Stock transport order - Brazil - Business area

Hello!
We are just implementing a second plant in Brazil. Everything is fine - Customizing including the Branch and all the other legal stuff is done.
But: the system requires also to customize the Business area. Well unfortunately we don't want to work with business areas  - and we do not use them in our entire company....
Do we really need them as a requirement in Brazil or is there another way to get the business in two plants running?
thansk in advance
FLo

Dear,
If it is mandatory in BRAZIL, SAP might have given in SPRO path for brazil.
If you look at "Business  place" SAP has provided for countries like thiawan, phillipies etc... and
Business area is for HR and Consolidation and Financial accounting and SD.But  SAP is not mentioned this for all countries as  country specific.Only very very few of them have.
Its finance department call to have it or not.
In STO configuration SAP is not provided for this as a country specific. Its better you can check with others too.
Sorry, but i am not aware of Brazil requirements.

Pardhu

  • ME27 Stock Transport Order

    Hi gurús,
we have one problem with the Stock Transport Order.
During creation of Stock Transport Order, many deliveries are generated. This occurs, because system takes the information of the materials masters record: Planned delivery time (MRP II view) and calculate different delivery dates.
Checking the customizing I thought that the option is customers not to consider time of reprovisioning in the check of availability.
Spro => Materials Management => Purchasing => Purchase Order => Set up Stock Transport Order => Define Checking Rule.
This not this option working, since with or without tilde it generates several deliveries.
    Any suggestins?
    Reggarts.

    Hi,
Do you have MRP active in supplying plant?if so are you converting the requirements into procurement (either internally or externally)
May be due to the non availability of the material on perticular delivery date system is providing you number if deliveries.?Does the differrant deliveries created are ready to get delivered on that perticular delivery date or are they wil differrant dates.
Does your material is batch managed?if so some tmes , sysem creates differrant deliveries based upon the availability of batch stock in the suppplying storage location.
also please check one single storage location is having suffient stock coverage to cater in a single delivery.

  • Minimum order qty for Stock transport orders

    Hello
I wonder if there is any way to make the following fields from the Sales org 1 view in the material master to apply on Stock transport orders (ME21N, with subsequent delivery created in VL10B):
    Minimum order qty
    Minimum delivery qty
    Delivery unit
As of now in our system, it only works for Sales orders and related deliveries. But not for Stock transport orders with a supplying plant.
Also, if there is any other way to implement minimum order qty funcitonality and delivery for Stock transport orders, pls advice.
    Thanks,
    OT

    Hello
We are in an intracompany business case. The supplying and recieving plant are in the same company.
The situation is as follows: we are planning all replenishment manually without any involvement of MRP.
What we would like to achieve is the same functionality as of the minimum order/delivery quantities material master fields in the material master.
So when the planner creates the stock transfer order, he keys in supplying plant, material and quantity manually, then the warning message about the minimum order qty should appear.
So far I have not found any way to do this. Any ideas are greatfully received.

  • Inter - Company Stock Transport Order Issue

    MM SAP Gurus,
When I try working on "inter company stock transport order between two company codes."
I found the errors while creating PO(using document type UB)
    ie.
*1st Error -Material 1 not maintained in Plant 2.
2nd Error - Customer 1 does not exist (please check entry in plant 1)
3rd Error - Not possible to determine shipping data for material1)*
i couldnt find out the error................................
Here is the configuration done by me......
    Company codes:c1,c2
    Plant for c1:p1
    Plant for c2:p2
I m going to create and transfer stock from p2 to p1.
Here i m using stock transport order with billing(SD)
    Purchase org for c1:porg1
    Vendor for c1,porg1:v1
I assigned plant p2 in additional purchase data of vendor v1.
    Sales area for c2:sorg2,ds2,d2
    Customer for sales area(sorg1,ds1,d1):cust1
Now i go to mm->purchasing->purchase order->setup for stock transport order
    > for receiving plant p1 i assign cust1,sales area(sorg1,ds1,d1)
    > delivery type for supplying plant:NLCC
    >checking rule RP.
i assigned doc.type UB into receiving plant p1 and supplying plant p2.
Then, in ME21N used doc type UB, these r the errors::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
*1st Error -Material 1 not maintained in Plant 2.
2nd Error - Customer 1 does not exist (please check entry in plant 1)
3rd Error - Not possible to determine shipping data for material1)*
    I already maintained all this.
The doc type NB also I tried ,,,,,,,but same errors r being shown.
Also where to create the inter company a/cs for billing?
Please check the attached file for the error and let me know.

    ●     Vendor master u2013 supplying plant
Create the vendor for the purchasing organization of the receiving plant.
Assign the vendor to the supplying plant in the vendor master record.
From the menu, choose Logistics ® Materials Management ® Purchasing ® Master Data ® Vendor ® Purchasing ® Change (Current). Go to the Purchasing View and choose Extras ® Additional Purchasing Data.
    ●     Customer master u2013 receiving plant
Create a customer master record for the receiving plant. From this, both the address and the data that is relevant for shipping point determination, such as transportation zone and shipping condition are taken.
From the menu, choose Logistics ® Sales and Distribution ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Customer ® Create.
    The above is from help.SAP:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/4d/2b90dc43ad11d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Plz check this link for tht information.
So, basing on this: I have customer 1 and vendor 1 for CC1......
--> Customer 1 is assigned to the receiving plant with sales area1 in setup STO configuration.
--> Vendor 1 is assigned to the supplying plant in the vendor master.
--> My question for u is:
      1)  In ME21N, in the vendor field u assign the vendor from CC1 or CC2 (Because it says the vendor - external supplier if u read in F1 in tht vendor filed)
Company code , Purc Org, plant all this will be from CC1 in ME21N, right?????????
Material exists in both the plants P1 and P2.......right?????
    2) How to configure the inter - company accounts for the billing in sd for this STO scenario.???
    Please clarify these things.....
You will be appreciated and rewarded too.
    Thanks

  • Impact of different division on Stock Transport Order

We have a situation where we have one plant with one customer number, but we have 2 business areas of material going through it.  Example:  The material exists in divison 10 business area 15.  The customer is configured to business area 15. No problem here.  But we also have material in division 10 business area 13. The financial postings are correct, as the material comes out of 13 and goes into 13 on the receiving end, however on the stock transport order, it will show 10/15.  What is the impact of this? Will it affect reports? Do we need a separate plant for 10/13?  The configuration will not work with the business area blank.
    Please advise. Thank you.

    Hi
A product or service is always assigned to just one division. From the  point of view of sales and distribution, the use of divisions lets you organize your sales structure around groups of similar products or  product lines. This allows the people in a division who process orders  and service customers to specialize within a manageable area of  expertise.
The system uses divisions to determine the sales areas and the business areas for a material, product, or service.
So by changing division you are changing business area also. And you have cross and vertical reports business area wise and division wise. So standard report will not go wrong.
    regards

  • Overdelivery in intra-company stock transport order

    Hello,
I have the following scenario - I have two plants, 1000 and 2000, both under the same company code.
I transfer 450KG of material 123456 from plant 1000 using STO with SD (mvt. type 641), material is packed in HUs. In the receiving plant, the HUs are being place on a weight to check their actual weight. It;s possible for the actual weight be greater than the GI weight of 450KG (for example, due to weight scale accuracy issues) . When doing GR, I need to be able to receive quantity greater than the GI quantity. That is not allowed in stock transport order (per note 212387). For the same scenario with intercompany STO (GI mvt type 643) I'm able to post GR quantity which is greater than GI qty.
Any suggestion on how to solve this? Can I create a customer order type that is both intra-company and allows for overdelivery?
    Thanks,
    Yossi

a overdelivery does not make any sense in stock transfers, you would solve the problem of the stock accuracy in the receiving plant, but at the same time you create another problem with a negative stock in transit, that never gets cleared.
a STO having stock left in transit is never considered as closed. even intercompany stock transfers are not considered as closed, even you can receive more than issued.
Latest when archiving purchasing documents then you will see all your error in the process design, because only closed business cases can be archived.
in stock transfer business you always have to care about both sides, you cannot just care about the receiving plant and ignore the problems of the sending plant.

  • Change the valuation class of material [Stock transport order scenario]

    Dears,
Client would like to change the valuation class of material.
There is no open Purchase order/Process order/Purchase requistion and stock in plant.
Scenario- One Stock transport order is created.
For same goods issue (351-issuing plant) and goods receipt (101-receiving plant) is done.
When we are going to change the valuation class of said material, message is "purchase order is open
and it shows the no of STO [for which receipt and issue is done]"
To resolve this issue we had first delete the STO line item no(ME22N). Then change the valuation class.
(this allows). and then undelete the STO line item. Through this we can change the valuation class of material.
Please advise in such business process that this is right way or there may be other option.
    Thanks & Regards
    Rajan

    rajanshah219,
Here's my take on how to fix:
*Manually change Config TCode OMT4 - change message MM 326 & 327 to type "W"   (if open order exists...now you can enter through warning messages)
*If inventory exists, then issue out of stock to a cost center
    *Change valuation class
*Put stock back into inventory (reverse to that same cost center)  Note issue out and reverse back into inventory must happen in the same posting period.
**Valuation class should be changed as expected
**Manually change config  TCode OMT4 - change message MM 326 & 327 back to type "E"
    Thanks,
    Jason

  • Third party Stock Transport Order

    Hi,
We have a requirement as descibed below:
Plants A, B and C are live in SAP and belong to different company codes. The Plant B is the sales office and no production/purchasing happens at this plant. The vendor codes for Plant A & B with respective plant assignment is done and STO configuration for the procurment from Plant A to C and vice versa is set up in the system. Now, the requirement is Plant A intends to procure from plant C (in other words Plant C should deliver to Plant A) but the billing should happen from Plant B. The third party cross company sales is set up for Plant B making a cross company sales order with sales org of Plant B and production plant B for the external customer.
One of the solution is to make the Plant A as external customer of Plant B but somehow that doesn't follow the SAP Business Global Solution of the company.
Kindly advise if any solution from the procurement perspective (stock transport order) could serve the business requirement (Plant C to deliver to Plant A and billing from Plant B). Any kind of development should also be acceptable.
    Thanks in Advance,

To add to what Jurgen said:
Why would a second company code be an invoicing party? The business process doesn't make sense.
Also had the Plant C been a part of the same company code of Plant A (Supplying plant), then cross company STO could have easily mapped the scenario, by giving the Plant C as the invoicing party (PI) in the partner function of Plant A.

  • Stock transport Order control

    Hi Experts,
      Need advice on this.
My company is currently using STO to transfer stock between 2 plants belong to 2 different company codes. Due to this, the PO type that we use will be NB instead of the usual UB. This is based on the SAP configuration guide found in SPRO.
Due to this, the PO raised is actually a normal PO that the user can actually send to other vendors (not the interco vendor).
We are considering having a new PO type for STO only. Even if we do that, we are not able to find anything in config that allow us to control such that user will not raise to other vendors (non interco vendor) accidentatlly.
We are quite reluctant to code in the user exit. Based on SAP standard, am I missing anything out here that cause the PO type (dedicated solely for STO), to ensure that the only vendor raised is an interco vendor?
We need this urgently as I had spent too much time exploring on my own instead of coming here fast to seek expert advice.
           Thanks.

    Hi,
To avoid incorrect usage of document type, if business permits, the documnet type for general purchase from vendors may be configured as userdefined doc. type with Z, inorder to differentiate from the cross-company code stock transport order (NB).
As such while using the document type NB for the cross-company code STO, the field for vendor is automatically gets changed to "Supplying plant" which clearly diferentiates from the vendor purchases.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Proforma Invoice & Excise Invoice in Stock Transport Order

    Hi,
What is the business logic for creating a Proforma Invoice & Excise Invoice in Stock Transport Order?
My apologies for putting down the basis question before you.
    Regards,
    PK

    Hi
    1. In VF01 from where the net price will come.
you have to maintain in VK11
    2. On what value basis, the excise is going to be calculated in J1IIN.
It will calculate on your condition of excise in VK11 and value of VF01
    3. What are FI entries in VF01 & J1IIN in the case of Stock Transfer.
check with SD consultant he will clear you

  • Project Systems - Inter company stock transport orders

We are implementing SAP Project Systems module for our client as part of ECC 6.0 global roll out and we are looking for a solution to meet the with following business scenario:
The sales company (CC : US01)  receives a purchase order for large project from an external customer. The sales company creates a sales order in SAP with delivering plant  that belongs to another legal entity ( CC : US02 and plant : USP2) that has the main engg.facility . Two projects ( WBS elements ) are created for the sales company and engg.company . WBS element 1 element is used to drive milestone billing for the external customer and WBS2 element is created to post revenues and costs for the main engg.company
( CC :US02). The main engg.company plant ( USP2) has to procure sub structures from another legal entity in the company ( CC :US03 and plant :USP3) . We are creating an inter company stock transport order from USP2 ( main engg.company ) on plant USP3. In standard SAP , the stock transport order carries WBS2 that belongs to purchasing plant. But the business requirement is to have their own WBS element for USP3 plant to capture costs and revenues. What's the best of way of meeting the above business requirement either through standard SAP configuraion or some user exists with manual process.
I'd appreciate any suggestions or ideas from the experts !
    Thanks

  • Problem in creation of STO(stock transport order)

    hi all SAP gurus,
i am facing the problem in creation of stock transport order with ME21N code. i m getting the error msg of "Not possible to determine shipping data for material in STO "
i have checked the stock transport order setup in customization. but not getting the clear idea to come out from this problem.
if anybody have the idea of " how to do the customization of stock transport order setup, pls. let me explain.
    thnx in advance.
    rgrds,
    rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
when ur creating STO with UB doc type, then you have to maintain material in both the plants.
Regarding the error which is comming for you, you have to check the settings at
SPRO- IMG- MM-Purchasing-Set up stock transport order- Assign delivery type & Checking rule
here for document type UB and your supplying plant-XXXX select nothing for Dlv type(delivery type) and chr - 01 and after this save.
After this you create STO as you are doing and see what the system is prompting.
For any further clarification let me know.
    Regards,
    NJ

if you only have to display deliveries and stock transport orders you can take LIKP and LIPS for the deliveries and LTAK and LTAP for transport orders.
for all the other elements displayed by MD04 we would have to know about your setup: are you using dispo-areas (which would populate tables MDMA ...) so in that case please provide more information.
