Store Attachements in IW32 Service order

Hello
I would like to automatically save the PDF generated from the print preview from the service order (transaction iw32) in "Services for orders" attachemnt list.
For example:
I generade a work order document in iw32 by Print - Order:
And I would like that this file is saved automatically in the attachment list (and via Archive link in our Content Server):
Does any know how I can achieve this?

Hi Marco,
Using Standard SAP it has to be done manually.
First generate the PDF and save it on local PC. Then upload it into Create Attachment.
Alternative.
Create an ABAP program to perform these operations without much manual intervention.

The following function modules should be useful:
   - CY_PRIMARY_SELECTION            - Function module for selection of orders for the work center
   - CY_SECONDARY_SELECTION          - Check for additional criteria
   - CR_CAPACITY_AVAILABLE_PERIODS   - Reads the available capacity from work center
   - HR_PERSON_READ_TIME_INFO        - Reads the available capacity from person (modification)
   - CY_GET_PART_CAPACITY            - used only for the first period to read backlog
   - CY_LOAD_DISTRIBUTION            - Distribution key
Please observe that these are simple function modules, not BAPIs, That means, they were developed to be used on the SAP internal programs and they are not supported by SAP when used in custom programs.

Iw32 service order - store business document disabled

in transacion IW32 I select the object service toolbar - create. I would to select store business document but it is not enable. How can I enable it? Which is the right ObjectType to set?

very pleased to have a reply from you. but i was looking for any standard SAP Object link to attach documents from DMS for IW31 OR IW32 Transaction ie.. create service order.
i could not find any unfortunately, what is the alternative that you followed to do this,
did you attached documents from the left hand icon Service for Objects Tab, from where also we can attach documents for any transactions.
Can you please tell me if any document is attached with the help of this Tab, is there any search option to find the files attached,
is there a link between this attachments and the SAP DMS or archive link.

How to attach documents to service order item

Hello all,
can anybody of you tell me how I can configure my system in such a way that I can attach a document in transaction IW32/IW31 to an operation of the order?
Currently I can attach a document to the service order sm01 with
System>Services for object>Create Attachement.
But then the document is not related to any operation of the order.

assigning it is easy -once you went through the setup process- there's a little icon in your service order (tabstrip 'operations') with a hammer and another tool in it - bottom right corner.
i'm sorry i know next to nothing about maintenance plans but are they not created using general task lists?. then we would be back to my suggestion from earlier to attach them there. but i'm pretty sure you will find all the documentation on help.sap.com. it'll be worth your time, just you try it.
i forgot a little piece of information in my last post: GOS is a tool that connects your backend (R/3 or whatever) to your frontend in some ways ... that's why you don't get it on item-level. if you are using production ressources it's a 'backend-only' feature. you see, you can use GOS to display the IDOC that created your service order but since an IDOC creates the complete order ... you have another viewpoint of hierachy with GOS ... and while we're at it: GOS is not available for users of type 'service'. check in SU01 for that setting. browse the SDN security forum - we discussed GOS more often lately.

How to get the Attachment ID for Service order in CRM

I have never used this function module before, but looking at the coding, I don't think this will serve your purpose.
I think it might be better to use method(s) from class CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS.
Via the GET_INFO method you can retrieve the documents you need and using the DELETE method should delete these object. I did use the GET_INFO method etc. but we haven't deleted any objects. But according to the name of the method, it should DELETE the documents.

IW32 - Service Order Form

Hi guys I have a problem trx iw32 use a form to print a service order however the description order has only 40 character field CAUFVD-TEXT in "description " you can put a longer text but when you try to pass this to form only you can see the 40 chr . What can i do , How can I show a longer test.

Maybe look at a standard print program such as RIPRJT00. The function READ_TEXT is used to read the long text for order header, operations, etc.

LSMW for open notifications,open sales order & open service order

Hi Gurus,
Can anyone please tell me how to go about writing LSMW's for open notifications,open sales order & open service order.
This is for service processing in CS ,where has the scenario is
Create Notification (IW51) --> create Sales Order(Multiple Line Items) ( VA02) --> Create Service Order ( IW32)
Service order is automatically (Item Proposal) generated w.r.t Sales Order (multiple line items)
How to I do the recording for transactions in such a scenario.

Surveys not getting downloaded with Service Orders in SM 4.0

Hi All,
I am working with Service Manager 4.0 and wanted to check the Surveys functionality.
we have created a Service Order in SAP backend and it is properly downloaded in the Client but the Surveys which are attached with the Service Order is not downloaded in the client.
Is there something which we are missing from the backend or Syclo side ? Please advise

Hi Jason,
The global "Confirmation.Surveys" is properly maintained in the configurations.
However I checked the server logs where I found one error for Survey Determination
Again this configuration is properly maintained in the sap config
But at the same time the class SurveyDetermination is not present in the SAPCRMSM4.0.0.0.jar file
I am not able to track the exact issue. The surveys are not downloading with the confirmations and hence the surveys screen is blank in the device.
Do you think this SurveyDetermination class is causing the issue ?

Hi,
Check the attachment view under service order in web ui, get the detail of bsp component view's.
In on_new_focus of the attachment view you can find how attachments are stored w.r.t service order ( by looking at the bol relation).
Once you know the bol relation, you can fire "service order" bol query and get the list of attachments via above relation.

CRM WEBic - not able to find letter created for a service order

Hi Friends
                   while creating a service order in web ic, trying to attach a letter using letters link from navigation areas of web ic, able to select a draft(word document) already provided and able to save the changes(document is saved from web ic and not from ms word) and also able to see the letter attached to my service order in business context area of service order, but when i close the session and re-logn, i am not able to see the letter created in previous session. If i attach a file from pc, it is saved to the service order.
         No enhancement is done on letter section of web is and its crm5.0
I will try to find any OSS note for this and update here once i find something.

     letter creation is working properly after system restarted(due to memory leak) but the problem is in Business context area, DATE and TIME fileds are 00:00:00:00.....,
any inputs highly apprecaited.
OSS not is notpplied so far.... and looking into this as well.

Restrict access to modify Service Orders operations within IW32

Hello experts,
We have a challenge due to our certifications programs. We allow certains users to create services orders and make the selection of the task list via IW31. They also have access to IW32 so that they can release the order later on.
I am looking for a way to block their capability to modify operations informations (wc, texts, prt,etc). So far I have explored few avenues but I am still not convinced.
Option 1:
-use a BADI (WORKORDER_UPDATE) and functions CO_BT* to track detail fields that were changed
-this involves a good development
Option 2:
-use BADI IWO1_ORDER_BADI method AUTHORITY_CHECK_AUART_ACTIVIT
-I couldn't find authorization object for my need...
Option 3:
-a check on changes docs being created or apparently there is a field VBKZ we could use to identify a object change...
Would you have faced the same requirement?

We have given a try to this badi and as per the documentation it works well to hide information. We will see if we can push other parameters than set invisible because we still want the information to remain visible.

Create a PDF document and attach it to a service order business transaction

I have following requirement. For a particular service order, i am reading the entire survey details and then my requirement is that i want to convert this details into a PDF document and then attach the document to the same service order.
Right now, i have created a SMARTFORM which prints the required details. I got the OTFDATA of the smartform and now my problem is to convert it into PDF and then attach it to the service order .

Service Order Maintenance (IW32 Transaction)

Hi,
I don't know whether it is possible. Please shed your expert thoughts.
In IW32 transaction, once we release the service order, we won't be able to amend the cost field in the header tab. But I have a requirement to update this field even after releasing the service order.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Cancel release the service order, reverse the status to CRTD(created) or whatever is and update the field. But Ram, I think I am telling you how to do it technically. But I am really not sure if it is feasible looking at the functionality.
When I say that I am not sure if it is feasible, I am rather not too sure if that is correct by functionality.

Error in attaching a Service Order from BSP

I am trying to attach a document to a CRM Service Order from BSP.
Im using the following FM
cl_crm_documents=>create_with_file
When I test the FM from SE37 transaction, I am able to attach a file from a local disk succesfully and the service order is getting updated. But If I call this FM from BSP, trying to do the same operation, document cannot attach to service order and Method returns the following error: Error loading file <NameFile> (Class of message CRM_DOCUMENTS and number 100).

In config, under Plant Maintenance & Customer Service -> Maintenance & Service Processing -> Maintenance & Service Orders -> Print Control -> Define Shop Papers you can assign you own Shop Paper number , Form Routine, Form name. The SAP standard is a Sapscript but I have used a Smartform. Note that you will have to give a shorter name for your Smartform to fit in the Form section in config.
