Subversion : Author set to empty when submitting a file.

It's ok if I do an import at the beginning however not from within XCode after making a change to a file.
I also changed the owner from myself to www of the svn repos directory. This had to be done as it complained earlier. This leads me to believe as it's doing it through Apache that the user info might be lost. Is this true because if so thats a real design flaw.
Plus I come from a perforce and windows background. Is there no means to lock files until they're checked out. I would appear that Subversion doesn't really think that way. Is that true also?
Cheers,
John.

    Tim,
    It seems that something is seriously wrong.  You may try the following (you may have tried/done some of them already) and see whether it helps (the following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file; 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences):
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

  • How should i set the baseURI when a db file path with a space

    if the db file in a path like c:\program file\myapplication,then i set the baseURI dbxml:c:\program file\myapplication ,some exception occur~what should i do ?
    thanks a lot

    The Base URI needs to be a valid URI, which means it cannot include the Windows '\' character at all. In your case, you should be fine using something along the lines of "file:////C:/program file/myapplication"
    (give or take a '/' or two -- I haven't tested this).
    It's a common for BDB XML users to confuse the argument to create/openContainer() (a filesystem path) with the Base URI (a URI). The meanings and requirements are different. The best thing to do is to set and use a container alias (XmlContainer::addAlias()) to use in your queries.

    Me too. Same kind of problem with Dired also: the menus are empty. I've even gone so far as to reinstall a fresh Archlinux, although not just for this purpose (I just had to try the Beta Fedora 12, but it crashed all over the place. It lasted about an hour on my machine). I know that if I had any business using Emacs I should know how to fix this, but I don't have a clue. It's been happening for a couple weeks now. And just to reiterate, this is a clean install, I haven't messed with it at all, I don't even have a custom .emacs to show. I haven't looked to see if this empty menu thing happens anywhere else or not--these are just the two things I use emacs for.
    I don't see a bug report for this, but I don't feel I have the qualifications to submit a good bug report, so I'm hoping someone qualified will hear our crys for help. Forgive my ignorance, this is my first time posting on here.

  • Where does my trash go its always empty when i delete files they just disappear and trash is always empty no good if i delete something by mistake !!

    Back up all data now.
    This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
    Be sure to select the whole line by triple-clicking anywhere in it. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
    The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2
    Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
    When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar. A text window opens.
    In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
    That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset a password.
    Select your boot volume if not already selected.
    Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
    Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • Setting line position when Reading a file

    pls. help.
    what class does it sets the line position when you read a specific line of the file?
    i used the LineNumberReader.setLinePosition(int) but it does not actually sets the file pointer to the specified line number...

    ok.
    can it also read as binary?
    all japanese characters also are read with dummy characters.
    like the LineNumberReader.readLine(), it reads exactly the same.
    i want the functionality of RandomAccessFile to set the file pointer and can read the characters with no exception on any language.

    Hi
    I am running a stand-alone version of Framemaket 10.I try to convert a documentation with a lot of screenshots in it. Regardless of the settings on the Reference pages of the first document of the book, Framemaker converts all graphic files to *.gif, and these are downsized so much that they become illegible. I would like to have them converted to JPG, with little resolution loss, so they are still readable.
    I think Robohelp is too expensive…

  • No TO is created automatically when Kanban is set to empty sometimes

    Hi Gurus,
    My customer come across a strange problem.
    The same material , the same Kanban, sometimes TO can not be created automatically when Kanban is set to empty, but sometimes TO can be created automatically.
    I checked the following things:
    Configuration :activate 'Automatic TO creation immediately after TR generation' for replenishment strategy '0006 Kanban from WM with transfer requirement'.
                        Storage type and storage section search strategy are right.
    Master data: MRP2 View and WM1 and WM2 view are right.
                       Supply area and control cycle are right.
    Stock: there is enough stock in right storage type and storage section
    when the TO is not created automatically , i can use LT04 to create TO , and search stratey works well.  and TO can be created successfully.
    So only i can come up is because of some one is creating TO , so no TO can be created because of the material is blocked .
    Do you know any other reason will cause this problem?

    Who has any idea on this? thank you!

    Yes. you should keep your media in iTunes, and indeed you should also keep a backup of your library as well. if you have the device set up for manual management then the content would remain on it when deleted from the library, but you would have no way to restore the device if there was a problem.

    Hi Diego,
    Thanks a lot for your quick response! Sorry for the delay in responding; I was travelling.
    Uploading the new files from the Note you mentioned allowed us to view what the actual errors were; but we've started running into new errors now; when looking at the operation logs for VDS, I see that the webservice actually returns an operation result of SUCCESS also quoting that "Finished add operation"; which is why the request does in fact get created in CUP but a couple of log entries later after the webservice returns the request number I encounter the following error within VDS:
    Exception in GRC WS API call:oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Here's the error found in sequence within a set of other operational log messages within VDS:

    It's the strangest thing, because it seems to send the request across successfully which is how the request is getting created in CUP but after it succeeds it encounters the exception with the GRC WebService call from the API; any ideas why this is happening? how can we possibly fix this?
    Would greatly appreciate any insight / advice on this!

  • Empty SubForms submitting empty fields/records

    I have a document containing three pages.  The first page contains two checkboxes that will display the hidden subforms I have in document, if needed.  If the user does not need to access the subforms, check boxes are set to off and the subforms will not display.
    How do I prevent from the empty subforms from export to data.xml file when submitting file via email submit.
    I would like to know how to script or change a setting that will prevent the empty subforms from submitting when document is submitted.

    I am not a programmer but will try and figure this out... in your code does it look for empty tags or is there additional coding required to first look for empty tags and then remove the empty tags with the code you provided as an example.
    >>> Srini Dhulipalla <[email protected]> 4/22/2010 12:43 PM >>>
    Incase if you want to delete the tags conditionally you need to write code before Submit/ export the data..
    You need to use xfa.datasets.data.nodes collection which is nothing but the XML that is generated from the form. You need to loop thru the collection and identify which tag is not needed in the XML and remove it.
    For Example:
         var nodeRemove = xfa.datasets.data.nodes.item(0).nodes.item(1);     xfa.datasets.data.nodes.item(0).nodes.remove(nodeRemove); //Where nodeRemove is the node that you do not want to appear in the data XML.
    Another Example to loop thru the nodes in Data..
    //Remove the userImageURL tag from the Output XML
    for(i=0;i<xfa.datasets.data.nodes.item(0).nodes.item(0).nodes.length;i++){
         var strTagName = xfa.datasets.data.nodes.item(0).nodes.item(0).nodes.item(i).name;
         if(strTagName == "userImageURL"){
              nodeRemove = xfa.datasets.data.nodes.item(0).nodes.item(0).nodes.item(i);
              xfa.datasets.data.nodes.item(0).nodes.item(0).nodes.remove(nodeRemove);
    Hope this gives an idea..
    Thanks
    Srini

  • Issue where the cart is empty when user logs back in

    Having issue where the cart is empty when user logs back in
    Steps:
    1. User logs into the site
    2. User selects items and the cart is updated
    3. User logs out of their account
    4. User exits/closes the browsers
    5. User then reopens the browser, navigates to the site, logs in and the cart is empty
    My understanding is that the cart should be populated with the previous items since the user did not complete the order.
    I have the following settings:
    in shoppingcart.properties
    persistOrdersForAnonymousUsers=true
    persistOrders=true
    in cookieManager.properties
    sendProfileCookies=true
    in /atg/userprofiling/ProfileRequestServlet.properties
    verifyBasicAuthentication=true
    in /atg/dynamo/servlet/dafpipeline/ProfileRequestServlet.properties
    persistAfterLogout=true
    persistentAnonymousProfiles=true
    Anything else that needs to be set?
    Edited by: boyd4715 on Feb 6, 2013 11:07 AM

    I reset the properties back to their orignal state
    in shoppingcart.properties
    persistOrdersForAnonymousUsers=false
    persistOrders=true
    in cookieManager.properties
    sendProfileCookies=true
    in /atg/userprofiling/ProfileRequestServlet.properties
    verifyBasicAuthentication=false
    in /atg/dynamo/servlet/dafpipeline/ProfileRequestServlet.properties
    persistAfterLogout=false
    persistentAnonymousProfiles=false
    in /atg/userprofiling/ProfileTools.properties
    mergeOrder=false;
    Observateion:
    If an anonymous user comes to the site, adds items to the cart, leaves the site and comes back - the cart is empty - the order repository is not updated
    If a user logs into the site, adds items to the cart and then exits the browser (does not log out), comes back to the site, the selected items are in the cart
    If a usr logs into the site, adds items to the cart, logs out of the site, exits the browser, comes back to the site, the selected items are not in the cart
    An order does not get presisted to the repository until the order is confirmed.
    Based on the last item that explains why the user is not seeing any anything in their cart when they log out. If they do not log out, I assume then that the content of their cart is stored in the cookie.
    So, now the question is - why is this happening - I am not the original author of the site - just trying to get some things fixed on it.

  • Problems with in/out points when submitting jobs via Terminal/command-line

    I've writting a GUI based script which allows a user to select a source Quicktime file, and will encode that file to multiple formats, and trims each destination based on specific timecode in/out points. However, I'm having problems getting the Compressor command-line interface to honor the in/out timecodes that I've explicitly set for multiple jobs within a single commandline.
    In other words, if I want to encode a source Quicktime between 01:00:00:00 and 01:00:29:23 with just ONE setting/destination, then the following commandline works:
    /Applications/Final\ Cut\ Studio/Compressor.app/Contents/MacOS/Compressor -clustername MHM -batchname CLI_BATCH -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov  -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/OTWC.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_OTWC.mov -in 01000000 -out 01002923
    But if I try to append multiple settings/destinations to the commandline, Compressor will only honor the -in/-out arguments which appear in the LAST -jobpath instance in the commandline.
    For example, the following commandline will properly encode the file to multiple destination files, using the appropriate .settings file, but it ignores the -in/-out points that were set for any -jobpath instance that appears before the last -jobpath instance (in other words, every file is output using 00:59:57:00/01:00:30:01 as the in/out points, instead of having the "*_OTWC.mov" file output using 01:00:00:00 as the in point)
    /Applications/Final\ Cut\ Studio/Compressor.app/Contents/MacOS/Compressor -clustername MHM -batchname CLI_BATCH -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov  -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/OTWC.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_OTWC.mov -in 01000000 -out 01002923 -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/HNN-HD.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_HNN-HD.mov -in 00595700 -out 01003001
    It's wierd that everything else about this command-line syntax works as expected (and as explicitly stated in the Compressor -help output, which says "when submitting individual source files. (The) Following parameters are repeated to enter multiple job targets in a batch"), except for the -in/-out points.
    I've even tried quoting the -in/-out arguments using colons (e.g., -in "01:00:00;00") , but this doesnt appear to change the behavior.
    Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?
