Student Discount won't work (USA)

I tried to sign up for the student discount, and it doens't work. I first enter in my student information and get confirmed as a student. I then enter in my payment information, as prompted, it gets processed, but then an unspecified error occurrs and I can't get through. I've tried multiple times to no avail. I then sent you an email laying all this out. The response, which I got just a few minutes ago, did not address my problem at all. In fact, it was a generic email and demonstrated plainly that my email had not been read at all. Pretty ridiculous. For your reference, you can find my original email and perhaps the ridiculous response I received at the following reference number: ref:_00DD0pxIW._500D0u2qSM:ref Hopefully you can be more helpful than your other support features, because I won't be paying twice what I should be paying due to an inability to get help from you guys.

    Well, there is nothing anyone here can do for you. Did you actually purchase it at an Apple Store, or at another retailer like BestBuy, HH Gregg, a mall kiosk, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc?
    The ONLY source for unlocked iPhones in the US is Apple. If you purchased it anywhere other than at an Apple Store, you purchased a locked phone.
    You can call AppleCare and give them the serial number of the phone to confirm the status of the lock.

  • Trying to get Spotify student discount, but it won't let me pay.

    I've been trying to get the student discount for premium. I've already validated that I am a student at a university. But every time I put in my payment information, it gives me the error:  Oops, seems your card or payment provider is having a bad day. Don't worry, no money has been charged. Try again or use another payment method. I know that my card is working because I've been using it to purchase other things online. It's just not working with Spotify.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

    I was given a free month and asked to try again after that. My free month expired today and I attempted to sign up with my NUS student discount expecting it to fail but it didn't!!! 1) I visited https://www.spotify.com/uk/student/2) I selected get premium with NUS Extra3) I entered my credit card details - and it accepetd them (this was a probelm with multiple cards last month even though they were fine)4) I entered my NUS number and date of birth5) it worked!!!!! Hooray!

    I tried downloading my Student membership of Adobe Creative Cloud while I was studying in France last month (I am a U.S. citizen.) When I tried entering my redemption code, there was an error message that says this:
    This card was purchased in a country that does not match your Adobe ID. You can try signing in with a different Adobe ID or get in touch with us if you need help.
    So I stopped trying, and assumed it would work once I got back to America. But the same thing is happening! Which makes sense, but it's not like I can go and change my Adobe ID to say that I live in France.... And I can't just magically change the country that I purchased it in... So it won't work at all. Is there some way I can change my Adobe ID to make this work?

    Yes, I "purchased" it over there (I got it free from my school, but I went through the process of what a normal purchase would be while in France.) I do have another email account, but because I'm getting it through my school, it only works with my school email address. I could try to make another Adobe ID with the same email (if that's even possible) and put that I am currently in France, but I am afraid that I wouldn't be authorized to use it in the U.S.

  • Apple TV bought in Canada won't work in USA.  Why?

    I bought an Apple TV and used it for 6 months in Canada.  When I moved to Phoenix, Az and turned it on the Apple TV won't stream Movies or TV Shows (also, netflix won't work).  What can I do in settings to fix this?

    Settings>General>iTunes Store> Location, not sure for netflix.  It should still work though for stuff you already own.  Worth a quick look as a first check.

  • Downgraded to free subscription to change to a student discount - not working

    I followed the procedure to get a student discount premium account by first canceling my premium subscription, and then trying to use the student website to enroll for the discount. Whenever I click on the student website, it says that I am not eligible, but I haven't put any information in. It just automatically defaults me to not being eligible. Any suggestions?

    I'm assuming you are eligible, which would mean you are a student in either the US, UK, or Germany, correct? IF yes, then the most likely culprit is that your location settings are set to somewhere that's not one of those three countries. Premium users manage their location through their payment methods (make sure those are set to the right country), and free users through their profile (check there as well). If everything is set to the right country, make sure you're trying to enroll on the right website (US website for US student, etc.). If you're still having issues at that point please let me know.   • Questions about Student Discounts for CS6

    I know for a fact I want to get the CS6 Production Premium from B&H, but only recently did I realize that my media production class could potentially make me eligible for a student discount. I have a few questions regarding getting a student discount as I have never gotten one before.
    My first question is: will I ever have to pay the rest of the full price? Or more importantly, will the student version stop working after a period of time?
    My second and most important question is about installing on more than 1 PC. I'm currently on my beast of a laptop. The iMac at my school with CS6 runs smooth as butter, and it's lower spec than my laptop. Despite this, I plan on getting a monster desktop PC in the future for my productions, and I'm confused about my rights of installation with a student copy. I fully understand that I cannot install it on another persion's computer; only on my own computer. It mentions (for teacher's I assume) that you need to purchase additional licenses for installing on other computers. Does this mean that when I buy a new computer, I need to buy a new license as well? Or can I just use the one that came in the box?
    Any clarification on these questions would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Your license doesn't expire and you never have to pay the price difference.You can only install the suite on one type of computer, even if you have 2 activations. A PC serial won't work on Mac and vice versa. Only 2 PC installs will work or 2 Mac ones, respectively. Activations can be managed from within the apps or by giving customer support a call to reset them, if you used them up and forgot to deactivate.

  • Acrobat X XI Windows 7 just won't work

    I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this question, there doesn't seem to be much of an altenrative.
    I attempted to use a trial of acrobat x pro some months back but was not able to get the product to work no matter what I tried (installing reinstalling etc etc ad nauseum)
    Acrobat 9 works fine without any issues.
    Acrobat X will not work
    Today I've tried xi pro - I thought great, maybe it has been fixed; however, I have the same kinds of issues. All the program dialogue boxes are misshapen, bits are missing and I have to resort to task manager to shut them down as they won't otherwise. There's also weird looking - big, misshapen text that has 'crossed out' lines through it - one lot mentioned security certificates.
    I'm attaching a screenshot of the kind of dialogue box I get.
    I'm using CS6 as a trial, though I've purchased the PS subscription.
    I'm using windows 7 64 bit
    I plan to purchase the full CS6 next year as a student, but theres not much point if it won't work,,,
    I'd love a solution to this.

  • Activity won't work in IE 6

    Hi everyone, I hope someone can help as I've been struggling
    with this for about 4 months. We have an online course that
    includes interactive exercises. One of the exercises has two parts,
    the students first click on an arrow and the Shockwave player loads
    and an audio file plays with a pronunciation of a word. Then the
    cursor bounces over to a text field and users are supposed to type
    in the word they just heard. The exercise comes up correctly and
    you can click on the arrow and word is sounded out. Then the cursor
    does jump to the text field, however nothing happens when you try
    to type the word in. The activity worked correctly last spring in
    IE 6 and works correctly now in Firefox. However it just won't work
    in Internet Explorer. I have reloaded both Shockwave and Flash
    players (reinstalled with the latest versions). I put up Firefox
    and IE 6 up in side-by-side windows to compare settings. I've
    searched the Microsoft knowledge base and the Adobe/Macromedia
    knowledge base. No luck. I contacted the publisher of the content
    and they said it "works for them"! I'm attaching the code for one
    of the interactive exercises (there are at least 20 of them in the
    course that don't work). Any suggestions would be greatly
    appreciated.

    You are using Swing components in your applet , and the Microsoft VM dosen't have the javax.swing package . You could try with the Sun Java Plug-in.
