Streaming through Flash Player

Hi,
I need to troubleshoot this particular problem that is
occuring right now, there's a flash player and we are able to
stream the videos from the akamai server through the flash player
and it works perfectly, but this comes quite randomly, the player
would stop all of a sudden while playing and at the part where the
timing the player is at, it appears "NaN;NaN;NaN", unable to detect
the timing of the video, looks somehow like an error connection.
What do you think would help in this area?

trace out NetStatus to see what is thrown when the error
occurs.

HTTP Streaming for Flash Player 10.1

I have been developing a streaming video player application in Flash Builder 4, and have been really excited about the HTTP Streaming functionality now available in Flash Player 10.1.
Unfortunately, there seems to be an extreme dearth of materials on how to actually implement HTTP Streaming both server side and client side. Does anyone have a straightforward tutorial/example of how to implement HTTP Streaming from start to finish, or do any of the Adobe Developers plan on releasing documentation for this?
I've looked through the BETA Actionscript 3.0 API Documentation and noticed the new NetStream.appendBytes() and NetStream.appendBytesAction(), which I suspect are involved in HTTP streaming. I also saw a sketchy introduction from Ryan Shin on the Open Source Media Framework (OSMF) website (https://admin.na3.acrobat.com/_a204547676/p96986524?launcher=false&fcsContent=true&pbMode= normal), but it seems to be lacking in details regarding how to actual implement a "file packager" on the server or how to open an HTTP Stream on the client side.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Playing content through Flash Player becomes hazy after sometime

Hi,
Recently I have been experiencing issues playing content through my Flash Player. After playing video content on sites such as Youtube for just a couple of hourse the Flash Player is not able to render the content rightly.
I have tried clearing the cache in AppData but that doesnt work. Only rebooting the system works for a short while and even then after sometime the problem reoccurs.
I am using a 32 bit Win7 system and the latest Flash Player 11.2.202.228 . It occurs on both Chrome and IE at the same time.

Audio and video problem when streaming after flash player update

After i updated to the latest flash player (11.7) I have problems with video streaming. The video plays but after a while the audio stops and the video will keep playing but will also stop after a few seconds. Is the new flash player update at fault?

hello volden, your system details list two versions of the flash plugin (Shockwave Flash 11.7 r700 & Shockwave Flash 11.6 r602) as being installed in firefox, which can lead to problems.
please try to use the [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html flash uninstaller provided by adobe] to remove both versions and afterwards only install the current plugin from https://www.adobe.com/go/getflash

Streaming MPEG-4 Streams through Flash?

My company has live streams for CNN and NASA TV using VBrick.
The direct URL's can be accessed through our internal network via a
link similar to
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/vbs2d1.sdp
Is there any way I can have this stream through a Flash
interface I create using a Flash Media Server? I've streamed live
video via my webcam via Flash, but not sure if this kind of
connection to a live TV broadcast would be possible.

You can't do it directly (FMS and the flashplyer don't
support mp4), but you can make it happen with just a little bit of
sloppiness.
What you could do is receive the streams from Nasa and CNN on
a machine with a video output (we'll call this "machine A"), and
run your .swf (the one that connects to FMS) on another machine
("machine B") with a video input (like a capture card).
You would connect the video out/audio out of machine A to the
video in/audio in of machine B. Then it's just a matter of
selecting the video input as the camera for the .swf (using the
settings dialog).

Can't select files for uploading through Flash Player

I can only say that this seems to be related to Flash Player, but I'm not 100% sure exactly what the cause of the problem is.
On most sites that uses a Flash uploader it won't allow me to select files for uploading. When I get to the Select A File dialogue box
all files are greyed out. This happens in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I'm using the latest version of Mac OSX. I can't seem to find
any information about this anywhere on the web.

Make sure Java and Javascript are both turned on in Safari Preferences/Security.

H.264 streaming in flash player motion blur

Hi ,
We are using H.264 for live streaming in a flash window . The encoding works fine but when there is alot of fast movement on the stream there is a degradation in the quality of the video. When the fast movement stops the video restores itself but it is very noticable . Does anyone know how to resolve this issue and eliminate it all together.

Thanks. We were able to solve the issue by increasing the bandwidth. The next issue we are facing is that we want to connect multiple cams to the same machine and have fast switching with each cam back and forte. The issue is that there is a freeze on the current stream before switching to the new stream and from the broadcaster side it takes a bit before the cam switches . Getting the fast switching is our goal at this point.

Streaming Webcam through Flash

Hello, I have a client with a webcam streaming from an IP
address. However, they want to keep the IP address private, so
dipslaying the webcam feed through Flash Player might be a good
option. Can we create a .swf file that will pick up the IP address
webcam feed and play/rebroadcast it? We have Flash 8. Thank

I also have the same question... If the camera() object only
works with cameras attached to a computer running Flash, then is
there a way to make an IP camera look like an attached camera to
Flash?

Flash player to iPhone streaming

Hello
I was able to stream from FlashMediaEncoder to Ipad device (html5 video)
FME--->FMS---->IPAD : ok
Now I try to stream from flash player (flash11 with H264) to ipad but nothing happens.
Is it possible to stream from flashplayer (on PC, flash11) to IPAD ?
FlashPlayer11 (H264)--->FMS----->IPAD ?
Any link / clue for that ?

I am streaming H264 to FMS through flahs player.
It can be viewed with another flash player.
When I open it with <video> on ipad I can view... some seconds of an older video I was streaming with Flash Media Encoder.
Infact to summerize:
When I stream with FME (H264)->FMS->IPAD: OK
When I stream with FlashPlayer11 (H264)->FMS->IPAD: KO
I have put in the flash player the SAME parameters as in FME:

MAC / PC flash game issues through standalone flash player

I had some flash games built for new site. They were built on a PC, and play perfectly through the latest version of flash player, but jump and loop continuously through flash player on mac. Cannot figure out the reason why this is happening. Anyone come across this before?

into the plug ins folder of Internet Explorer 5
We are still having the same problem which is that we cannot
view a web page which contains a flash movie with some video
embedded.
We see the rest of the animation and hear the sound on the
movie, but can't see the movie.
When I published the Flash movie I set it to play with Flash
Player 6 and up.
The flash movie (on the web page) plays fine on our other OSX
Macs and PC's.

Sir, even after i have the add-on plugin ad-block plus, some ads could not be blocked which is played by adobe flash player. How to block any and every ad either through image or flash player etc.,

i am getting ads through flash player. there is no menu to either close the same and/or block the same. more flash player ads appear in each screen. please suggest more options other than adblock plus, which is not effective in blocking the flash player ads.

High cpu usage when using flash player

Hi,
Just updated to Mavericks and now I'm having very high cpu usage while watching streams using flash player. CPU usage is somewhere around 110% and after a moment the stream starts to lag and fps is slowing down. I also tried using Chrome but with no difference. Flash player is the newest version 11.9.900.117.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

i think its the best to hit the report a problem button in safari, since its appears since i updated safari to 5.1.4! maybe they make a additional update

MP4 H.264 video won't play in Flash Player

I am using a Mac Book, OS X 10.8.5; FireFox 32.0.1; Flash Player 16.0.0.305. I am trying to play video (MP4 H.264 format) that works on VLC, Quicktime Player & Real Player but won't play through Flash Player. Why?

I'll take a look at the GPL sources to see how the firmware encodes the video output, I think the mpeg encoder might be built into the firmware's Linux kernel (instead of a stand-alone encoder program), I see references to the IBM mpeg2 headers but I'm not sure. But honestly addressing this possible bug is not the first thing on my todo list, but I do fidn this report interesting enough to merit investigation.
May I ask what you are using for the Samba server (aka windows shares)? Do you use your desktop PC, or perhaps a NAS server?
As an interim thing to try, I advice you install VLC media player to view the files, or to use VLC to examine the media files properties to see what you can findout.
IF you must use Windows media player, then I suggest you look into the combine community codex package.
