Stop answer-on-slide

I've got a N80 which is about 20 month old. At the begining answering the call on sliding worked properly and did not cause any problem. But then eventually the mechanism loosened up and any time I dig out my celly from the pocket it answers the call by itself and sometimes ends the talk.
Is there any way to stop "answer-on-slide"?

As far as I know, you cannot turn off this function on the N80.

Adding automatic stops afer each slide in a recorded project

I have a project recorded as demonstration, but I want to
make it stop after each slide and advance only on user action. I
don't want to be adding any buttons or anything - I am content with
the playback control provided by captivate. I don't see any reason

Hi Skippi.sk and welcome to our community
The only way to accomplish this is to insert either a click
box or a button on each slide. Probably the easiest way is using a
click box. object. Insert it on the first slide, size and position
as needed, then copy it. Then select slides two through the end and
paste the object.

How do I stop the first slide to be the name of the Album?

I've created a slide show but cannot figure out how to stop the first slide from being the name of the album against a black background. I'd just like for the first slide in the show, to be the first slide in the show.

I have a similar problem, though not with a title. (I have unchecked the "Show Title Slide" option.)
Why, when I export a slideshow under the Slideshow tab, does it generate a black first slide? How do I get it simply to start with the first photo?

LR2 Export jpeg slideshow stops before all slides exported

I have tried twice to export a slideshow of 300 slides. The first attempt stopped after 29 slides, the second stopped after 61 slides. No error messages appeared.
I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, 4 GB memory and 179 GB free on my HDD.
How can I get LR2 to complete the export? Is this a bug?

I tried the standard previews, but today's attempt exported only the first 7 files, followed by a file called "USA2008_3-007.jpeg.swp", then stopped.
I've decided to give up on this as we had no success with what we wanted to do. The slides were intended for import into Premiere Elements to produce a slideshow for use on a PAL TV, so I exported the slides at 720 x 576 (which my research tells me is the correct resolution for PAL TV) but when the resulting slideshow was played on TV the captions at the bottom of the slides were cut off. So, I will simply export the pictures from the Library module and use those.

HP laserjet 1536dnf - Automatic answer mode stopped answering

When my printer was installed and I set up incoming faxes for automatic answer mode at 5 rings, it worked great for about 2 weeks then stopped answering. Now the only way for me to receive faxes is manually. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am currently using a dedicated fax analog line.

I see by your post that the printer stopped auto answering the faxes.
I can help you with this issue.
I would do a power reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.
Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
Update the printer's firmware.

When i cancel one dvd recording the windows stop answering....

... And the dvd dissapear..... FOREVER!
I Tryed this:
-Click on the cancel button -Then the window stop answering and didnt even stop recording my dvd-
-Reinit the finder... NO WAY. Do not run
-Force the end of the finder process... NO WAY... Do not run
-Reinit the computer....Well then the dvd is not there!!!!!! on the finder!
I wonder how can i "mount" the dvd when is not visible on the finder
Now i think you can access the unit with the disks utility... but this is one "arcane" place to find your dvd... I am sure many users never ever opened that tool
Can i mount the dvd from the UNIX shell? -sh-. Anyway this is not a good solution for the average user BUT COULD be ok for me
... And reinit the computer is not a "nice way" as well

Illustrator stop answering and quiting when trying to save

My illustrator CS6, for a reason i'm not able to locate, is not able to save files in an ai format. It stops answering and then finally quit.
It seems to happen when the file is containing other formates like jpeg, dwg, pdf, png etc. when i'm only drawing in illustrator it is able to save.
I have twice rebooted my system after trying every suggestions i could find online, like updating etc. It seems to fix the issue for a time, but then after some time it just stops functioning, I consider it a very bad solution to periodically reboot my system.
One clue i have is that it might be a conflict with the microsoft visual C++, because the error seems to appear after using comuter games which installs microsoft visual C++. But reinstalling either Illustrator ot microsft visual C++ don't solve the problem.
Finally it might be a problem with windows 7, but i can't see a way to fix it and it's works fine when my system is freshly rebooted.
Hope someone can give me a clue as how to solve this problem, because it's very frustrating.

Why one stop answering user's request where the other down ?

We build a rac system with two nodes,the oracle version is 9.2.0.3.
While one machine break down suddenly, the other machine stop
answering user's request untile 2 minutes later? We cannot understand
this , which doc describe this situation?
I think while the nodes two break down, the user's connected to this
nodes will wait until fail over to node1, but with user's who has
connected to node one, or user's who want connect to node1, their work
will not be stoped. Is this right?

When NSLOOKUP starts, before anything else, it checks the computer's network configuration to determine the IP address of the DNS server that the computer uses.
Then it does a reverse DNS lookup on that IP address to determine the name of the DNS server.
If reverse DNS for that IP address is not setup correctly, then NSLOOKUP cannot determine the name associated with the IP address.

BT3510 answer machine stopped answering

Hi, my BT3510 stopped answering calls last week after approx 2 years of working fine.
I thought it odd that it had failed after such a short time but as we were happy with that design I simply bought an identical replacement 3510. I installed it last night & its doing exactly the same, as in not answering calls. I have checked the settings & tried different answer delays, no change.
Then i remembered that i renewed my contract last week & now wondering if this is just a coincidence or has something been changed on the line that is stopping the answering machine answering.
can anyone help ?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum. Is your phone ringing when its called and can you making outgoing calls or is the problems specific to only the answering machine?
I've found the user guide that explains how you make sure the phone is set to answer calls. If the problem is only with the answering machine there is a helpdesk number listed on the user guide and they should be able to help.

When I start syncing photos that I previously removed from my iPhone, iTunes stop answering.

I'm trying to sync photos that I removed from my iPhone back to it, via iTunes. It does contain some videos that I took too, it syncs the photos but when it's time to transfer the videos, iTunes stop answering.

I'm with you! I have 4 "Albums" on my phone, and two of them I don't get an option to delete. When I hit "Edit" it's litearly "edit" like redeye and such. And if I hit the little "arrow" that usually gives you more options, the options are to share to facebook, twitter, print, etc. It's taking up a lot of space!

N95 Stop answering calls on opening slide

Is there a way to disable answering a call by opening the slide on an N95? I want to answer by pressing just the answer key.

This is a -great- question. Every time I pull the phone out of my pocket it's already opened the slider and answered the call! I can't find an option that -requires- you to press the "send" green-phone key to answer a call.
Is it in there somewhere?

Help in stopping a 'busy' slide continuing

Hello
Am relatively new to this.
Am doing a slide which asks users a question (not a quiz slide though as not recording scores) and depending on which option they select it throws up a text caption telling them why that is the right or wrong answer and consequences of performing that particular option.
My problem is I can't stop the slide continuing after they have selected any of the options eg I want them to possibly click on other options too to see what info is thrown up on screen so as to spend as much time on the slide as possible. The only way I want them to progress to next slide is via the 'Next' button I have at bottom of slide
I have so far :
i) one big text caption at top of slide with the question
ii) four text captions A, B, C and D with the possible answers
iii) four click boxes covering the above text captions - properties set to 'pause project until user clicks' and a 'No Action' setting if user clicks outside of these
iv) four other text captions which are hidden and displayed depending on which option the user selects (the click boxes have a Show setting)
v) a 'Next' 'button at bottom - this is the only way I want the user to move to the next slide !
The only way I can see of getting this to work is to have the slide go on for 5 minutes or so !
So :-
1) basically does it sound as though I have missed a setting somewhere on one of click boxes or slide eg is the above possible ?
2) Is the only way to make the slide stay on to make it 5 minutes long or more !
3) is there a better way of doing this ??

If I did understand your question all right, this might work. I have been labeling some objects on slide 2 to make it easier to explain and to construct the advanced actions you will need:
labeled the Feedback captions (red Text Captions) A_Feedback, B_Feedback, C_Feedback, D_Feedback
labeled the click boxes over the black text boxes as CB_A, CB_B, CB_C and CB_D
I was wondering what the small click box in the top left corner was meant to do? I did delete it.
Then created one advanced actions for each of the labeled Click Boxes. I post a screenshot of the first of those actions A-action (the others are labeled B-action, C-action, D-action). It has these statements:
to show the right Feedback text, in this case A_Feedback
to hide the other 3 feedback captions, here B_Feedback, C_Feedback, D_Feedback - this is necessary because you asked the user to be able to click more than once on each caption, so if another caption is clicked the previous caption should disappear, am I right?
the last statement is to put the playhead one frame back, so that it wouldn't continue on the timeline
This A-action has to be attached to the click box CB_A
You can duplicate this action 3 times, and edit the duplicates so that you have B-action (you can edit the default action name); here you will have to change the object of two o the statements, the Show statement and one of the Hide statements. Create the 3 other actions this way and attach them to the corresponding Click box.
Try it out.

How to stop finder auto slide when click subfolder in columns view

when i use finder in the columns view and click something in the next level at right, the finder will slide right and relocate with the subfolder. how can i stop it.

You can't. It has to slide over to display the contents of the selected folder or the preview info.
As long as there is room in the window, nothing will shift.
You can always use List view if you don't want it to move.

Stop on last slide with active buttons

Hi everyone,
Am still a beginner with Captivate...please help:
I've got 4 buttons set up on the last slide of Movie1, functioning as a simple menu, sort of.
First button goes to Movie 2, second button jumps to Movie 5, third button jumps to Movie 8, with a last WATCH ALL button starting from Movie 2 as well. All these movies are linked to each other (ie. movie 3 starts when movie 2 finishes).
How do I get the Movie1 to stop on the last slide, with all 4 buttons remaining active?
In my published exe, the buttons work if and only if I click on them before the project comes to a stop.

While you can't really accomplish it with the Buttons as they stand, you can do something I did. Be creative! I inserted some "disabled" images of the buttons. Staged the images to be present when the Buttons could not be clicked. Then configured the Buttons to appear at the times when I wanted them to.
Here's a hint. If the Buttons are always in the same place, you may insert the "disabled" image on the first slide and configure it to display for the rest of the project.

Timing of text box will not appear. My text boxes stop working on slide 5 and they will not work for the remainder of the slide show.

Timing of text box not working. I get the first few slides to work and then on slide 5 my text boxes will not appear. And they do not appear for the rest of the slide show. Help anyone.

Text caption is timed to appear at 2 seconds, but you have a click box at 0sec. Its duration is very short, which means that I cannot see if there is a pause. I suspect this click box is pausing at the end of its timeline, which is at 0.3secs and the Text caption at 2 seconds will not appear before the user has clicked on that click box. The timeline is the core of Captivate, learn at least how to read it.

If you want the green text caption 'Click on...' to appear right at the beginning of the slide, you have to check its Timing accordion: set it to start at 0 secs instead of 2 secs and extend its duration to the 'rest of the slide'.
I don't know what is in the Group. That group and the HIghlight box will disappear at 3 seconds. Or maybe the action that is triggered by the Clickbox is different from 'Continue'?
