Suggestions about the visualisation

It would be good to be able:
* the sort by column the fields in the "Columns" sheet (like to sort by data type)
* to see the tables, views, functions, etc. in different tab sheets instead of a tree view (if you have a lot of tables and views to jump from one table to a view you need to go down, down, down, ... and then select the view. With tab sheets [one for the tables, one for the views, etc.] it would be faster)

As a side note, you can have multiple tables/views open. Just pin them with the red pushpin in the left corner and that tab will persist. You can even arrange the multiple tables/views by dragging the tabs around so that you can view them all at the same time.
I have been known to have 10 or more tables open at the same time and that keeps my scrolling up and down to a minimum. Where it gets confusing is when you have multiple connections open..but that's another story.

Hi All,
I need a few suggestions about the best tool for quality check in our ADF applicaiton.
ours is a small size WebCenter Portal application which neither uses any task flows nor consumes any portlets.
It has many jspx pages that use ADF components like table etc, consume web services using web service clients, and has some java classes.
We have come across below option to implement the code quality tools.
1. Jdeveloper inbuilt Staus option in View tab
2. PMD extension for Jdeveloper
3. Red Samurai
Few more suggestions or best practices would be really helpful.

I'm home from work today so ... here's my modification to your VI. Use it with you existing data. As you get more exposed to LV's existing tools, you'll discover the shortcuts. No loops are necessary for your task.

Procurement starts with requirement which is triggered by MRP. Requirement can be Dependent Requirement (Sale Order, Production Order) or Independent Requirement (Stationery Requirement).
Procurement: Procurement just not involves procuring of material. When a Requirement Triggers, right from creation of Requisition to sending the Purchase order to vendor is taken care by Procurement. This involves creation of Requisition, approval of Requisition, creation of RFQ if needed, converting of Requisition to Purchase order, identifying medium to send PO to vendor, and PO monitoring.

What applecare EUROPE suggests about the horizonal lines

I have the horizontal lines problem on my new PB too. After several calls to applecare EUROPE I got support from the "second support level". I got an email-address to mail pictures and links of discussion boards to demonstrate this bug.
My questions: Can APPLE fix it or not? It is within spezification or not? If I have to wait more than this 10 days to refund, can I (if Apple can/will not fix it) refund it anyway?
Yesterday applecare called back. its comment: "we are working on it, but there is still no order to fix it" with other words: we recognize the problem but have no idea what to do how. Applecare suggests 2 options: 1) live and wait with this lines (perhaps we can fix it) or 2) refund. Not very good information.

Due to all the discussions here and elsewhere with comments like "within spec" I called applecare one's again. This time applecare suggests me to refund or to upgrade to the 17" powerbook (no admission about a known problem we are working on it). The "overtime" of my refund-limit would not be a problem, because I had create a case-number within this period. So I called the applestore. the comment was short and clear: NO refund possible. After more then 2 hours of calling to applestore, applecare, "appletechnics" and "applecustomer" (in german: Kundendienst) I got the final goal: "we take the book back and send you a new one".
NO - that's exact what I DIDN'T want.
After all this I get a new one probably with the same horizontal lines. But after all the discussions with about a dozen of people I lost my energy to explain and explain one's again what's the topic in my casenummer:
Apple please tell us: are the horizontal lines within spec or not AND for all the time you are thinking about this simple question - can we refund anyway, when you says it is within spec. That's all.
But unfortunately I didn't rich the point. I think with this kind of organisation, where more than a handfull people are involved in one simple case it's not possible to move outside of simple problems. what a shame for apple!

I need suggestion about the way , method, or path of learning GUI

Since there are many IDEs that are capable of developing the Java GUI quickly, one of my friend suggest me to learn GUI using code instead of drag and drop GUI component. He said when your boss ask you to fix the error/bug for the front-end part of the program, which is written in code only.
Another situation is that when you are working with a team and your team members using code instead of these drag&drop, he said i have to adapt to using these code to write the GUI.
Actually he has point. what do you guys think? please post your opinion.

You should go through the Swing tutorial and perhaps the 2D demo that comes with the JDK. Look at the code, run the examples, step through it or whatever you want. Suggestion about the 10 friends & family

Hello, My Husband and I have been customers for several yr now and have recently had to go from the Mins. to the 1400 min plan due to the fact that a couple of my friend are not on Verizon, but the rest of our family is on Verizon so now it gives me the option to add my friends to a list and it won't cost me mins. well that's great but now that I have the list which only consists of my two friends I have used less then 200mins in a month and I've had the 1400 min plan now for about 2 1/2 months so why can't Verizon take and make the 700min plan have two or three friends and a family for those that really can't afford to the extra $20.00 a month and especially now days with the economy being the way it is. I think it would benefit a lot of people that don't even come close to using 1400mins or really can't afford to add the extra $20.00

A lot of people are in your situation. The Friends & Family feature of the 1400+ minute plans can easily drop down your usage below the 700 minute point. Part of the reason the F&F numbers are only included on higher priced plans is because of the number of minutes many people get for "free" when using them. I don't think we're likely to see them included on the "budget" plans of 700 minutes for Family Share or 450 for Individual.
I think the best way to save money in your case would be to look at your usage, and try to maximize your night and weekend minutes. Keep your calls to other Verizon users during the day, and then call the non-Verizon folks during "off-peak" times. Maybe with a little diligence, you can reduce your usage far enough that you will be able to move back to the 700 minute plan.
You could also look into doing something like using Skype (or another computer program with cheap VOIP calling) for some of your calls at home to take pressure off your cellular minute allowance.

Suggestion about the iMessage beta on Mac

I thought if user working on one device, the messages shouldn't sync at the same time on all the devices. That notification signal is really annoying.
What if all the messages just sync when user activate other device, that's be better.

Okay - quick update:
Changing my Caller ID to my email makes it work for Messages and Notes... This is no good IMHO and is a very poor user experience as a conversation switching from my phone to my mac via Messages will be seen as two threads from the perspective of the recipient.
Both Messages and Notes do not sync old content, only new... Again, a very poor user experience as the same content is already backed up onto the Cloud.
For me, I'll be going back to using trusty old Skype, Google Calendars, Dropbox etc. I don't know how this update has been heralded as something awesome: We already had most this cloud type functionality with 3rd parties who offer cleaner, more simplistic, open-for-all services.
I know it's tabboo to say, but I've had this mac for a year now, am a technical person by trade, but think that once the allure of how cool Macs are wears off, they're actually quite ****... Unless someone can prove me wrong and show me how to fix these two issues?!

Suggestion about Report Generation Toolkit

I'm adding report generation capabilities to a labview product test application. The report will be 2-4 pages long with text and plots. For other applications, I've used Word Templates in the past using VBA and Visual Basis 6. I had been planning to use the Report Generation Toolkit, but when I tried to run the examples Labview doesn't find the installation of Office, (I'm using Windows Vista). I've already read other posts about this particular problem and other issues with the Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office, including upgrading to Office 2007 and beyond and I'm beginning to wonder if there might be a better longterm solution than the Report Generation using Microsoft Office.
The two alternatives that I'm considering are HTML, and Simplicity AI's PDF toolkit (free),

which I still have to investigate. I figure I could always generate in HTML and then print to PDF using something like PDFcreator (free).
If anyone has any comments/reviews/suggestions about the report generation from Labview, I'd appreciate hearing them.

You might elaborate on the present use of colours, particularly the triple colours used on the first page at the top and at the bottom for the three levels, and also used elsewhere. In this connexion, you might consider designating a colour to each level and use that in the further pages, where the red appears for all as it is now, and to have a fourth general colour for other aspects/purposes.
The (final) colours chosen could reflect and give an impression of the levels: what they offer and what they require.

About the delay when calling Player.start()

How to eliminate or reduce the delay when calling Player.start()? Can someone kindly give some suggestions about the issue? Is that right the more small size of the media file, the more small delay? Can the delay be eliminate?

I think my expression is not clear enough, I rewrite as followed: How to eliminate or reduce the canvas repainting delay when calling Player.start(). The media playing does not delay, but the canvas repainting have a serious delay.

I don't use Facebook, but I can say that clearing the cache every time you shut down is excessive - unless you're sure the cache is corrupt you should leave it alone. It exists to speed up your browsing experience by loading frequently requested items from your drive rather than downloading them fresh from the internet each time. So, I would say stop clearing your cache and see what happens.
As for clearing cookies: I'm not sure what method you currently use, but I would recommend you download and install CCleaner. It's free, and allows you to build up a list of cookies that you want to clear and those you want to keep, before deleting them.
Both of these may help speed things up by reducing the amount of work Safari has to perform whilst browsing. Regardless, I'd say that, unless there's a reason you've not mentioned for performing the "purging" that you do, making these two changes should see improvements in general web browsing if not specifically when loading Facebook.
