Sub-account user id rules

I'm trying to create a sub-account but I keep getting a message that the names I choose are invalid.  I know that there are rules for passwords and for sub account names, and I am following those rules.  I'm not talking about already used names, like "John" -- that gets me the error message that the name is already being used.
I know that the "-" or the "_" or the "." can be used.There is a minimum (6) and maximum (30) limit on the number of characters in the name.  If I follow all of those rules, why would it be invalid if it is not already in use by another user?

I wanted to share my results with the community here. Verizon is asserting that there is an apperently unwritten rule about special characters requiring a separation of two letters or numbers betwen them. 
"One of the parameters of alias/username creation was two special characters, whether they be periods or underscores (._) 
cannot be next to each other, or separated by only one character.  The actual glitch occurred which allowed it to be created originally.  That format should not work on our portal."
Maybe Verizon will add that to the list of rules.

    As the admin on the account, why do I not have access to the username on sub accounts? I am trying to see the emails for a sub-account that I set up, but I forgot the username and the password for the account. Is there anyway that I can acess the sub account without having to delete it and create a new account?

    Yes there is a way. Login to your primary account. Go to the account profile page. Scroll to the bottom to see all the user names on your account. Once you have the username, you can sign out of the account. Go to the login page and click that you forgot your password and follow the instructions. Please let us know if further assistance is needed.

  • Sub-account Users and FIOS phone call logs

    Verizon created FOUR separate account "Profiles" within my home for Internet and Phone Logs viewing use at the outset of their installation Two weeks ago.
    One Primary acct... which Verizon designates.... and THREE other Sub-accounts. Seems ONLY the Primary account is allowed permission to View FIOS phone call logs, block numbers etc.... We changed over from COMCAST a couple of weeks ago where not Only did the Primaey account had these priveleges, but that same Primary account bestowed priveleges to all the other Secondary Sub-accounts to do the same via a check box.....don't see that here.
    so I'm wondering is Verizon allowing only ONE acct ..(ie. Primary) to have this feature?

  • Portal Partner Sub-account Switch

    I switched my Verizon portal partner from Yahoo to Windows Live w/o any problems.  At the Windows Live sign in page, I can sign in with my @verizon.net email address.  The problem is with a sub-account I manage.  At the Windows Live sign in page my sub-account user with an @verizon.net email address can't sign in to Windows Live.  The error relates to the domain name, so it seems only the primary email account is recognized.  I even created an @live.com email account with the same prefix as the Verizon sub-account and tried linking them but it didn't work.  It also shouldn't be necessary to have 2 separate accounts when an @verizon.net account exists as a portal partner.  How can I migrate my sub-account over to work the same way as the primary email account?

  • Sub-account Permissions

    I just created a sub-account for my sons.  However, I noticed that the sub-accounts have the ability to modify my plan, DVR settings, etc.  Yet sub-accounts are restricted from paying the bill.  As the main account holder, how do I restrict the permissions of the sub-accounts?

    Assuming you signed in to "MyVerizon" using your primary credentials, you should normally be able to sign out and then sign back in using the sub-account user name and pass.  This can be done using the choices at the upper right on the main "MyVerizon" portal page.  I just tried to do this using one of my sub-accounts and it worked.
    What I understand you to be saying is that this procedure did not work for you.  This leads me to ask how you changed your sub-account pass, since under normal circumstances such a change can only be done while the sub-account user is correctly signed in to "MyVerizon."

    The wife has just upgraded to an iPhone 5 and her e-mail has stopped working. I can access the sub-account from 'My BT' and have tried re-setting the password. I can create another sub-account and access that one fine from her phone but not the original sub-account. The error message I get is username or password not recognised. Any ideas?
    I'm tempted to delete the sub-account and try the same account name from scratch but am worried in case I can't use that account name again. Would this happen?

    Don't delete the email address from your BT account. If you do I don't think you can reuse it.  Delete the email account from the Iphone and then try setting it up again by following this guide.

    If that does not help then carry out a factory restore of your Homehub by pressing a pin into the recessed button on the rear then try setting up the phone as above again.

  • BTYahoo Sub accounts & Thunderbird

    I am new to BTYahoo last week but have been happily using Thunderbird for emails for many years.  I have set up sub accounts within BTyahoo and in my BT account in Thunderbird.  After a lot of messing about I am able to send emails from these sub accounts in Thunderbird but am unable to receive emails into them.  They appear on the BTyahoo webmail pages but NOT in my Thunderbird inbox.  Emails addressed to the main account do appear in Thunderbird.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.     As it happens, there is no specific need to verify the btinternet sub accounts - especially as you've said that you've set up the individual outgoing server. Typically TB wants to use the "default" server which can mean getting the 553 error message for verification, hence it's best to use individual smtp settings as you have done so.
    There is nothing in webmail to allow the default emails through via the inbox - there is options to send *all* emails including those treated as spam. If you have made any webmail folders and move the emails into them, then these will not download into TB or any mail client.
    I assume that you need to visit the webmail system for each email address (usually meaning logout and re-login as a new email account), rather than have some "strange" rules setup.
    You've not mentioned whether you're receiving any error messages when attempting to get emails from the specific "faulty" email accounts.
    Again - check each email account and choose "Server Settings" and see what you've got in "User Name" for each account - they should all be different of course.

  • How do you post multiple personal domains to .Mac sub accounts?

    I was assured by .Mac tech support that .Mac will host a different personal domain on each of five accounts of a family pak. Now I discover that iWeb is a one-trick pony. I'm stunned that I can't create separate sites and upload them individually. I've never heard of an application that can only create one document!
    And I can't even find the data for that ONE document; ~/Library/Application/Domain.sites2 is only 20kb no matter how many photos you've added to the site.
    So I guess I have two questions: How do you post multiple domains to sub accounts?
    And, where's my data?

    The tilde (~/Library/etc.) indicates home folder; that is where I was looking. I did a Spotlite search and discovered that in attempting to backup my data, I'd moved it; Spotlite found it and it was all intact.
    Then I discovered I could duplicate Domain.sites2, change the names to Domain de.sites2, and Domain daru.sites2, open daru's site and delete de's, then open de's and delete daru's, and I had two separate sites that I presume I'll be able to upload separately. Once I get .Mac sub groups created...
    Seems like a stupid bit of programming; must have hired some windows guys to code it...
    Problem I'm having now is, .Mac won't let me set up a sub account in my wife's name because she already has a .Mac ID and a trial account because she joined a .Mac group. Awaiting a reply rom .Mac tech support.
    So my question isn't quite answered yet, but it does look like I can post several sites without having to set up separate user accounts. Seems like this could be explained in the help file in plain English...

  • Itunes account for sub account not allowed?

    I'm trying to open a new itunes account for my daughter who has a sub account from our .Me "Family Pack". So far, I have been denied completing the sign up process. The error message is: "We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later". Does this mean sub accounts in a .Me "Family Pack" can not own individual itunes accounts? Does it mean one itunes account must be shared among all "Family Pack" members? If so, this seems very limiting for itunes business and not a good incentive for buying the .Me Family Pack. Can someone tell me if this is true or how Family Pack sub accounts can open their own itunes account. Thanks

    If you want them to have access to songs and videos, even free ones, you will need to provide some sort of payment method to set up the account, if not a credit card than a prepaid iTunes card or gift certificate. Apple uses this as verification of the user's country of residence, something the content owners require of them.
    If you only want your users to have access to free songs, you can set them up an account using your credit card, then remove the credit card information from the account. Then they will only be able to download free songs and videos, though if they attempt to purchase something that has a cost, it may allow the purchase, create a balance due, and "clog" up the works until the item is paid for in some way.

    Financial Accounting --> Bank Accounting --> Business Transactions -->Payment Transactions --> Payment Request --> Define Clearing Accts forReceiving Bank for Acct. Transfer
    It is picking the Main Bank GL, which has given in bank master(FI12).

    The config : Financial Accounting --> Bank Accounting --> Business Transactions -->Payment Transactions --> Payment Request --> Define Clearing Accts for Receiving Bank for Acct. Transfer
    Is to decide bank sub account of the sending bank, when you are doing Bank to Bank transfer. This is manditory for cash management bank to bank transfer. Please read the config documentation again.
    I just cut and paste from SAP documentaion.
    "In this activity you define the offsetting accounts for the receiving bank accounts for bank account transfers (payments between house bank accounts) which should be posted to when payment is made.
    The entries are necessary when payment requests are created for cash management payment advice notes that result from cash concentration, for example. The offsetting accounts for the paying house bank are determined by the payment program specifcations and the payment methods used. The offsetting accounts for the receiving house bank cannot be determined from these specifications, however, but can be defined in this section. "
    Now, when you are creating payments with F111 and if you want to get sub accounts for house bank you have to do the following config.
    F111 -> Maintain Configuration -> Bank determination -> Bank accounts ( for each accont id and payment method combination ).
    Then you will see payments from this sub accounts and you have to setup posting rule to clear this account if you are doing EBS.

    Make logging in easier for Sub-Accounts on this computer - when I click on this tab in the main email account it does nothing. It used to allow me to log into all my accounts easier by listing all email address's at log in, but for months I've had to type in each email address whenever switching emails. Can anyone help with this issue? Its on my verizon yahoo account.

    Hey dpg123, it sounds like someone accidentally click on save password when signing in.  You can try to reverse the issue by clicking onto Internet Option from the Control Panel.  On the General Tab under Browsering History click on the Delete button and you have to delete Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and Passwords on that pc.

    Can you please show me an example to use negation in user defined rule? I created a rule like below (the rule says if a patient has a fever problem and not have penicillin hypersensitivity, then recommend medication1):

  • Yahoo login page incorrect for sub accounts but not admin account.

    Using: Windows Vista OS and Mozilla Firefox 4.0.1.
    BT Yahoo has a login page that allows the user to create a seal on the login page to help identify a valid website.
    I am th main account/admin and I have no issues; everything looks good and correct.
    My husband has a sub account, but there is no seal showing nor is there a clickable facility to create a seal.
    This occured immediately after upgrading to Firefox 4 and unstalling and reinstalling did nothing. Had no issues prior to upgrade.
    Appreciate any helpful suggestions.

    Any ideas regarding the weirdness of why my computer with a main account and a sub account with only one version of Firefox 4.0.1 manages to view the login page of Yahoo completely differently?
