Suggestions needed in test configurations output and input

Hi consultants,
I need your suggestions in this following case.
Problem explanation:
I need to take all the outputs generated from test configuration "A" due to execution
of several variants and fed to another test configuration "B" as input .
Queries:
1.Is it possible to get the output values from configuration "A" and fed as input to
configuration "B"without adding all the transactions available in test configuration "A"?
2.If yes,how we have to do that?
3.Is there any code available or settings that we need to do for getting values of
configuration "A" and using it in configuration "B"?
4.Please provide us some links to get more details?

check out the STORE and RETRIEVE commands in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/20/e81c3b84e65e7be10000000a11402f/frameset.htm">Help Portal</a>.
STORE allows you to write data to a special section of the log, which another script can collect using RETRIEVE and various selection criteria.
Hint: 2 configurations or 2 variants running under the same execution have the same log number, which you can use to retrieve data (special variable &LOGID).

To add system to solman:
Go to SMSY and define:
1) Server --> host name, IP etc
2) DB --> DB details
3) System --> R3, Netweaever etc, assign proper components, products
4) define and assign logical components for the system defined in step 3
5) generate RFC destionation to the satellite system
6) Provided you have the necessary trusted authorization and if the RFCs are generated successfully then your task is done. Else you'll have to troubleshoot.
Once this is done, you need to goto SOLUTION_MANAGER and define
1) new solution
2) make necessary inclusion in Solution Landscape Maintenance
3) include logical component
This completes the system setup for you.

Can a sound card be configured to both output and input audio?

I am building a radio tester and would like to output a 1 kHz tone from the laptop's sound card, and then after its been through the radios, input the audio signal again and carry out a SINAD measurement on it. I can get the VI's to carry out each operation separately (that is, get one to produce and output a 1 kHz tone, and the other to read an input audio signal and produce a SINAD measurement), but I can't get the two to work together as required.
I think the problem is to do with the device number. In both VI's the device number is set as 0, so does this cause a problem when running them together. The tone is being generated fine, but but it appears that this is what the SINAD VI is measuring, not the input coming from the radio.
Does the device number refer to the sound card itself, and if so, is it possible to distinguish between the audio in and audio out ports?
Any help would be appreciated.

You certainly can - just look at your Windows Soundcard settings and play
with them for a bit. Are you using Line in and Line out? (speaker that is).
What I do is test them separately then together.You don't need two sound
cards by the way though you must inhibit line in so it doesn't play through
the speakers otherwise the input and output get mixed together.The otehr
problem you should have is that teh sine wave will sound as if it is
intermittant - there is a fix for this.

I want to do output and input Surround Sound from my 2007 Mac Mini

I thought I could output my Mac Mini audio with a Toslink OUT connection, but it turns out my Mini only has a Toslink IN connection- God knows why. I wanted to use the Toslink out to connect to a receiver, which I'd hoped would process my stereo mp3's into Surround using Pro Logic IIx or other codec. But it seems I have to use a regular Y-cable from my Mini's audio out to my receiver's analog RCA in, and hope it does the decoding. Could I then plug it back into the audio in and have the mp3s in surround that I could record? Also, instead of a simple Y-cable, I could use my USB iMic line-out/in (and mic IN by flipping a switch) to go out of the computer into the receiver, which should provide higher quality sound, and eventually plan on using an Apogee Duet audio interface/controller to output the sound to the receiver with even higher quality- BUT STILL, can I then plug the receiver into the Mini's toslink audio in and then have surround versions of my mp3s and other audio being entered back into the Mini. I used to have a M-Audio Sonica theater which I lost which had surround formats including DTS up to 7.1 Surround (but not PL IIx I don't think) and still have the software disc that came with it, but think it is useless without the Sonica Theater hardware and speakers with a hardware amp/decoder such as 5.1 hardware/speaker systems previously sold by Klipsch and Alesis. And I assume my receiver can do a better job implementing surround on stereo sources anyway, I just need to be sure it can be fed back into the Mini audio input for recording. Finally, if and when I get the Apogee Duet (2-in, 2-out line and mic interface/DAW controllerpreset to control GarageBand/Logic, but capable of controlling most all other music software with included software called Maestro), I only have one Firewire input, but also want a Firewire HD- is it true I can daisy-link devices together to control many Firewire devices from one input?) If your mini is an Intel Core Duo 1.83 ghz model, it has optical audio out via a Toslink connector plugged into the audio output jack. You have to enable the optical output, and have a Toslink (optical audio) cable plugged in. Plug it all in then try setting your output with Audio MIDI Setup (in the Applications > Utilities folder).

Do I have to use the same Audio Output and Input source???

In logic express 7.2.3 I can get everything to work fine except when I want to set my sound output to be different than the input device.
I want the Audio Input to be : "Roland USB device"
I want the Audio Output to be "Built in Output"
This works perfectly in Garage Band but not in LogicExpress 7.
As far as I can tell core audio in Logic only gives you the option to use the same device for input and ouput. This makes it impossible for me to record guitar or bass parts in Logic because in order to hear anything in Logic I have to set my systems sounds prefs to use my USB device for both Audio In and Out. This means the guitar is playing through my speakers regardless if LE7 is running or not... and when it is running I hear the guitar at speaker level which means I can't hear it at mix level or any of the effects that may be applied to it.

Thanks... I did that but and it works (sort of ) but now there is a HUGE amount of latency. The audio also starts to crackle after a while. I know this input device is a few years old and the latency could be better but it works completely fine with Garage Band so I'm not sure what to do.

as is noted, I've got an older ibook/processor, w/limited RAM. Suggestions on updates to present ibook g4 vs. purchase of new mac of same size?
What have other OS X 10.39 users found helpful to speed up/free up space. I keep getting the message that i can't play a certain track(s) because of space/speed needs. any help you can give is appreciated

Life in the US is good if such components are cheap; over here is Aus the high end graphics and disks are still BLOODY expensive whilst ram is relatively cheap.
Indeed, going from the drive and gfx card you have to a 80gb ata-4 and a more basic gfx card would save ~250 AUD; which is another stick of 512MB PC3700.

Anyway, in light of your comments, I cant strongly enough recommend RAM; but your other components seem good (I tend toward HP printers down here, but that relates to print reliability at high ambient temp and ink costs); Dont forget a GOOD PSU (many discussions about such, I recommend Antec TruPower 480W).
Of course, I cant resist recommending you go linux, openoffice and GIMP (photoshop workalike); that would save you a LARGE chunk of cash to spend on better hardware (about ~$1200 bucks if you planned to buy XPpro, OfficeXP and Photoshop down here).

Can i use PCI 6115 both as an output and input device simultaneosuly?

I would like to use PCI 6115 data acquisition card from National Instruments for both generating a signal and then configure it for receiving the generated signal. I am using MATLAB program.I ran a program and it shows no error. But the results are not what I expected. Any help will be appreciated

The PCI-6115 can receive and generate signals. It can actually do both at the same time. However, this depends on how it is programmed. Since you are using MATLAB, I do not know what I can do to help. Are you making calls to NIDAQ32.dll?

Questions about reading/writing with output and input streams

I'm getting a bit confused on this subject. I have written an array of doubles to a file, and now I need to know how to read them back in to another array. I have also wrapped each double into its own object, but I need to know how to write those to a file, and read the doubles contained in them back into an array.
Here is what I have so far; the method that writes the array of doubles to a file.

How do I get output and input to work at same time?

I recently got a mac mini and am using Logic Express 8 and when I plug in my USB mic to record, I can't hear what I'm recording. If the speakers are being used, then I can't record. How do I make it where I can record audio while being able to hear the instrumentals? I am at a loss of what to do...

You have to create an aggregate device.
Your mic manual shoudl explain that in detail.

Suggestions needed to manage both gmail and me mail on iPad2

So I have both a gmail account and a dot me account for several reasons. I'm trying to transition simply to the dot me account, but it is going to take a while.
I currently have the gmail account set up as my main email account, but want to be able to read my me mail as well. I don't want to do forwarding between the accounts. I tried to access iCloud to view my dot me mail via the browser, but it pulls up the "set up iCloud" page. I assume, then, that it is impossible to simply view my dot me mail in the browser on my iPad2? And I would have to make my dot me mail account the primary Mail app account?
BUT if I view gmail in Safari, I won't get new mail notifications from gmail, right?
Argh... Maybe I'm missing something very obvious. Is there, perhaps, an app that will facilitate the notification of gmail while it is viewed within the browser?

Thanks for the replies. I'd gotten that far, of course. I basically know the limitations of the POP protocol, though I was hoping someone would have some magic trick up their sleeve.
I certainly could keep both a POP account and an IMAP account on each device (that's what I have on the MacBook at the moment), but the management headache of having a POP account accessed from two devices is more than I want. The whole point of doing e-mail from the iPhone is to eliminate hassles, not increase them.
I suppose I'll have to forward through Google mail or something like that - any free providers that support IMAP?

Thunderbolt, LCD TV, and Input / Display lag

I had a Mac Mini and a large, 55 inch Vizio LCD TV I use for periodic browsing and video watching when I can't use my Apple TV. However, input lag was a problem as the mouse and other inputs were always a fraction of a second off, even with all the filters and processing on the TV turned off.
I recently got the new Macbook Pro 13" since the Thunderbolt port boasts phenomenal output and input speed. Seems to have eliminated the problem. I don't sense the slightest amount of input lag while using my TV. Just in case anyone had any worries, in my case the Macbook Pro connects very effortlessly and input lag is not an issue.
Just thought I'd throw this out as everyone seems to want the new Macbook Pro to have a 3840 pixel resolution and a built in massage chair or something.

I need to configure output type for Adobe Form thru NACE. What would be print program and how do I call my form from that program? and, what would be the FORM routine for that form in NACE?

Just before few weeks we did this task.
Say for example if you want to print PO details through ADOBE form instead of normal sapscript layout or standard MEDRUCK, you can follow the following steps.
1. Design the form in SFP tcode, by passing the necessary inputs through form interface.
2. Then use tcode tcode NACE and select EF as application and click output types button on the application tool bar. Select NEU output type and double click processing routines on left side.
3. Then, in the right side of the screen we can see the calling program and the form (may be sapscript or smartform) whatever used.
4. For form names we have two options in NACE tcode.
One is Form and the otherone is PDF/Smartform Form. If you are using adobe form give your form name under PDF/Smartform and also select PDF under the type option in the same screen.
This worked perfectly for us. But pass the required parameters to the form from the routine used in standard program.

Is it any way of doing it by coding (or) by any other settings in eCATT?
The ultimate logic behind is ,I have added some code in which some of the values will be taken from the log of previous variant and is used in the subsequent variant.So,if the log is not generated for each variant,I will be left with old values instead of new values.
Hence the script will throw error.
Kindly provide ur ideas to me.

Need help in configuring Test Report

Hi Gurus
We have configured Test Package for one of our Time Module. When i am running Test Report it is copying files in Temp Folder. When i open that Report it is empty. Could any one tell me any other configuration need to do ?
This is the steps i am doing
Step 1: Seleting Test Package and click on Goto Tab
Step2 : Click on Create Test Report
Step3 : Selecting all the options
Step4 : Continue

Whenver you generate a Test Report from solman it is blank initially but to generate it you need to open the document and then execute this macro,
SAP_CREATE_TESTREPORT
Have you executed the same ..........you need to adjust your macro settting for wordpad or the security settings.
