Stoping music from playing

Just got touch yesterday and would like to know how to stop music from playing. I know you have to press the pause/ play button, but is the a true stop that brings you to previous or other list, or even home...Previously had a nano and when you stopped it it went back to playlist or previous page. Can you answer, anyone? Thanks.

As the others said there is no stop, only pause. However, there is an option to pause that's quicker then the others... Just unplug the headphones. The second the headphones are unplugged the music automatically pauses. I've got a radio transmitter for the car that plugs into the headphones and I love the fact that when I get where I'm going I just pop that out and leave. I don't even have to look at the ipod.

  • How can I stop iCloud music from playing while my iphone is on shuffle?

The hide feature does not stop the songs from playing it only removes them from sight. Or how can I remove songs from my iCloud.

    Hello RationalPuppet
If you go to Settings > Music and then toggle off Show All Music that will prevent from seeing your downloaded music. I have also provided other articles for hiding purchases and even deleting purchases from iTunes in the Cloud.

  • Stop music from playing

How do I prevent the music app from playing every time I end a call using my Bluetooth device or headset? It is very annoying when at work and a call ends my music automatically starts to play through the head set or my Bluetooth.

Sorry but this solution is **bleep**. This is a but that needs to be fixed. FYI, the problem show up if you end a call from the headset or from the screen.
Also, the Droid seems to issue stop commands for Music and other apps such as Google Listen. It's another bug that is likely related to the same issue.
    Google needs to get off their {word filter avoidance}
and fix the problem. Verizon needs to stop giving out {please keep your posts courteous} solutions and start pressing Google to fix the problem.

Hi    I understand you are having issues with your music application and I can certainly look into this for you.   Are you referring to the default music application or did you download another application via the app market?
What you can do is stop the music application completely when you are not using it.  You can do this by going to Menu-Settings-Applications-Manage Applications-Running and then click on the "music" application to force stop it.
Please let me know if this works or if you are using a different application.
    Thanks!

  • Stop music from playing automatically

I have some music files on my website (at http://www.opusonejazz.com/Opus%20One%20Vocal%20Jazz%20Ensemble/Music%20Samples. html), which apparently from a report I have gotten play automatically on some peoples computers (i don't know their system specs). I don't have the files set to play automatically-I checked the Javascript file.
How can I prevent the clips from playing automatically, no matter what a user's settings are?
    Thanks!

Your music file are set to not autoplay and your images used in your page are nearly as large in file size as them.
    http://www.opusonejazz.com/Opus%20One%20Vocal%20Jazz%20Ensemble/Images/Opus%20On e%27s%20First%20Photo.JPG
Over 1.5 MB's when it should be 20 KB's. Use something to reduce that file size and don't place so many files on the same page.

  • Charger stops music from playing on external speakers?!

Every time I plug in my iPhone4s to charge and I'm listening to music, the music stops playing out of the external plugs and plays in the phone as if I plugged it into a music dock. It makes me upset and I can't even hear it through my headphones :(

    Hello,
This is a matter of changing your sound settings under playback and recording tab.
You must set the speakers as the default playback device and as the default communication device.
Check this document, it might help you understand what I am referring to!!

  • How do I stop icloud music from playing on my iPhone?

Currently I have no music on my iPhone as I primarily use spotify. The only music is from iCloud, some of it I don't even remember downloading in the first place.
How can I stop this from downloading to my iPhone? Also, when I press the pause with my headphones on Spotify my iTunes music plays. Hoping that if I get rid of it that won't happen anymore.
    Already checked:

  • How to prevent music from playing accidentally

How does one stop the music function on the iphone, as opposed to simply pausing it? Sometimes, I think I have stopped it, then find later that it has been playing without me knowing and wasting battery.

When the iPod is playing in the background, there is a right facing blue arrow or play icon in the iPhone's status bar. Besides selecting pause, with the iPod available you can press and hold the home button for 5 seconds or so until the iPod quits and your iPhone returns to the home screen. I usually check the status bar since the blue play icon will not be in the status bar unless the iPod is playing.

  • Photo import is stopping my music from playing

When i am playing music on my ipod 20GB after a short while my music will stop and photo import will pop up on my screen and it says "no card inserted." I don't have a photo ipod i don't understand. I have tried resetting my ipod and i have even erased everything and started over and this still continues. Please show how to delete photo import or something.

I am having the exact same problem w/ my 20GB. I have an FM Transmitter for my iPod and need to remove it (while driving) to reset it back to music.
Sounds like a bug to me!

  • How to stop the music from playing ?

Okay, this might be an easy fix but I can't figure it out.
I listen to music on the iphone, enjoying and having fun. I then decided to stop, so I press the pause button since there isn't a stop button, then I turn the sleep/wake button to turn the unit off. I then notice after about a minute or two, the unit is playing music again.
How do I turn this off after I finish listening ??
    Thanks.

    Hey Rickie,
When you pause a track it should stay paused until you tap play or click the button on the iPhone Stereo Headset.
+When iPhone is locked, nothing happens if you touch the screen. You can still listen to+
+music and adjust the volume, and use the button on the included stereo headset to+
+play or pause a song, or answer or end a call.+

  • Stoping audio from playing across frames

hey ive got a site at www.trad-guitartuning.com, im playing a
series of mp3s one after another using an array and a function
which calls the member of the array "notes" out one after another
and plays them. The audio is loaded in externally using loadsound.
So basically there is a page with a movie clip on it containing a
bunch of buttons that each load a differnent set of mp3s in to the
array and then a movie clip opens up which has a play button to
play the array of mp3s just loaded. MY PROBLEM is that while the
array is playing, if you chose to move to another page or select
another set of mp3s to play then notes just keep repeating over and
over, ive tried clearInterval and stopallsounds() but they doesnt
seem to work. Any ideas ive attached the code or at least the
simpliest version of it below or you could check out the site.
    Thanks in advance

    I am using AS3.
If I place my audio into a MC and then place the MC into my
    main
Timeline, how would I then get it to do what I need?
    Thanks!!!!!

  • When i play music, it speeds up and skips. also, voice control screen stops music from playing. why?

This is very frustrating as I use the iPod function daily to listen to music while I work out.
I don't know what is causing this, and Apple's customer service line won't help me.

Wow thank you so much! I didn't even know that option existed! You were so much more helpful than customer service, I really, really appreciate it!

  • Button that links to later frame and also stops music from playing   in background

I have some audio playing that I want to stop when a user
    clicks on a
button that links to a later frame.
    Does this look correct?
    SoundMixer.stopAll();
    Btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, buttonClick1);
    function buttonClick1(event:MouseEvent):void{
    gotoAndStop(30);

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by this. Could you
    please show me
    the syntax?

  • Music keeps playing after I unplug headphones...

    Hello,
I may have just noticed this but, when I have the apple headphones plugged in, and I stop the music from playing what happens is when I unplug the headphones and ipod starts playing music again.
Is this a common problem? Is there a work-around?
    Thanks!

I'm getting almost the same problem that is really starting to bug me. It ONLY seems to happen when I'm using a different headset than the one that came with the iPhone. Since I want to cut down on the wear and tear of the stock IP headset (the one with the mike), I have been using the headset that came with my IT.
If I'm listening to the iPod music, there doesn't seem to be a problem. However, if I want to watch a youtube clip, listen to streaming radio (Tuner), etc, after only a few minutes, the iPod music starts up over the audio for whatever source I have going (youtube, etc.). This even happens in my car when I'm plugged into my Aux In.
A couple of months ago I took the IP in to see the Genius and got a load from him that dirt is causing the problem. He recommended I blow the audio port out with compressed air occasionally.
That really doesn't seem to correct this problem.
The only work-around seems to be to us the headset with the mike, but that doesn't help me in my car.
This problem occured with 2.0, 2.1 and now 2.2. I'm wondering if something is loose inside the IP and causing it to switch audio source if the IP is moved.
Today I tried turning off WiFi thinking maybe when the IP switches back and forth between WiFi and 3G, that might be causing the problem.
I also think this problem can drain the battery IF the music turns on accidently. All-in-all, I'm a bit torqued off about this.

  • I'm making a slideshow on iPhoto and can't get a custom music to play

I'm making a slideshow on IPhoto 9.5.1 and can't get a custom music file to play.  I've got all the latest updates and have selected what I think are all the rights boxes.  What is the most common error made that would keep music from playing?  The only music that will play while using the Ken Burns effect is the standard song.  Help!

Launch iTunes use the File -> Library -> Organize Library -> Reorganize Library menu option. Then quit and relaunch iPhoto.

  • IPhone 4S won't play music from internal speaker

My iPhone 4S is having an issue with the internal speaker. Originally, I was able to play music from iTunes, Pandora, videos, etc. w/out having headphones or an external speaker system connected to the audio input. Now, the phone isn't playing back sound from the internal speaker, unless I have headphones/speaker connected. Keyboard clicks and text message alerts are also not coming through, even though that option is turned on. The Ring/Silent button is on, the volume is on high, and I've also restarted the phone a few times. The only way I've got the internal speaker to play w/out having an external speaker system connected to the audio input is if I test different ringers; then it will playback, but not for any other audio format (videos, songs, keyboard clicks, etc.)
Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I'm out of ideas...Thank you!!

iWeb is an application to create webpages with.
It used to be part of the iLife suite of applications.
iWeb has no knowledge of the internal speaker on your iPhone.
