Store TV Recording on D Drive

Perhaps most of you already know this, but for those who don't...
Open Windows Media Center --> Tasks --> Settings --> TV --> Recorder --> Recorder Storage and adjust your storage location settings.
You can also adjust the recording quality so you have more hours of recording if need be.

  • Export data in CSV and store the file in local drive

    Hi,
    Here is the requirements.
    Fetch the values from table (around 60000 records), and export them into CSV file and store the file in local drive.
    I have written servlet to to this and it is working fine expect saving the file in local drive. At the moment, it is asking to save as in local drive. i want to save the file automatically in particular path (/var/www/files/). Below is the code.
    String file = "CandidatesDetails" + sd + ".csv";
                        queryString = "select * from candidate where candidate.status='A'";
                        connection = ConnectionPoolHelper.getConnection();
                        response.setContentType("application/csv");
                        response.setHeader("content-disposition", "filename=" + file);
                        System.out.println("Query= " + queryString);
                        ps = connection.prepareStatement(queryString,
                                  ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE,
                                  ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
                        rs = ps.executeQuery();
                        datas = "CANDIDATE ID,CANDIDATE TITLE,FIRST NAME,LAST NAME,E-MAIL,NATIONALITY ID,NATIONALITY,COUNTRY ID,COUNTRY NAME,INDUSTRY ID,INDUSTRY DESCRIPTION,EXPERIENCE,DATE OF BIRTH,HEAR ABOUT US\n";
                        oout.write(datas);
                        String country = "";
                        String nationality = "";
                        String hearABtUs = "";
                        while (rs.next()) {
                             nationality = rs.getString(7);
                             if (nationality == null)

              tryAt the moment, when i run http://localhost:8080/project/CandidatesDetail, it will ask me to save the file somewhere. I should manually mention the path to save the file. what i want is, it should automatically save it in the location C:\projects\files\.
    thanks.

  • Where to store my recorded videos

    I'm new to Mac and currently all of my recorded videos are stored in "Movies" (not to be confused with iMovie). I noticed there is a place in iPhoto called "iPhoto videos".  Where is the best place to store my recorded videos? Not sure if there is any benefit in moving them all to iPhoto videos.
    Thank you.
    Cassandra.

    GroovyDreamyFab,
    Even if video is in your iPhoto library, you can still import it into an iMovie event without deleting it from your iPhoto library. This is how you do that:
    1. Open iMovie.
    2. Choose File > Import > Movies...
    3. In the pop-up Import window, choose "Photos" from the Media section of the pane on the left-hand side.
    4. Up near the top, under iPhoto, click "Events".
    5. There should be thumbnails of all of your iPhoto events. Select one that has video from your iPhone that you would like to import into iMovie and double-click it.
    6. Hold down the command key and highlight all of the videos from the event that you would like to import.
    7. Choose the drive for importing, an event name, and make sure the "Copy files" bullet is selected.
    8. Click the "Import" button.
    So, it is perfectly OK for video to exist in both the iPhoto Videos section of iMovie and a separate event in iMovie. Technically, you don't HAVE to import your video into a separate iMovie event, but I find it way easier and faster to have the video sorted into events, rather than having to scroll through tons of videos in "iPhoto Videos".
    Hope this helps,
    O.C.

  • Toshiba StorE Art 2Tb External Hard Drive not recognized by HP Elite /Win7

    I have a new HP Elite Desktop running Windows 7 Home Edition:
    I bought some few months ago a Toshiba Store Art 2Tb Ext Hard drive, which until today worked well. Today I started the PC in the morning (with no update of Windows or other software) to find it would no longer recognize the Toshiba Hard drive. It still recognizes the WD drives, and the SimpleTech drives when they are plugged in. All External Drives are powered separately and do not rely on USB power.
    I tried the Store Art on other PC's and it works fine. I tried switching the cables, and the cable works on other drives, (and other cables will not make this Store Art work). I tried several USB 2 ports on the PC, with no luck *(but all ports work with the other drives).
    I tries COMPUTER, MANAGE, and checked Drvivers and Disks. There was no sign of the Disk available (no malfunctioning disk), it was just not there at all.
    I searched the web - tried a range of techniques (unplugging PC from power) and more. No luck.
    The PC Specifications are:
    Operating System
    MS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit SP1
    CPU
    Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93GHz 30 C
    Clarkdale 32nm Technology
    RAM
    3.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
    Motherboard
    MSI 2A9Ch (CPU 1) 38 C
    Graphics
    HP L1906 (1280x1024@60Hz)
    ATI Radeon HD 5450
    Hard Drives
    488GB Seagate ST3500418AS (SATA) 31 C
    Optical Drives
    WD Virtual CD 1110 USB Device
    hp DVD-RAM GH60L
    Audio
    Realtek High Definition Audio
    Works well with all other drives. and it worked with Toshiba till this morning.
    Any clues?
    thanks

    Well - this is incredible. After leaving the Ext Store Art Drive turned off all day ( but the PC was left on) | cam home ready to try the advice of Keaney (thanks for your advice) which was the same as the techies at work: Try to roll back to OS to last good restore point - eg a week ago. Just before I did anything like that - I just flipped it on to see if a miracle occurred. Guess what. It fired up, was recognised, and all is working.
    This is amazing - since my original posting: the PC has not been restarted, not been turned off, not been updated with new OS updates, has not had anything except normal web usage. Similarly the Store Art Ext HDD has been left off for the day, and just turned on tonight - not change plugs or cables or USB or anything. No cables have been touched or plugs jiggled. It just works.
    Its like there is a gremlin there - teasing me, testing me, causing me havoc - and laughing all the way. I have no idea how this happened - but will monitor to see if it happens again.
    thanks for the suggestions to resolve - for now I will do nothing.

    I had tried COMMAND+ALT+R which led me to directly to INTERNET RECOVERY via wifi. After 1 hour or so it dropped me at the same point.
    I've tried MIGRANT ASSISTANCE as well, it kept on LOOKING FOR OTHER COMPUTERS even though I clicked on TIME MACHINE BACK UP USING EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE
    so what to do now?
    P.S. Guys at MacStore were so careless to even listen to me when I asked them about retrieving back up :(

    how do i get a recovery disk or download for os 10.5.8?  my system was installed by an apple store when replacing my hard drive.  i did not get a backup disk.  macbook is a 1.1 from mid 2006 and 10.5.8 is as far as i can go..  use this as a utility backup when my new macbook pro with mt lion screws something up---which seems like a daily event. do i have to install a lesser version of leopard then install the update.  does software update even work anymore for leopard?  im so in the dark and when i look at the console i just freak.

    Hello, your best bet would be to clone your drive to an external drive, which will be bootable.
    Get carbon copy cloner to make an exact copy of your old HD to the New one...
    http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html
    Or SuperDuper...

    You're not likely to see any updates show up for 10.5.x
    The very first MacBook 1,1s can actually run 10.6, which is updatable to 10.6.8, but will only run in 32 bit mode on yours.

  • I can't Access my 1TB STORE.E ALU 2 External Drive

    my name is Martin, I purchased a 1TB STORE.E ALU 2 External Drive frm a dealer in Ghana but can not access the drive though it can be detected alright and thought it requests to be formated but when you try to format it cannot format, pls kindly help me to get this drive to work sincce I can't return it back to where it was purchased, thanks.
    I need urgent help !!!
    my e-Mail: [email protected]

    Hi,
    I have just come across the same problem w?th the 320GB STORE ALU External Drive, that we bought 8 months ago, but just today came to use it to free up space on laptop.
    Followed Quick Start Guide- Start was ok w?th E icon appearing, and transferred folders showing on new HDD.
    But shut down to cool off in hot weather.
    Now go back and reattach and the request pops up to Format!
    Cannot format as data on it. Tried on other netbook - same request to format.!
    But I transferred data to free up Laptop so as to be able to backup off new HDD!
    In FAQ- it categorically states that Formating is not required as done in Factory. So what is happening here??
    More to the point- can I recover my data?
    ( did not register etc)
    Thanks

  • Is USB 2 fast enough to record to hard drive over?

    Hi folks. Atthe moment I'm recording to ext HD via FireWire 800, but down the line I may well want to get a FireWire audio interface, would recording to the drive work ok over USB? Or has anyone got experience of using FireWire busses? Advice/recommended options appreciated :) ta!

    While the USB 2 transfer rate may seem faster than Firewire 400, it is a "BURST RATE" meaning after a few seconds it drops substantially while Firewire starts high and stays high meaning that Firewire is faster at "SUSTAINED RATES" such as streaming audio to drives. Test it your self by copying a 1 GB file to a USB 2 drive and then to a Firewire Drive while timing the transfer... Firewire will smoke it everytime
    http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/schwebs-lounge/54422-usb-2-vs-firewire-400-agai n.html
    http://www.barefeats.com/usb2.html
    From GlyphTech:
    "Even though USB 2.0 Hi-Speed has a theoretical max raw data rate slightly higher than FireWire (480 mbps vs. 400 mbps), the typical sustained transfer rates are about the same, because FireWire is a more efficient protocol to use in audio and video environments. In fact, in most cases, FireWire beats USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, albeit by a small margin. Very often it will be the computer or hard drive mechanism which limits the system performance more than the interface, so you might see about the same performance using FireWire-A or USB 2.0. "
    According to NEC (Dec 2004):
    "Specified speed of USB 2.0 is 480 mbps (in other words, around 60 Million Bytes per second, or 57.2 MB/s), but 57.2 MB/s is NOT the actual data rate.
    This is because USB 2.0 packet is inclusive of overhead data.
    [Note that conversion from megabits to MegaBytes requires (x*1,000,000/8)/1,048,576.]
    Moreover, idle time are added between packets.
    Besides, data rate is also dependent on the system architecture, the PCI bus and the attached USB devices.
    Therefore, actual data transfer rate [of USB 2.0 High-speed] will be lower than 480 mbps (57.2 MB/s).
    Our measurement result of data transfer rate with USB 2.0 storage device (HDD) is about 20 - 25 MB/s on average."

    I am new to mac.  Do I need to store photos on the hard drive to use iPhoto or can I store pics on a network drive and still edit with iPhoto?

    iPhoto needs to have the Library sitting on disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Users with the Library sitting on disks otherwise formatted regularly report issues including, but not limited to, importing, exporting, saving edits and sharing the photos.
    See this article
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5168
    for more. Note also the comment:
    “Additionally, storing the iPhoto library on a network rather than locally on your computer can also lead to poor performance or data loss.”

  • Stores that sell iPod hard drives?

    Well, my iPod is now officially broken, and I need a new hard drive for it. Are there any actual stores that sell hard drives for an iPod of this kind, or do I definitely have to obtain one online?

    Don't know of any brick and mortar stores that offer such a drive. You might try Googling.

  • I'd like to store files on my c:drive

    I'd like to store files on my c:drive. These files that I'd
    like to store are accessed by me via internet shortcut files,
    showing as links, on the internet. When I open the
    link/internet-shortcut-file, what I think I am looking at is a
    'feed', of some sort, sent to me by a server somewhere. Hence, if
    someday the server and/or link is made unavailable to me, then I
    will not have access to the view the adobe file anymore. What I'm
    hoping to discover is a method of saving the viewable adobe file to
    my local c-drive.

    When he says 'adobe file' I'm thinking he might mean a PDF
    that launches
    Acrobat Reader. Many computer noobs I know call PDFs 'Adobe
    files.' :-)
    nobody: on my machine you can simply go to File>Save to
    save a PDF to disk. If
    you're opening a PDF in a browser window, a toolbar may pop
    up above the
    content with a little disk icon, printer icon, etc. The disk
    icon will save the
    PDF to disk for you.

  • Creative Smart Recorder with new driver

    'Creative Smart Recorder with new driver< I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2v purchased and installed in Oct, 2005. I use the Smart Recorder a lot and all was fine until two weeks ago when I downloaded and installed new driver software from Creative. All of the rest of the software works fine (no change or improvement in the operation in the card, which is why I went for the new driver), but?now when I try to start the ?Smart Recorder I get a Windows message "Creative Smart Recofder has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."? It asks if I want to Send Error Report. As far as I can tell Smart Recorder never opened. Other than putting my computer back into the what it was two weeks ago is there anything that I can do? I'm not sure that the previous driver, etc. is still there. Thank you.

    + Need to add something. I thought that if a program loaded I was okay. But, no. The media studio will load but is no longer connected, I mean nothing will record, not from the internet or the CD player. No connection. Whatever Creative gave me, it is not friendly with older versions of the software.

  • I would like to know how I might find the OSX 10.9 Install file that the app store put on my hard drive.  Any help is greatly appreciated in advance.

    The app store download is so slow at my house that I don't want to do it more than once and I don't see the file anywhere, even looked for hidden files.  But Directory structure is dense and I surely haven't looked everywhere yet.
    I would like to archive it on media that is physically independent of my mac.
    Any help is greatly appreciated in advance.

    You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program.
