Support of Zimbra Mobile Web Client

We like the Zimbra Web Client as it contains the company data (admittedly with some limits). With the increasing advent of mobile users: are there any plans for Beehive to support the [Zimbra Mobile Web Client|http://www.zimbra.com/products/zimbra_mobile.html]?

Enhancement Request 11890869 has been created on our behalf. Existing beehive customers are invited to second this ER.

    HI,
Try to update the window 7 with window 7 SP1.
I have win 7 professional edition and there is no problem to install SQL 2012.
You can't use window 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium for SAP B1. SAP B1 doesn't support them

  • Beehive enhancement of the day: furthering the Zimbra Web Client

With the decision to leverage Zimbra as Web frontend for its collab server, Oracle has surely provided a powerful web client to all of its Beehive customers.
To my knowledgs, product management has no current plans to further enhance the web client, nor to deploy future versions of Zimbra on top of Beehive.
There are quite a few enhancement requests pending for Zimbra. Here are my favourite ones:
ER 12570523: NEED OPTION TO SELECT TEAM WORKSPACE CONTACTS FROM NEW EMAIL COMPOSE WINDOW
ER 8817293: UNABLE TO MOVE A PERSONAL WORKSPACE FOLDER INTO A TEAM WORKSPACE LINK IN ZIMBRA
ER 10634736: SUPPORT FOR MOVING FOLDERS BETWEEN PERSONAL WORKSPACE AND TEAM WORKSPACE
ER 9901377: ZIMBRA SEARCH IN LINKED FOLDER IS NEEDED AS SUPPORTED FEATURE
ER 11890869: SUPPORT OF ZIMBRA MOBILE WEB CLIENT
If you agree that Oracle should revise its decision not to further develop the Zimbra web client, please second these enhancement requests through Oracle support.
    Thanks, Tom

yesterday I used Beehive Zimbra with Android mobile for the 1st time (our policy does not allow external IMAP),

  • Diff. between Mobile Web And Dev. Web Client

    Hi,
I have been trying to find the difference between Siebel Mobile Web Client and Siebel Developer Web Client for quiet some time now. As per my understanding below is the difference between the two:
Siebel Mobile Web Client uses the Locally stored siebel executable and it accesses the locally stored dbf. However with the Siebel Developer Web Client (also uses the same executable as Mobile web client) you can connect to the server database.
By default when you launch the Siebel Mobile Web Client you get to choose from Sample and Local dbf. But with the Siebel Developer Web Client you get to choose from Sample, Local and the Server.
Please let me know if my understanding is correct and of anyother differences if anybody is aware off.
    Thank you :-)

How to run the Zimbra Web Interface? .
Where is the Zimbra Web Client Interface?
Is neccessary to download a Zimbra Web Client Interface from the www.zimbra.com site?

    Hello
No need to download the Zimbra web interface from Zimbra.com
Run Beehive runInstaller on a new Oracle Home (dedicated for your Zimbra installation ) and choose the latest option at the starting page - Zimbra Installation for Beehive
Zimbra is an OC4J application, running on your HTTP port ( 7777 or 7778 by default)
The URL to access Zimbra once installed is http://yourservername.domainname:port/zimbra

  • IOS4,  apple-mobile-web-app-capable and client certificates

IOS4 (4.0 and 4.0.1) seems to have broken apple-mobile-web-app-capable. I have a webbapplication using client certificates to authenticate the user. This worked flawless on IOS3.x. However, after having upgraded my iPhone to IOS4, the application fails when started from the springboard with an error message telling a client certificate is required (I have one installed). When I start the application from within Safari it works OK. I tracked the error down to the following line in the HTML code:
    <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" />
When I remove this line, the application works again flawless when started from the springboard. However the native look and feel are gone. As soon as I add this line to the HTML, the application works when started from Safari, but fails when started from the springboard.
Does anyone have a glue or is this a bug on the apple-mobile-web-app-capable function of IOS4?

I have also experienced this problem on iOS 4.1. I want to authenticate access to a web-app using SSL client certificates but I get an error "Cannot Open ... requires a client certificate" when launching the app from the home screen. Very annoying!
Navigating to the page in Safafi prompts the user to choose which certificate to use and then loads the page successfully. Just as a side question, is there anyway to automatically associate a client certificate with a web site so that the user is never prompted to choose a certificate when accessing the site? I want an authentication process that is transparent to the user.

  • Despite full web support, by default my browser goes to mobile web pages

for example, mlb.com. it sends me straight to the scaled down mobile web page for MLB.com.
Is there a way to prevent this?

That website, like Apple does on theirs, is keying off the word "iPhone" in the Safari web browser User Agent header.
They're obviously worried about the amount of data and the user experience, but you should write them and ask for a link that won't drop into the small version.
Or it's possible that there's a free web proxy out there that strips that header (or allows you to pretend to be IE or Firefox or something). Search on "web proxy service".

  • Creating mobile web dynpro application which customized theme

    Hi guys,
I have created a mobile web dynpro application and a theme with Theme Editor. Then I have appended this theme with the sap-cssurl parameter to my application.
    <b>my_application? sap-cssurl=http://host:port/webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tcwddispwda/global/SSR/themes/MyTheme</b>
It works well in my first testing on my laptop.
In order to test it on my mobile device I have also appended sap-wd-client parameter to my application. Now my URL looks like
    <b>my_application? sap-cssurl=http://host:port/webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tcwddispwda/global/SSR/themes/MyTheme&sap-wd-client=PieClient</b>
It doesn’t work. My application layout looks as if I don’t use the theme. Did somebody have the same problem and can help me by finding a solution.
    Thanks for your answers.
    Marita

    Hi Marita,
Mobile Web Dynpro supports several handheld mobile devices. I guess yours is a Pocket PC. Except the newest Pocket PC 2003, all the other versions don't have CSS support. Therefore the current Pocket PC client "PieClient" of Web Dynpro lacks the ability for customized themes. On the other hand, themes are supported for more advanced devices, such as Nokia Communicator 9500/9300.

How are you going to access your company's email?
Not sure I understand the question, but it will be either through Lotus Notes on my laptop or through the BlackBerry.  The IT folks at my company notified me that I will need to get the Business Enterprise service from the provider. You say that your phone will need to be set up by your company IT folks and they have said that you will need the Business Enterprise service. Why are you asking to find another way if your IT folks won't set up your phone without it?
You are able to set up multiple email accounts on a cellphone.
My company's e-mail does not support Android, which is the OS on my current phone.Your company's email doesn't have to support Android. Android is not an email protocol. Android uses pop and imap which are not specific to android, but are cross platform.
It seems that the cheapest way would be to see if you can access it on your personal phone via an email client without making any changes to your plan.

  • FunctionKey & BarCodeReader API in Mobile Web Dynpro

    Folks,
I am developing a few applications using Mobile Web Dynpro (Java), for PSION TEKNOLOGIK 7535. (Windows CE 5.0 with IE 6.0 for CE)
I have to use the API's of the Mobile Add-On Library, namely the FunctionKey API and the BarCodeReader API.
So the SAP Note says that these are supported only for Symbol and Intermec device.
I would like to know what options I have for this implementation
Can i use a Mobile WebDynpro Client? ( will these API's work if I use the WebDynpro client instead of IE?)
Can I use any other browsers instead of IE and use the above mentioned API's?
Are there any third party software's that support these functionality?
    Thanks,
    Balaji

    Hi Balaji,
Unfortunately the only option you have is to use either a symbol or an Intermec device. Symbol and Itermec both have a special browser with which you can funtion keys or Barcode Reader.
I think "Mobile WebDynpro Client" you talk about is the offline client but the FunctionKey and the BarcodeReader will work with the online version only.
I dont know of any workaround for this.

  • Mobile web app stopped working on iPhone 6

    Hi All,
I have a mobile web site that works really well on iPhone 5, iPhone 5s (both running iOS 8) and also on my iPad (iOS 8 as well).  However, the 'login' button does not work on the iPhone 6 (e.g. you click it and nothing happens).  That exact same website works on the other platforms. This doesn't make sense to me because they are all iOS 8?
The website is written in AngularJS using BootStrap.  I know there are some updates to the webview on iOS but surely it is the same across all platforms?
On a side note, the website does work on an iPhone 6 emulator via Browser Stack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gaj

I debugged this on the actual iPhone 6 that was having the problem and I saw that it was failing when the token returned by the server was being stored in session storage.
I called up Apple support and spent a fair bit of time on the phone with them. The page was working on other iPhone 6 devices but not this one. After trying a few different settings and confirming it was working on Chrome, the fantastic Apple support person asked me to see if the page was set to 'private'.
On the bottom right of the safari browser, you click an icon and you can set individual websites to 'private'. Unchecking this made the website work and I could store the token in session storage. It appears that my client accidentally set the website to 'private' and this was causing the issue.
Hopefully this will save someone else some time with a similar issue.  Full credit to Apple support who spent over an hour to resolve this issue.

  • Difference between mobile web dynpro and simple web dynpro application

    Hi Everyone,
Can anyone pls let me know what's the difference b/w mobile web dynpro application and an offline or simple web dynpro application.
    Thank U!!
    Ravi Aswani

    Hi ,
    Mobile WebDynpro
The SAP Web Application Server allows direct online access to Web Dynpro applications using mobile devices. As part of the SAP Web Application Server, Web Dynpro provides a development and runtime environment with which you can quickly and simply create professional user interfaces for desktop PCs or for mobile devices. An appropriate infrastructure and renderer classes are provided for developing mobile Web Dynpro applications for Pocket PCs as well as for BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds and Nokia Series 80 devices.

    WebDynpro Java
Web Dynpro is a client-independent programming model of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform for developing user interfaces for professional business applications. It is based on the model view controller paradim which ensures that the business logic is separated from the presentation logic. This architecture is visible in the Web Dynpro perspective of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS).
Web Dynpro helps you with the development of Web applications by:
    ·        Ensuring platform-independence with the meta model approach
    ·        Minimizing the implementation effort through declarative programming
    ·        Supporting a structured design process by applying the model view controller paradigm
    ·        Providing reuse and better maintainability by using components
    ·        Providing graphical support with tools in the Web Dynpro perspective
    ·        Providing the SAP NetWeaver Java Development Infrastructure (NWDI) which supports team work with different services such as source code versioning and the Central Build Service.

  • Multiple convergence web client sessions

Is it possible to configure convergence so that it allows a user to log into multiple web client sessions in different windows/tabs at the same time? The default behavior seems to be that if you log in another window, it breaks the other web client session with the following error: "Unauthorized request for : Mail Service : Valid token is required "

    jessethompson wrote:
I suspected that this may be your use-case. I used to run the central email/calendar/IM services at Monash University in Australia so I understand the needs of EDU's all-to-well. We're creating a web-survey to send to our departmental mail administrators. The survey should gauge how prevalent and important this feature is. I'll share the results. That would be very useful.
This same issue (co-existence of role accounts/user accounts) occurred during the Netscape Mail days where you couldn't have multiple IMAP accounts defined in a given profile. Every time you wanted to "act" as a role you would need to log-out of Netscape Mail and log in as a different profile.
When Mozilla Thunderbird provided multiple IMAP account access/multiple sender identities this issue went away.Evolution. Improvement. Sometimes I feel that the process of moving rich applications to the web has led to a lot of devolution. It does seem like we (not just Sun but companies in general) are constantly re-inventing the wheel.
Perhaps these people can stick with using IMAP clients. The survey will attempt to figure that out.I am firmly in the best-tool-for-the-job camp. Heavy IMAP clients, rich-web interfaces, mobile-low-bandwidth clients all have their part to play.
For Convergence, shared IMAP folders, shared address-books, shared calendars and multiple sender identities seems to me the best path forward. This would allow a user to login once and access/maintain the various role account data. It also provides improved user-access granularity -- you don't need to provide role account passwords to everybody who may need to access some part of the data. We've always disabled shared IMAP folders since they never worked across mail stores. We're a little worried about it being a maintenance and support hassle, but we will consider enabling the feature now that it will supposedly work across mail stores in v7.Shared IMAP folder functionality definitely works in MS7.0. Ensure that you are patched up to the latest MS7.0 revision (patch -04 and above) before deploying this functionality to avoid a number of IMAP cross-server shared-folder specific issues that cropped up in early MS7.0 days.
Shared IMAP folders/address-books and multiple sender identities are all on the roadmap for future revisions of Convergence.Multiple sender identities would be a very nice feature indeed.RFE #6783797 - "Support of Multiple Sender Identities & Sender Identity Options in convergence"

  • Not able to access the Oracle I/PM web client.

I have started the Administration server and the Oracle I/PM Managed Server. Now I'm trying to access the Oracle I/PM web client at this URL: http://hostname:16000/imaging. But when I hit this URL, the following error comes up:

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

    Hi Srinath,
I have checked that as well, it is showing the IPM_server in running mode.
Also it doesn't show any deployment failure in the command line. Here is what it shows:
