Stopping duplicate emails for outlook

Hi Guys,
I have a customer that has 2 email accounts. He asked to set-up a forwarding rule from one account to the other which was easily done. Now the problem is that when a customer emails him and cc his other account he gets two emails into his account one account.
So what I want to ask is there a rule that can be set-up to block duplicate emails using either the content of the email or the header as the duplicate emails will have the same heading.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I can think of a method, just kind of complicated, you may try it though:
In your scenario, let's say Account A forwards the email to Account B via a rule. We may create a rule in Account A, set it as "Where my name is in the Cc box and with specific words in the recipient's address, move it to a specified folder and
stop processing more rules", the specific words in the recipient's address should be set as Account B's address, then a message sent to B with A in the Cc box will be moved to a specific folder in Account A, and will not send to Account
B.
But I have to admit it may bring you some inconvenience, like you don't want do anything with the message in Account A, but now you have to move it to a specific folder. We may change it to "flagged" or "Play a sound" as you need.
I hope this can be a hint in your case.
We may also realize this via a VBA method but since it will try to match the duplicate items in the current folder, it may influence the program performance.
There are some 3rd-party add-ins which may clean up the duplicate items, you can find some on Internet as well.

    I think you are working with a POP3 account and issue of replicated emails in Outlook is common in the case of POP3 connection. So, first of all uncheck the
    “Leave a copy of messages on the server” option and see the results.
    Also, see the TasK Manager, if there are multiple “Outlook.exe” are running under the
    “Processes” tab, then end the unnecessary programs as each of them downloading the same email multiple times.

    It was Orange's fault. They no longer require the @fs appendage at the end of the account name in Outlook Express account properties.
    Wish they'd told me.

    Since upgrading to iOS 5.0 and converting from MobileMe to ICloud I get duplicate emails for same acount.  It's like a MobileMe account and a Icloud account...
    Plus I don't have any "On My Iphone" calanders, reminders, contacts, etc..  Not sure but maybe related...

    My recommendation would be to go to iTunes on the computer, under LIBRARY find the APPS tab and at the bottom it should say 9 Available Updates. Click on this, then you can update them from iTunes. To get them on your phone, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync (if you have iCloud set up).

  • My Mac Outlook 2011 Stopped Sending Emails for all POP Accounts from Different Providers

    I've had this problem before, but this time I am truly dumbfounded. My Outlook 2011 has randomly stopped sending emails, but I can still receive them. This has happened a few times and I normally change the ports/SSL and I can get it to work. But now I am at a loss. I have several email accounts that I manage. One of which is GMAIL, using IMAP, and this is the only account that currently works find receiving and sending. My POP accounts, four of them, all cannot send emails. They can only receive. One of them is with GoDaddy, and the other three are with an Asian company. I can't find any help on this. I've upgraded Office to the latest version. I've even deleted the accounts and added them back in, and I still can't send email. I'm frankly getting exhausted and sick of this type of problem happening. I honestly use this program and my MacBook Air to send clients information...only to find out hours later that a mail never sent because it's been stuck in my <hidden> Outbox in Outlook 2011. This has hurt me now badly on several occassions. Please HELP!

    All SMTP servers are set correctly as far as I can tell, the connection doctor says everything is fine, and I removed all my accounts to re-add them.  I added one and tried to send a message--stuck in the outbox--failed.  I added another account and deleted the first one and tried to send a message--stuck in the outbox--failed.  I'm pretty convinced the problem is with Mac's Mail client...I can send email from anywhere I've tried except for Mac's Mail client.  Thanks for the help.

  • Stopped receiving emails in Outlook Express.

    Two days ago I suddenly stopped receiving emails in my Outlook Express.
    Outlook Express is configured to receive from my old Orange address which has never been a problem. Thinking it might be a problem with my Orange account, I checked with them and they assure me my account is still active. (I regularly log into my Orange account to keep it active.) Everything's been working fine for the past 2 years.
    None of my settings have been changed. Outgoing mail is mail.btinternet.com, and incoming mail is pop.orangehome.co.uk.
    I have just realised that around the time this happened I got an email in my Hotmail about changing from Hotmail to Outlook. When I opened this it said thank you for switching to Outlook, and then instead of being in Hotmail I was suddenly in Outlook! It didn't even ask me if I wanted to or not. But I noticed there was an option there to switch back to Hotmail which I did immediately.
    Of course, I don't know if it was that that stopped my Outlook Express from receiving mail. (I can still send mail from Outlook Express.) But it's the only thing I can think off and it does seem an odd coincidence.
    I've tried doing a System Restore back to the day before this happened, thinking there might have been a registry change or something which could be undone, but this didn't help.
    I'm now at my wit's end and panicking a bit. I'm a disabled pensioner, living alone, and rely on Outlook Express for all my financial and shopping stuff.
    Does anyone have any ideas where I might go from here?

  • Stop duplicate emails in Mail

    How do I stop getting duplicate emails in my sent and draft folders of Mail?  When I send or save an email to drafts it replicates the email mutiple times (sometimes as many as 20 times) in the respective folder.  This only happens on my Mac Book Pro and not my Mac Pro.

I only use BY Yahoo on line to check and delete spam and do not read email online at BTYahoo.
    I have not, as far as I am aware, changed any of the settings in Outlook or on BTYahoo.
    The Bt help screen swere less than helpful as my BTyahoo pages do not seem to have the options they suggest.
    Another concern is the repeated downloading to outlook of the same emails will increase my braodband usage.

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
    Although receiving emails in Outlook will increase the usage, emails are generally very small - unless they all contain large attachments.
    Duplicate emails received in your case as described is generally down to an email fetch process from Outlook (or any mail client program) failing to complete the download, and hence an index into the received emails is not updated. When checking for emails again, it gets the same emails it had before until it properly finishes the fetch.
    There are a few reasons this can occur including communications failure, but also stuck emails can cause it to happen, possibly Outlook checking for emails at the exact same moment you are say deleting  spam via webmail at BTYahoo.
    I assume you've checked the online spam folder in case various emails are ending up there, as opposed to just deleting the spam from the online Inbox.

    What email 'provider'? If Hotmail (or other provider), see Csound's 'Helpful' reply in Sent items show twice on MAIL (IMAP) and read on in that thread.

  • After installing Firefox I lost all inbox emails for outlook for 2014 and all older emails are red flagged.

    I have now removed Firefox and named Outlook as my default browser. Still no emails for 2014. I am using Outlook 2010. Its odd that all the emails are now flagged. I am using Windows 7. I would really like to recover the lost emails.

    Are you using the Outlook 2010 that comes as part of Microsoft Office 2010? You may want to try a forum that is more specific to that product, such as:

  • How do I stop VCA emails for every incoming phone call

    I don't want all these emails cluttering up my inbox. I get an email every time I get an incoming call. Short of uninstalling Call Assistant entirely, how can I stop the email notifications of every single incoming phone call? I have made sure my settings do NOT request email notifications or alerts but it doesn't affect my getting these emails for every phone call that comes in. See example below. I added the header information manually.

    I was told by tech support that emails from [email protected] were controlled by Verizon and began getting sent to customers VZ_ID that is not the same as the primary Email account email address, but is the same mailbox. Verizon disabled the "Glitch" and now my VCA and TV Caller ID does not work. I was told the email notification that is entered in the VCA configuration is not the same as the VZ_ID. They stopped the Emails, now I have to bug them to fix what they broke. Don't want to be bothered right now. It is a pain to have something work and then someone breaks it.
