Structures used by /dev/ksyms?

Hi,
Anybody know which structure/s are being used by the kernel to retrieve information (symbol name, address...etc) from the /dev/ksyms? And which header file are the structure/s stored in?

Org.structure differs on dev and production

Hi,
I'm developing a workflow and in one of the steps (activity step), I assign agent using organizational structure (position from HR). The problem is, that the org.structure differs on dev system and on production system. Mainly the IDs of position posts differ. How to solve this? Thanks in advance.

I don't see why you need a custom table?
The org issues aside, all that is needed is to assign your org unit to the task. Then leave the agent assignment blank in your WF. Job done.
The other option is to create a dummy rule, which you thought was to be avoided. I don't agree, it takes 5 minutes, less effort than a table, less non-standard stuff ==> less explaining to people how to maintain & easier to troubleshoot.

Replication would be carried out via transports. The RHMOVE* reports can also be used, or you could even set up an ALE connection between DEV and PRD. However I still would not recommend it. The development system is where you would need to create test users and/or org units. The other alternative is to have a master data client. All of these are a great deal of work which only make sense in certain types of environments - certainly not for the sake of a workflow.

How do i create a tree structure using oracle forms,i have a table named Functions and a specific column 'Function Name' should be displayed in the tree nodes.Can anyone help me out on how to create a tree structure and populating the nodes??

How do i get data from a structure using join?

what is the actual use of a structure.?
my problem is :
KUAGV is an existing STRUCTURE. it has got one fields each which links to MARA, AND VBKD tables. i want to fetch all related information from KUAGV, mara, vbkd . which is the better way : using joins or views or anything else? how do i
get data from a structure using join?

structure temporarily holds any data passed to it dynamically throughout the runtime but doesnot store it permanently. so
a structure cannot be included in a join.so instead of incuding structure KUAGV's field in a join
search the transparent table in which same field are present and use it in join.
A structure if created in DDIC(Data Dictionary) is a global DATA STRUCTURE which is used to group related information, for example you would group all the details of your bank account into a structure BANK_ACCOUNT that contains fields like account_Id, account_holder_name etc.
If you create a structure in your program then it is local to your program. So you use this structure to create data holders of this DATA TYPE to hold data in your program.

Handling Multi hierarchial Structure using XSLT or Java Mapping in XI

Hello Experts,
I have an requirement wherein i have sender as IDOC and File as Receiver.My target File structure is multi hierarchial with parent level and many child sub level node.
I tried to generate flat structure using graphical mapping by creating an intermediate structure and then mapping it to flat structure but that seems to be very complex for my scenario as there are many sub level at target structure..
Is there any simple way of handlng these????

I tried to implement your solution ..I am able to convert my idoc to XMLusing XLST but i have a question that how to convert that XMP to flat file as XI Receiver File adapter understand only 1st level of hierarchy..It doesnt understand nested level of hierarchy which is in my case...

How to read a file with data in Hierarchical Structure using XSD Schema

We have requirement in which we have to read a FIXED LENGTH file with FILE ADAPTER. File contains the data in hierarchical structure. Hierarchy in the file is identified by the first 3 characters of every line which could be any of these : 000,001,002,003 and 004. Rest files are followed after these. So structure is like:
000 -- Header of File. Will come only once in file. Length of this line is 43 characters
-- 001 -- Sub Header. Child for 000. Can repeat in file. Length of this line is 51 characters
--- 002 -- Detail record. Child for 001. Can repeat multiple times in given 001. Length of this line is 43 characters 1353
-- 003 -- Sub Footer record at same level of 001. Will always come once with 001 record. Child for 000. Length of this line is 48 characters
004 -- Footer of file.At same level of 000. Will come only once in file. Length of this line is 48 characters
Requirement is to create an XSD which should validate this Hierarchical Structure also i.e data should come in this hierarchy only else raise an error while parsing the file.
Now while configuring the FILE ADAPTER to read this file we are using Native Schema UI to create the XSD to parse this structure using an example data file. But we are not able to create a valid XSD for this file which should validate the Hierarchy also on the file.
Pls provide any pointers or solution for this.

I have no real details, but based on your question I am guessing Thunderbird does not check the drive letter only the path. so H:\Stuff and G:\Stuff would be the same thing. Try a change to the actual folder names.

Actually our client requirement is creation of tree structure using list item,similar to what we used in oracle Application(FNDSCSGN) form.We did the tree structure using hierarchy tree using Htree and Ftree.It working excelently.For client requirement, we want to use list item.How PJC(Pluggable Java Components) is useful for using list item(Tlist).I can't understand how it is useful.

How to Connect Oracle Database 10g with using Oracle Dev 10g

The message is: TNS... bla..bla... it means not connect.

just simple
copy the from the database instance the tnsnames.ora
file's entried into developer folders tnsnames.ora
file and you can connect to DBFirst of all there is no such error as TNS... bla..bla... it means not connect.
there are several errors for the tnsnames, post the exact error
And it is not recommended that you copy it from the database's tnsnames file, it doesn't always work.
to configure the tnsnames.ora you have 2 ways, manual and GUI.
For GUI use the Net configuration assistance from your Devsuite home and for manual you need edit the tnsnames.ora file usually under %ORACLE_HOME%/NETWORK/ADMIN
You need to specify the connection string name, the hostname and the database SID name. It should look something like this.

    (ADDRESS_LIST =
      (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = host name)(PORT = 1521))

Event Handling for tree structure using "CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE"

I have created a tree structure using class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE.
Now I wanted to insert a check and give message when the user opens the last node in my structure.
I checked the events available in the class , but there in none which gets trigered when we try to open a node.
Please guide me with this scenario.

The solution is somewhat odd but apparently works. As sample report please check BCALV_TREE_SIMPLE_DEMO.
Copy this report and make the following changes:

As soon as you open a node in the ALV tree the report will stop at the break-point.
Now you need to check if there are still children nodes to be displayed.
If not then trigger your special coding.

There is a structure used in HAP_DOCUMENT BSP 'HAP_T_BODY_COLUMNS'. The field of this structure are getting loaded dynamically. One of the field is 'AVAILABILITY'
In my scenario the 'AVAILABILITY' field is 'X' i want to change this to blank how do i do it. Kindly help.

loop at HAP_T_BODY_COLUMNS into ls_hap_body_columns.
endloop.
clear ls_hap_body_columns-AVAILABILITY.
then move this <b>ls_hap_body_columns</b> structure, as per your needs.

Hi,
Using predefined fileds in a structure should not be a problem. The only think you should consider is if there is a possibility that the component owner to which this structure belongs may change this structure. So if you are sure that there will be no such risk, then go ahead.
Domains cannot be directly used within a program/FM/BAPI. Domains can only be associated with Data elements that can be used in BAPI. It is always safe to use DATA ELEMENTS as generally changes to them are avoided as they have huge dependencies.
