SU01 Parameters ID in CUP

Hello eberybody,
In CUP we can define users parameter IDs in the User Defaults section of the configuration tab.
This parameter works only if we have fixed and known values. For example it works for the Company Code. If you have 10 CC in your system, you specify 10 conditions in the user defaults mapping then the CC specified in the request form will be correctly filled.
But it doesn't work with free text field attributes. If we want to use for example the personal number parameter that is a text custom field, we can't define it like a condition because it isn't a fixed value.
Does anyone have a way to by-pass this problem? to use CUP to fill in free text SU01 parameter ID?

Hello Ben,
You can populate the Parameter Id fields on end user screen by creating a custom field(dropdown) and giving the SAP Table Name as : TPARA and Field Value as PARAMID. But it won't be of much use as this field cannot be mapped to the correspoding SAP field for provisioning. Hence you can't provision the Parameter Id fields to SU01 when you have them as free text or dropdown in CUP end user screen.
The only way to provision Parameter Ids is through User Defaults.

SU01 Parameters across ABAP systems using IDM

Anyone have some ideas on how to handle SU01 Parameters across multiple ABAP systems ?
Our difficulty is that the parameters required in the ERP system do not exist in the SOLMAN system so I cant create a 'global parameter' list for a user in the MX_PARAMETER and let IDM send it out everywhere.
Parameter examples are ;
/RWD/LANG=EN
MOL= 13

We looked at creating a PARAM<system number> type field and then changing all the required provisioning tasks, but after a closer look, we decided that parameters on the main ERP/HCM system will be done with an ABAP program. So immediately after HRUSER process has created the SU01 record, the abap program inserts inserts the required 30 or so PIDs according to the HR area. Other reason for doing it this way is that once the PID's are assigned to the user, the user can then change some of them via their transaction screens. So we didn't want IDM changing or even tracking the PIDS after the initial creation.
All other systems had minimal use of parameters and these will be done manually.
Would be a great addition to the IDM application if it did politely handle differing PIDs in multiple ABAP systems !

GRC AC 10.0: Info about rejected roles in the CUP Email

the GRC componetent CUP seems to be technically mature in comparison to Role Management component, but there is one thing where I am not sure, is it an error or did I miss some config parameters:
When the CUP Request ist closed, the user gets an email (Template ID: GRAC_AR_CLOSE). Not all of the roles were approved, some of the roles were rejected. But the user gets an email where only the approved roles are listed:
We would like to inform the user about the status of all roles in the CUP requests: which roles were approved and which roles were rejected. Is it possible to configure in MSMP Workflow?

Hi Sabrina,
To notify the requester for the roles which got rejected, you can try with Email notification template: GRAC_MSMP_ERM_REJECTED for the for the message class.

Standard Report not Displaying 'SAVE LAYOUT' Option

Using Tcode VF44, i am getting output list.But in that list when i click on select layout option from toolbar its not displaying 'save layout' Option. can anybody give me soln for the same.How can i get that option?

hi ,
it depends on the user parameters.
U have to identify the parameter id and u have to activate it in user maintainance partameters .
su01 -> parameters.
ex . parameter id -> SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN -> X
so u can save layout now.

How to restrict user to process own company code data in z program

Hi All,
I have this issue. in asset management I would like to restrict user to process its own company data.
for example A who works in company 0123 only can process comp code 0123 data whereas X who is manager can process all company code data.
In the abap program, how can i achive this? by authority object? if yes what asset management authority object to use?
i have company code in selection screen. so may i know what method i can achive so that A can only execute co 0123 whereas X can do for all company code.

One way would be:
For all persons for whom you would like to 'control' the access to a specific company, SU01-->Parameters--->Give some parameter ID say XXX, & in PArameter Value key in the compnay code whose data it can process.
Please note that this is only one time process which has to be carried out for all the users. Then in your z-program in SELECTIO-SCREEN OUTPUT use GET PARAMETER ID 'XXX" Field w_value. If GET PARAMETER ID returns su-subrc = 0 then move w_value to your company code on the selection screen. Then Use LOOP AT SCREEN & make SCREEN-INPUT = '0' for company code so that company code will be displayed but protected thus not allowing the user to change the company code.

The format that appears by Default for date printing in the List is picked from SU01 parameters or SU3
You can change the defaults by going into ur system profile.
Su01 - Change - Go into Defaults tab.
U can see various details like Start Menu, Logon lamguage, Decimal notation and date format. Choose the format u want and save .
But the Date Format Is not reflected just by changing the format, you need to Log Off and Log In again to see the changed format in the output.

Business Area in FI Doc Differs in COPA Doc

Hello,
In an FI document, business area was different against the business area recorded in COPA document. We could not trace how this happened.
FI Doc BA1
PA Doc BA2
To correct, we reversed the FI document. But, reversal did not meet the objective. Business Area in PA doc was then the same with FI doc.

So, there's now misstatement between the two.
We adjusted the PA via KB41N (Manual Repost of Revenue). And it was then balanced.

But KALC was ran at month end. CO is always reconciled with FI at month end. Hence, the adjustment made via KB41N was made with FI doc. FI & PA is again, not balanced. As if KB41N was not posted.
How do you handle this difference as to business area in FI & PA?

There are 2 things to it
1. 1st to rectify the situation, you can post a adjustment from KE21N.. where in you post a -ve posting for wrong BA and then normal posting for correct bus area
Or, you can use KE26 also which will repost in one shot...
2. 2nd is to identify the cause what triggered the wrong bus area in COPA... Check if you have some derivation rule in place which dictates a business area.... Or try to create the same scenario again and check whats the business area...
In order to put a break point and check the derivation rule while posting billing document, use Function module KEDR_COPA_DERIVE.
Set DEBUG-SHOW_TRACE to 'X' in order to get a trace list at the end. I think you do this in your user id in SU01 parameters
Set DEBUG-BREAK_AT to the step number, say, 0035 if you want to analyze step no 35 of KEDR. The system will stop in the process loop for that step.

Keep the value A to SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN in SU01->parameters tab and save.
Then log-out and again log-in and try.

Avoiding save option POP upin a interactive planning screen

Hi,
I have a requirement to avoid the Pop up menu which asks to save changes, when i close the interactive planning table. This save option comes up even though i havent changed any data. So i need to switch off this pop up, if i am not really doing nay changes in the planning table. I just view the data.

Hi,
If you are just viewing, why don't you set the parameter /SAPAPO/SDP94_D_MODE to X in user own data or SU01 - parameters tab. It puts you in display mode by default and when you go to edit mode, it works as usual.
Checking whether there are any changes and then giving the popup may put extra load on the system...but you can try with BADI /SAPAPO/SDP_INTERACT, method SAFETY_POPUP_EXCLUDE...
I haven't tried this though.

Not to change price in PO

What are the customizing settings need to be done?
Not to allow end user to change price (conditions) in domestic PO (document type level), the conditions which are copied from inforecord.

You can Solve this Using OMET Function Authorization. Now Go to OMET and Create One Function Authorization say PR ans inGeneral Parameters Tab Give Field Selection Key as $DE1.
Then Go to Possible Reference Objects Tab Pur Tick Mark against W/o Reference and Save.
Now in SU01 Parameters Tab add the User Parameter ID EFB and Save.
Then Try once.

CUPC8 + CCMCIP + certificates

Is it just me, or does CUPC8 ignore the certificate validation parameters passed via CUPS and/or the CSF registry (CcmcipServerValidation)? Not matter what I set in either place, the logs continuously reflect something like:
[CCMCIPProvider] [CCMCIPClient.fetchDevices(241)] - Unknown certification level, setting it to SELF_SIGNED_CERTS. Unknown level value:
[CCMCIPProvider] [CCMCIPClient.fetchDevices(244)] - Setting certification level to '1' (SELF_SIGNED_CERTS)
I’m assuming from the looks of this that the registry setting is bypassed in CUPC8 and it is supposed to get this from the CUPS server, but… no.
This presents something of a problem when trying use something besides a self-signed certificate on the CUCM... is this a known issue?
p.s. there appear to be similar implications for Unity Connection integration to CUPC, I have trouble using anything but self-signed certificates.. I must be missing something

The work around suggested in that bug does not work:
"Workaround:
If using CUPC, on CUP set server certificate validation to "Any Certificate" for CCMCIP and Meeting Place profiles used by CUPC"
No matter what is set in the server cert validation field on CUP for the CCMCIP profile, CUPC still errors with a CCMCIP certificate error. That's why you have to revert to self signed, because as the original poster said CUPC ignores these settings and only works with self signed certs.

What is the equivalent table of USR05 in 4.6C

I want to copy user parameters from 4.6C to ERP 6.
I know in ERP 6 user parameters are stored in USR05. What table in 4.6C stores User Parameters Information(SU01--> Parameters TAB).

Table name is USR05
USR05 in 4.6C is Pooled table
USR05 in ERP 6 is Transparent Table

Nothing like that you have to give numbers you can give characters any characters the same value you have to maintain. in su01 parameters also ok
If parameter UGR is not set in the user defaults (transaction USER), enter the reference user group that should be used for the menu layout.
In su01 usergroup value is
Specifies a default value for a field for the parameter. The value is only valid for the current user.
If you specify a value for the parameter, this value is always defaulted when the user displays the field.
If the user enters a new value in the field, the new value is only kept during the session. For the value held in the user master record to come into effect again, save the parameter.

Parameters provsioningin CUP 5.3 SP9

Hi Experts,
We have certain roles, when assigned to user ,the user also needs certain special parameters !
how can we provision these parameters to users ?
these parameters should only be given to the users who has these roles , so I want these parameters to be assigned at the same time when the roles are provsioned via Work flow .

Hi,
you can set Parameter id's using USER DEFAULTS in CUP based on combination of attributes in back end.
Managing user defaults allows you to link data fields that are automatically set for new users created in CUP. Once you have configured User Defaults, the data is transferred to the in the SAP back end system (SU01) as defaults.
But based on role, i think it is not possible from CUP.

CUP - field mapping from request to SU01 for Accnt No worked only once

CUP - field mapping from request to SU01 worked only once. I configured the Field Mapping for Account Number with Account Id. First request worked fine in DEV systems, 2nd and 3rd requests failed. Same thing happened in QA systems. Not sure whether the difference in SP on GRC and ECC is causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
We are currentky on GRC 5.3 ABAP stack SP 14.0
and
ECC - SAPK-53315INVIRSANH VIRSANH 530_700: Support Package 0015

Yes, we are on VIRSANH SP15 also VIRSAHR SP13 for SAP_HR . My connector type is SAP HR System, Version ECC 6.0.
We are on GRC 5.3 Support Pack 14.0 . Our GRC 5.3 installation is running on ABAP stack.
It is very strange that in QA client, SU01 got updated atleast 3 times with new account number , user group. Tried 4th time, did not work. In DEV client, it worked only once.
