Submitting forms for distribution

I am currently designing several different forms for my department to use when carrying out various procedures. I am distributing them to my team and they fill them out whenever required then hit 'submit' to send them back to me. The problem I have is that when they come in, they all have the same subject message 'Submitting completed form'. Am I able to change this? Its not the end of the world because the attatchment carries the form name, it would be handy though when filtering my inbox.
Hope someone can help.
Kind regards

If you want to use Adobe tracking I don't think you have the ability to control the subject dynamically.
However, submitting to a server-side script is a better approach to using adobe tracking, and it has the ability to control the subject, body, e-mail to, cc, bcc by pulling data from form submission values.
PDFEmail.net server-side scripts can e-mail and attach the WHOLE PDF without 3rd party e-mail software such as OUTLOOK.

"The filename you specified is not valid because it does not include a .pdf extension, contains one or more invalid characters or teh path preceding it refers to a protected system location."
Tried removing dashes from filename, shortenign filename, moving to root directory. No changes. File ends with a .pdf extension.
This is my first attempt to distribute via acrobat.com

I found that I got that same message using Acrobat Professional to send out a document for shared review.  I had an exclamation mark in the title of the PDF. When I took out the exclamation mark, it worked.
So maybe try taking out anything "unusual" (parentheses, dashes, exclamation marks, etc.) in the file name and see if that helps.
    Good luck,

  • Flash Player 16 PPAI available in MSI and EXE form for distribution?

    Hi,
Do we have Flash Player 16 PPAI plugin available in MSI and EXE form for distribution?
    Where can we find that?
    Thanks,
    Prakash

    Hi Prakash,
Sorry for the delay and confusion about the application process.  That was my fault as I thought your application through our normal channel would at least flag a manual response from the team that works on licensing.
As it stands, we're currently working through legal and logistical issues for PPAPI distribution.  We hope to have a mechanism in place in the coming months.  I should also note that we do not have plans at this time to create an MSI or PKG version of the ppapi installer.  Of course, we'll reevaluate if there's demand.
I'd like to understand your use case a bit better.  Would you mind dropping me an email at [email protected] and explaining how you'll be using the ppapi build and how many clients you expect to distribute to?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Try filling out the form in Reader without using the Reader plug-in in the browser.

  • Submitting forms for editing

I am new to boards but giving this a try. I am a physical therapist. I want to make a hand written form into an electronic form. then I want to send that form to an agency where they will review the medical content possibly editing it then returning it to me for review. If I approve when I come to the office they will print it and I will sign it. I would like to do this with PDF reader at the agency's end. I would like to use the form on an ipad PDF reader to fill the data into the form. I don't understand the lmitation I have read about 500 unique users or 500 edits. Can anyone explain this to me. I'm very confused about this. I will be using the form by populating it with data from each patient.

    Hi,
Maybe this question is too broad. I have created a fillable PDF using acrobat X. I have saved it to be allowed to be filled and saved from reader X. I am going to use this PDF as a form to gather information for my evaluations of patients. I want to do this on a new ipad using adobe reader. I will then save the filled form and have it printed. I want to save each form under the name of the patient.
Are there limitations to my using adobe reader with this form I created? the end user agreement confuses me. can anyone explain to me what I can do and can't do with the form I created that I want to fill with adobe reader on my ipad.
    Thanks

  • Creating email form for distribution from a recordset

I am new to the Master Collection of Adobe's products.  I am coming from Macromedia 8 Studio.  In that earlier version I used Dreamweaver to create a recordset (from a table resident on the server) and I looped through a list of email addresses, sending a custom form that personalized the content with fields from the recordset.  CFMAIL was the tag that I used in getting this done.  The file created was cfm.
Not that I am asking for a "how to" at this time, I am wondering what might be an alternate accomplishing the same thing with the latest applications within the suite.
Also, I have always shyed away from including graphics for fear that the recipient would trash the email if he had to click a dialogue asking whether graphics should be displayed.  Other departments within the firm are using Constant Contact to accomplish all of this, and they apparently are successful at sending graphics that display upon the opening of an email with no such prompting.  I would rather not use Constant Contact.
They keep me busy here, and I must admit that I have not had the time to explore the array of products that I now have at my disposal.  Any direction that you can lend would be appreciated.

  • Change sender email for submitted Form emails

I built a website for a client using Muse and the Form widget through Business Catalyst. However, now whenever the client gets emails from a submitted form, it says its coming from MY email. How do I change the sender so that they recognize that it's not a personal email from me, but rather a submitted website form. Hope that makes sense!

UPDATE: I just figured it out after having posted this no less than 10 mins ago. Thanks community, your genius overflowed to me and helped me solve my own problem. For anyone who is curious, in the Business Catalyst Admin Console, Under the Site Manager tab in the menu, you simply click "System Email" and the "Set default from email."   I can't believe I missed that, and I call myself a professional. Hope it helps someone else!

  • Is it possible to have a form for 2 individuals to complete before submitting?

Is it possible to have a form for 2 individuals to complete before submitting? The first person will fill out a portion of the form and the second person will fill out the rest of the form and submit.

You can create a submission-enabled PDF first. Ask the first person to fill out his or her portion of the PDF form and save the file. Send the saved file to the second person and have him or her to fill out the rest of the PDF form and submit.
    To create submission-enabled PDF
    1. Click on the Distribute Tab
    2. Click on the "Save Sumbission-Enabled" PDF button.

  • Adobe Tracker for distribution of forms

Will Adobe Tracker for distribution of forms be affected?

    Hello,
No, Tracker isn't going away; however, if you are using Workspaces to distribute forms and collect form data, you will need to begin using an alternative. Within Acrobat, you can distribute your forms using an internal server or via email; you might also want to look into Adobe FormsCentral, an easy-to-use service for creating and distributing PDF and web forms (and works independently of Acrobat and Tracker). Let me know if you'd like any further assistance or clarification.

  • How can I set up a form for someone to fill out on another person's behalf?

I am trying to set up a form in which someone is asked to fill in the form for another person. Basically, we're asking people if they're still our primary contact. If they are, it's a simple blind form confirmation. If they're not, we are asking them to please tell us who is. So it will take them to a form where they can tell us who is the new contact. However, I don't want cookies for the new person to be attributed to the person that filled out the form (as that would then mess with segmentation, lead scoring/nurturing, etc). We also need to see who is the person filling out the form, so we know who the new person is replacing. So we'll need to collect the name and/or email address of the person filling out the form, in addition to the name and email address of the person they're adding.
I know this can be done, as at a previous company we had a form that was used internally to add people who called in sales inquiries, so that we could capture them as "submitting an inquiry" as if they had just filled out a form. For example, I would fill out the form after someone called in asking for product information, but the online behavior of that person would not be attributed to me even though I filled out the form from my computer. Unfortunately, I can't recall how this was set up. Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be set up?

    Hi Abby,
The easiest way to do this is to set up two forms:
The first form is for your primary contact, who will submit the email address for the secondary contact and any additional contact data for the secondary contact. You can also include a field (hidden or otherwise) for the primary contact if you wish to record this form submission activity, but functionally this is not required.
A second form which will accept the secondary contact's email address and any other contact info you'd like to capture through this process.
The trick is that once you've got these two forms saved, you add a form processing step to the first form called Post Data to Server. In this processing step, you fill in the details for the second form, including making sure to map the secondary email address field on form 1 to the primary email address field on form 2. The URL will need to be the POST action url for the secondary form, which you can get from the integration details. You'll also need to append your SiteID and Form Name, and also a variable to disable cookies for this submission (elqCookieWrite). The final URL should be something like this:
    https://s1886.t.eloqua.com/e/f2?elqSiteID=1886&elqFormName=Alt2&elqCookieWrite=0
My organization is 1886, so you'll have to replace this with your Site ID
My secondary form name is Alt2, so you'll have to replace this with your secondary form name
elqCookieWrite=0 ensures the secondary form will not try to associate the session with the ElqGUID (cookie)
In the secondary form, make sure you have the processing step Update Contacts - With Form Data.
Now when submitting form 1, you'll see a submission to both forms, and the contact info submitted to form 2 creates a new contact (or updates an existing one) with no ties to the current session/cookie used to submit form 1. You can add these contacts to a shared list, enter them into a separate campaign or program, or anything else you could do with a normal form submission.
One caveat to remember though is that since this person did not submit the form, you have not technically collected any permission to contact them, so you'll have to sort that out with whatever rules apply in your area (your use case seems to be for existing customers which is generally OK, but you should still check).
    Hope this helps,
    Richard

  • How do I create an email list sign up form for my iWeb website?

Well that's the question - how do I create an email list sign up form for my iWeb website?
Could someone tell me what's the simplest way using iWeb to create an interactive option
for users to enter their email address and the info be forwarded to me so I can add to an
    email list?
It would be great if, since I'm using a Mac computer & iWeb, there was a way to have the
submitted emails automatically added to a group in my Mac Addressbook.
I got this MacBook Pro in Sept 2010 so I believe that's iWeb '08 I'm using.
Anyway I'm thinking there should be a way to do this with some system involving an HTMK
    Widget and an email account.
By the way this is for hosting through a 'real server', not MobileMe (which I plan to get later
    when I can afford it).
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Mark

Website forms require some code in a snippet and a formmail.php script on the server to process the form and send the info to the required email address. You can do all this when you switch to a "real" server.
In the meantime you can use a form  or marketing service or, better still, an application like MailShoot which generates the form, handles the database and sends out the bulk emails.

  • Custom tabular form for multi-row not saving data

Ok, before anyone asks, yes, I did read the how-to:-)
I have a custom tabular form, which I did cause I need to use popups and the popups that you can use in the wizard tabular form does not display the text but rather the value underneath it.
It returns data rather nicely and when I go and update values I can tell it is changing the fields underneath. I put a process in that will display the values in text fields on the form (for one row only) and I see them changing from what is already there and with the proper values.
However, when I do that the data that is displayed then gets reverted back to what it was previous to the update but reports that the process was successful.
I have also tried to insert but that is basically doing the same thing. Can anyone guide me.

    Florian,
Checkboxes are different from other HTML form items. When you have a text box for example, there's always a value send to the server when submitting. Even if that value is NULL. When you have a checkbox however, you only get the value if the checkbox is checked. It's not posted to the server when it is not checked. That's the general behavior of HTML forms and not specific to Oracle HTML DB.
When working with tabular forms in HTML DB, you can access your form values using the htmldb_application.g_f0x arrays. Now if you have for example 10 rows in your form, then you'll get ten elements in your array for text boxes, select lists, etc. For checkboxes however you'll only get as many elements as you have rows checked. If I read your update and insert code correctly, you're trying to use the checkbox arrays the same way you use the arrays based on other item types. My recommendation would be to use Yes/No select lists instead of checkboxes or at least use select lists initially to get it working and then work on properly processing the checkboxes.
Some general information about working with checkboxes in tabuar forms can be found here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/checkbox.html#CHECKBOX_IN_REPORT
    Hope this helps,
    Marc

  • Text hidden in submitted form

Our company uses and Acrobat form for our online employment and volunteer applications.  We have an issue with the form being submitted to with all the text fields apparently "hidden." the only way i have found to get the text that is entered to show up is to selece each text box, check box and radio button and change the fill property on the appearance tab to "no fill."  I have to do this even if it is already set to "no fill."  Once i do that all of the text appears.  The form is currently downloaded by the applicant, filled out in Reader, saved and then emailed to our HR department.
Does anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this issue?  The form was created in Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.
Here is a link to the form.

    thank you,
    Dustin

I doubt that you would approach the 500 limit of the license for the use of the form and so I will skip that aspect. However, if I am wrong you need to read the EULA carefully about the 500 use limit with the Reader Rights activation.
I would be a bit more concerned with the emailing of the form. It has a lot of personal data that would be easily captured from email. Email is not secure and with personal information you should really be having the form data submitted to a secure web site. There is no need to allow the form to be saved if you use data submission. The data is easily imported to the form on your end.

  • I created a form for our band parents to fill out.  How are they able to save the forms as pdfs?

I created a form for our band parents to fill out.  How are they able to save the forms as pdfs and be able to go back and view them?  I see the Save Submission-Enabled PDF on the Distribution page but there is no option when they go in to the first page of the form to save.
Thank you very much for your help.

If you are distributing a PDF using the save submission enabled pdf option, then respondents can save it using the Adobe Reader. They save it just like any other file - File menu -> save (or save icon on toolbar).

  • Changing Default Submitted Form Subject Line

After distributing a form, how do you change the default email subject line when the user submits it?
For clarity, check the highlighted area in the screenshot below:

Yep it is that file. just replace

I like the comment in the script-maybe Apple's internal bug reporting system needs to be looked at!
