I am trying to research step progression in Peoplesoft 9 & did all the setup.I can see the employee in review wage progression page with Approved status.As the final step, i ran HR_WP_ADV App Engine. .But is not inserting row into jobdata & giving error "Cannot Job data CI for employee 'emplid' ".
Any help please!!
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
The Project was in version 11.1.3 before I migrated. I had the issue above so I migrated to 11.1.1.4 then to 11.1.1.5 then to the New GREAT 11.1.2 to go by the matrix of support The issue is still there.
Basic Page layout:
SEARCH-MASTER-PANELTABBED LAYOUT (Hold all the CHILDREN RECORDS)
PANEL TAB is made of ; SHOW DETAIL ITEM- PANEL COLLECTION- TABLE.
the panel collection has a toolbar with 2 buttons in it.
My issue varies:
Hit create insert==> record count goes up one but the table does not render (it goes all blank even if records existed in it)
Hit undo budo ==>table still not rendering. (click next on master record then click previous to come back, the table renders correctly.)
other tables do the following:
Hit Create insert == > table shows normally and I can enter new record.
Hit undo ==> table count goes down but table does not render at all anymore.
for this issue i noticed if i set cache results to false the table works after hitting undo
IF I CREATE A NEW SHOW DETAIL ITEM and put exactly what the other tabs have in them and use the same layouts and buttons the new table works great!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????? WTF?!?!?!?!
NO ERROR MESSAGES even at finest level are thrown.
I HAD NO ISSUES IN THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF JDEV IS THIS A JSF 2.0 BUG????
BY THE WAY JDEV 11.1.2 sometimes CRASHES or Hangs when viewing the Binding of Page when you click on Binding straight from the Design view. I have to open the Binding Page separate to view it. FYI

  • Netweaver Error in Logs - JRA - Could Not Insert Row To ResultSet

    Hi there
    we have an MII 12.1.5 instance (with Patch) installed on a Netweaver platform (SP 3).  We're using the JRA action blocks to call an RFC (we populate the request doc with multiple nodes first) and they're all executing completely without any problems at face value.  When I look at the Netweaver logs (MII filter on), I'm getting quite a few entries per transaction run which hold the following Error Messages:
    Message:
    Could Not Insert Row To ResultSet
    Category:
    /Applications/XMII/Xacute
    or
    com.sap.xmii.storage.connections.JRAUtil
    Location:
    com.sap.xmii.storage.connections.JRAUtil
    Application:
    sap.com/xappsxmiiear
    Has anyone seen these errors or know what could be causing them?
    Thanks,
    Lawrence

    Hi.
    This is a known issue and have been there in some versions, the JRA action block seems to be working (but causes this problem in the Netweaver log) and the JCO action block do not have this problem.
    I have just reported as an OSS to SAP.

  • Gets a created but not inserted row passivated?

    Hi,
    I'm facing a problem concerning that a VO looses its created but not inserted row after passivateState --> activateState.
    The result is that the VO has another row a current row after activateState.
    Any comments?
    Is there a solution? Implement passivateState() and activateState() for that VO Class?
    Configuation problem?
    Thanks,
    Markus

    Hi Steve,
    sorry, I tried, but I can' t reproduce the problem with a sample application. This means that a created (yes, build-in operation) but not inserted row gets passivated and activated!
    There is something fishy with my application because I can't set the state token validation to false. When it is set to false than the new row don't get passivated and activated. :-(
    Thanks,
    Markus

  • JTable Blank Rows When INSERT/DELETE in other panel with same ViewObject

    Hi,
    Jdev 10.1.2
    JClient
    2 panels based on same ViewObject in same AM
    One panel with Grid UI => JTable
    Other panel with Form UI
    When I insert or delete a record in the panel with Form UI and return to the panel with JTable blank rows are displayed.
    The problem remains even after commiting before returning to JTable panel.
    When I activate the execute button in the JTable panel, the display is OK but the currency is lost.
    I suppose calling the refresh method when returning to the JTable panel should solve the problem.
    Can you please suggest me a server-side/model workaround:
    refresh (which option to use ??)
    Thanks
    Frederic
    PS I tried the workaround of thread 10.1.2 JClient binding Error. but that doesn't help.

    Same problem with default wizard generated Master-Detail Form.
    When in the detail more then 10 rows exist, the scrollbar shows that not all rows are displayed.
    If I use the scrollbar to view the last rows they are blank, in order to display them I must activate the next button one time for each additional row.
    The workaround is to enter -1 in the range size of the iterator.
    But what if the range size is 10.
    Is the blank rows display a bug?
    OR
    Must the scrolling area (size of JScrollPane) be defined according to the range size of the iterator?
    If the latter is true:
    Can somebody give me some clues on which attributes of the JScrollPane must be set (PreferredSize, MinimumSize ??) and on how to calculate this area: total width & total height if the row height for the table is set to 20?
    Your help will be appreciated
    Frederic

  • Help!!urgent!!can not insert/update clob:the row containing the lob is not locked

    Hi,
    could you do me help?
    i can not insert a string into a oracle clob field, it echo as:
    ORA22920 row containing the lob value is not locked. ORA 06512 at "SYS.DBMS_LOB" line 708
    ORA 06512 at line 1;
    what its means? please.
    my table defined as : create table clob1(id number(5),mclob clob default empty_clob()); the id is create by a sequece of test_sequence automaticly.
    my code as belows:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    //import oracle.sql.*;
    public class test4 {
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    String url_String
    = "jdbc:oracle:thin:test/test@myhost:1521:myorcl";
    try {
    Class.forName
    ("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    java.sql.Connection con =
    java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(url_String);
    con.setAutoCommit(true);
    Statement stmt
    =con.createStatement();
    String sqlStr ="insert into
    clob1 (mclob) " + "values(empty_clob())";
    stmt.executeUpdate(sqlStr);
    String query = "select
    test_seq.CURRVAL from dual";
    ResultSet rs =stmt.executeQuery
    (query);
    rs.next();
    int currval =rs.getInt(1);
    query = "select * from clob1 where
    id="+currval;
    String str
    ="abcedefhijklmnopqrstuvwxyz";
    rs =stmt.executeQuery(query);
    rs.next();
    java.sql.Clob clob1
    =rs.getClob(2);
    oracle.sql.CLOB clob=
    (oracle.sql.CLOB)clob1;
    System.out.print(clob);
    java.io.Writer
    wr=clob.getCharacterOutputStream();
    wr.write(str);
    wr.flush();
    wr.close();
    stmt.close();
    con.close();
    } catch(Exception ex) {
    System.err.println("SQLException: "
    + ex.getMessage());
    null

    Hi,
    To avoid ORA-22920 error while selecting lob column, use the 'for update' clause in the select statement like :
    query = "select * from clob1 where id="+currval+" FOR UPDATE" ;
    This should solve the problem. However, after fixing this, you might get the error :
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-1002: fetch out of sequence
    I got this error when testing your code. To avoid this error, before executing 'select ... for update' statement Set AutoCommit to OFF, like :
    query = "select * from clob1 where id="+currval+" FOR UPDATE" ;
    con.setAutoCommit(false);
    rs =stmt.executeQuery(query);
    Hope that Helps,
    Srinivas

  • Mapping is done ....but it is not inserting any rows

    hi,
    Mapping is validated successfully.
    We will deploy the code in the backend by generating the code.
    When the package is created and executed It.It shows me procedure completed succesfully...But it will not insert any rows.
    I am unable to find the reason for it.Please help me in solving this.
    Thanks,
    kiran

    what is your owb version
    how many rows are there in source
    what is your filter criteria and are any rows returned through simple sql but using that filter criteria.
    what is the loading type of your target table
    the ebst way is to debug the map and find out, i wouldnt recomment using backend code to debug as the ebst option since debug facility is availabe in owb, if that doesnt work then probably you can try using the package code.

  • ADF Table sorting not working for  newly inserted rows

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.2
    I am trying to sort the table after inserting the mew rows using ADF Table UI sort option, But the newly inserted rows are not getting sorted.
    The code i am using to add a row is:
            ComplianceLibraryAMImpl am = getDataControl();
            EmKeywordVOImpl rep = am.getEmKeywordVO1();
            NameValuePairs nvp = new NameValuePairs();
            nvp.setAttribute("KeywordName", keyword);
            Row row1 = rep.createAndInitRow(nvp);
            rep.insertRow(row1);After this addition we are doing ppr on the table and then trying to sort using sort icon in table.
    But the newly added rows are not taking part in sort.
    What am i missing?
    Thanks,
    Tripuresh

    This is the expected behavior. Check bug 9109010 - newly added and unsaved rows don't participate in sorting as per design. Try saving the rows and then sorting.

    Aditya

  • Query the new inserted but not committed row join with db

    Hi,
    I have one vo based on two EOs, one is for update and another is for reference. When inserting a new row, is there any way I can retrieve the data from the reference EM based on the join condition for the new inserted row from the reference EO. If the inserted row is committed, it is not an issue. Before the commit, the join is between the memory and db. I tried to set the VO query mode to
    ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_ENTITY_ROWS|ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_UNPOSTED_ENTITY_ROW, it does not get the column values from the reference EO.
    If I use sql, I insert row in one table, then join query this table and another table, within the same transaction, I can get the new row joining with other table rows before committing the trans.
    Thx
    Hu

    I think you don't need to change the query execution mode

  • InsertRow does not show the inserted row on the view

    hello:
    The code below works well and shows the row on the view when added. However, when there are several existing rows and I have to scroll to next pages. an insert button on that page does not show the new Row at all. Is there a way for me to see the row even if I scroll over to the last page and try an insert?
    ViewObject myVO = this.getMyView();
    Row newRow = myVO.createRow();
    newRow.setAttribute("Id", myId);
    myO.insertRow(newRow);
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I also have problems with code above for inserting a new row.
    When I insert a new row in a table and click on column header (to change sorting), that row (and any other new row before committing) disappears from table. And if I commit that table (without missing row), the missing row reappears with next refresh.
    Selection in that table (using SelectOne component with Autosubmit=true) also doesn't work with new rows (with existing rows it works fine). Selection allways sticks on first inserted row!
    Something weird is happening here...
    Please help.

  • Inserted rows not distributed to all GUI components

    Hi there,
    I have two RowSetInfo objects 'rsi1,rsi2' pointing to the same ViewObject 'vo' under one SessionInfo object 'si'. If I add new row to rsi1 it gets displayed in one GridControl that uses rsi1 but I can't see the new row in other GridControl using rsi2. • Rows are not inserted in the order entered - Forms 4.5 to 9i database

    hi
    we are using forms 4.5 version with 9i oracle database.
    when we save a multi-record block (for eg 5 rows)
    the records are not inserted in the database in the
    order in which they are entered.
    for eg if we enter A,B,C,D,E Records and save
    on query the records appearing in the order of C,D,E
    A,B like that.
    Is there any database parameter or setting which
    effects the order of inserting rows in the database(when using forms 4.5).
    Pls inform if you have any solution.
    Thanks in advance
    cks

    This is a very common misconception.
    You should never concern yourself about the order in which rows are stored in the database. Oracle does not guarantee to return rows in any particular order so you must specify an order by clause when you select the rows.
    Without an order by clause, there are various reasons why the order of selected rows could change in different circumstances, and the order in which they are stored should be treated as irrelevant.

  • Popup not INSERTing into table and not refreshing called page ...

    Greetings
    Environment: APEX 3.1.1.00.09 on AIX 5.3 in 10gR2
    I have read many of the threads concerning my issue and I feel I am getting close to the answer but somehow have combined too many of the suggestions and am tripping over my own code.
    Please look at my sample application on apex.oracle.com:
    Workspace: galway
    User: gwicke
    Password: gwicke
    Please start with Page3, select any Agency and then click 'Add New Contract'.
    There is currently a <strong>BOLD </strong>label 'Add New Builder' that is a link that should open a popup window. Type any name into the field and click 'Create Builder'. This should INSERT the row into the builder table, close the popup, assign the new builder name to the calling page item 'Builder Name' and populate the screen item.
    In it's current state, the application will open the popup window, allow entry and close upon clicking the 'Create Builder' button. However the new builder is NOT inserted into the table and the calling page item is not populated.
    By looking at the Page Items and Session State I can see the correct values assigned to the 'Pn_BULDER_NAME' items on both the popup page (4) and the calling page (2) but the value does not appear on the screen.
    I've read where there's really two parallel universes, no sorry, two versions of the screen items, one in Session State and one that is displayed in the browser and there are steps to take to be sure the one displayed is updated from Session State as I would like in this case.
    I've entered Javascript code in the Page4 - header to define the 'passBack2()' function and code in the 'Optional URL Redirect' section of the 'Add Builder' button to hopefully execute the ARP for the INSERT, assign the Page2 items and close the popup. It doesn't quite get all that done.
    Any helpp is greatly appreciated. Thanks to Denes for most of the code suggestions I've followed.
    -gary

    Hi Gary,
    I think that there's a very simple solution to this - didn't really spot it last night.
    Firstly, yes, you could use a "button" to handle the call for the popup - just make sure that the button is a URL type "button" that is actually an A tag with the call in the URL target setting. Alternatively, you could take you existing A tag and use the same class attribute for one of your buttons as this should make it look like a button.
    More importantly, though, I think that we could do it as:
    1 - On your page 2 popup call, clear that cache for page 4 (the popup page) - I have already done this in your app by updating the url
    2 - On the popup page, allow the user to enter in their desired P4_BUILDER_NAME value (not sure if you want to do something to make this unique?)
    3 - Let the user click the Create button on the popup. This will submit the page, which will get your P4_BUILDER_RANK (the pk) value and insert a new record into the table (you could consider creating a sequence and a trigger to handle the creation of a new PK value?).
    4 - Assuming the P4_BUILDER_RANK then exists (it wouldn't if there was an error somewhere), then conditionally display a region that had a piece of javascript that submits page 2 and then closes itself - we don't need to pass anything back to page 2 (see below)
    5 - As the P4_BUILDER_NAME and P4_BUILDER_RANK exist in the session, when page 2 is being reloaded, (A) the select list would be updated with the new Builder (still not sure why all my entries appeared at the bottom instead of in alpha order??) and (B) both P2_BUILDER_NAME and P2_BUILDER_RANK can have Post Calculation Computations set (NVL(:P4_BUILDER_NAME,:P2_BUILDER_NAME) and NVL(:P4_BUILDER_RANK, :P2_BUILDER_RANK) respectively) - the effect of this is, if there are values stored in the P4 page items, we use them, otherwise we use whatever values were in the P2 page items
    6 - Finally, to stop (5) happening in all page 2 loads, you would need to clear the cache for page 4 in as many places as possible - eg, branches to page 2 or buttons on page 2
    The reason we can't pass values back to page 2 is that one of the items is a select list. The value we want to select won't appear on the select list until the page has been submitted. So, we can't set the value and submit because the value isn't there. We can't submit and set the value because javascript wouldn't know when the page has been updated (or, at least, you would have to put some independant mechanism in place to identify this, which may become complicated).
    So, simply put, as long as we know that if the values are in the session, we can use Post Calculation Computations to set our fields to these values. The only thing to bear in mind is that we need to ensure that these session values only exist when we need them - hence clearing the cache. This principle should work for any type of field - but, as you have no doubt seen, simple text fields can be updated by the popup directly as the field should accept any value we give it.
    My only other recommendation would be to completely remove the MRU processes from the page as these are not required (they just confuse the issue) and you could make your PK fetch and record insert into a single process - just to keep things neat and tidy, you understand!
    When I finished with your app last night, I did leave it so that javascript would create a new option on the select list and then set the value. But the above methodology seems to be a lot simpler.
