Subscription timer

Hi there,
I use my annual subscription to call family overseas. I call 4 times a month and split my minutes across the month.
Sometimes I worry that my minutes will expire before the 4th call because of the way the month goes. I normally call every Sunday but find that my subscription resets at different times of the month, usually between the 20th and the 23rd of each month, so sometimes I lose my remaining 15 or 20 minutes because the cycle resets before the Sunday.
I was wondering if you could build a countdown timer into the subscription info either in the client or on the website (e.g. You have till the 23rd of March to use your monthly minutes, or something along those lines), as it only tells me the date that my minutes will replenish once I've exhausted my allocation for that month. Alternatively, if someone could tell me where in the client or on the website I would be able to find this info, I would be very greatful.
Cheers,
Freddie.

  • Workflow Subscription Time out

    Hi,
I did a simple subscription workflow on manual activity. When status change from Pending to In Progress, I set a field. The workflow works fine almost all
day. However, I had seen many time out exceptions on event viewer e some other systems workflows with the error
“The database subscription query is longer
than expected. Check the database or simplify the database subscription criteria.
     The following errors were encountered:

As I use powershell script to change a field activity, I would like call a .Net code beside powershell to increase performance. Anybody could send me a documentation about
this? What’s best practice to customization workflow at Service Manager?

    Hi,
This is an indication that the database is being overwhelmed by the activity happening on the database.  It could be because there are too many workflows. It could be because there are some connectors running that are hammering the database.  It
could also be that there are too many users updating the database.  It could also be that the subscription criteria is too complicated and involves too many table joins.  Or it could be some combination of all of those things.  If you see this
event consistently for one particular subscription and not others that is an indication that the criteria for that particular subscription may be too complicated or there are a lot of transactions that are happening frequently for the target class of that
    subscription.
Please refer to the article below to troubleshoot this issue:

  • Error occurs when trying to purchase Dreamweaver subscription - Time out error

    Hi there
I am trying to purchase Dreamweaver subscription with my Master Card and when I accept terms and proceed to pay a message box pops up, see screen capture below:
Could this be my Master Card or is there something else perhaps on Adobe's side that causes this error.

    Hi
There are a number of possibilities, (not including an Adobe server problem).
You have taken too long between entering your details and entering your card details.
You used the browsers 'back' button for some reason.
    You have cookies turned off.
For the first item - The application times out when a user takes more time that set between completing the form and entering their card details. This is done as a security measure.
The second item - The use of the back button causes problems as the data sent to the server is duplicated, (often the use of the back button invalidates a purchase process).
The third item - Cookies are required in order for the purchase process to take place.

I had the same rejection the first time. After looking online at Adobe I thought it was a billing issue, so managed to get that rectifed. I hadnt used a shared secret (as it hadnt shown up because, I thought, the billing wasnt setup correctly). After we corrected the billing, I had access to the shared secret which I have used.
Any ideas what else this could be?
The app is a magazine app which is for free subscription. That's the inapp purchase. No folio in app purchases, because they are free. Sent with the first version on the magazine published, although Apple coulnt have got to it as the subscription time's out.
Help! Because this is the second rejection, it's two weeks on and I am getting close to an event which I must have the app live for.
    Thanks for any help,
    Matt

    Hi Neil,
I used the guide to make the issue — so I think everything is in place.
The first time around our billing wasn't setup so I didn't get to generate a shared secret. The second time I did.
I generated the secret — which I can view under the in app purchase for the (free) subscription in manage in-app purchases. That code I pasted into the admin account iTunes Connect Shared Secret panel for the same customer ID (Account ID). I opened the Folio Producer Organiser afterward — how do you know it registers the code? I didn't see anything to indicate such.
One thing — not sure if it's relevant — whenever the app fails it highlights in yellow the languages in the in-app purchase. I selected more languages this time to cover all the different kinds of English. Again, not sure if that's relevant?
Plus when I click the link to view the app in the app store it says it’s not in the UK store and tries to switch to the US, which if you allow it then says it can’t find. I think this is because it’s not approved and the link will be good when that happens (hence I copied that into the section just below the shared secret on the DPS account admin panel).
Honestly, I am a wee bit stumped now.

    Hello,
Actually you didn't. On January 18th 2015 your Online Number, 3 month subscription was renewed. On January 2nd 2015 you submitted a payment request to fund an Unlimited US & Canada 3 months Subscription which was refused. You have not purchased any Skype Credit.
To be able to make calls you need either a Calling Subscription or Credit and you don't have either at present. [You can't call from an Online Number. Those are for receiving inbound calls].

    Hey,
I've an unlimited europe subscription and I tried to call a Dutch mobile number. (same as my  call id) and it said i haven't got enough call credit for that call.
    What is the problem?
    Thanks in advance!

     Hello,
Your Subscription only includes calls to landlines. Calls to Dutch cellphones require Skype Credit - hence the message you received.

  • Subscription Clarification for Local and Internati...

    Hi!
I will be travelling to Japan with a group of students this coming May and I thought it would be a good idea to get a Skype subscription for unlimited calls. I will have a portable wifi router on me at all times so the internet connection shouldn't be a problem.
My situation is a little complicated so i was hoping some of you could clarify this for me.
    What I need:
-Capable of calling local (JPN) land lines and other mobile numbers (the Japan subscription should take care of this right?)
-Capable of calling back home (If i want to call Canada, will I have to purchase another subscription?)
    Some questions I have:
-If someone wants to reach me, they have to call my skype number right? If so, what is the number classified as by other providers? (I will be primary in country contact for my group. My responsibilities include calling and receiving calls from local companies. Will they have to make long distance calls to reach me at my Skype number? They may have to reach me for emergencies so the easier the better.)

    Hello
You misunderstand Skype. With Skype there are no international calls. All calls are local worldwide irrespective of origin or destination.

  • Which subscription for calling US from Bahrain?

[Topic title updated by moderator to be more descriptive. Original topic title was: "Noob Here"]
    Good Day Fellow Skypers ,
I am about to move Bahrain and will be there for a year.  I've never used Skype outside of its video chat features.  I would like to be able to make phone calls from Bahrain to mobile phones back in the states.  Could someone give me a list of things to consider before I make the investment in subscription plan.
    What I want to do:
Make phone calls in Bahrain from my cell phone (iphone 5s) to mobile phones back in the states
Now, I know that there other alternatives for VOIP calls but this whole international calling thing is confusing to me.  Could someone help me please.
Thanks and Enjoy Your Day Today,

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
Your location is irrelevant. To call to or within the USA from anywhere worldwide you just need the Unlimited USA/Canada Subscription. Make sure you purchase it for 12 months before you leave the US.  Skype subscription

  • Purchasing skype number and subscription

Hello community, I am a new member to Skype.  I'm a bit confused about the fees and subscriptions.  I was about to purchase my Skype number and once it got to the payment screen, I saw that it read, "Skype number, 3 month subcription, etc."  So my question is, are the monthly subscription rate and Skype number separate fees?
Am I to pay for the Skype number AND minute package every 3 months, together?

    Hello
A Skype Number is for you to receive inbound calls from your contacts. You can't make calls from one. Contracts are for either 3 or 12 months.
If you just want to make calls you don't need a Skype Number.
Calling Subscriptions are monthly with discounts for longer term commitments.

  • Office 365 & additional subscription

Hi, I hace an office 365 subscription that gives me 60 mins per month cals and I want to add to this. I selected 120 mins per month to the UK but a message came up saying that the subscriptions would overlap. I wanted a total of 60+120=180 minutes but am not sure if this will happen. In the FAQ section it says the subscriptions are concurrent but the warning message would imply that that is not the case.

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
    1. Within your Office365 Subscription the 60 minutes per month allocation can't be increased.
    2. You can purchase an additional regular monthly Subscription for 120  call minutes to UK to achieve your objective.     Skype subscription

  • Conditionally sending messages to multiple consumers

How would I best accomplish this requirement?
I have one system which produces messages
Multiple systems may want to consume those messages
I want the producer to be able to send messages conditionally
In one instance perhaps I send same message to each consumer
However in another case maybe I only want to send a message to consumers A and B
It would be OK if I could flag certain messages to be for certain consumers, and then those consumers only retrieve those messages designated to them. However I dont think this is possible as any such flag the consumer would have to read once it actually consumes the message and reads it, I dont think there is any way for the queue to make that decision for them.
So it sounds like what I need is a hybrid of point-to-point and publish-subscribe
I want a universal way to conditionally send messages to one or more consumers, and the conditions are dynamic.
    Any suggestions?
Must it be a PTP with separate queue for every application?

    lozina wrote:
Interesting... message filters. I like it.
So with this approach, I can send some messages to everyone, and other messages I can have tailored to specific subscribers?pretty much.
But the subscriber does not actually have to "fetch" each message to determine if the message is meant for him or not, right? When using message filters this act at the queue, not at the client? Basically I want to avoid a client downloading 1,000 messages only to find out none of them are for him. unfortunately, that's probably up to the implementation. the implementation may choose to work that way (download every message and check it), or it may have a way of applying the filter at the server. however, the filters work only on the message properties, so the impl may be able to just get message headers and filter w/out getting the entire message. you'll have to test with the jms impl you are planning on using and see how that works.
    Thanks!
[Edit] these are called Message Selectors right? yes.
And looks like they are specified at the time the client looks up the queue in JNDI?yes, these are provided at subscription time.
Now is this limited to publish-subscribe?no you can use selectors when subscribing to a queue as well. but, queues won't scale very well to lots of consumers (and are hard to manage with dynamic numbers of consumers).

  • Dynamic Message Selection

In PubSub, could we create a durable subscriber, but specify the message selector later on? Kind of filter the message received by the subscriber after the subscriber is created? Keep in mind, the message needs to be retained in the topic if the filter does not match the message in the topic

No - selectors must be specified at subscription time and according to the JMS specification you cannot change a selector once the durable subscriber is created.
A JMS provider may provide an extension which could do something like you ask; e.g. ActiveMQ has support for retroactive subscription policy...
    http://activemq.org/Subscription+Recovery+Policy
which currently is implemented for non-durable topics. It would be pretty straightforward to support retroactive subscription policy for durable topics too; which would allow you to create durable subscribers with artbirary selectors whenever you want and to go backwards in time to consume messages delivered before the subscriber is created.
