Stock bin to bin movement in the warehouse

Dear Experts
I am defining few storage types (for ex: A,B,C,D) in my warehouse.I am receiving material 'X' into the warehouse.
The business scenario is to move the material X from A to B and then B to C and then C to D provided that Storage type A and B have single storage bins.Its not a special stock, not in special stock category. The material is not supposed to be directed from A to C Or A to D.
All the movements are verymuch internal bin to bin movements.But we need a system guided movements.
How would I do this? Any special configuration Or development needed for this scenario.

Thanks for your immediate response.
You are right ..this way it does not work.
I could see the only option is to define parameter table with the fields like
Whare are you
(Source storage type field) : picking from : Destination St type: movement type
       A                     :                       -     :            B        :           999
       B                    :                        -     :            C         :          999
       C                      :                      -      :           D           :        999
I might need to define few more fields in this parameter table
When we run a custom transaction for Bin to Bin move, It initially reads this table
When the user scan the first location(sourc st type), It would read the first record of the parameter table and
moves the stock desitnation storag type.In the same way for B to C and C to D.
I hope this works.Please leave your comments.

 while i am doing transfer of order it is asking that storage unit type and the material stock is not maintained in storage bin .

A storage type generally contains several storage spaces or slots. These are called storage bins in Warehouse Management (WM). The storage bin is the smallest available unit of space in a warehouse. The storage bin therefore describes the position in the warehouse where the goods are or can be stored.
Since the address of a storage bin is frequently derived from a coordinate system, a storage bin is often referred to as a coordinate. The coordinate 01-02-03 for example, can refer to a storage bin in row 1, stack 2, and level 3.
You assign each storage bin to a specific warehouse number and storage type according to its location. You must also assign each storage bin to a storage section.
You can also define the following additional characteristics of a storage bin:
 --> Maximum weight
 --> Total capacity
 --> Fire containment section
 --> Storage bin type (for example, for small or large pallets)
With certain stock placement strategies, the storage bin type plays a significant role in optimizing the automatic search for a storage bin in connection with the pallet type. For example, you can define the WM putaway strategy to place large industrial pallets into a specific large bin type and smaller pallets into small bins.
For information on how to define storage bins, call up the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Warehouse Management and see under Master Data --> Storage Bins .
Generally speaking, you can use any combination of letters and numbers for a storage bin coordinate with the exception of certain alphanumeric characters that are used for stock placement strategy P (according to pallet or storage unit type).
When goods are placed into storage, the system selects coordinates in ascending order according to specific sort criteria, and assigns the next available storage bin based on the coordinate structure you define for creating bins.

I delete an album in itunes, and select "move to the recycle bin" the track files in itunes library get moved but the album folder stays-with nothing in it.

How do I get the album folder to move to the rcycle bin also? I have keep folders updated checked in preferences.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

Activate stock removal for all quant in the bin regardless the quantity

i have one requirement come from the business that the system should remove all the quntity exist in the bin regadelss the quantity requirement in the outbound Del. according to the charactristics of some material which is Bag , so we cann't issue part of the bag
i did something which is :
in the WM MVT ( 601 GI to delivery note ) i change the field overdelieveries to be active and the system PIck all the quantity regardless the quntity regardless the quantity required but the problem is
it is activated now for all storage type in the warehouse No.

HI ,
In Ware house management you can block the stock for Physical Inventory purpose. You cannot post the stock to the warehouse using Physical Invenory.
If there is a count going on so the concerned Warehouse bin is to be blocked during Inventory so that no further goods movement is possible during that period.
Once the Physical Inventory ids done the block can be released so that the movement can again happen.
The Inventory mangement initiates the transfer requirement. This transfer requirement is used for creating the transfer orders. The transfer order confirmation is done then which actually places the stock in the concerned bin mentioned in the order.
The stock in WM can be checked in LX24/ LX26 which is same as theat of MMBE of MM.

Bin to Bin transfer steps - Other than LT10(Stock List)

Hi All,
For internal stock trnasfer within warehouse, - bin to bin transfer, please let me know all the possible ways/methods to do it.
One process I am aware is to Create TO using stock list - LT10,
But can I create TO manually for bin to bin transfer ?? If yes, plz tell me input details - mainly movement type.
Is there any other method for bin to bin transfer steps in SAP?

I tried for above solution.I did not select confirm TO check box in LT10 but still when I go to LT12 transaction to confirm this TO system does allow me change the quantity as it shows all the entries in display mode (not editable).
Is there any customzing setting involved in this....? How to do that?

Blocked to Un-restricted stock in same bin

I have a bin with 5 PCE in blocked stock (S). Now, if I want to make it un-restricted in same bin what needs to be done. Please explain.

This would have the affect of moving the WAREHOUSE quantity from blocked to Unrestricted but leave the INVENTORY quantity in blocked stock - causing a difference between IM & WM inventory balances
Current situation IM: 3 S (Blocked) WM: 3 S (Blocked)
 After LT01 (WH only movement) IM: 3 S (Blocked - No change) WM: 3 U (Unrestricted)
This will result in error messages when the users try to issue 3 from stock using MIGO - stating that it is still in Blocked stock

Enhancement for bin to bin stock transfer

hi,
when i am using stock transfer bin to bin using LT01 transaction, an information message have to raise when same material/batch if destination bin already having.........
i already searched enhancement for above process "MWMTO001" i am correct or not?

Yes, that's correct. You are using the right enhancement.
It has the LTAK and LTAP tables which is the transfer order tables. This function will trigger during the TO creation.

Addition to stock in storage bin

Hi,
in the customizing LE-WM-Master data-Define Storage Type I have defined for storage type 500 that addition to stock is not allowed, so all the bins created in this storage type are not going to allow addition to stock even though in materials master this indicator is marked?
MY requirement is to not allow addition to stock to the bins if some material is placed in that bin even if there is available capacity, but this is true for 99% of the bins, meaning I need for 5 bins in particular, system allow addition to stock because I want to place in there 10 different materials that are really small compared to all other materials.
How can I achieve this?

When thinking of this setting you told me everything will work perfec if it worked, but even if I put in the customizing of storage type Addition to stock "M" and in the material master I mark the flag for addition to stock this does not work as spected, when I receive a PO with 2 materials on it, they go to 902, then I try to process the posting change notice but I get error no destination storage bin could be found in storage type XXX
These 2 materials have the same storage section, and I have correctly defined a strategy to place accordingly this storage section,
The current putaway is L next empty bin, and if I change to "I" addn to stock then system allows the putaway but just for one materials automatically, with the second one I still get the error but If I manually type the bin of the storage section then It allows putaway too.
Can you explain what needs to be done to allow putaway of stock in a storage type wich is divided into 3 storage sections, 2 of them are assigned to two bins each (2X2=4), and the last storage section is linked only to one bin.
The rare thing here is that in the first 2 storage section that have 2 bins each, I can put material on it only one palled on each bin, if for some reason only half pallet is placed, then no more stock can be placed there, How to check this capacities?
And for last the strategy is that system tries to putaway first in storage section 1, if no empty bin then try in sto section 2, and if no empty bin there, then it should go to storage section 3 (wich has only one bin attached) but I want to make this bin like infinite capacity so if there is no room in the first two storage sections (4 bins) then it will go to the las storage section wich can allow addition to stock and mix storage.
Please your inputs will be really appreciated

during outbound delivery creation, we need to do picking though transfer order. but the system cannot find stock at storage bin level....
how can we create stock at storgare bin level ?

Please check the stock for that item in LS24. If exists note down the storage type.
Check whether the Storage type search sequence exists for that particulare storage type in the TO by creating it manually. Create TO --> Click Storage type srch seq in the top and then check whether the storage type exists in the search. If not enter the storage type and push stock figures in the top and enter the qty needed and save it. Hope it helps.

Stock transfer from bin to bin

hi,
In stock transfer from bin to bin process i need solution for the below requirement...
a)The system must raise a warning when a material is transferred to another bin, which already contains the same material with a different batch number.
b)Transferring stock to a single batch location which already contains another material/batch is not allowed.
In bin to bin stock transfer process, it is possible by system to propose destination bin automatically ?

The requirements that you have may be fulfilled using 'mixed storage' options available in the storage type configuration. However, there are rigid prerequisities to use certain options such as usage of storage unit management and bulk storage strategy. You may look into a custom putaway strategy (MWMTO003) to fulfill your requirements.
As for automatic proposal of bin during bin-bin transfer, it is pretty much the same set up that you'd use for any other putaway. This includes, enabling storage type search (sections & bin type, if applicable) along with indicators, defining the relevant putaway strategy, and assignment of indicators in the material masters.

Stock movement in the sale order

Hi Gurus,
Can any one explain me how to configure the stock movement in the sale order. Our client has MTO and MTS types of production process. For MTO, once production process completed stock will come to the sale order. In case of MTS, when sale order created system is considering the stock lying in the unrestricted use. Instead of this we would like to have the validation such that first user should move the stock from unrestricted to sale order. ( here system should not consider materials lying in the unrestricted use).
Kindly let us know the processing steps for MTS scenario.

Could you provide more details? Is this the copy of your catalog, or the original catalog? Are you sure you didn't accidentally open some other catalog? If you try the catalogs under File->Open Recent, do you find your photos?

Backups will work properly if you restore the catalog file and the photos to their ORIGINAL locations.
