Sum formula doesn't change when add row

This question is about Numbers. I have a column of numbers with a sum cell at the bottom of the column. Sometimes I need to insert a row at the very bottom of the column, just above the cell with the Sum formula. I then need to tweak the sum formula to include that added row; however, if I add a row in the middle of the column, the sum formula automatically changes to include that added row.

Numbers will automatically adjust the formula if all body cells above the added cell have the same formula, or if the added cell is within the range specified in the formula.
In the middle of the column, the second is true. At the end of the column, the added cell is outside the range specifired in your formula, and there is at least one regular cell above that does not contain the same formula.
Use one or more header rows at the top of the table for your labels. Use a Footer row to hold the SUM formula. Place the SUM formula in the Footer row, using =SUM(B) for example to SUM the values in all of the body cells in column B.

Change iten property when Add Row button pressed

I have advance table on one update page. There are two requirements on that page:
1. One key Item has to be READ_ONLY for saved rows. It can be changed when new row added using Add New Row button. I followed Changing UI properties (SPEL) example. The read_only property changed for all rows, not just for the added new row.
2. New added row can be removed and saved row can not deleted.
Please help me.

It works for READ_ONLY field. I used same concept to control the delete image using swither. Enable image did show up since the value is null for new added row. Following is my query.

White balance doesn't change when I paste my copy.

When I use preferences or copy paste, my white balance doesn't come with the paste or preference. Is there anybody who knows what could be the problem? (I've checked white balance in the box).

Field values erases when Add Row button is pressed in Master Detail Form

Hi,
I am using APEX 4.0. There is a master-detail form in a page, this has 5 rows in it by default, has a Add row and a Delete button. I face two problems now:
1. When the values are entered in all the 5 rows, that are in default, and Add Row button is clicked, these values are entered in the DB, but they are erased from the interface. Means when user clicks Add row he don't see the old values he has entered. All new empty rows are only seen. This might confuse the user. How can I resolve this.
2. The values are saved to the DB only when the Add row button is clicked, so suppose if the user enters some wrong values in the default rows and after he clicks Delete button, all the field values are erased. Is there a way to delete only that particular row? (Please note: the values are not saved to the DB, unless the Add Row button is clicked)
Please let me know how to resolve these 2 issues.

So let me get this straight:
You enter information into a tabular form and then click the add row and the data is being duplicated from the prior row or being inserted into the table ?

Hyperlink color doesn't change when hovering over link

I create hyperlink, color I select for hovering over link works fine. But sometimes when I publish to my website the link color does not change, but the link works ok. I go back to my mac and check, sure enough the color changes just fine. I wipe out the link and reinsert new one. Works fine on the mac, but when I publish, color does not change when hovering. Help.

Welcome to the discussions. This is a long shot, but try clearing your browser's cache and reloading the page — then see if the color changes when hovering. ( In Safari, click on the Safari menu and choose +Empty Cache...+ )

Using a sum formula with a data and text row?

In 9.3.1 Financial reporting.
One row is retrieving values from essbase connection and is a data row
the second row is a fixed amount (390K) and was entered as a text row.
The third row is the formula row that sums up row 1 and row 2
However the total shows only the value of the data row (row 1)
I read the doc and it doesn't say you cannot do a formula between data and text rows but it doesn't see to work. Anyone get by this without having to create a dimension to dump a fixed number in to report off of?

You are right on.. A text row by definition and functionality is to be considered as a text, and not as a number [Even though the text can be number based].
Did you try something like this?
sum(row[41],390)
As you referred, you can always add a member in essbase DB

Icon doesn't change when copying file

Is there any reason that when I copy a file (.png in this case) to change an icon it doesn't work but when I did it by dragging the picture itself from the website it worked?

you need to make sure you clicked on the icon before copying or pasting it. it should have a blue halo/drop shadow/highlight around it.

Metadata window doesn't change when new thumb is selected

Since recent update I have the following problem several times a day:
I add metadata (in split window) to a few pics. Click on another thumbnail to edit its metadata and the metadata window (left of screen) doesn't show info for the newly-clicked-on pic. It continues to show info from previous pic. Can't change that window regardless of the view or how many other pics I click on.
Only solution I've found is to close and reopen. This happened four times yesterday, and again, within 10 minutes of starting to edit today.
I looked into plists for Aperture (home>library>app support), but there are a lot of them and I'm not sure which might be causing the problem—or if any are.

Iphone screen doesn't change when lifted to talk

I have a new iphone 5. The screen doesn't shut off when I lift the phone to my ear to talk like my iphone 4s. Is this a defect or is there something I can do to change this feature?

It is possible that your proximity sensor is broken. Take your phone to an apple store and let them have a look at it, since that is probably a hardware issue. It could also be a software problem and restoring your iphone could help, perhaps. But take your phone to an apple store, and if youre still under warranty, you could get a new iphone. Cheers

Subportal doesn't change when the user's group is changed, until next login

Hi,
We have two subportals: Physician and Resident. We also have two groups: Physicians and Residents. Users belonging to Physicians see the Physician subportal when they login, and Residents see the Resident suportal. When a Resident becomes a Physician, we move the user from the Resident group to the Physician group (programmatically) when they log in for the first time after this event. Unfortunately, the resident still gets logged in to the Resident subportal. However the next time they log in, they are sent to the Physician subportal. So we are logging out the user when this happens. Can anyone suggest how the user can be redirected to the correct subportal after a group change? Could this be some kind of caching issue? Maybe there is a way to log the user in a second time behind the scenes?
We are using Plumtree version 5.5

In reply to my own post, what we ended up doing eventually was a behind the scenes log out and log back in. Unfortunately we had to store the password in session, which is not a good practice.

Access Connections - IP doesn't change when switching locations

In my Access Connections setup, I have a mix of profiles; some using DHCP & some using static IPs.
I am experiencing problem when manually switching between profiles, where the IP address is not always changing as expected.
For example:
(all profiles are wired connections)
Home (DHCP)
IP address: Allocated by DHCP
Subnet mask: Allocated by DHCP
Default gateway: 10.0.0.1
DNS servers: Allocated by DHCP
Office 1 (Static)
IP address: 203.18.x.x
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.240
Default gateway: 203.18.y.y
DNS servers: 10.10.140.7, 10.10.140.12, 203.18.z.z
Office 2 (Static)
IP address: 10.10.140.202
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 10.10.140.1
DNS servers: 10.10.140.7, 10.10.140.12, 203.18.z.z
Office 3 (DHCP)
IP address: Allocated by DHCP
Subnet mask: Allocated by DHCP
Default gateway: <blank>

On many occasions when switching from, say, "Office 2" to "Home"; the static IP address for Office 2 (10.10.140.202) is not being replaced by a new IP allocated from my home router (which, by the way is configured to allocate IPs from the pool 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.4; so the old IP address should not be valid on that network).
What is even more interesting is when you take DHCP out of the equation, for example when switching from, say, "Office 2" to "Office 1" (both of which are static IP profiles). The IP address 10.10.140.202 (Office 2) should be replaced by the static IP 203.18.x.x (Office 1) in all cases. However on many occasions it is not, and I'm left with the previous IP allocated.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?
I've found that by switching back and forth between profiles, it eventually resolves itself (although sometimes up to 3 or 4 switches is required).

AC 4.42 fail to assign a static IP when the OS is in spanish and the wireless device is Intel. In that case the problem was fixed with a patch that the support guys release.
In your case, I don't know my friend.
Have you tried using only Windows, without AC?

Why data in PSA doesn't change when update rule routine is modified?

Hello guys,
why data in PSA is not changed after I modifiied the update rule routine. I created a infopackage which is only to PSA, but it shows me any change. If I changed this infopackage to the one which is assigned to "PSA firstly, and then to Infoobject", then I saw the changes in infoobject, but in PSA, still nothing changed.
I can't figure out the reason. Any hint is welcome!

1) PSA data is like of source system data
2)Update rules are how you update your keyfigures to Data Tragets.
Since you have put upto PSA that is the first data staging in BW so there wont be any change of the data even if you write routines at update rules.

Apple Mail message read status doesn't change when read

In Apple Mail, when getting mail from an Exchange 2010 server on the corp LAN works great. However, on about 2 out of 10 messages, after I read the message it still has the "dot" showing it as unread and I have to manually select mark > as read. I even let it sit for a while thinking it has to sync but no luck. I still have to manually mark it. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

To clarify something else, the unread mail badge disappears off of the app in the tray as well as the inbox in the lefthand column. But the blue dot remains on the conversation thread.

"Camera roll" photo thumbnail--doesn't change when delete photo

I took a, uh, revealing photo and, as normal, it showed up as the thumbnail photo for the "Camera roll" album in my iPhone.
However, after I deleted the photo, I expected it to be replaced with another photo as the thumbnail for the "Camera roll" album.
Unfortunately, it's not.
Luckily, I caught it before anyone saw.
I supposed I could take another dummy photo to replace it, but this should be fixed.

I'm sorry, but the fact that you took a potentially embarrassing picture does not mean that anything needs to be fixed.
Just take another pic and that thumbnail will be replaced.

The Icon of the Downloads Stack @ Dock changes when I put anything inside.

I have a problem, on my new iMac, I'm a happy new user of Mac =)
By my mistake I throw to the trash the Download shortcut of the Dock (the default icon of the famous Stacks).
I went to the Finder to my home folder and took the Download folder and put it again on the Dock, and everything was ok with the icon with the arrow.
The problem is that from now when I put a file or anything inside the Download folder, the icon of de Dock changes to the icon of the file that I've put inside.
This only happens on the icon on the Dock of the Download foder, the icons of the Applications and Documents on the Dock doesn´t change when you put anything inside.
Any solution?
