Strange viewing behaviour on score page view on Logic 7.2.0 on MacBookPro

I recorded some sequences in Logic 7.2.0 on my MacBookPro and, seeing them in page view mode, I get a strange viewing behaviour: the staffs continue going straight on overshooting the "white delimited page zone". If I try to zoom out I can't obtain the "more pages view" option normally obtained.
If I reopen this song on the logic 7.2.0 situated in my G5 all is fine. Why?

Guys, I think this problem has to do with the scale parameter of the instrument set being translated incorrectly on Intel/MPB (quite possibly affecting even the "ALL" instrument set, which has no adjustable parameters). Now, I don't have an Intel Mac or MBP, but based on my recent experiences in PPC and similar problems, plus what I've read here, I think I might be on to something...
I'm going to suggest that you guys who are having problems with staves going off the page to do the following test:
1) Open one of your problematic songs and view the score editor where the off-the-page staves are displayed
2) If you're using the "ALL" instrument set, read on. If not, go to #3 below.
ALL Instrument Set: if you're using this just to see a preliminary version of your score, close the score window, select ALL, and open the score editor. This forces the creation of a new instrument set. Do these staves go off the page? If not, you're good to go. But if they do go off the page...
a) go to your printer settings and make sure that you have valid settings there. This includes the printer type, page size, and scaling. If they're set to default values (like "most recent printer"), be sure to select an actual printer on your system.
b) open the Instrument Set parameters for the set that was created just before. Set the scale parameter to 200%, then make it 50%, then make it 100%. If my theory is correct, your music should now stay on the page.
3) If you're using a custom instrument set repeat steps a) and b) above. See if that clears up the problem.
I'd be curious to know if any of the above fixes the problem for you. Again, it's just a theory, but maybe it has legs...

Problem with Digital Editions page view

I used Digital Editions on two books just recently and was able to fit each page of the ebook to it's full height from top to bottom.
I just downloaded my third book to DE, and I can't seem to find the button to fit each page to their full heights (top/bottom). Instead, it's stuck on dual-page view. The single-page view button option isn't even there on the third book, but IS there on the first two books. I downloaded a fourth book and it's experiencing the same problem; stuck in dual-page view with no single-page option.
If I try to re-size the DE window to force it into a single page view, the page numbers are all messed up appearing at random spots of each page rather than at the top right where they are suppose to be.
I re-installed DE but the problem still persists. Is this a problem with the books in specific? Or something else?

Creating a .pdf with different page views

I'm tyring to create a .pdf with different page views. For example as the viewer goes through the .pdf some pages I would like viewed as "single page view" and others "two page view". Is this possible? I'm working with Adobe Acrobate Pro. Thanks for any suggestions.

It's possible to use the Page Open actions to trigger a view mode change but it's messy - if the user tries to override them because they prefer to zoom in, etc. then they'll get very annoyed when things keep resetting.
To create a Page Open action, open the thumbnails panel, right-click on a page, choose Page Properties, then the Actions tab. You can use the Execute a Menu Item tool to fire one of the view modes.

Page View Reports - Think Time

Hi ,
On the built-in application reports for Page Views, there is a column called Think Time. What does this column signify and what is the unit of measure for this column?

Think time is the lag from the last page view. So if page view 1 was at point in time 1 and page view 2 was at point in time 2, think time is the time 2 - time 1.

Page views: negative think time

Hello. I have been looking at the Recent Page Views report in Application Express 3.2.1.00.11 and can see negative values in the think time column. Is this a mistake or do these mean something ? Thanks.

Score, staff not snapping to page view

When I open the score in Logic 8 the and click page view the staff runs off the page in to the gray area.
This was also a problem I had in Logic 7.

How can I do in order to have the same staff distance in panorama view as in page view?
When I go to panorama view the staffs are too far apart....if I change the distance then In Page view they are on top of each other.

Here's the key: you have to set up your page settings before you do any formatting of your score. In other words, the score display you see on your monitor is based on the page attributes (paper size, orientation, etc.). So you can't format the score in portrait mode and then expect it to appear correctly just by changing to landscape mode. So save your song under a new name, change the page attributes, and then re-format your score.

After Exchange 2010 SP3 upgrade, UAG publised OWA is throwing a "You do not have permissions to view this folder or page" error

We have an issue with our OWA page. We are currently publishing OWA via UAG.
We recently upgraded to Exchange 2010 SP3 and then SP3 Rollup7. Since the upgrade, we are keep getting the following error after entering our credentials on the login page. I've tried with every possible browser.
You do not have permissions to view this folder or page
Strangely enough, the mobile phones are sending and receiving emails just fine, the phones use the same OWA link, so it's not an authentication issue, the phones login into the UAG servers with no issues. I can see this on the Active Sessions screen
on Web Monitor.
I've attempted to connect to the OWA by bypassing the UAG server, so putting in the local OWA address of one of my Exchange servers, it works... so the OWA page is up and running.
No error logs get generated on Web Monitor when we receive the permission error, I think this is because it's past authentication, it's on the Exchange layer.
Any insight would be helpful? I'm assuming something changed on the Exchange side after the upgrade.
Just in case, I've upgraded the UAG and TMG servers to the latest SP and Rollup packets.
UAG > SP4
TMG > SP2 Rollup 5

I've found a solution; UAG requires Basic Authentication over OWA. For some reason Integrated Windows Authentication got turned on after the SP3 upgrade.

Turning Integrated Windows Authentication off via the Client Access OWA settings resolved the issue. Though beware, you
have do this on all your Client Access servers.

Webi Page View Not Displaying Page Size Correctly.

Hi Everone,
I have an issue with one report where the page size sttings do not translate when viewed in HTML Page View.
Figure one is the report as seen in the editor - as you can see the page is displayed correctly - A4 Portrait:
And, when the report is viewed in PDF mode - again, no issues:
But when viewed in HTML page view - it blows out the width of the page:
Now this report, as far as I can tell, is set up no differently than 6 others that are designed to be printed as PDF, all of which do not display this behaviour.
We design them to be printed as PDF but present them to the user in HTML Page view in order to allow injected JavaScript’s in the report to be run. This does not happen when you jump directly into PDF mode.
I have checked in design view and I don't have any wayward report elements pushing out the width and the PDF renders correctly which would not happen if there were hidden elements causing issues, it would render a bunch of blank pages.
So, I am at a loss. The page view is correct in edit mode and in PDV view mode but not in HTML page view. Has anyone else had this issue? I can’t work out why this happens only in one report when all the others work properly.

It's the only element that isn't in sync with the other elements on page, when compared to home.html for example.

Page Viewer to have links open a different page

I have a custom HTML page i have created that has links to site pages. I have a page viewer web part on my home page that points to this custom HTML page. I want it so when you click on a link on this html page, it doesn't just take you to the page
within the page viewer, but have the whole page navigate there.
I do not want the link to open a new tab or new window, just navigate from the home page to the page.
Any ideas?
I had it in a content editor before and it worked fine, but for some reason it changed all the hyperlink text to red, even though there is not one line in my css file to have any red text anywhere. Strange.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to redirect a new page directly outside the page view without tag or new window.
It could be achieved setting target attribute to _parent for <a> tag.

Why can't I get one track to open in page view?

Hi all, I am having trouble in the score getting only one track to display in the score editor. I select the track,which has 47 bars with one extra region [bar 34-triplets] that must remain as a separate region because the triplets won't work when joined to the regions in back or in front of bar 34.So I click hold shift and select the 3 regions or just select the track[which selects all regions on that track]
But I get a complete score instead of just the one track I want. So far no amount of fiddling with the controls[page view, hierarchy button, chain linked button] will give me the one track alone in page view. Has any one had this happen? Would some one like to help? Have any of you seen this behavior before?

I don't know what I did to solve this, but I think it's solved by making a "duplicate of each track, then the tracks are all independent , got that from the LUG too

Page view totally unusable on MacBookPro (Logic 7.2.3)

It's about 3/4 months now, that Logic Page view doesn't work on my MacBook Pro, and I don't understand why Apple programmers haven't solved this issue yet...
It works on my G5 not intel vers.
But I need it works also on my MacBookPro because I have to work on it when I am out of my seat.
The problem is that the staffs continue going straight on overshooting the "white delimited page zone", and it's impossible to work...
Please, somebody answer this trouble..

Doing a search is a mess as the default changes the page view-?

F/change in Indesign has a mode in my machine that jumps all the time to the founded work, not maintaining the page view.
It is a big problem as sometimes the words are out of sight (see screenshot); generally is a disorder.
If it is necessary to see the effect of some change in the whole page it is impossible as f/change focuses on the spot.
It is possible to alter this behaviour?

I tried it but continues the problem. Page is always jumping.
Your idea is to have two windows that sounds very clever.
But the f/change jumps in both (for the moment)
Steps you detailed:
Arrange > New window for <document name> tiles two windows with the same doc.
Set the view in window 1 to fit spread or fit page
Click in window 2 before running find/change.* If the window (1?, 2?) you are running find/change in is also zoomed to show the entire page the found text highlight travels through the page without changing the view.
If you zoom in on that window (1?, 2?), the view changes at the same zoom level to show the highlight. Window 2 does not change.
* If I click the other window the find/change by default will be executed on that clicked...

Double page view broken in acroread 8

If choosing the double page view (side by side view) in former versions of Acrobat Reader, it started the first page on the right side and showed two pages on subsequent pages. This corresponded to the typical case in books where the odd page is always on the right side.
In Acrobat Reader 8, this useful feature has been lost. Now, the odd page is on the left and the even page on the right. This does not correspond to my expectations. Is there a way to tell Acroread to open odd pages on the right side?
If not, please change the behaviour of acroread to the way it did until version 7.

Iphoto '11 - calendar "all pages" view is blank

iphoto 9.2.1
os x 10.7.2
First time using iphoto to create a calendar - my wife has made a few items in the past. I haven't had much trouble creating it. However, the "all pages" view does NOT display the page images. Also whenever iPhoto is in that view for very long the CPU utilization of iphoto cranks up to over 600%.
Inspite of the image above -- the calendar is done. The calendar preview is correct and when i double click on each "invisible" page, the page pops up as expected.
What is really strange is if you click on one of the "invisible" pages and try to drag it, iPhoto will render the page image.

First make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
If that doesn't fix it try the following:
launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
select the options identified in the screenshot.
