Strange Problem: cannot save public report as a developer

HI all,
I've testing an application in apex.oracle.com.
Several days ago I started to have a strange problem with my application. I don't know what has been changed but I can't save the Interactive reports as a developer. The app doesn't display the button "apply" to save the changes, and in the design view of the report the "Save public report authorization" select list is greyed.
Is there anyone that knows where is this permission managed?

To choose an authorization scheme under "Save Public Report Authorization", you first must check the "Save Public Report" checkbox under "Include in Actions Menu".
Note that both the "Save Report" as well as the "Save Public Report" option work for authenitcated pages only.

I am working with apex 4.0 and in the screen "Interactive Report Attributes" I cannot disable "Save Public Report".
And when i disable all functions (Select Columns, Flashback...) The only function avalaible is "Interactive Report Attributes".

can you upload your application to apex.oracle.com so that we can have a look what is not working. Please provide your workspace/user/pwd and the page and region where you are not able to remove the "Save Public Reports" option.

Cannot save status report in cProjects

Hi,
I cannot save project status report in cProjects. When I click the save button, it just shows the timer showing saving icon but never comes out of it.
Could anyone please help and guide me where the problem lies?

There may be mainly two reasons
1) As neil say check your ADS Installation
2) Check the IMG setting as follow
Collaboration Project --> Basic Settings --> Form for printing and project Status Report
in that use Activate forms per Project type .
Select your project and click on right hand side PDF print form
you will find the list of status report , check there status report print form is active or not.
if you standard
then DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF Is activated or not.
3) Collaboration Project --> Basic Settings --> Form for printing and project Status Report
in that check the BADI
DPR_STATUSREPORT_PDF AND
DPR_STATUSREPORT_AIF
Is ACTIVATE OR NOT
if you create your own status report form you need to create BADI .

BPC 7.0 Server Installation Problem - Cannot connect to reporting services

I am upgrading from 5.1 to 7.0 version for SAP BPC. Everything went smooth on the development server (single instance installation including SQL Server 2005 developers edition 32bit, web, reporting and application services on the same server). I tried to repeat the same process on the test server, and the installation went off the rails. I started with clean installations of SQL Server 2005 on both servers.
When I try to install the BPC server software, I get to the point of access to the report server, and everything stops. I get the following message: Cannot connect to reporting services. I have verified the reporting server name, and I have verified that the server name is correct in the installation panel. I have also verified that the reporting server is configured, started, and that there are no errors.
Any advice?

Thanks for the tip, but this was not the case. The problem was solved by re-loading the OS. Using Windows Server 2003 gave an issue during the re-installation of the SQL Server database. The problem was in the installation itself. After a clean install of both the OS and SQL Server, then SAP BPC 7 worked. The installation does require a number of tweaks, particularly, in my case, the entire Management console must be configured, even if not being used.
This problem is now solved.

Strange error: cannot save jpg

I have a very strange problem with a jpg image. it's an RGB thumbnail of 135 pixels x 117 pixels.
I open an existing jpg.
I paste something in the image and flatten it...
then I try to save it under a new name but it will not save and give the following error: Could not save (pathname) because of a program error.
now the strange thing is: if I do an image size to 134 x 116 pixels. (or 136 x 118) the image saves fine!
If I then resize it back to 135 x 117 pixels...it won't save anymore and the error is back.
if I don't flatten the image.. i can also save it as a jpg. If I flatten the image and try to save: the error is back.
I can save other images as jpg without any problems.
any idea what may cause this?
(I use Photoshop CC on windows 8.1)

I've run into the same issue here...not all the time, but when it happens, it's easily replicable as soon as I paste as a new layer then flatten. Of course, today, I can't get it to misbehave.
The only workaround I figured out was to copy the whole flattened image and create a new document, which I was then able to save.
The only thing I can think of is that my Mac is bound to an Active Directory, so it's logged in as a "mobile" account. I know this caused permissions problems in previous versions.

Cannot save Crystal report layout or view new layout of report

I am trying to make a change to a system crystal report (cust. recievables detailed aging). I had to make the date feild a little wider, so I edited the "system layout" that came with SAP (in my test DB of course), and I go to add-ins>sap business one>save. I get the following error "current user has no permissions for this operation". I am logged in as a superuser and full perm.
If I "save-as" and save it to a layout in sap....when I go to open the aging with my newly created layout it freezes and asks for DB logon info to connect to my server from crystal. I do not normally have to do this when I preview my reports in the out of the box layouts. WHat am I doing wrong? I am new to crystal.

HOwever I can open it in crystal, then save it to my desktop, then from INSIDE of SAP in the report and layout manager I import the crystal report I made the changes to from my desktop into SAP and it saves and imports no problems. However when I go to view the report (and this is only the ones I import), it prompts me with the db login for our server to connect, and it is only with that report, once I enter sa credentials it is fine and shows up from there on in, but not if I log out of SAP and back in...then I have to put in my credentials again. Is this something having to do with the report when I make changes to it? I cant have users entering login info each time they run the new aging details report. Please advise what I may be doing wrong when I make changes to a crystal report. It was a very minor change....just moved a feild width.

Cannot save Crystal Report to BO Enterprise

I am running Crystal Reports XI R2 and Business Objects XI R2. I opened a report from the enterprise in Crystal Reports to modify it. After making changes, I tried to save the modified report back to the Enterprise. I received the following message:
"Failed to read data from report file {path of temporary location of .rpt file}. Reason: Unable to launch C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\plugins\desktop\CrystalEnterprise.Report\ReportAdd program to add report to the system."
I have verified that the reportadd.exe file is in the specified location.
A co-worker that uses the same computer set-up as I do is able to save to the repository. We have compared our configurations and have not found anything different in our software versions, etc. as far as BO and CR are concerned. The only thing that is different between our PC's is that I have Crystal Reports 8 installed also. This has not been a problem in the past, though, and I did not use CR 8 to modify the report; I used CR XI R2.
Can anyone tell me what condition triggers this error? If I knew that, maybe I would have a better idea of where to look for differences in our systems and, therefore, successfully resolve this issue.

ITunes 9 Problems (Cannot Save Library, Cannot Download Apps...)

Today I Just installed iTunes 9 for Windows, and now i am having numerous problems.
First off - when I try to download apps from the app store, i usually get this problem: there was a problem downloading "App Name." An unknown error has occured (-1303).

hey well, i spent a while trying to figure this out while i had free time and i think i may have figured a few problems out.
1. What you need to do is download the itunes 9 software.
2. run it as administrator
3. use the repair/reinstall option
4. then do not run it. restart,
5. then while u click on the itunes 9 shortcut, HOLD DOWN SHIFT!
6.then choose your itunes library, then let it load. DONT TOUCH THE COMPUTER FOR ABOUT 5-10 WHILE IT LOADS, EVEN IF THERE ARE ERRORS OR IT LOOKS COMPLETELY DONE.

Sync Problem - Cannot save the backup to the PC

How can I fix this issue, even I have tried to create a new PC User Profile or use another PC.

A strange problem of using jbuilder6&weblogic6.1 to develop EJB

I just use jbuilder create an blank EJB, without add anything,then I begin to compile��when it excute "run ejbc on west.jar",there are some errors:

You have probably some space in your TEMP,TMP or CLASSPATH environments variable. ejbc don't like these spaces at all, so you have to move your libraries and code in order to remove these spaces.

Submitting a form with enter key causing strange problems

I am having a very strange problem with a webapp I am currently developing. I am using JSF 1.2 along with Facelets and RichFaces. I have coded a workflow/wizard 4-step process, and on some pages I have 4 submit buttons that all call different actions on the page. The users thought it would be useful to have the enter key submit the form, so I followed some online resources to trap a keypress using javascript, looking for the enter keycode and calling document.getElementById("elementName").click(). This works fine most of the time. Sometimes, though, it seems as if an entire new session is being created, and odd behavior starts happening. For example, my page will only include 2 of the 4 facelets on the screen -or- I will get NullPointerExceptions for objects that I know have been created in the session bean I am currently using -or- I will get a duplicate form Id after trying to re-submit the page. Could the javascript click simulation not be submitting all of the form elements or is the enter key also acting like its default action (the form submission) in addition to the "click"? I'm really at my wit's end here (plus it's nearly 3 AM, that never helps things). All of the buttons being clicked are standard h:commandButtons. There is some setTimeout logic included to disable the buttons on the page to prevent double clicks (I cannot disable them onsubmit because disabled buttons don't pass the right values, perhaps that's causing it, but if so, clicking the buttons with the mouse would cause that issue too, right?)
I am not posting the code (yet), but if anyone wants to take a look see and see if I am doing something really abhorrently wrong, I'm more than willing to, I'm just curious if anyone has had problems regarding javascript submission of forms via the click() method. Clicking the button does not exhibit this type of behavior. Just as a side note: I am doing different things with the enter key depending if a modal window is open (the enter key closes the modal if it's up, and if not, it submits the form via a button click).
Any help is much appreciated, if anyone has any inkling about where I should start looking for answers it would be really helpful.

You need to suppress the event handling after programmatically clicking the button.

Strange problem in AFW custom module (question for gurus)

Hi there SDN'ers,
I have I very strange problem with an additional Adapter Module I developed.
My scenario is: IDOC -> JDBC (Oracle)
Well, to make a long story short, say that before the JDBC Receiver cc can write my data to the db, I have to do (inside the channel) kinda java mapping in order to produce an XML document that is acceptable for it. So in my module I manipulate the payload via DOM. No problem here.
The strange story is: at first attempt, the Adapter fails (see error below), while after 5 minutes, when automatically trying again, it succeeds.
Just because I put some stuff in the message audit log, what I can tell you is this weird thing:
1. at first, no XML document exists in the payload, but in place of it there's this string:
org.apache.crimson.tree.XmlDocument@745501c6
which seems to be a toString() of something I don't (or don't know to) use directly
2. at the second attempt, even in the audit log I can actually see the weel-formed XML document ready for the JDBC adapter, and in fact data are written to the db.
?? WHAT COULD THIS BE CAUSED BY ??
Say also that the the other way around (JDBC->IDOC) with another very similar module works perfectly.

Ok guys, I got that workin'.
I don't know why - and don't think I'll have the time to investigate further - but it seems the implementation of DOM Document used by XI is different the first time AFW executes my module, so here my workaround.

Cannot open a report I just saved via Save a Dynamic Template

Hi All,
I am on BPC 5.1 SP9, working in Office 2007.
The problem is happen sporadically, where I save a report using Save a Dynamic Template. Then try to open up the report I just saved, and the report does not open. Sometimes if I resave the report via Save Dynamic Templates, I can reopen up the report. If that does not work, I go back into Save Dynamic Template, and save it to a new name, and see if I can get the report to open.
The strange thing is I can save the report to my desktop, then go into BPC. Every time I open the report from my desktop it always runs.
Not sure if anyone has seen this before?

Does your template have an Excel 2007 4 digit extension?
There is a known issue with BPC 5.1 sp7 or higher service pack and Excel 2007 format extensions (SAP Note 1347243)
Files with Excel 2007 Extension such as XLSX and XLTX, (saved and opened repeatedly via eTool -> Save / Open Dynamic Templates menu) may have issues where the template will not open.
The problem does not exist with BPC 70M sp3 or higher.
The note also has a possible workaround; suggesting renaming the template on the File Share Server and then opening the re-named template via Open Dynamic Templates menu.

Users cannot save a Power View report to thier One Drive Site

I have users that have only access to a sub site where public BI reports are kept.   They want to open a public report, modify it and then save it on their personal sharepoint site.   The problem is when I open a power view report then
edit it then do a save as it does not have the "Sites" option in the list to click on so they can then click on the Social site and save it to their site. Instead it only has the Subsite. Example power users can see this
Sites
   http://companyportal
    BusinessIntelligenceCenter (site)
       SalesBI (site)
          Reports (folder)
             Public folder (folder)
The users in question only see Sales BI and down. With power users we save reports to our personal sharepoint by clicking on sites and then selecting as example
http://companysocial/personal/ken_craig site. then drilling down to where to save it. I the save as dialog box it does not allow typing in it and does not allow you to select sites.
How to get Sites in the list so they can save reports and other docs to their personal sharepoint site.

I am sure it is permissions but that is my questions how do I give the correct permissions so they can do this. Again I do not want these users to be able to save anything on the subsite. I want them to be able to save things on their own personal
site (onedrive).
I have added a screen shot 1 of the Save AS window I receive and others who are power users. The "Sites" is the top menu item I have in this window. When I click on sites (power users) I can see things like

The power users have "Visitors" permissions on the Business INtelligence Center site. They then have Members permissions on the subsite like Client Relations BI or Sales BI depending on the group they are in.
My goal is to give power user the ability to make reports on their BI sub Site (Sales BI as example) and then Read ability on the top level site Business Intelligence Center.   The second group of people and majority will have Visitor or read only
permissions on their group sub site only (Sales BI as example). They will not be able to see the top level site Business INtelligence Center.
IN all cases I want them to be able to save reports (their own customer versions) to their own sites (One drive). This way we do not clutter production sites with individual reports.

Problem with Xperia Z1 Camera and cannot save to SD card

I bought kitkat version of Xperia Z1. There are two issues of cameras.
1: Cannot save images to SD card. Saving fails 100 percent.
2: Front camera issues
2-1 Front camera freezes with black screen.
2-2 After test (Dial *#*#7378423#*#*), The result says Camera does not connect to device.
Some users are experiencing the same problems.
Although I reported these issues, Sony has not replied yet.
Probably, after Android updating to Kitkat, those problems appear.
