimental impact on in-flight approvals, timesheets, projects, tasks, assignments.. There is just far too much IMO.
    Believe me, I know it is not an ideal solution to have the business make their own adjustments. However sometimes it is just what has to be done. My vote is to craft brief instructions and send them out to the PMs. It's easy to do, they can change one row
    and then drag the field down like in Excel to edit all the rest; it's a 1-minute operation, max.
    Due to the nature of the field, (not being something you can edit via PWA, and even in Project Pro it only allows you to change it to yourself or another current Status Mgr) I think you'll have a hard time scripting this one via macro etc.. However if you
    do find a way, seriously keep in mind your scope and don't edit them all at once, it will need to kick off publishes and check-ins for all the affected projects.
    Good luck!

  • CRM ORDER CHANGE AND STATUS MANAGEMENT - workflow

    Hi,
    We have created a Changed method for bus2000120 which is configured to fire when the Order is saved via Status Management.  We have added an entry to BSVW for the object, bus2000120.changed with no restrictions.  We have also created a function module that checks to see if the user status is E0005 or E0007 or it deletes the object from the Event table.  I see that this works correctly, however, a given SAVE of a transaction is firing 2 bus2000120.changed for the exact same user and system status.  (I know that it is firing 2 bus2000120.changed because I ran swels and swel. The event was listed twice. Please remember that the Event table when read directly after the save only lists bus2000120.changed one time.)
    There is only 1 entry in the event linkage(swetypv) for bus2000120.changed and it has a condition of the same user status, e0005 or e0007.  No real problem here, however, since there were 2 firings it runs the workflow twice.
    When you look at the extras-change documents you can see that the Header is changed twice, once for a system status and once for the user status.  I am assuming that since there are 2 changes, this is what is doing both firings.
    The funny thing is that if I fall into our custom code in debug where we are reading the status and event tables I only see bus2000120.changed.
    Any ideas on how I might solve this problem?  Do you believe I am correct in assuming that the 2 status changes to the header of the transaction is how both events are being fired?  If not, any guidance you might give would be greatly appreciated.

  • Change Documents in HU status management

    I've been trying to activate change documents on HU status management (object type HUM). The user status profile that I set up works fine (except of course for the logging of the user status changes).  Now, I suppose there must be a pretty standard (and maybe even straight-forward) way to activate the change documents for this object, but I simply don't see it. For this object, I get no entries in the JSTO/JEST tables, but in the HUSTOBJ/HUSSTAT.  I however can not get to the point that the flag in field HUSTOBJ-CHGKZ is activated via standard customizing.
    On the pop-up screen when selecting the HU status info, there's a check-box foreseen (however greyed-out) for the change documents, so, I guess the functionality is fully supported.
    Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

    Dear Patrick,
    in the SAP-standard it is only possible to check the change documents
    for the HU (in transaction HUMO, in the menu: Goto -> Chnge docs), but
    there are no change documents for the status changes.
    The reason the field is greyed out is that this functionality has not
    been developed. It is a missing functionality. It would be only possible
    via a modification to activate change documents for status changes of
    the HU.

    Ely

  • Guidelines on Change documents and Status Management

    Hi Friends,
        I am not sure whether this is the right question or not but I am in desprate need of it.
        The thing I find my self no where sometimes when I think of working on Chagne documents and Status management. I have been into WF for about 2 years. but never got a BEST chance to work on complicate workflows.
         <b>Can anyone give me some ways or links where I can find clear difference between change docs and status mngt and how to work on those ?</b>
        I did search in blogs but didnt find much. so posting a new thread. sorry for the inconvenience.

  • SCCM clients automatically changes its site code to another

    Hi,
    We are running SCCM 2012 in windows server 2008 R2 . We have different sites based on different countries, eg: India, UK and US. My issue is that some of the clients which were reporting to a site is automatically changes its reporting to some other
    site. Considering the above countries, I must say that the clients which were reporting to India(IND) is now showing its site code(site assigned) as UK in console. This makes the clients to not to communicate with our server and 'Client activity' is not
    showing any status(just blank). Initially I have reinstalled those clients and those were showing correct site code. After few days some among the reinstalled ones and few other clients are again reporting its site code to UK. What might be the issue?
    Your suggestions are most appreciated.
    Quite strange thing is that when I checked the configuration manager in client side it is showing the correct site code and reporting to the correct server.

    Either someone pushed the client from the wrong site or there's a GPO in place that reassigns them. CM clients won't automatically reasign themselves.

  • A note on Setup Manager - Application Change Management Pack

    Hi All,
    This is Mugunthan, Development manager for iSetup and Setup Manager. I am happy to begin my note with the launch of Application Change Management Pack 3.1. For those who are not aware of Application Change Management Pack, it is a new product built on top of Oracle Enterprise Manager and comprises of three major modules namely Setup Manager, Customization Manager and Patch Manager. You can find more information about this pack here (LCM: Oracle Application Change Management Pack Setup Manager is enhanced and advanced version of iSetup on Oracle Enterprise Manager. There were good amount of reasons to re-architect iSetup on Oracle Enterprise Manager as Setup Manager.
    Why Setup Manager?
    Ability to migrate to data over point releases of EBS – EBS comes up with rollup patches on top of major releases periodically. It means that you have to certify the patch before it get deployed on to production which means that setup data are to be certified again. iSetup cannot connect between 12.0.4 to 12.0.6 or 12.0.6 to 12.1.1. We have achieved the data migration for above scenarios in Setup Manager (11i to R12 is not supported in Setup Manager)
    Projects – Setup Manager supports grouping of Extracts, Transforms, Loads and Reports as a single entity and can be deployed multiple times to multiple targets. The project consists of one or more tasks (of type Extract/Load/Transform/Report) and can be orchestrated according to your ends. Project execution supports scheduling which means that you can use this feature to sync up setup data between two instances at periodic internal. Projects can be shared with other users which is remarkable difference between iSetup and Setup Manager. You can share your projects with others in a combined development environment. The functional configuration data (Extracts) are stored in Oracle Enterprise Manager. This means that you can refresh EBS without losing Extracts.
    Integration with Change Approval mechanism – Execution of projects is integrated with change approval mechanism which means that you can control who executes what. Also, you have fine grain access control where you can control EBS targets assigned to a user.
    Offline Transformation – I would say this is the most unique feature of Setup Manager and as an implementer you would welcome this feature very much. iSetup has got very limited capability on Transformation. Here we have gone way ahead and support Transformation on almost all Setup Objects. We present you the extracted data in excel sheets. You can download the excel template and work offline. All the attribute value fields in the excel sheet are editable which means that you supply your own value. For example, you can download Operating Unit data in xls file and change operating unit “OU100” to “OU200” and upload it back to system and load to target instance. Please note that any attribute of Operating Unit setup data can be edited. Also, system has got intelligence and once you upload the excel sheet, it automatically changes all the inventory organization which belongs to “OU100” to “OU200”. This behavior can be controlled using attribute mapping which you can create in Setup Manager. Hold on, this is not the end, also you can add more operating unit in excel, say OU300 and OU400 and load it to target instance. You can delete few Operating Units from extracted data in excel sheet and load the remaining to target instance. This gives you complete flexibility to manage (add/edit/delete) functional configuration data offline. This is fantastic feature and please have a look at how it works.
    Advanced Filtering – Filter support in iSetup is not flexible where you cannot use comma separated values and complex sql join conditions. Also you do not know what query is executed behind the scenes to the data. All this problems are addressed in Setup Manager 3.1. We show you the “select clause” (SQL) associated with interface and provide you a text field where you can refer the select clause and provide your own custom where criteria (SQL). This means that filter support is unlimited and you can set filter any database columns. For example, you can extract “Responsibilities/Menu” which are active or created as on yesterday. You can extract all Operating Units excluding “OU100 and OU200”. We support all filter criteria that are supported by SQL.

    Hi,
    your note very interesting. Is there any other way to extract the configuration using SQL? not using Enterprise Manager? hope this will be fastest way then using GUI base.
    Thanks,

  • Real time job doesn't receive automatically changes in SAP ECC 6

    Hi Experts,
    <br/>
    <br/>I'm trying to (using Data Integrator) automatically retrieve data from SAP ECC and store it in a local database table. I followed the steps written in this article: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Receiving+IDOCs. I'm modifying some records in the Cost Center Master Data (CSKS) and using COSMAS01 as the IDOC in which I'm trying to send the information.
    <br/>
    <br/>All seems to be OK, since I manually sent a Cost Center data row using the /nbd16 transaction, SAP ECC displayed a message telling that an IDOC had been generated. Also, when I checked the IDOC status in BD87 it had status 03, meaning that it had been sent correctly.
    <br/>
    <br/>In Data Services when I clicked on 'View Data' in the local database table that I put in the dataflow I could see the rows that I manually sent from the ECC. However, after truncating the local table, it bothered me that when I tried to send manually a second IDOC with another row from the Cost Center Master Data table, my real-time job didn't receive the request and consequently didn't insert the desired rows. I didn't change anything in the configuration, so my first question to any of you is that if you know what could it be that causes my real-time job to not receive the request from ECC?. I tried making a third try, but at my company they had to shut down the ECC server, so it's going to be a while before I make another try.
    <br/>
    <br/>Now, the REAL question of this post is that after I sent the first IDOC successfully (and before sending manually the second one mentioned earlier), I changed a record in the CSKS table directly in the ECC, hoping that it would automatically generate an COSMAS01 IDOC and send all the data in the table to the Data Integrator. This didn't happen and no IDOC was generated, so do any of you know why the automatic change didn't trigger the sending of the IDOC with the data?
    <br/>
    <br/>As I said before, I made the configuration in ECC and DI following the steps in the link written at the start of the post, and it was tested OK by successfully sending a COSMAS01 IDOC once, manually using bd16.
    <br/>
    <br/>In advance I thank you all for your cooperation. This is my first thread in the SDN forum so also please excuse any mistakes in my english.
    <br/>
    <br/>Best regards...

    You do not need to schedule this job every 10 min.  Why?
    If we can't schedule this job every 10 mints how can I able to retrive the delta records into Queue(RSA7)
    What is your advice I mean how to schedule in order to get the delta?
    Thanks

  • Will changing iCloud ID automatically change in my phone?

    I changed my iTurnes/iCloud ID, but when I look in my settings on my phone, it's still showing my old ID, and it's grayed out and won't allow me to change it there.  Will it change on it's own eventually?  If not, how do I reset this?
    Thank you.

    It won't automatically changed.  To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Event creation with status management

    Hello esteemed gurus ... it's your friendly workflow noob again
    It seems once people get a sniff that there is a someone who knows a bit about workflow in the company, everyone wants a piece of you!
    So... I have been asked to setup a workflow that will trigger when a user changes a user status on an SD contract. I've done some reading and I believe I'm nearly there but need a little help ...
    I have setup event creation with transaction BSVZ for object category VBK, specified my status profile, and business object BUS2034 and I'm using the event "CHANGED", within this I have set a status restriction to particular status of my user status profile.
    In my workflow definition I have specified the start event "CHANGED" for my business object BUS2034.
    The thing is, the workflow starts for every change to the contract, whereas I was expecting it to only start when the particular status I defined in my status management was set in the contract header.
    Are there any additional settings I need to make in order to restrict the starting conditions of the this workflow?
    Many thanks once again.
    Neil

    Hi Neil,
    There is two options to restrict the workflow.
    First one is start condition. You can check the workflow log. If your required field is populated in the Workflow container you can use start condition to restrict the workflow. In the Basic data of workflow template, Start condition is there. You can use the condition editor to set the condition.
    If your field is not populated by default, then you can use check function module for this. You need to create one FM, and in transaction swe2, the FM needs to be Configured. The concept is, based on the Sales document number you can get the required field and check the condition inside the FM. If the condition satisfied just leave it. The workflow will be triggered. If the condition is not satisfied raise a Exception. So that the Workflow will not be triggered.
    Thanks,
    Viji.

  • Trigerring workflow through status management

    Hi Abappers,
            I am new to workflow, can any body tell me how to trigger a workflow using.
          1. Change Management Document
          2. Status Management.
    Regards,
    Narendiran Rathinavelu.

    Dear Narendiran
    Got it..No need to create your own Object.There is a object called "ZBUS2012" for purchase order  (Go to SWO1 you will find it in Object reposatory browser)Take its "Realeased" Event as your triggering event and u r done.
    And if you still wanna use your own object then use method "create_event*" to fire your own event and take that event as your triggering event in workflow
    Hope this will help
    Also sent one good ppt for basic workflow design..refer it..
    Reward points please
