Streams usage with Oracle Ebiz apps R12
Hi,
Any one has any experience using Streams technology with Oracle Ebiz apps? Can you please share your experiences? Is Streams certified to use with eBiz apps R12? Any limitations or known issues using Streams with eBiz apps?
Thanks,
Balaji

Integration with Oracle Fusion Apps SaaS
Hi,
I have the following integration requirement in my on-premise SOA/ADF application
1) Get Service Contract details from Oracle Fusion apps cloud instance ( Enterprise Contracts) given a contract number. The details include i) Name ii) Owner iii)Type iv) Business Unit v) Start Date vi) End Date viii) Party details etc..
2) Create/Get Invoice in Fusion apps cloud instance ( Oracle Financials Cloud ?) from my application.
3) Create an Order into the the Oracle Fusion apps Order management cloud from my application.
For the same, I started looking into the OER (https://fusionappsoer.oracle.com/) provided by oracle to find Assets/Services that help us integrate with the SaaS.
However, I could not find a right service for my above requirements. Here are my findings ( right or wrong) :
=======================================
a) For Order Creation ( requirement (2) above):
-> For Creating an Order, I see a service called Sales Order Service (oracle.apps.crmCommon.orders.salesOrdersService.SalesOrderService) but this service only CRUD's Sales Order Header where as I am looking for a service that needs.
-> I found another service ( Composite service) ,Get Orchestration Order Service (11.1.7.0.0), Operation: GetOrderDetails , that may get me order details but doesnt give me a way to create an order as I didn't find any operation for Create/Generate.
-> Another Asset =>File Based Data Import: Purchase Orders Import (11.1.9.0.0) that Imports purchase orders from external systems into Oracle Fusion Purchasing.
But not sure how to use it. The documentation is duanting here.
b) For Getting contract details
-> While looking for a service that would would cater my "get contract details" need, I could find only Contract Type , Contract Business unit services but no service ( ADF or composite) that would give me all the contract details.
c) For Invoice creation / get - I found these but not sure which one to pick.
-> Request Invoice Orchestration Task for Fusion Systems Service (11.1.8.0.0) Description:Provides the ability to communicate with the Oracle Fusion Invoicing application to perform create operations.Type: Composite Service. Process Provides the ability for Oracle Fusion Receivables to perform create operations.
-> Product Family: Financials
ADF Service: Receivables Invoice Service (11.1.9.0.0)
Operations: createSimpleInvoice, invoiceHeaderInformation,createInterfaceLine,processInterfaceLine
Service Path: https://<fin_server:PortNumber>/finArTrxnsInvoices/InvoiceService?WSDL
Abstract WSDL URL: rep://R9_FUSIONAPPS_HOSTEDREP/oracle/apps/financials/receivables/transactions/invoices/invoiceService/InvoiceService.wsdl
-> ADF Service: Receivables Invoice (11.1.9.0.0) Service Path: http://<fin_server:PortNumber>/finArTrxnsAutoInvoices/AutoInvoicesBCService?WSDL
Abstract WSDL URL: rep://R9_FUSIONAPPS_HOSTEDREP/oracle/apps/financials/receivables/transactions/autoInvoices/autoInvoicesService/v1/AutoInvoicesBCService.wsdl
======================================
Can someone help me here in helping me find a right service / way to fullfill my above requirements?
Thanks,
Sridhar.Hey Reo,
We need to do few configuration steps to integrate both products
you can refer to the metalink2 doc id : 552735.1
https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:3427836754632619337::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,552735.1,1,1,1,helvetica
Remember, if u integrate EBS & OBIEE, you cannot directly login to BI. Instead, you always need to navigate from EBS only..

Integrating ApEx with Oracle Financials (Apps)
I've seen a few questions on how to integrate Oracle Financials (Apps) with ApEx applications. Below are some methods that I use. The main issue with these approaches is that your Apex user will get a new session each time. I have an unsupported routine that will allow me to maintain the same session with each return to ApEx from Apps. Scott Spadafore has commented several times on how you might do that. I'm going to leave it to Scott's posts to explain it as I don't want to post unsupported workarounds.
1. Utilize Oracle SSO for both Apps and ApEx.
A. Set up both to use SSO
B. Put the following code in the Auth Scheme Session Verify Function to establish the users' Apps Context.This will allow a user to run Apps APIs as the correct Apps User.
declare
l_id number(20);
begin
begin
select user_id into l_id from fnd_user
where user_name = :APP_USER;
exception
when others then
l_id := -9999;
return FALSE;
end;
fnd_global.APPS_INITIALIZE(
user_id => l_id,
resp_id => 10,
resp_appl_id => 10,
security_group_id => 0,
server_id => -1);
return true;
end;
C. Now you can put a link with the Apps to point to an ApEx page, e.g. f?p=123:456::::456:P456_ID:876
2. Use your own authentication scheme--this will require the user to log in to the ApEx App with their Apps un/pw.
A. Create a custom Auth Scheme that utilizes page 101 as a login page (session not valid page = 101 )
B. Follow Step B in (1) above
C. On Page 101 put in the following validation (note, this will not log the login -- you can use a different api if you want to log it)
begin
if fnd_web_sec.validate_login(:P101_USERNAME
, :P101_PASSWORD) = 'Y' then
return true;
else
return false;
end if;
end;
D. Put the following process in place
if not HTMLDB_CUSTOM_AUTH.SESSION_ID_EXISTS THEN
HTMLDB_CUSTOM_AUTH.SET_SESSION_ID_TO_NEXT_VALUE;
end if;
declare
l_flow_page varchar2(10000);
l_next_session varchar2(10000);
begin
l_flow_page := substr(replace(:FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL,'|',':'),5, length(:FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL));
l_next_session := HTMLDB_CUSTOM_AUTH.GET_NEXT_SESSION_ID;
l_flow_page := substr(l_flow_page,1,8) || l_next_session || substr(l_flow_page,9,length(l_flow_page));
HTMLDB_UTIL.RESET_AUTHORIZATIONS;
htmldb_custom_auth.post_login(
P_UNAME => :P101_USERNAME,
-- P_PASSWORD => :P101_PASSWORD,
-- P_SESSION_ID => :FLOW_SESSION,
P_SESSION_ID => l_next_session,
-- P_SESSION_ID => :APP_SESSION, -- ain
-- P_FLOW_PAGE => :APP_ID||':10'
-- P_APP_PAGE => l_flow_page ||':',
P_APP_PAGE => '&APP_ID.:10',
p_preserve_case => FALSE
end;

Memory Usage with new Tab Apps and Panoramas
I actually don't have a problem, just a question. I love the new tab apps and panorama features in FF4, but I am wondering how the CPU usage compares with e earlier versions of FF. (I never checked and I'm not going to :)) Are there any recommendations on how tab apps and panoramas should be used? My assumption is that the "dormant" panos will use less cycles than if they were all open on the desktop, is this true?
CS3 is still 32-bit so the user address space is 3.5GB. However, the OS can still use additional memory for cache to help performance, which comes into play when working with larger files. You need to download and install the enable VMBuffer plug-in, otherwise VMBuffering is disabled.

Does iSetup up work with Oracle General Ledger R12
Hello All,
Please forgive my ignorance if I'm asking a dumb question. I have been tasked with loading metadata into Oracle GL R12. I was told to research iSetup. It seems as though it works with E-Business Suite. I don't believe that is the same as GL, is it? If anyone knows how to load metadata to Oracle GL that would be great too, but I'll look for the GL R12 forum to ask that questions.
Sorry for the lame question.
-ScottHi,
It works, of course, and that is the whole purpose of iSetup. You have to assign 'iSetup' responsibility to the EBS user and you can start using the iSetup. For more information, you can refer the user guide located here.

Request Help With Oracle BI Apps 7.9.x development license
Request some one from Oracle to PLEASE help with the following query or help me to move the post to right forum.
I have downloaded BI Apps 7.9 to load it on top of BI EE. These are received from Development Downloads under OTN site (not eDelivery). Both these are planned as development install on one machine with sufficient specs on Windows 32 bit platform.
BI EE is loaded and starts successfully. Then switched of the services and started to load BI Apps CD1. Done it successfully. Next while starting to install Informatica PowerCenter 7.1.4 it asks product license key. Please help to know where to get this key? Also please help with any connectivity and options key, as well as those for any other products, related to this objective.
Many thanks,Hi RAJC,
Many thanks for the suggestion. I have moved past that aspect now with this help. Have also verified that everything is working well with BI server, presentation services, scheduler server etc. Admin tool works fine.
But have difficulty connecting DAC client to the database. The login window does not bring up option to select suitable driver for connecting to Oracle Database 10.2.0.x Also, wonder what table owner name and pw will work here? are they the same as those for schema owner? that is sh.rpd etc? The BI apps version is 7.9 and BIEE is 10.1.3.3
Thanks -
Integrating MS BizTalk Server with Oracle Financial
Hi..
I'm looking for solution to enable Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 integrates with Oracle Fin apps. I'm not familiar with Oracle Finance, please advise the most common scenario applied. I knew Compaq IOrchestration can do this integration, but if possible, I'd like to prevent the use of other 3rd parties product.
Thanks

Hello,
We have implemented Oracle B2B Integration along with BPEL Process Manager and XML Gateway that works with Oracle Ebiz Suite 11 5 9. We use the above, to process inbound PO (EDI 850) and Sales Order Acknowledgement (EDI 855). We are working on implementing Advanced Shipment Notice (EDI 856) to send ASN to our customers as soon as the product is ship confirmed in Oracle EBiz Suite. Through an Oracle SR, we understand that we need to use DSNO and eCommerce Gateway to accomplish the ASN.
We have setup the eCommerce Gateway and Ebiz Suite, such that DSNOs are getting generated. Now, what is the best approach to take in order to use this file and send it to the customer as Outbound ASN (EDI 856) transaction ? It looks like taking the output DSNO file thru BPEL and B2B is complicated (since XML Gateway cannot be used based on our current version).
Thanks in advance.
- DevHi
I need help in processing PO inbound. Can you please email me ([email protected]) your BPEL project and any xsds that you had used? If you did finish the ASN, I would like that as well. I know it is too much to ask but any information you could provide would immensely help me.
Thanks

How to install the Oracle Apps R12 with an existing OAS 10g
Hi All,
I am planning to install the Oracle Apps R12 and I already downloaded the media-pack from edelivery.oracle.com.
But I am not sure how to do it because I have tree-tier architecteur at home :
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Database 11gR2 -- Database tier
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Application Server 10g ver 10.2.0 (infra and middle) -- Midel-tier
One computer with XP OS -- Client tier
Could any one explain me how to install it?
Regards,But I am not sure how to do it because I have tree-tier architecteur at home :

One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Application Server 10g ver 10.2.0 (infra and middle) -- Midel-tier
One computer with XP OS -- Client tier The above is two tier architecture (not three tier) as the client tier is not considered as a tier in Oracle Apps installation.
Could any one explain me how to install it?Do you already have a Database and Oracle AS10g installed? Please elaborate more.
Oracle Apps R12 comes with 11gR1 database, and to do multi-node installation please refer to these threads.

Install Oracle 11G, RAC with VMWare, APPS R12, and OBIEE on one server?
Dear Experts,
I'm looking to upgrade my skills, and want to learn more of:
Oracle 11G, RAC, VMWare, APPS R12, and OBIEE
My server has two quad cores (8 CPU altogether) and 16 gigs of RAM.
Years ago, I took a shots at installing RAC on multiple servers and firewire.
One thing I remember was that after I installed RAC, I was not able to use the database unless I enabled all the RAC processes on the server. So, I was not able to just boot the database and use it in the traditional single server manner.
Which I will also want to do.
1) Does this symptom/aspect/characteristic of RAC install still exist?
2) Is it realistic to install all this software on one server?
If so, what is the order of operations for the install?
3) If I have to prioritize, I'd like to install
Oracle 11G, OBIEE, and APPS R12,
Would installing R12 and OBIEE on the same server present any conflicts or issues?
If not, what is the order of operations for the install?
11G, R12, then OBIEE?
Thanks a lot!Hi,
1) Does this symptom/aspect/characteristic of RAC install still exist?No.
2) Is it realistic to install all this software on one server?
If so, what is the order of operations for the install?For learning/traning/demonstration purpose you can Install all these software on same machine.
3) If I have to prioritize, I'd like to install
Oracle 11G, OBIEE, and APPS R12,
Would installing R12 and OBIEE on the same server present any conflicts or issues?
If not, what is the order of operations for the install?
11G, R12, then OBIEE?There will not be any conflicts. I would suggest you to select vmware or virtual box in order to configure all these sw's.
I have done such a configuration on my laptop with i7 Quad processor, 16GB RAM and 640 GB HDD.
I have Installed 2 node RAC, 2 Node ERP and all are running smoothly without any issues.

HSHi OrAC
I want to know can we upgrade database to 11.2.0.2 from version 11.2.0.1 in apps 11i env?Yes
In technote *Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle 11g Release 2 [ID 881505.1]* its mentioned:
This note is the master document describing the use of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.x), where x denotes the patch set level (currently 1).*
From this i understand in future if oracle release any patchset on the base release 11.2.0.1, then by default its certified. Correct
Regard
Helios
