Strange output from my java file

Hi all,
I made a post not long too long ago about some issues i was having. However since then i have not been able to come online or continue much with my work. I've just starting working on it again and after fixing the errors and implementing a little more code i had an unexpected output.
Compiles fine, no errors Just a warning about not checking my vectors etc. But when i run the class file it does not display the grid like i thought it would.
My code is below, but first is what i get when i run the class file after compiling.

When you want to print an array then you can't just do
System.out.println(someArray);This implicitly calls .toString() on the array which produces the result that you saw (= something that isn't very useful).
You could write
System.out.println(Arrays.deepToString(someArray));(after inporting java.util.Arrays).

  • View Object to read data from a java file

    Hi,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and ADF-BC in my application.
    For one of my view objects , I want the data to be read from a java file which exposes some method to return a collection.
    I cannot use a static view object in this case.
    Please suggest the best way to implement this requirement.Basically build a view object that should read data from a java file.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Depending on your use case you can either use a programmatic VO or directly expose the JV class as a data control.

  • Error message by periodic weekly: No output from the 1 file processed

    Hi there,
    since four weeks, I got a problem with the maintenance script periodic weekly. Up to December 22nd, the script did, what it should do: rebuilding the database of locate and whatis, rotating log-files. Since one week later, I got the error message: No output from the 1 file processed.
    Normally, I use Anacron to do the job. When I noticed the problem, I tried to start the script with Tinker Tool System getting the same result. Another try using the Terminal (sudo periodic weekly) also failed. The commands locate and whatis are working, locate.updatedb and makewhatis also. I'm running 10.4.8; in the past, I did not have such problems. Anyone with an idea or solution?
    Thanks

    It seems, Rogers idea, PsynX respectively the deficient uninstalling by me is responsible for my problems, is correct. Should I remove the whole file weekly.local or should I only remove the content? I prefer removing the whole file, because it was created while installing PsyncX. The date of creation is the same as the date of installing the app (December 25).

  • How to read messages in message pool from a java file

    Hi All,
    I want to read a message that is defined in a message pool of a webdynpro component.
    This reading should be done from a java file present in the "src" folder.
    How can I get the handle to the IWDComponent?
    Or is there any other way?
    Or is there any way of reading localized messages in a java file of a webdynpro component?
    Can you kindly guide me out of this issue?
    Thanks and regards
    RB

    Hello,
    my approach is more simple: how can I read within component A the message pool of another webdynpro component B ? Component A has a usage relation to component B .
    I tried this within component A:
    <b>this.wdThis.wdGetBInterface().wdGetAPI().getComponent().getTextAccessor().getText("ANY_TEXT");</b>
    I got the exeption:
    <b>java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Embedded Components are black boxes. You should not access parts which are not in their interface</b>.
    Is there any way to share message pools ?
    Thanks

  • Strange Output From CS3 to Fiery printers

    When we output from Indesign CS3 we get a couple of strange issues to our fiery and one new issue just started with our Harlequin RIP.
    When printing a multi page document to the Fiery's (5 Different ones) sometimes page 1 will be oriented correctly and all of the other pages will be rotated on the sheet and cut off. Also when I go to make changes through command workstation to change duplex settings, image shift etc. It's a crapshoot if it will work on Indesign files. This has been happening with all iterations of Leopard.
    When printing to the Harlequin using a preset envelope template the file is oriented wrong. It doesn't matter if we put the sizes in manually or how we set the orientation in the print window it's wrong. This has been happening for a few weeks.
    Curretly we are on 10.5.5

    Sorry I wasn't clear. The rips are the print servers. They are hooked to a variety of printers Xerox, Konica, Canon and Presstek. The problem is when I send the file and preview it at the RIP. The problems are also there when I output the files from the Rip to the printers.
    The Fiery Problem is ocuring on several different Fiery RIPS each connected to it's own printer. We only have on Harlequin RIP and Device so I'm not sure how widespread it is. The problems do not exist if I send PDF's or other native files such as quark.

  • Why do I get multiple class files from 1 java file?

    I wrote a dialog box using gridBagConstraints and another program RunPanel to run it as a java application. For the first time since playing with java, I get multiple class files from a single java file.
    This seems very strange to me and wonder if anyone else has come across this and what could possibly be the reason for it. I did a clean (in Eclipse) just to make sure it wasn't garbage and sure enough they come back again.
    I have ReconPanel.java from which I get ReconPanel.class with the addition of ReconPanel$N.class where N goes from 1 to 5.
    The same thing in RunPanel but here there is only 1 extra file, RunPanel$1.class.
    I'll include the code for RunPanel since it is relatively small:
    package ilan;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    public class RunPanel extends JFrame {
         private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
         private ReconPanel m_reconPanel = null;
         public RunPanel() {
              super();
              initialize();
          * This method initializes this
         private void initialize() {
            this.setTitle("tester");
            this.setSize(new java.awt.Dimension(138,396));
            this.addWindowListener(new java.awt.event.WindowAdapter() {
                 public void windowClosing(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e) {
                      m_reconPanel.exitPanel();
                      System.exit(0);
              m_reconPanel = new ReconPanel();
              this.getContentPane().add(m_reconPanel);
          * @param args
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              JFrame frame1 = new RunPanel();
              frame1.setVisible(true);
    }  //  @jve:decl-index=0:visual-constraint="10,10"The only thing "unusual" I do is to put a listener on the WindowClosing so that I can go back to ReconPanel and write results to the registry.
    Can anyone tell me what is going on?
    Thanks,
    Ilan

    He IIan,
    Yes, you get number of extra class files based on your number of anomyous class es used. Like in your RunPanel, you get only 1 ..$1.class file, b'coz u have used only 1 annomyous class & i.e WindowAdapter. Take a look at this code :-
    this.addWindowListener(new java.awt.event.WindowAdapter() {
                 public void windowClosing(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e) {
                      m_reconPanel.exitPanel();
                      System.exit(0);
            });Similarly, in your ReconPanel, you must have used such kind of classes 5 times, & hence u get such 5 extra classes. To avoiod such extra classes, if you can directly implement that interface or extend the class, if possible will be best. For example, for each button, u write
    button1.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
    // Code
    });Instead, of this, its better to implement ActionListener & write
    button1.addActionListener(this);
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae) {
       if (ae.getSource() == button1) {
       // CODE
       }Likethis, you can get rid of such numerous extra class files. In IDE, if you ask to add actionEvent, it will do the first method. To get rid of it, don't add event in the properties, instead, apply the second method. The same thing applies for anyother event. The first option is worthful, if by implementing, u got to write 5 functions from which u r gonna use just 1 method.
    Hope this clears your question.

  • How to run java source files from other java files??

    hello all,
    i need to run 3 to 4 .java files (first.java,second.java,third.java) from one file.
    i tried the
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd); but here cmd must be an exe file.
    NOTE THAT i need to run the first.java file ,second.java file each time to generate their .class files(ie I NEED TO COMPILE THEM ALL TIMES AND THEN RUN THEM)
    PLZ. help me if this can be done,
    warm regards,
    Vishal.

    One way to do this is to put all your commands into a batch file (this is Windows?) try unix shell otherwise. Anyway here's an example .bat file called cmplrun.bat:
    @echo off
    javac -classpath . TestCase*.java
    java -cp . TestCase01
    java -cp . TestCase02
    java -cp . TestCase03Then the Java pgm can look like this:
    import java.io.*;
    public class RunProcess {
      public static void main(String[] arg) {
        try {
          Process myProcess;
          myProcess = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c cmplrun");
          String s = null;
          DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream(
                               new BufferedInputStream(
                                   myProcess.getInputStream()));
          while ((s = in.readLine()) != null) {
            System.out.println(s);
          System.exit(0);
        catch (IOException e) {
          System.out.println("Exception: "+ e);
          System.exit(-1);

  • How to create windows executable file from a java file. Please help.

    Hi,
    For my project I developed the codes in Java. It is working well with java run time environment. But without that I can not run it. I need to create a exe file (windows executable file) from the java source code. If you have any idea please share it with me.
    Even if you know it very lightly, please help with what you know. That would be a big help for me.
    Thank you very much.

    Does anybody know how to read a manual?

    This data is Bytecode of a Java class. Read about Java Bytecode structure in Java Documentation at SUN Site.

  • Calling a method from another Java file.

    I think I'm doing this right, but I'm obviously going wrong somewhere.
    In order to not have one big long java file, I've created one main one to execute the program, and another to do some of the functions. I'm using eclipse, btw.
    In the main file, I have
    currentTB = getActiveTB(playerArea);If it works, it should get send the player area variable to the getActiveTB method, and store the value it returns in the currentTB variable, right?
    In the other file, I have;
    package scenes;
    public class sceneIndex {
         private TerrainBlock getActiveTB(String areaCode) {
              TerrainBlock tBlock = new TerrainBlock();
                     **DOES STUFF**
              return tBlock;
    }I have it set up so the second file is in the source folder "resources" and the package "scenes." The problem is I'm not calling it properly. I'm missing something simple, I think. The only error I'm getting is;
    The method getActiveTB(String) is undefined...
    Where am I screwing up?
    EDIT: Yeah, I'm a rookie here trying to figure it out on my own. My computer science courses, so far, conveniently all consist of just one big java file. Easier to write, sure, but not very efficient/organized.

    Yeah, so this is still pissing me off. I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried this a million different ways, in both eclipse and netbeans. Whatever. Here's the code, I'd love it if someone could point out the boneheaded mistake I'm making. I'm getting a little frustrated at being stuck on such a simple problem.
