Stolen iPOD 2010 and different computer-how to get my songs back?

My ipod was stolen in 2010. I no longer have the same computer.  Can I somehow retrieve my >500 iTunes songs?
I now have an iPod nano that I was hoping to find my library and put my old songs on it.

  • Had to reformat and reinstall leopard, how to get purchased songs back?

10.5.2 killed my imac, so I had to reformat and and reinstall leopard. How do I get items purchased from the itunes store back???

Remember the dialog box you get after downloading music from iTunes telling you to back up your music? I know Apple has, on occasion, allowed users to re-download music, but it isn't part of their policy. Contact the iTunes store via the online form and plead your case. Then figure out a backup scheme for music and use it.

What do you mean? You can't delete the Calendar app.
Just how did you delete the event?

  • How to get my song back?

    Hi there,
I have just subscribed I match and it looks like I have now a problem.
I had 50 songs downloaded on my iphone and ipad. Somehow most of my songs disappeared from my iphone and I was 13 left, eventhough on my ipad I still had my total list.
I subscribed Imatch from my Iphone, thinking that I was going to get them back from Ipad. What happened was the contrary, my ipad was update with same 13 songs. I am so upset, if I did a stupid mistake.
Is there way to get my songs back on my itunes account?
    Best regards

iTunes Match does not scan the music library on an iOS device. The service only scans an iTunes library. For music to be available in the cloud it must first be in the iTunes library. If you had music on your iPhone and/or iPad that was not in the iTunes library, when you enabled iTunes Match, that music is gone. It is your responsiblity to backup your personal data, including music.

  • I just reloaded my computer how do get my music back

i just completely reloaded my computer how do i restore my purchased music to my library

    From your backup copy.
You buy one and only one download.  it is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not reload you=r computer without making sure that your backup copy was up to date.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod. Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases

  • Water Damaged Ipod and Dead Computer - Can I get my playslists back?

My Ipod was recently water damaged and I have not been able to switch it on since then, I tried the rice method with no success. I even opened it as I was past my warrantee to see if I could let it dry but nothing. I was planning on buying a new Ipod this month but in the meantime the motherboard of my computer died and I was told I'd be better off buying a new laptop.
The computer repair shop said they would be able to back up the contents of my computer but were unsure whether my playlists would still be there. Is there anyway I can get my playlists, music and most importantly song ratings off my backed up music on my external hard drive?
Please tell me there is a solution, I have spent years classifying over 60g of music
I'm not sure I can handle losing my laptop, my Ipod and my song ratings in less than a month....
    Thanks!!!!

Tell the people who are backing up your computer to copy your entire iTunes Folder (NOT iTunes Music folder) to a different drive then copy that file to the new computer after installing iTunes.

  • I deleted everything off my Ipod touch and now I can't get my music back on.

A few days ago I deleted everything off my Ipod as there was stuff on there that I didn't want and that was taking up room. I seleted the 'erase all contents and settings' option as I thought that it would simply be a case of reconnecting it  to my computer in order to restore my music. But now when I connect it to the computer it doesn't pick it up in iTunes at all, its not under devices or anything. Also, when i turn it on now all that comes up is the apple logo, nothing else. I've tried everything from uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling the latest version to trying to restore my Ipod to its factory settings through iTunes but nothing works. I don't know if this makes any difference but i think it may have been jailbroken a couple of years ago (this was done by someone else not me) and that was what I was trying to delete, all the music and apps that they put on. Please help.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My music keeps jumping and i cant play it on my iphone since i backed up to icloud. can anyone help me and tell me how to get my music back to normal. thanks

my music on my uphone that i bought through itunes keeps jumping around and i cannot play it since i backed up my phone to icloud. Can anyone help me play my music again without it all jumping around. thanks

Backing up to iCloud should have nothing to do with how your music plays.  Try force-closing the misic app:  from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Music in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, tap the home button again.  Try your music again.

  • I wiped my stolen iPod, can the person that took it get the information back through iCloud?

He had all of my passwords. I changed my appleID and the password. He was using my iPod to get into accounts like emails and Facebook and was somehow getting all incoming and outgoing text messages from my phone from 1600 miles away. I just want to know if I have to change my phone number in order to be rid of the issue.

I misstated Leo's role, I should have said Leo's story regarding Mat Honan's experience with a remotely wiped Mac - and the circumstances leading to it being wiped by someone not its owner.
Point being that Honan stopped the wipe operation by disconnecting from his home network when he discovered it was being wiped. It may have stopped the wipe operation, the report on Apple's forensic effort to recover the portion that was not wiped has not been reported. But that was a MacBook, not an iPod. All iOS (pod, pad, phone) devices store their data with on-the-fly encryption, so if the wipe was successful, it is gone.
Unless your thief can social engineer a way to access your iCloud account (refer to the hacked iCloud story) I'd say the chances are very close to zero.

i am devistated! those songs bought me so many memories ! please help asap !!! x

The iPod is not a storage device, all songs should reside on a computer and you can only sync to one machine. However, if these songs were purchased from iTunes you can reload them (see link). If not, and you have no backup, then they are gone.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • Does anyone know how to copy my files from my ipod to a different computer?

Does anyone know how to copy my files from my ipod to a different computer? I tried to do it, but all that it did was erase my files. What i want to to is use my ipod to transfer my files to another computer (which has itunes as well) PLEASE help!

You will need to enable your iPod for disk use. Then, you should see your iPod in "My Computer" and you can open up your iPod's folder there and drag the files into it. You can store the files on the iPod, then connect it to the other computer and drag-and-drop them from the iPod into the designated directory in that computer. Make sure individual files are not larger than 4 GB.
