STILL GETTING BILLED for previous residence

I moved from NJ to NYC and I am still getting billed by Verizon. I was told the move would be simple, so I transferred my service. However when I moved, they opened a new account for NYC, but Verizon never transferred my account. They then told me that the NJ account had to be cancelled and cannot be transferred. I was upset but couldnt do anything about it. What was really annoying was Verizon charging me a cancellation fee after they had told me that they wouldnt. So they eventually cancelled my account. BUT I AM STILL BEING CHARGED EVERY MONTH. I have been on the phone with them several times and keep getting bounced around like a pinball. Each department keeps saying that the accounts department, doesnt deal with billing, billing doesnt deal with accounting, they dont deal with the actual service. How do I get this fixed? I am still paying for service in NYC, and am still getting billed for my old account that they claim to have cancelled. This has been the worse experience ever! I have called multiple times and this problem has not been resolved.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board. you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information.
To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

    Iclosed out my Account but It dosen't show it closed. I got a bill and I got online to see if I hadn't already Paid it. And it show's my account still active.

    It may show as active until the end of the billing cycle - then it will be deactivated and closed.

  • 30 day free trial terminated within a week and still getting bills

    Acc no **** .. 30 day trial started on 9/12 .. I was not satisfied with service so called up customer service got the services terminated and returned the equipment on 9/19 through ups.. I was assured that since I have terminated within the first month I owe nothing.. But I am still getting bills.. Frustrated explaining this to customer care

    Update on all that hullabaloo.  I sent a message to the BBB and the Attorney General about this AT&T U-Verse 30-day moneyback shenanigan..... and mentioned the waiver of installation and activation fees. While waiting, AT&T U-verse is still sending me bills for installation costs, non-return of equipment and a month's worth of service.   My wife, in an attempt to get AT&T to leave it alone, she sent them a check for the 10 days of service we used (before we quit them) along with a long letter describing how their handling of our situation makes for nothing but bad business.  We promised if they didn't get the hint, we'd take additional steps with the BBB & State Authority. I received a call from an AT&T representative.  She asked me several questions regarding my short-lived customership with AT&T - I answered with mention of all the same issues regarding 30-day money back if service was terminated within the 30-day period.... that the equipment was returned that same day the technician came out and disconnected service.... then She mentions "Yes, and you also sent in a check to cover partial usage of service."  I was surprised this AT&T representative was so well-informed.  She updated the account to show $0.00 and refunded the amount of the check we sent. Wonders sometimes cease.... and then show up like they never ceased.

    Is there an ETA on a fix for this?  If it's going to be awhile, can attachments just be disabled until it's fixed?

    In lieu of working attachments, I prefer recommending www.pixentral.com, for a couple of reasons:
    - The camera icon is limited to 2 MB, while Pixentral has a larger limit. For the metadata issues I often address, I of course want to see the original.  And not only is it inconvenient for the original poster to resize the image to upload it, but many Photoshop Elements users have difficulty resizing the pixel dimensions of photos.
    - When a 2 MB image is inserted with the camera icon, the Jive software inserts a link to the original 2 MB image and relies on browser-side image resizing, slowing down everyone's page downloads.  For an example:

    You can only download free app if you set payment method as None.

    If the computer is registered with Apple as new from December 2013, then if you search for the apps to "buy" (Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iMovie, iPhoto, Garageband) in the App store, it SHOULD give you the price as FREE.  If it does not, I suggest you contact Apple and ask their advice.
    This is what Apple say about eligibility for iWork and iLife for free:

    The only possible "glitch" in this is that you were not the original purchaser.  Speak to Apple and see what they say - they may be willing to facilitate the download for you.
