Stop Transaction Error Message Doesn't Display
Hi,
I am using a custom message, like "Results Not Yet Confirmed", in the Stop Transaction action. But this error message is not displaying when I run the JavaScript code. I used the expression "document.<AppletName>.getValue(1,1)".
Any clues?

What display type are you using? An iGrid? If so, try
document.appletName.getErrorMessage()
Otherwise, please provide more details - the display type and which MII version you are using.

Validation error message is not displayed for an attribute as an Input List Of Value

I use jdev 11.1.1.7.0
In my application I've created an Entity Obj and a View Obj base Employees table.
for the JobId attribute I've taken actions as listed below:
1. in Employees EO I've created a validation for this attribute and in some cases an error message returns (the error message is "the salary is not high"):
* Validation method for JobId.

I open the Popup and I select a row from the Popup list and then I click Ok. After that if the validation method(validateJobId) returns false, the error message("the salary is not high") must be show to the user. but the error message doesn't display. I don't understand why this happens.
Can anybody guide me about this problem?

Habibyes, you're right, I've tested it in 12.1.3 and error message was displayed.
it seems it's a bug(bad bug ) in both 11.1.1.7 and 12.1.2. and now what can I do? is there any way to display the the error message?

how can i stop an error message that comes up when i am using word? the error message is "word is unable to save the Autorecover file in the location specified. Make sure that you have specified a valid location for Autoreover files in Preferences,…"
It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

I have implemented the enhancement implimentation for one perticular transaction code and i am valdating the one field in the one sub screen and i am displaying the error message. but its displaying in that subcreen.
But my requirment is i need to display that message in another sub screen.
can any body tell me how it is possible to do the validations on one screen and displaying the error message in another screen.

Error Message is not displayed on the pop screen for chain end chain

I have called a screen in one of the standard program using enhancmenets,
and i had put validations using chain and end chain, but the error message is not displayed immediately on the screen
but it is displaying as log , i want the error should come on the same screen and it should not allow till the correct values are entered , how to handle it

have you tried option "LIKE" with instruction MESSAGE.
Example:MESSAGE ID '38' TYPE 'S' NUMBER 000 DISPLAY LIKE 'E' WITH 'My Message'.
And instead of using a MESSAGE instruction, why to not use a popup ?
Like using one of these function modules (for instance):
TMS_BCU_POPUP_TO_CONFIRM
POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_STEP
POPUP_TO_DECIDE
FC_POPUP_ERR_WARN_MESSAGE
etc...
If that does not work, perhaps it's your ehancement which is not the good one or perhaps you have use a second one.

For some reason, I keep getting the "iTunes has stopped working" error message on my Dell Latitude E6520 when trying to sync photos to my iPhone 3GS. I am using Windows 7 on my 64-bit computer. iTunes will begin to optimize the photos in the folder I have directed it to (I am trying to load almost 3000 photos and videos), and it will go through optimizing all of them singularly, then get to the step where it says "optimizing" again, but does so in bigger groups. It will get to about 2000, and then the error message "iTunes has stopped working" will pop up, and say that "Windows must close the program and will search for a solution, and if it finds one, it will notify me". Why can't I sync these photos, and what can I do? Thanks so much for the help, I really appreciate it!
Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. How do I stop MobileMe error message without a Preference Panel?
This MacBook running 10.6.8 has no MobileMe preference panel and no "ByHost" folder, so I can't follow the instructions found elsewhere here to stop the error message "You entered an invalid MobileMe member name or password. Verify your MobileMe member name and password in MobileMe System Preferences."
The error message keeps popping up and I can't figure out what program is producing it. I have removed the MobileMe account from iMail. I've checked iCal and Address Book, and they don't have MobileMe syncing turned on.Removing the MobileMe account from Mail (not iMail) won't remove the account's setting for Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). Look at the list in your remaining Mail accounts and delete the one for MobileMe. Otherwise, everytime you open Mail, that server connection will attempt to connect.

If you haven't already done these steps, this section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

I have removed every trace of Pithhelmet, (via spotlight)
Trashed the preferences for Safari, restarted computer to no avail.
It just keeps keepin on.
ThanksIn the past I was able to bypass the message by editing the Info.plist file and updating the MaxBundleVersion variable, but not so this time around. As of today the developer seems to indicate there's no immediate fix becuase of how Safari 5.1 handles multiprocess page rendering. Probably best to stay tuned to Mike's website for now.

If this SAME problems is effecting us all then suspect its not IPS problem as we all get problem at 995.6MB.
I would think that there is some kind of software conflict. If we all having this problem just think of how many users have the same but are not on this discussion board, bet you its 100s and 100s.
Not possible for me to visit store now but will monitor your responce's.

Can't install iTunes 11 on Widows 8, 'iTunes has stopped working' error message
Two months ago, I bought a new computer that uses Windows 8. I was running iTunes 10.6 on it fine until today, when it crashed for some unknown reason. Every time I've tried to open it again, I kept on getting a 'iTunes has stopped working' message. I've uninstalled 10.6 and tried installing iTunes 11, but keep getting the same 'iTunes has stopped working' error message with no other details. I've tried installing it as an administrator, but got same failed results.
Any help?

I often travel abroad and my host has changed Internet provider. Then my service was interrupted and I can't update iTunes. Any tips to stop the error messages?

I am having issues with iTunes stopping while im in the middle of the new iOS 5 download. It never fails while im just using itunes for anything except downloading the new software.
