Storage location check in MFBF.

Dear Experts
We have actually maintained in the BOM all the issue s.loc for the components. the system also proposes the correct s.loc, but the users manually change them to something different. hence we want the system to give error message or authorization failed message for all those users who try to consume the components from other s.locs apart from what they have authorization too.
Just a though, can we control this via user exit? if yes, then does anybody know any userexit which can be used to check all the components s.locs entered by the user.
Regards,
Babarkhan

Dear Khan,
In the roles which has the authorization for MFBF,Check for this authorization object C_BACKFL (under the main object)
check for this object BF_POST ,check whether the tick mark is for all these values.
1 Post without correction
2 Display BOM/routing
3 Change BOM/routing
Better not include the tick mark for option 3 and i hope this will solve your problem,
So for the users who should not be authorized to change any BOM components, assign such a role which does not has the
parameter 3 assigned.
Check and revert

  • Storage Location check during 101

    Hi folks,
I am facing a problem and need ur help...
Though this is a security related issues but it requires Functional help...
A user who does not have authorization for Storage Location ABC (M_MSEG_LGO) is executing MIGO and is being able to do GR(101) against STPO for ABC...
The system trace shows that only 2 objects are getting checked viz M_MSEG_BWE (Goods Receipt for Purchase Order: Movement Type) and M_MSEG_WWE (Goods Receipt for Purchase Order: Plant). There is no check for Storage Location in Purchase Order...
The S Loc is defined in the PO and during MIGO it is getting picked from there..
How can i restrict this guy from posting 101 for ABC??...
Pls help before i am thrown out...
PS: The Storage Location authorization (M_MSEG_LGO) is available to the user BUT for a different location. Also the storage location ABC is authorization relevant in SPRO...
    thankx in advance
    Sachin

    hi sachin,
pls check the user roles defined. From what you have written, it seems that the object M_MSEG_LGO is getting bypassed for some reason. Pls check all the other roles that this particular user is assigned to. And pls don't worry. There's no way you are going to be thrown out with so many experts around to help you out with a solution. I'm sure everyone will echo my view. Be patient and check out the roles. Revert back.

  • MF60 Multiple Storage Location Check

    Hi Friends,
Could someone please tell me if it is possible for the Pull List (MF60) to look at multiple storage locations (say a staging location and a stock room)? If it possible then what config do I need to do?
I would really appreciate your help. Thanks
    Regards,
    JP

    Hi Mahesh,
I have tried that already but I faced the following problems:
    1) If there is a storage location assigned to the Material then when I run MF60 it only checks for the Material in the specified storage location even though I might have defined the stock determination strategy and defined the sequence for two storage locations in it.
    2) if I dont assign any storage location to the material (in the marerial master, BOM or routing) then when I run MF60 it doesn't come up with anything even though I have defined the stock determination strategy and defined the sequence for two storage locations in it. My production order doesn't show an issue storage location for the components but in this case if I do a order confirmation, then it uses the stock determination strategy to issue the component using the sequence defined
I hope I have explained these problems clearly but please let me know if you need any further information. I really appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

  • MRP run by excluding storage location

    Dear PP experts,
I have excluded storage location e.g. storage location 0001 from MRP in OMIR and also maintained the same in MRP 4 view in material master. As far as MRP run is considered system is ignoring the stock and giving the results.
But now we are facing the problem in quantity confirmation in sale order in transaction code CO06. The stock is existing in storage location 0001and is not confirmed for any other sale order.
We need to exclude the storage location in MRP but it should allow stock determination in sale order.
Pl. let me know how this can be achieved.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Prashant

    Dear Prasobh,
Thanks for the reply. There is no storage location mentioned in the sale order. I tried confirming the sale order by activating the No storage location check box, still it does not confirm the quantity. If we keep the check box "Check without RLT" blank then the sale order quantity gets confirmed. But the problem here is that it confirms quantity greater than what is available in stock i.e. if we enter any quantity it is confirmed.
I would like to ask one more question. The sale order confirms quantity available as per the ATP logic. When we have excluded the storage location from MRP the quantity is seen at storage location level and not at Plant level and hence it is not proposed in cummulative ATP quantity. Should the quantity be available in cummulative ATP quantity. If yes, how can be get that quantity in cummulative ATP quantity?
Is there any impact of MRP area? as we have MRP area activated. Within this Plant we have one MRP area at storage location level and the other MRP area as Plant excluding this storage location.

  • Default Plant and storage location for components in MFBF

    Hi,
I have 2 plants 1000-procurement plant and 2000- production plant. I am using special procurement key 70( Withdrawal from alternative plant from 1000 to 2000) for components in Plant 2000. The requirements for the components are transferred from 2000 plant to 1000 plant. The 1000 plant run MRP for the dependent requirements and procure the materials and transferred to the production storage location in Plant 2000.The raw materials are purchased in plant 1000 and transferred to Plant 2000 production storage location based on the manual reservations created with movement type 301. This is fine.
But when I do backflush in MFBF the plant and storage location for the components issue are displayed as plant 1000 which is the procurement plant  and the production storage location in plant 2000-production plant location. In the BOM the production storage location is production storage location of plant 2000. Since we use the special procurement key system defaults the plant as 1000(procurement  plant) insteadd of 2000(production plant). can we make this plant default to the production plant 2000 as default in the MFBF goods issue screen.
    thanks and regards
    Murugesan

    Hi MURUGESAN !
Can you give me some information more in Special Procument Configure in plant 2000 like:
              -  Procurement type (maybe F)
              -  Special procurement (Maybe U)
              -  Plant (Maybe 1000).
              - Issuing plant (maybe 2000)
           We will check together.

  • Storage Location level ATP check with CRM

    Hi:
I am on an implemenation where the integration is between CRM, EWM and GATP. So, consider the situation where the sales order check is done through CRM and a call to GATP is made.
    Some background on supply
EWM would like to receive the goods into storage location ROD (Received On Dock) and then do a movement type to move it to storage location AFS (Available For Sale). The sales orders should consider only the supply from storage location AFS and not ROD.
First question is, is it possible to do a storage location level determination in CRM? I don't think so but wanted to confirm. The reason is because even a plant determination is not possible in CRM when you integrate with GATP (the plant is determined through Rules).
Now, suppose that we have determined the storage location called AFS (in gATP through enhancement) and will do an ATP only at that level in GATP. Suppose that the first plant that will be checked is Plant A and then based on the location determination procedure, the next plant that will be checked is Plant B. When the system checks supply at Plant B, then the question is this: will it still check only at storage location AFS in Plant B or will it check at the plant level? The requirement will be to check at the same storage location level (which means that whatever process we used to determine the storage location at Plant A has to be followed for Plant B also).
One option that can be considered is to check at the Storage Location MRP Area level (there seems to be better support for RBA and Storage Location MRP Area than just storage location). See SAP Note 412314. But this is also complicated.
Another option is to not check at the storage location level but represent the various stocks with stock types (stock type ROD and stock type AFS) and only the stock type AFS will be used in the list of ATP categories.
Please share any experience that you may have in this.
    Thanks,

    Hi Satish,
In my project also we had this requirement to determine the correct Storage location after plant has been determined by using rules.
What we did is as follows:
    - We created a Z table which had entries for all plants and preferred storage locations for those plant (only one entry per plant) in your case it will be like:
    Plant A - AFC
    Plant B - AFC
    Plant C - AFC
    - We used a ATP user exit in APO to get the storage location of source plant ( which was determined in APO via rules) from the Z table.
    I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
    Thanks,

  • Re: ATP check at storage location level in sales order.

    Hi ,
I have a requirement wherein storage location is determined in my sales order,  the ATP check is done at plant level as well as storage location level , and the smaller of the two quantities is taken as the result of the ATP check.
My requirement is that the ATP check should only be performed at storage location level .
Please suggest if there is any standard setting available in SAP.
iF NO , PLEASE SUGGEST SUITABLE USER EXIT, WHERE I can add my requirement.
    Regards,
    Nilesh

    Hi Nilesh,
in SAP standard the system is always checking on plant level first and then on the storage location level, there is no possibility to change this behaviour.
I'm also not sure if the process is correct, because if you have also requirements on plant level only then you would create negative ATP if you confirm on storage location level even though there is no ATP on plant level.
I'm also not aware of a user-exit that would suite your requirement, additionally according to the IMG documentation the user-exits in the availability check area should only be carried out in agreement with SAP.

  • Availability Check at Storage Location Level.

    Hi All,
Currrently we have the availability check functionality happenin at the plant level. If the stock is available in the plant, then the sales order is getting confirmed. But, the requirement is if the stock is insufficient then system should check all storage locations attached to the plant. Can someone please guide as to how this can be achieved?
    Regards,
    Raghav

    Hi
This is not a standard SAP functionality. Either you have to input the storage location manually in the sales order or to automate this,  you have to enhance the functionality using a userexit.

  • Availibility check at Storage location level

    Dear all,
we have implemented inventory management ( not wm and lean wm ) , my business scenerio is when i am creating the STO the availibility check is carried out which is considering all the storage locations of supplying site
    e.g  SL01 - Unrestritrd Use
           SL02 - Damage
           SL03 - Resrved
My client requiremnt is when availibility check should carried out it should conside only one storage location i.e SL01 - Unrestricted use stock and should not considere Stock of other storage location except SL01.
What configuration need to be done

  • Availablity check at storage location level in STO

    Hi,
There is an unique requirement from my client with respect to the Availability check at storage location level in STO
    Process:
Based  on the inputs from APO we are creating STR for moving the material from one plant to another plant. These STR’s will be converted into STO through ME59N batch job. During STO creation process system will do the availability check and only if stock is available in the issuing plant then only STO will be generated.
During this availability check the stock will be considered at plant level and not at storage location level.
    Requirement/Scenario:
Issuing plant contains two storage location ( location A & B).FG stock exists in both the locations.
Our requirement is system should create separate line items in the STO based on the availability of the stock in the respective storage locations.
    Example
Total required qty: 1000  of material X
    material X - Stock in Storage location A  : 600
    material X - Stock in Storage location B : 400
Two separate line item needs to be created in the STO
    Sl no
    Material
    qty
    Issuing storage location
    1
    X
    600
    A
    2
    X
    400
    B
Is there any function module available for doing Availability check at storage location level so that it can be called in ME59N with the enhancement.
Please suggest how to achieve this. If any enhancements needs to be done we will do it.
    Thanks & regards,
    Prashanth

    Hi Nilesh,
in SAP standard the system is always checking on plant level first and then on the storage location level, there is no possibility to change this behaviour.

  • ATP check in certain storage location based on item category

    hi gurus,
i need to know whether any one can help me. i need to know how to set the availability check in certain storage location by each item category. such as :
mat A item category TAN, ATP check only include in SLOC 01,02,03
but mat A with item category TANN, ATP check only include SLoc 04.
    case:
    in MMBE:
    mat A
    plant 1000 pc
         sloc 01 - 400 pc
         sloc 02 - 200 pc
         sloc 03 - 300 pc
         sloc 04 - 100 pc
    so when create SO:
    1. mat A itCat TAN qty 1000pc
(Sistem will say that the stock not enough, bcoz stock in Sloc 01,02,03 only 900pc)
    2. mat A itCat TANN qty 200pc
(Sistem will say that the stock not enough, bcoz stock in Sloc 04 only 100pc)
actually i prefer to use the standard solution but i think that must be use user exit, if so, do u know which user exit i shuld used, if not maybe u have a standard solution,.
    thank you so much..

As per my knowledge there is standard solution available for your requirement.. you may need to do some customisation using Z tables..
