Support desk configuration from portal

Hi all
is anybody configured sending message from support desk in portal to solution manager ?
i followed this link

i am getting 102 jco exeption error but i havent created any jco connection between potal and solution manager .
anybody knows here how the data was transmitted from portal to solution manager.
if possible can somebody points me to some configuration document to do so

The actual problem is with the firewall and after unblocking the firewall now i could able to test my system succesfully in portal landscape but still i could not able to send message from portal to solution manager as it is taking too long time and hanging at the end of transaction.
what could be the reason
any idea?

    3. Missing authorizations for message creation (correct: roles copied from SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE and SAP_SOL_SERVTRANS_CREATE or SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE)
    I am having SAP_ALL authorization in Satellite system. Is these roles to be assigned in Sol Man also?
    4. incorrect action profile assigned for the message type SLF1 (correct: SMSD_ABA_MLDG_SERVICEVORGANG or SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO)
    For SLF1, i have assigned the action profile :SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO. But inside this action profile, i have changed the values like PROCESS_TYPE to "ZLFN" & PARTNER_FCT_CREATOR to "ZLFN0002".
    5. Number ranges are not assigned correctly
    Can you explain this? For SLF1  & ZLFN , i have maintained "Internal" number ranges.
    6. The logical system is not defined
    Logical system for Sol Man & Satellite system  is created.

    I am trying to create a web message from the web.
    I am trying the following link:

    I get a login screen into the web application server(webas). when i enter a valid user of the webas, it fails with the folowing message.
    Logon failed
    What has happened?

  • Solution Manager : Support Desk Automation in Portal : GP or ABAPworkflow ?

    We want to autoamte the Support Desk.
    Currently One Person is needed to handle support desk.
    - when a request mail comes to support , he(the person who handles support desk) has to create a support desk message, and set the status
    -For each reply mail also , he has to update the support desk messge.
    So we want to automize the support desk through portal.
    -For creating a message, a webdynpro iView will be created.
    _ For each user when he logs into the portal, he can view the messages pending with him, and he can act on it.
    - For each such action , RFC's will be called to update the solution manager database.
    But we are confused about..which workflow should be used? ABAP workflow or GP workflow? Which will perform better?
    Can anybody help me to reach a decision?

  • Service Desk Message from Portal

    I enabled the iView for the support message to be sent from my portal.  However, it does not show in the iBase.  My SMSY is updated and shows the Java system components.  How do I get the service desk to see the portal.  I am running EP 7 with NW 2004s backend.  Solution Manager is 7 EHP1.
    Note: There is no installation number or system name showing in portal system info.  I suspect this is the issue. 
    Does anyone have ideas?

    If u have correctly defined ur EP in SMSY (via productive SLD transfer), plz generate the RFC first.
    Secondly, select the main instance of the product in SMSY if the definition in SLD isnt correct.
    Finally, all u have to do is the transfer from SMSY to IBASE. This is done in Trx DSWP --> menu Edit --> Initial Data transfer for IBase  (now ur EP is automatically created in IBase)

    Iu2019m configuring  Service Desk for internal use in my solution manager 7 ehp1.
    I can send support message from satellite system but the solution manager canu2019t assign automatically  the support team and message processor.
    I have execute the steps in note 616946 but the assignment donu2019t work fine. There are any activity to implement automatically assignment  of message to support team?

    Hello giovanni,
    There are three main things that you have to do here:
    1. Define support teams like BC team
    2. Make changes to SPRO for SLFN0001 partner determintaion
    3. To determine the support team, you must define corresponding organizational units and assign business partners in the organizational model.
    Have u done this?
    Also have u generated the business partners before that?
    Also make sure that the user id of the person who creates the support message and the user if'd of the people who will be resolving the issues must exists in solution manager system

    I have few queries on solution manager support desk functionality.
    1.Is this the only way to create support desk message HELP-CREATE support desk Message from each individual system??
    2.In our scenario,when we are creating the message we would like to assign component( it should be project specific component,not SAP specific component)...How to acieve this??
    3.We have a requirement where the message has lot of status and fields and depending on the message processor I would like to control which status or field user should be able to view and work on...how to achieve this??
    4.Need the way to send a message to the processor,as soon as his name appear as message processor.
    5.I want to track all the persons involved in the message processing,how can I do this??
    6.I want to use a different transaction type not the standard SLFN,so what configurations are needed??When I create a message it should automatically take properties of transaction type of newly created one??

    Yesterday I search the internet for a note, but I didn't find one. So I'am happy now.
    But now the next problem occurs. My next issue is about the SLD. The system cannot get the data from the satellites. I'am not sure, but I think our SLD isn't perfectly configuried. Do you have an "How To" or something like that?

  • Set sap Component mandatory while creating the support desk message

       When create the support desk message from any application sysytem, the sap component get selected automatically but when we create the suppport desk message from the Easy Access the component wiil be blank, so some user create the support message without giving the component. So we want to make the component as mandatory while createing the support desk message from application system and also  set mandatory  when we create support message in solman.can anybody help me in setting component mandatory.

    a better solution may be to create a custom partner function called Main Message Processor and assign it to SLFN. I'm not sure how to flag one as the main any other way.

    Hello everybody,
    is it possible to integrate the SolMan's Support Desk into the Netweaver Portal?
    If yes, how ? I'd like to integrate the surface and in this way I would need some comments on how to integrate available iviews and how to configure the SSO. I don't want to use the SAP GUI elements. Is there a way to solve it?
    Could someone give some advise?

    We are getting following error in Mozilla Firefox 37.0.1 & 37.0.2 versions, when we tried to access HR PIA or CS PIA, But we are able to get the PORTAL PIA login and able to log in to Portal PIA and If we access CS or HR pages from Portal we are getting the same error below, It was working fine with until Mozilla Firefox 36.0.4 version.

    My first guess would be because Firefox disabled insecure TLS fallback in 37.
    We have disabled insecure TLS version fallback. If a secure site isn’t working, you can try setting the “security.tls.version.fallback-limit” preference in about:config to 1 and see if it works then.
    Weblogic out of the box does not use the newest protocols and is version intolerant.  I would need detailed config info to say for sure why PORTAL might still be working.  Are they running different Java versions for Weblogic?  Is there a mix of Certicom and JSSE being used for SSL?  Check out this analysis for more details.

    I want to configure my R3 system, so that when I create a support Message it is reflected in Solution Manager.
    I have done the following steps, in R3 system
    1) Use transaction SM30 and modify BCOS_CUST table.
    Entries in this table are
    Col 1: OSS_MSG
    Col 2: W
    Col 3: SOLUTION_MANAGER (Not sure, what is the right entry for this column)
    Col 4: CUST620
    Col 5: 1.0
    I am confused over the entry for Col 3:
    In some postings I have seen that the value is SM_<sysid>CLNT<client>_TRUSTED, so assuming my Solution Manager SID is SL3 and Client is 100, the value for Col3 must be
    SM_SL3_CLNT100_TRUSTED
    Is the above assumption right?
    2) Is it necessary to make entries for RFC destination in my R3 system using transaction SM59.
    Also while creating the RFC Connection using transaction SM59 in the R3 system, it asks about the type of connection.
    Which type of the connection, should be chosed.
    Type :: Short text
    I :: Connection to application server with same database
    3 :: Connection to R/3 System
    2 :: Connection to R/2 System
    T :: Start an external program via TCP/IP
    L :: Reference entry (refers to another destination)
    S :: Start an external program via SNA or APPC
    X :: RFC via special ABAP/4 driver routines

    Hi,
    The third one is RFC destination which is a way of linking two systems providing there ip and login credentials.
    When you create RFC in sm59 tcode you have to provide ip address and login credentials and a name,This name you have to provide in se11 bcos_cust table third field.
    You have to create an R/3 or abap connection.check this for creating rfc connection.

    in short first of all go to tcode sm59 create a r/3 connection to your server and provide a name to it.
    secondly go to bcos_cust table and provide this name in the third field.

       In CRM_DNO_MONITOR tcode, i want to know from where support desk message number picking from(from which table).i want where this support desk message number(number range) is maintained in SPRO.
    steps i'm working out:
       I'm executing CRN_DNO_MONITOR tcode with transaction number, after executing i double click on the details where it will display the details. Going to <b>business transaction</b> and click on create where it will display create business transaction options. Select <b>Support Desk Message</b> and click on create.
    In the very next screen, it will display the support desk message number. I want to know from where this support desk message number is picking(table name or settings in spro).

    Hey pavan,
    The tcode for number range maintancance is crmc_nr_ra_service.
    Every number range has some number like 01, 02 03 assigned to it..
    TO find out which number range your transaction type is using go to : Spro->Customer relationship managemnt->transaction type-> Selct the desired transac tion type and click on details:::
    There you can find the number range assignment in field internal number range...
