In Logic Pro 9, how many midi controlled software instruments do you get and is there possibility to download more as it says 40 on the programs info on the Mac Store, as i intend to compose on it but with only 40 instruments it's not really worth it.
So i was just wondering whether it let you download more for free.

this respect: you created a new track choosing the software instrument option and a whole lot of instruments came

Tis a bummer. It is not a bad idea to have a cheap usb keyboard and mouse around for future troubleshooting purposes, but I am not sure that will get you past this.
Have you tried plugging stuff in to see if it works? I don't have a happy feeling that it will but it couldn't hurt to try.

You use repeated "*" presses to obtain "pw+", allowing about a second between repeated presses; once you have mastered it the first time there is no problem.

I would like to create instructional videos on 'how to' for iPad.

Hi,
I would like to create instructional videos for teachers on how to do various tasks on the iPad.
At the moment I have an iPad and a PC.
I have tired an App called 'DispRecorder' to get the capture from the iPad, but I am unable to find an app to add arrows as highlights. Any suggestions?
Am I going about this the wrong way? Is there are better way? Or are they apps that I cannot find.

With the wireless card in your Mac you can set up a network to which the iPhone can connect: obviously your Mac would have to be on for this to work. Or you could buy a wireless router such as the Airport Extreme, which might not be much more expensive, and use that to connect the iPhone. You could use an Airport Express, but you would need to already have a router so that there was a spare ethernet socket for it.

However note that it apparently only supports WEP encryption, which is far from secure, not WPA which is what you should be using.
Another factor is that if this is a Mac Pro, you may have problems installing the card. As I remember some models can be fitted with a card if ordered with it initially, but retro-fitting is difficult and really needs to be done by an engineer. Given all this I would suggest investigating the Airport Express, bearing in mind the issue of needing a router if you don't have one built into your modem.

I'm using GB '08 on OSX 10.4.11 w/ a G4 MDD. ( Sorry folks, This is the setup that I have and cannot buy a new computer or software at this time)
I'm pretty new too DAW and all of this but want to compose music with traditional orchestra sounds as well as what GB offers.
I have found Muse Score and I can get some pretty good results for writing but I want to expand the software instrument voices that GB has.

and they have some pretty good sounding software instruments for free, except that they are in mp3 format.
I did some reading and see that GB understands a different format for this. I put some of the sounds into the correct GB folder as a test and result is of course no go. I see that GB uses exs and cst files in addition to wav and aff files.
How do I convert mp3 software instrument samples to the formats garageband can use? Is there a way? What would I need to do this?

The first step would probably be to convert the samples into AIFF files, that's what GB's sample files are in.
But so far that's only a collection of samples - what you need is a sampler file that tells the software which sample to trigger with which key (the .exs files in GB's instrument library).
Since your software is old, t works pretty well with soundfonts (the latest versions have problems), so you might try this software to create them:

How to add host in OEM for which agent is already deployed

I had installed OEM 12c Cloud Control previously. From that OEM I had added certain host. While adding those hosts I deployed agents on them. Now I am not using that OEM anymore. I have freshly installed OEM again and now I want to add the same host. Is is possible to use the same agent which was deployed earlier on the host which I want to add as target. If yes, then what steps do I need to follow to add a host as a target in OEM for which an agent is already deployed. That means I want to by-pass the step which deploys an agent to the target host and reuse the already deployed agent.

Yes this is possible. To use an installed agent with a new OMS you can follow these steps:
1. Shut down the running 12c agent with the below command:
$AGENT_INSTANCE_HOME/bin/emctl stop agent
2. Remove the agent instance home:
rm -rf $AGENT_INSTANCE_HOME
3. Manually remove the targets monitored by the agent in the EM console (sounds like you don't need to do this as the EM installation is no longer present)
4. Create a new instance home pointing to the new oms:
$AGENT_BASE_DIR/core/12.1.0.1.0/sysman/install/agentDeploy.sh
AGENT_BASE_DIR=<location of the agent base dir> OMS_HOST=<oms hostname>
EM_UPLOAD_PORT=<http/https upload port>
AGENT_REGISTRATION_PASSWORD=<registration password>
AGENT_INSTANCE_HOME=<absolute path where the instance home has to be created>

How do I open software instrument interfaces like ES1, etc?

I am completely new to Logic. I just got Logic Pro X and even after browsing the manual, I can't figure out something that should be pretty simple: how do I open the special visual interfaces for the software instruments like ES1, Sculpture, etc.? I don't see these listed in my instruments library either. I'm just really confused and would really appreciate some help. Thanks!

That's interesting to me, my "slots" don't "depict three symbols in a row" after having just created a SI track, only after loading them

If you click on the empty field below the I/O in the channel strip of a audio instrument track you should see the menu for inserting or selecting any instrument

How to add agent software in the agent software update list from OEM12C?

The OMS version is 12C. In the OEM web page, the agent software should have a list for all platform in the agent software update list, where you can go from setup => extensibility => self update => agent software. But we only have agent for linux. The rest of them were removed earlier. We need to add back the agent software for Sun SPARC and Sun x86 (intel). Can somebody tell how to do it?

If you have deleted the agent software in self update then its very simple to get them back.
a) From the Self Update page, select the Agent Software entity, then click Check Updates to get the latest agent binaries
b) A job is triggered and once it is done, you will see that the Available Updates column has been updated. A confirmation message is also displayed.

How to add Delivery Note to RSEG in verified and already posted invoice

I have verified and posted an invoice against a purchase order (before the goods receipt). Now the goods receipt has been done I would like to be able to link this goods receipt with this verified invoice. As far a I know It would be enough if i was able to modify field XBLNR in table RSEG, but as the invoice is already posted the system doesn't allow it. How should I proceed?

You can do the following.
1.- Go to MIR4 with your document.
2.- Select "Follow-On documents" button.
3.- In the next screen, select the "Change mode" button.
4.- Now, select the "Display document header" button (it is the hat icon).
5.- Finally, you can change your "Reference" field.

HT5085 how to add previous libraries to my current library of Itunes purchased songs

I was able to recover some data from a Windows computer that completely crashed on me. I now have a Mac. I have downloaded all of my previous ITunes purchases, but I'm trying to reconstruct my entire library, even if I have to do it with ITunes Match. I see a folder with "previous ITunes libraries." How do I get these libraries (and hopefully my full song library integrated into current library? Also, I probably have other backed up ITunes libraries that I can recover from an online back-up. Is the procedure the same for those libraries also? Thanks!

How to add Local Software Products to discovered products

I have created a few Local Software Products, when I scan the workstations they are "discovered" as being installed.
But when I check my Asset Management > Discovered Products it does not show up there.
How do I get them to show up there so I can associate a license to it using asset management.
