Stuck in the very start

Hi.
I'm new to ActionScript and tried to solve this problem by
using google and so on, but all answers i got are like "check if
server running" and "check if application folder exists" and "check
your firewall settings". Tried all this, nothing works.
The description of the problem is as follows:
I'm trying to start with MediaServer making a simple
tutorial, like tutorial_hello, which is supposed to send a message
to Media Server and echo it back.
I create a flash file with an input field, push button and
text field for echo messages. See the attached code - I've just
copypasted it from the tutorial.
The problem is that i got "Level: error Code:
NetConnection.Connect.Failed" every time I try to connect. No
matter how I try to connect, either rtmp:/tutorial_hello or
rtmp://127.0.0.1/tutorial_hello/, or
rtmp://localhost/tutorial_hello/room_01/, or
rtmp://192.168.0.4/tutorial_hello, you name it. I do have the
application directory in my Flash Media Server applications/
directory and i have main.asc file there containing server-side
code (see attach), but I guess this code is not the point.
The most confusing part of that is that I do see the
connections to server in the administration console, like
Connects Disconnects
12 12
and those numbers increase every time I try to connect and
get a connection error.
Firewall settings are ok too - i've even turned off the
firewall to test it.
Please help me debug this issue as I just can't move on to
the more complex stuff from this very start. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone trying to help, i've found the problem. It
appeared to be a http sniffer software installed on the server.
Server installation instructions say
"Software designed to make network connections mimic modems
or DSL lines in order to save bandwidth, such as NetLimiter, can
intercept system calls and break Flash Media Server socket actions.
The error message "Failed to Attach Completion Port, the parameter
is incorrect" appears. Before installing Flash Media Server, remove
this type of software."
Uninstalling sniffers solved the problem.

Hi, Friends,
I have more than one thousand custom program and I have a requirement to add 4 to 5 lines of comment in the very start of every program, means if code of the program is starting from the 1st line than this line must go to number 5 if I enter the 4 line comments. Because of large number of program it is very difficult to open every program and than add comments line and save it to request I want to save all these program to one request.
I have searched but not found such requirement from any one before.
Is it possible through any FM or if some one have sample Code Please Guide me.

its ok for now but my Requirement was to insert the lines and also save to the Given request as a active copy with the inserted lines.

Tried to restore ipod and it gets stuck at the very end

please help! i plugged in my ipod to recovery mode to get all the apps off and it gets stuck at the very end of the restore. ive tried it more than five times now please help!!

did you check your security software settings? http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125 iTunes needs to connect to the Apple server during the restore process.

My iPod Touch (2nd Gen) is stuck on the Apple start up screen. I have restored it three times so far, but every time it turns off the problem returns. Since restoring yesterday, the battery life has been dramatically shortened as well. I have no idea what to do, as my iPod is out of warranty and this problem started for no reason what so ever. I also have no local access to Apple support. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried this. Though it brings temporary success, in the fact that the iPod functions until it is turned off again. Then the problem seems to return. I thought it might be a problem with the backup file, but I have since restored it completely (to have nothing but the basics on) and the problem is still there.
Thank you for the responses so far though. Hopefully, they can help others with a similar problem.

I believe mine is also 4.2.1. I made an error when selecting the OS at the bottom of my posts and have no idea how I change it.
*EDIT* - I have now managed to change my iOS, not that it makes much difference. I've heard people have been having trouble with iOS 4 on the 2nd Gen iPod Touch?

TS2570 My 2010 MacBook pro gets stuck at the apple start up screen

I think I've tried almost everything possible and my computer gets stuck at the apple start up screen with the loading bar under every time I shut the computer down and restart it. I've tried all the resetting, trying to do the apple hardware test (which never worked), and so many other things that I can't even remember everything that I've tried. Could someone out there possibly help me?

Yes. I turn it on like I normally would. I hear the chime and everything. It looks like it wants to start up and it acts like its loading. Then it just gets stuck when the loading bar gets to right about the middle.

hi,
as venugopal suggested, check whether the event was triggered and then check whether the WF has actually started or not. you can check this using transaction SWEL or SWI1.
if the event was triggered but WF hasnt started then you might not have activated the event linkage. this can be done in the "basic data" of the WF in the "start events" tab.
Since you have mentioned that "The workflow is started and its stuck at the first step", probably the WF has started.
can you specify the error message that you are getting?
what is the fisrt step in your WF?
give some details.

Occasionly stuck at the gray start up screen...

About two weeks ago my G5 got stuck at the gray screen and the fans started up, full blast. I attempted to reboot, but still the same issue. I unplugged the machine for about 24 hours and luckily it turned on as it should upon my next attempt, however the issue has reoccured twice since that day. After powering the machine on, I can tell when the CPU is not going to boot up because once the gray screen is shown, the loading icon beneath the Apple logo will not be displayed. I have also noticed that when I am able to get around this issue that my Mac has been "acting strange" such as Safari having unexpected shut downs more often than ever before. Any suggestions?

You sound as if you are having thermal problems - go to User>Applications>Utilities>Console and look in your system log for any temperature related items. You may either have bad caps or your power supply unit it failing.
You can try to reset the SMU
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
4. Release the power button.
5. Attach the computers power cable.
6. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Let us know if that helps. Also, make sure your vents are free of dust and empty Safari's cache.

IDVD 7.2.1 is turning my 16:9 DV .mov videos into the 4:3 format. I believe all the settings are correct. I am stuck at the very last step. Anyone heard of this? Thanks

I don't have the need to make many DVDs. I was doing this for someone who's grandfather, a D-Day veteran was featured in one of the videos for the website of the newspaper where I work. It turns out that the DVD looks right on the widescreen TV, but not on my monitors. I could not find an answer to something that apparently was not a problem in the first place. I learned a lot from the various discussions and will be reading more of them, more often in the future.

TS1398 I cannot start to use my new ipad mini as it is stuck at the very first step after restoring my old backup. It says to choose a wifi, I do and then it says 'Unable to connect' There is no options for a password and I cannot access any other screen!

I have tried going past the first set up stage, still with no wifi. I have then tried restoring the ipad mini, still no wifi available. Both my ipone and Apple Mac have wifi full bars. Please help. I only picked up my new ipad today. I am thinking it may be faulty.

It may be faulty but you should try to activate it first in order to be sure.
Why don't you activate it using iTunes on the Mac and then troubleshoot the WiFi connection. Connect the Mini to the Mac with the cable and iTunes should startup and take you through activation. If you do not autosync and iTunes des not start up on it's own, then launch it yourself.

Why is my macair stuck on the gray start up screen?

I try to start my computer but it just sits there on the gray screen with the apple symbol and the spinning wheel. I don't have the external cd drive so is there anyway I can fix this?

Assuming you are running 10.7.x boot the mac holding "Command + R" and restore your drive.

Time Machine not backup up anything, from the very start

I have recently purchased a 1 TB external drive for use as a backup drive. I plugged it in, reformatted it as HFS+ and set up Time Machine to use it as a backup drive.
Time Machine has supposedly been running for almost a week now, but all of the backups are emtpy - they are simply backups of "Macintosh HD" as an empty folder. Clicking "Backup now" results in a half second backup, which is supposedly successful, but which is empty.
I've turned TM off, ejected the disk, deleted the Time Machine .plist and restarted the Mac Pro and then the process of setting up Time Machine, and yet the initial backup lasts mere moments and turns out to be empty.
I've verified the startup disk and the drive being used as a backup in Disk Utility. The disk is 1 TB, empty, verified, and working. Time Machine is for some reason not. Help?

About the only other things I can think of are (loooong shots, of course):
Try the Terminal command in the yellow box of #11 [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
If there's any extra space on your internal HD, make a very small partition on it temporarily, copy a handful of test files to it, and see if they get backed-up. If they do, then change some things and run a second backup. See #3 in [Formatting, Partitioning, Verifying, and Repairing Disks|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/DU.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Using Snow Leopard+ forum) if by chance you don't know how to do that.
Something may be corrupted/damaged in your installation of OSX. I'd suggest downloading and installing the "combo" update. That's the cleverly-named combination of all the updates to Leopard since it was first released, so installing it should fix anything that's gone wrong since then, such as with one of the normal "point" updates. Info and download available at: http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate Be sure to do a +Repair Permissions+ via Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder) afterwards

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.
