HP Deskjet 3050a J611 - Status: Offline or Paus on Mac OS X Version 10.6.8

This is my first Post so frgive me if I am inputing this topic incorrectly. I have an Apple MacBook 2.0, OS X 10.6.8 and trying to print on a newly purchased Deskjet 3050A All-in-one printer. After configuring the printer to operate wirelessly, I attempted my first print job. No copy!! I went to the Print Status which showed the correct print job, but said the Printer was offline. After deleting the job and trying to rint the copy again. Same result. I then went to the Mac System Preferences->Print&Fax and deleted /added the printer and and tried again to print. Same result but , tihs time the printer status .showed Pause. Clickng the Resume Button automatically rehighlighted Pause. I deleted the job again. I checked ->Apple System Prefrences->Print&Fax and this time it showed Printer Ready. I tried to print again and this time the HP staus Window showed the Print Paused. Wht am I doing wrong, did I set up incorrectly or not understanding? Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the post. With this one, we may have a couple issues. Did you encounter any error messages when you first installed the printer? Are you getting any error messages on the printer? HP Deskjet 3050a J611 - Status: Offline on Mac OS X Version 10.6.8

Hello,
I have installed my HP Deskjet 3050a J611 series printer on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 with a 2.2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor today. I have connected the printer wirelessly to the network I use at home. Connection strength is very good as I checked on the printer display. Installation is complete, however, when I go to print a document wirelessly, the printer says, "Offline" and will not print the job. I can not figure out how to turn it online. Any help?

Hi , I see that you are experiencing issues printing. I would like to help you. Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. Make sure the printer is directly connected to the computer by the USB cable and not a USB hub. Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or software issue.On the control panel, press and hold the Cancel button until the Ready light starts blinking, and then release the button.Did the self test print? Premiere pro CS6 and Panasonic AG-DV1000 check status: offline?

So just setting up my new comp....downloaded premiere pro from the cloud and hooked up my panasonic AG-DV1000 to capture some mini dv tapes. The deck is connected via fire wire to my comp, I am running windows 7 professional. when i open the capture screen i set up all the according info in hte dv/hdv device control settings but still cant get the deck online? please help......

I own that deck, and while I haven't used it with CC, here's a few things to try.
First, at left front of deck, put EDIT MODE switch at PASSIVE, and rotary knob to DV.
With Premiere closed, deck off, disconnect then reconnect 1394 and power on deck. If still not recognized, you may need to change the Windows 1394 driver to the LEGACY version, already in the PC and easy to do, see here - http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/troubleshooting/en370145?popup=true

OracleVM 3.1.1 - VMs are in Offline status?

Hi, today my cluster went down because of network device failure. When I repaired network, some of my VMs are in status "Offline" and I cannot get them back to Stopped or Running. How I can fix this?

It's ok now. First I tried to run machines, but I got an error saying that my cluster is down even it's up(some VMs are running). After about 30mins, I tried to start them again, and they started fine(from status Offline to Started).
With v3.1.1 stuffs are going much much better, great job guys ;)

From where did you get the HP software? Was it labeled as being compatible with 10.6?
In the mean time, let's reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

2540 offline status

My newly bought HP Deskjet 2540 fails to print because it is listed as "offline".
I've followed the steps given by HP according to other forums and posts. I have reinstalled the device, downloaded scan doctor etc. I AM able to print a test page, however everything else is impossible because of the status "offline".
I am really becoming desperate, because of the lack of solutions I can find online for this problem.
Help is very appreciated.

Cisco Unifed Presence Current Status is stuck in Offline

I have a very unusual issue with Presence. This is for a new deployment for Cisco Unified Communication Manager (Version 7.0.2.10000-18) and Cisco Unified Presence (System version: 7.0.3.10000-63).
Currently, CUCM is not integrated with AD, while Presence has a gateway for AD.
While onsite doing the install, I created a test ID on CUCM and AD. My test ID works great and I can change my status, etc. I can also add my test ID as a contact and can see the status in the contact list as well with no issues.
Now for the problem... When I add an existing user to CUCM and CUP, I can log into CUPC and see and change the users status. I can log in and out of CUPC with no issues. Once that user is added into a conact list, their status will stop working, can not be changed and is stuck in "off line". Oddly enough, the contact list will show available.
Here is an example:
User "Steve" is added to CUP. Steve can log in and out and change his status. While logged in, Steve adds himself to his own contact list. Steve is able to change and see his status with no issue. Once Steve logs out and back into CUPC, he can no longer change his status.
I have all in and out ACL's set up to allow ALL, but still not luck. Very odd and I have Cisco TAC stumped as well.
Any suggestions would be helpful!

Can you confirm the following, for an existing user, eg. Steve, is the userid, firstname, lastname and telephone number in AD and CUCM the same. If these are not same you could come across some issues. I would recommend you normalize that first.
Now, if all that is fine, need to verify if this issue is happening with existing users only and if so does it happen when they add themselves to their buddy list or happens if they have someone else in their buddy list.
example, if Steve logs in and has Bob in his CUPC buddy list. Can Steve change has status and does Bob see Steve's status?
Also, when Steve has added himself to his buddy list, you say that you cannot change the status of CUPC, but does the CUPC show Steve as available or offline?
If CUPC shows as offline but in the buddy list the user himself shows as available its possibly some issue on CUPC.
Basically, CUPC status is a 2 step process. When the user logs in the client, CUPC sends a msg to server, CUPS to register and then send its status, offline, busy, available, etc. Along with the login process, the client also requests info on status of its buddy list users.
What I am getting at is that status of client and of users in buddy list are sent by CUPS in 2 different SIP messages. Its possible the client is receiving the msg from CUPS for the status of the users in the buddy list but not the msg for the status of the client itself.
Will need to look at traces from the CUPC and presence engine and sip proxy traces from CUPS.

C 4780 is "offline"

Last week my Photosmart C4780 printed from Printer Pro on my iPad and from my Macbook. This week, it will not print anything from any device. The Configuration page says "Network Status offline" and wireless status disconnected. The Network Test Report says wireless is on and working but Network Name (SSID) not found. Even with the USB cord connected to the laptop, the printer queue says printer not connected.
So far, I tried reinstalling HP software to laptop from disk; turning off printer, and router, unplugging and resting both, then replugging and turning on to no avail. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10. What next?

I read about how your Photosmart C4780 is no longer connected to your network, and is showing as "Offline". I have some ideas in mind for you to try, to hopefully reconnect the unit to your network again.
1. Try power cycling the network devices:
Turn off the printer and computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press any buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, next turn on the printer and computer.
If the printer does not connect to the network after a minute or two, continue to the next step.
2. On the printer, select the Wireless Menu and Restore Network Defaults.
3. Restart the printer.
4. On your Mac:

6. Repair disk permissions
7. Restart the Mac
8. Follow the steps for connecting the printer to your computer over the network. Click the link and select Mac OS, Yosemite and Wireless, and follow the steps there: Setting Up the Printer for a Wireless Network for the HP Photosmart C4700 All-in-One Printer Series
9. In addition, you can also install this printer driver: HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X

Datafile goes to Offline in Windows reach at 20GB

Hai All,
Our Database(Oracle 9i) Working in Windows 2000 Server . Last Thursday around 1:30 our one datafile goes to offline and cannot read or write from this datafile. I see the size =0 and status offline in oracle Enterprise Manager Console.

The database is in archive log. This specific datafile is in autoextend mode . This error reaches 20th gb of datafile. any limitation of the database file in Windows. In Hard disk lot of space extra at that time. What is the reason of happening this error please help...

How to delete all offline file references in a catalog?

I backed up and restored my entire photo archive to a new computer. I've never used offline files, but somehow I now have hundreds (if not thousands) of offline file icons, right next to the exact same file date and time, except the images are now named [filename]-1.jpg
I've tried the "reconnect files" and delete, but it tells me I have no files to reconnect.
I'd wipe and reinstall, but I have a sneaking suspicion those "offline files" are embedded into my last backup, and I'd just be doing all that work for nothing.
How can I go through and bulk-select and delete *all* references to offline files?

Thanks for the reply. I just have a couple of comments to make on results:
(1) HMBM is listed as being in a DVD drive , I know the disk, but that drive is currently empty.
(2) E: could certainly be one of my backup drives, but the file pathe (for 2004) seems to be off, as most of the missing / duplicate files are from 2007. (It currently is not attached.)

How to relink offline pictures in Elements 7?

When I started my Catalog in Album (back in 2001) I have put many pictures offline on CD. Relinking to the original was very simple; just clicking on the pic, loading the CD and the software automatically found the original pic on the CD. In Elements however this feature seems to have disappeared. When I click on one of my offline items a relink screen pops up in which the software proposes to relink to the... thumbnail! The "browse button' won't help, it cannot find the CD drive location at all. The only possibility is to explore the CD with Windows Explorer, but then there is no relink feature. This is what you call progress!
Does anybody know a workaround. The strange thing is that Elements Still has the functionality to put pic's offline. So how to get 'm back?
