I have an app called Astrogold that crashes when I run one function, but no one else I know with the same app experiences the crash. The app writes several different reports, and gives the option of sending them as PDF files. All the other reports generate fine, but one of them....and that one crashes the app while it is trying to generate the report.
Note: it only crashes the display. If I double click the home button I see the app itself is still running.
I checked my Diagnostics & Usage data, and noticed that every time the app crashes a LowMemory report is created. I looked at the LowMemory report and see that the Largest process is Astrogold. But I don't see any reports with the name of the app itself.
I have an iPhone 5c, and according to iTunes I have 2.25 GB Free.
Below is the actual LowMemory report. Can anyone make any suggestions?

This is the only thing I had not done before I posted my initial request for help. I will work on that....it's a last resort I was hoping not to do, but it sounds like I've already done everything else.
Thank you. -
Slow Response Sun ONE 6.1 SP3 Win 2003
My Sun ONE web server is processing my JSP pages very quickly when serving one session at a time. However when there are 4 or more active sessions, it slows right down. Response time goes from 2 seconds (1 active session) to 60 seconds (multiple active sessions) for a single JSP page. I've been running the performance monitor to see if I can notice anything, but nothing seems to stand out. I have tried manipulating the Keep Alive settings and the Performance settings within the Magnus Editor but there hasn't been a noticable improvement.
I've recently upgraded to SP4 to see if this solved my problem, but there was no imporvement.
This server is an HP DL380 with dual 2.8GHz Xeon processors & 2 Gigs of RAM. There is a lot of available disk space. I'm running Windows 2003 and it's up to date with all the latest patches.
Anyone have any ideas or experienced this before?
I've attached the output from my performance monitor:

Thanks...The JSP's are simply Hello World JSP's (however I created these type of JSP's for testing and they do respond slowly as well when these are multiple sessions).
These JSP functioned fine on iPlanet 6.0 SP1 (JDK 1.2.2) without any slow response on Win2K and inferior hardware. -
Sun One Search Engine Integration with the Fatwire Content Server
Hello everyone,
I am presently using Fatwire(Divine) Content Server. I have uploaded certain documents using Fatwire flex attributes(metadata). I want to use portal search engine for implementing Full Text Search of uploaded documents. how can i map metadata(attribute) of fatwire/divine content server with the portal server search engine metadata.
I hope someone might have tried it earlier while integrating content server with the portal. please give me some suggestions in this regard.
thanku
jenniHi,
I don't know about the metadata mapping,
but you can definitely index the FatWire local
data directory with the search engine.
Just specify "file:///.../<fatwiredir>" as starting point for your search robot.
Cheers,
Alex :-)

Weblogic 5.1 sp3 with Apache or Stronghold on Solaris 2,7
Hi All,
We are planning to use Apache or Stronghold(most probably Stronghold as it
supports SSL which I was told Apache does not support) and WebLogic 5.1 sp
3. Has anyone used this combination before if so we would like to know if
you have faced any integration issues with this ? If you do what kind of
integration issues were they ? Just connection related or scalability
related ? Has anyone used WebLogic built-in webservevr in production
environment ? How does it scale up ?
Thanks
PrasadWould you please let me know when exactly(date) the sp4 was released
Thanks,
Ravi.

Checkout the 510 service pack 4. It has these binaries:
1. mod_wl.so for standard Apache (non EAPI) installations
2. mod_wl_ssl.so for Apache + SSL/EAPI installations(Stronghold, modssl etc)
3. mod_wl_ssl_raven.so for Apache + Raven installations
mod_wl_ssl_raven.so was required because Raven applies frontpage patches which
makes it incompatible with mod_wl_ssl.so

Apache supports SSL with two implementations
1. http://www.apache-ssl.org/
2. Apache with OpenSSL (mod_ssl)
On Solaris there are no problems integrating weblogic and Apache.
I would not recommend using the weblogic web server, the performance of image
streaming and serving static webpages is not the greatest - apache will do a
much better job for you.
Weblogic also has a plug in for apache on Solaris that supports fail over. ie.
if one of your weblogic server goes down then apache can reconnect to another
one

NetBeans With J2EE versus Sun One Studio Enterprise
What is the difference between NetBeans with J2EE and Sun One Studio Enterprise?
Which of the two would be more appropriate to use for creating GUI applications? Which one would be more appropriate for an EJB based web application?Sun One Studio is Netbeans with additional "enterprise" functionality. As thing now stand, S1S is 1-2 releases behind NB, due to the time required to add the additional functionality. The added stuff is useful for large systems, and Sun supports S1S - but not NB.
Depending on your specific requirements, either one might do the job.
Both are now free, and it appears that they will stay that way.
And both can use Application Server and Tomcat (or JBoss, etc in the the case of NB 5), and both work with J2EE. -
How to create Roles along with Entitlements in Sun One Directory Server?
i need to create roles in sun one directory server along with entitlements
please help me in this regardHi Logeshr,
Is the issue with deploying the webjobsever resolved ? If yes, could you share the work around so that it can help others who has similar issues.
Most possible causes for the issue could be Problems with Problems with Parallel build using MSBuild or
HeatDirectory failure on TFS with MSBUILD error MSB4166: Child node “3” exited prematurely
However, as you said it works fine in Visual studio , ensure your CI server has all of the latest updates to MS Build. If you're not current, you'll get a build error when .targets file processes at the end of the buildsequence.

Installation of Sun ONE Studio 5 SE 60 days trial
It's supposed that a standard installation includes Sun ONE Studio and Sun ONE Application Server 7 with PointBase.
I installed twice, in both installations the IDE works fine. But despite the installation completes without any error message neither Sun ONE Application Server 7 nor PointBase are installed.
My OS is Windows XP.
Could someone help me to find why this happens?
Thanks!!!I read now the log generated during the installation. It shows a lot of error lines. But I'm not able to know the cause of the problem. The IDE is installed OK, but there is not any evidence of PointBase and Sun One Server installation.
It follows the log file content:

We are currently working on Sun One Webserver 6.0 with Chilisoft 3.6.2
Now with the new version 6.1 is there ...the question is can we simply upgrade to the new version or do we need to reinstall and reconfigure all the websites with the new version 6.1
Also now that new version of webserver 6.1 has the ASP feature bundled with it ...do we still require Chilisoft?
Please answer my queries ...by replying at the following email id : [email protected]
thanks!You'll have to use S1ASP 4.0.1 (not 4.0) to work with S1WS 6.1.
Downloads are available here at:
ftp://ftp.chilisoft.com
There's no licensing requirement with S1WS 6.1 for S1ASP.
Make sure the previous version of S1ASP is uninstalled prior to installing the new version of S1ASP to S1WS 6.1 -
Java sun one commmunity edition
Hi-
I am looking for a cheap windows IDE that has GUI and
database capability. Sun one seems to contain these things as I read
through the features. One IDE I played with a little (years ago) was
Delphi. Does sun one community edition come with a toolbar for
draging and dropping pre-built items like a database grid, check boxes,
radio buttons, combo boxes, push buttons etc.?? Does it come with
predefined events like form open & close or for database before post, on delete,
after post etc. I know that is lots to ask for something that is free which
brings me to a final question. If I use this tool and profit from using it am
I violating a license agreement? I have 2 semesters C++ programming at
college and cant find a cheap tool in C++ for windows (widely used).
Borland and Microsoft are both expensive for C++ GUI.
thanks for your help

I will move to new to java.

Hi again, I have a problem with my Portal.
I have already installed the Portal Server 6.
The sample portal is up and it's working good, but I cant edit the content because I couldnt found the tool for modify the sample portal.
My Portal Server is running on Solaris 9.
Help me! I really new in this (Sun ONE).Hi,
The problem with integration of struts based
applications is usually the project funding :-)
There is no generic struts provider, only some
custom build pieces...
I guess that is the reason, why "zero effort" proxy
of a struts application via IFrame channel is the
most implemented integration.
Cheers,
Alex :-) -
Sun ONE Web Server & Remote User field
Hi,
I look for a tip to my Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 SP2 configuration.
I have:
- OS: Sun Solaris 8
- Apache 1.3 (listen port :80)
- Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 SP2 (listen port :81)
- Weblogic 8.1 SP4 (listen port :8001)
The 3 applications are in the same server.
My first configuration works:
- Apache works with basic authentification by password file (generate with htpasswd) and communicates with Weblogic
- Weblogic listens http requests and work with the remote user id (use method HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser())
My second configuration doesn't work:
- Apache works with basic authentification by password file (generate with htpasswd) + reverse proxy mode (use VirtuaHost) and communicates with Sun ONE Web Server
- Sun ONE Web Server works with no authentification mode and communicates with Weblogic
- Weblogic listens http requests and works with the remote user id (use method HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser())
The HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser() returns null in my second configuration.
How I can configure my Sun ONE Web Server to foward the remote user id ?
Thank you.
Christophe.Can you send your obj.conf?
I do not have a 6.1 Web Server installed, by guess work try
NameTrans fn="redirect" from="/index.html" url="/"
Also remove find-index or any such SAFs if you have in your obj.conf
PathCheck fn="find-index" index-names="index.html,home.html,index.jsp"Why do you need this? -
Sun Portal Server 6 compatibility with Web Server 6.1 SP - 8
Hi,
Our client is running on Sun One Portal Server Version 6.0, which is deployed on Sun One Web Server ver 6.0, there is a request from the hosting provider to upgrade the web container to Web Server 6.1 SP8. My question is Is Sun One Portal 6.0 (with AM 5.1 and DS 5.1 SP4) capable of / compatible with Web Server 6.1 SP - 8 ?
Do you see any issues with going ahead with the upgrade?
Thanks much for all your responses! We upgraded our Sun Webserver to SP8 and had no issues. We are running
- Portal 6.2
- IS 6.1
- DS 5.1 -
Reg: sun one directory server 5.2 rreplication
Hi,
I have two sun one directory servers(5.2 sp4) on two different solaris machines.
There is replication setup between them.
Now I see some nodes are not getting updated data from the master node to the consumer node.
when i looked into the log file, I see following message in error file.
[12/Mar/2010:15:41:50 +0000] - WARNING<10307> - Replication - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - Configuration warning Tombstone purging internal search is unin
dexed in replica dc=abc,dc=com
[12/Mar/2010:15:53:38 +0000] - ERROR<8320> - Repl. Transport - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - [S] End Failed with response: Consumer acks are missing (825)
if any one has come across this issue, please let me know how to solve this.
Thanks & Regards
Venu Gopal MaggidiYou should upgrade to 5.2 p6 to benefit from some optimizations that will make the tombstone entries search faster.
Check this document: http://docs.sun.com/source/820-3003/index.html
... and especially problem #6175472 .
If you just have a few "Consumer acks are missing (825)" error messages, you can safely ignore them as it just a warning
in the replication protocol due to a slow network or machine. In your case, one of the server at least is slow because it has to
perform an unindexed search. Upgrading to v 5.2p6 will enable you to create the required indexes and matching rules so you
don't have any more unindexed search ...
