SVG Animation for business logo

We're trying to animate our logo using SVG (found here http://www.hue-design.co.uk)
We have a vector version of the logo created using Illustrator, is it possible to use any Adobe product to animate this? (ie drawing it from scratch)
I've found it possible to use snap.svg to animate simple shapes, but it'd be very tedious for something like this.

There's Edge, of course, if you're a CC customer.

    I have written a simple SVG animation for my website, http://www.begeistert.org/, Firefox 4 - 8 start playing the animation but then stop. There is no error message and the SVG validates. All other SVG capable browsers don't have any problems. So, is the problem with my image or Firefox?

    I have a problem with SVG gradient after today's FF update. Gradient does not fill the entire DIV, but just a beginning of it.
    IE9 and Chrome works perfectly.

    How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?

    For those who wish to upload and use a picture in your ALV abap reports.
    Steps for uploading Logo :-:
    1. Goto the transaction OAER
    2. Enter the class name as 'PICTURES'
    3. Enter the class type as 'OT'
    4. Enter the object key as the name of the logo you wish to give
    5. Execute
    6. Then in the new screen select Standard doc. types in bottom window
    Click on the Screen icon
    Now, it will ask for the file path where you have to upload the logo
    7. Now you can use this logo in REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE
    or
    Import Logo and Background Picture for Reporting
    In this step, you can import a customer-specific logo and a background picture into the R/3 System. These will be displayed in the header area of reports in HR Funds and Position Management.
    From the SPRO:
    HR Funds and Position Management --> Dialog Control --> Customize Reporting Interface --> Import Logo and Background Picture for Reporting.
    Activities
    1. Enter the Name of your logo/background picture as an object key in the initial screen.
    2. Make sure that the class name is PICTURES, and the class type is OT.
    3. Choose Execute.
    4. Double-click the document type Picture on the Create tab page. A dialog box will appear in which you can enter the path in which the logo/background picture can be found.
    5. Enter the path and choose Open. The logo will be uploaded into the current R/3 System. If the logo/background picture is to be transported into other systems as well, choose Transport.
    6. Return to the initial screen and repeat the procedure after having entered the Name of your background picture as an object key.
    Please note that the logo/background picture can only be displayed in ALV-based reports with an HTML header. Manually programmed reports such as business distribution plans are not based on the ALV.
    If you have selected several initial objects, ALV-based reports in HR Funds and Position Management will automatically use a hiearchical-sequential display. A logo is not displayed here either. Note also that the logo cannot be printed (see print preview in program).
    Make sure that the logo does not exceed a height of 100 pixels because it would mean that the header of the report will be scrollable.

On windows movie maker you could just select "fit to music" but this program isnt as easy to figure out! Any help?

    Double-click on the still image in the project timeline to open the Inspector. In the Inspector, adjust the duration by typing in a new duration to match the length of your music. I think the limit for a still image is 10 minutes. If you need more than this, simply drag the image into the timeline again then adjust its duration. The two images will play seamlessly (no gap will be visible).

    You can achieve more precision when entering durations by changing a preference in the menu item iMovie Preferences. Check (tick) the preference for Show Time As HH:MM:SS:frames. This will enable you to enter the duration of stills down to the frame level, rather than full seconds (NTSC is 30 frames per second; PAL is 25 fps). When entering times, type a colon between each time segment, such as 2:50:15, which represents 2 minutes 50 seconds and 15 frames. For 5 seconds 20 frames you would enter 5:20 and so forth.
    Note that the music will only run to the length of the video in the timeline (in your case, the still images). So, after increasing the stills duration you will need to drag the end of the music track as far as required. The stills can be dragged inwards to reduce the duration if necessary.

    It was extremely nice news that you have added the SVG support to Safari 3.0. We would be more than happy to add Apple iPod and iPhone users to our community the fans of “The Spoon” animations. However, when testing my SVG animations with your Safari 3.0.1 for windows, I found following problems:
    1. As our file names are case sensitive, they do not load because Safari converts them lowercase;
    2. Loading the file from Internet will give me error “error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty”;
    3. When loading them as file from my computer, the animation does not start to play. Every object in appearing in the screen same time and wrong size. Do you support SVG AnimateMotion tag?

    Why did you put a button in the first place? What is its action?
    I am using Captivate for life presentations as well, and then I have sometimes staggered objects (text or others) that I want to appear when I'm clicking on a click box or a button. The action for that click box is then to Continue. Maybe you didn't create this file yourself and it was meant for presenting in that way? Check the action that is mentioned in the Actions accordion if you select that button or click box.
    When that first shape button (highlighted in yellow) is clicked playhead is released, because action is Continue, and the Image that is second from bottom up in the stack gets visible.
    If you don't use your button for anything, just select it and delete. If it has a goal, an action, tell me which one.

    Not automatically. I suggest the excellent iDraw app. With iDraw you could import your drawing and turn it into vector artwork.

    Hi , can someone please explain how to attach my business email header with business logo to every email I send. It is a htm file and I can do it via PC but I don't know how to do it with my mail on the mac.

    Is this something you want to embed into the email header, or make as the top line in the message body? Or would it be okay to attach it as a signature at the bottom.
    I don't think you can stick it into the message header to be displayed as an X-face. I think there used to be a 3rd-party add-on that would do that for Panther, but it no longer works (or never worked) for Tiger.
    Not certain about htmls, and not quite certain that this is what you would want, but there is another post here in this forum, dated today, that asked about inserting hyperlinks into email messages.
    If you wanted to insert this as the first line in your message, you could convert the html to gif or jpg and drag the resulting file into the message. At least in Mac's Mail.app, those would expand automagically at the receiver. Don't know whether Windows in general or other Mail programs, regardless of platform, would do that expansion automagically, though.
    You could do a similar thing if you would be okay with a "business card" attached as a signature to the email. Just go through the motions like you are going to create a new signature, but rather than type anything in the signature text box, just drag your jpg or gif file into the text box instead.
    Or suppose that none of the above is exactly what you want. You say you could do this on a PC so do it again on a PC and send it to you and retrieve your mail on your Mac in Mail.app. Then keep that message, essentially, as a template, and just ⇧⌘D (Mail > Message > Send again). That basically pulls that message up in a new window, you can re-edit it, re-address it, and send it on its way while retaining the original template that you mailed to yourself indefinitely.

    This could be very simple or very complicated and to some extent it depends on how you are ultimately going to use the logo. Is it just for yourself to print on documents or are you going to need to have a repro-friendly version for commercial printing, e.g. mono, spot-colour or cmyk?
    As a starting point what applications do you currently have installed - any that allow you to work with pen tools and paths? If you use Pages it has some limited drawing/illustrative capability.

  • Can Edge be used to control svg animation

    Hi there,
    I am looking for a way to control animated svgs. For example, if I have an svg that has an animated walk cycle, I want to be able to tell it to play, stop, or got to a specific point in the animation. It looked to me like Edge Animate cannot offer this level of control. The timeline control features seem to only be able to control css properties. Is this correct? Also, if so, does Adobe offer any other solution for controlling svgs. I am using Flash to create the svg files.

    I think EA process svg vectors like bitmap, because it uses less memory .. if you move a svg the svg must be 'repainted' each time.   • What is up with the Help and Support Section for Business Catalyst?

    It has been very difficult for my customers and myself to access the help and support section of the site for Business Catalyst issues as we are constantly diverted to non-related Abode issues. The portal for support on Business Catalyst issue needs to be ISOLATED from ADOBE's main support section. It is bad enough that there are so many issues to deal with, but to add all the issues for all the applications is simply impossible to decipher and discover a solution.
    Before the Adobe integration on the Cloud services it was much more simpler, wiith a much more efficient and cleaner layout, now every page looks like its generated by a bot that doesn't understand what I am looking for. Even the actual URL of the page is hidden so I can't even book mark it without opening the frame in a new window. My clients will not know how to do that.
    Simplify plesase!

  • Need help in finding a font for a logo

    I was looking for help in finding a font for my logo. I'm not a designer at all, so I'm calling on all the fine designers and folks on the Adobe site to help me out. All replies are, of course, appreciated and any suggestions/comments/ideas will be welcome.
    I'm designing a logo for my film company. I wanted to keep it simple but not boring either. I put together the first draft of the logo using Photoshop CS3 and used Trajan Pro for the film company words (Panthera Films) and used Futura for the slogan ("Inspiration through Imagination"). While I don't mind the fonts, it's simple but, alas, too boring. I love the panther image but need a dynamic font for "Panthera Films" and a complimenting font for the slogan. 
    Can anyone recommend a good combination of fonts to replace the Trajan Pro and Futura? As well, I want to give the logo a nice presence without it being too loud, bold or jumping off the page. As well, should the font for "Films" be the same as "Panthera" or can they be different?
    The image I attached is something I was thinking to use as a banner on a website.
    Any help would be appreciated too with this

    As I said, I like it too.
    You may consider making it a bit heavier, maybe bold, for readability at small sizes.
    It is hard to recommend a specific font because it should represent your company and what it stands for. Have you tried typing the name in a word processing application (Worst or something better) and then running through all the font you have? If not, that might give you a few new thoughts about the overall kind of font you feel is the right one. And then it is much easier to recommend something.

  • Not all fields for Business partner are exported

    I am exporting Business partner data from CRM to another system, through XIF. I get on target system XML file with Business partner data. But I have only standart fields. I can't get fields, which was created my company for own use.
    For example, for Business partner I have Business Agreement, but after export to XML, I have no Business agreement data in another system. But I have standart data, for example, Business partner Name, ID, ets.
    Anybody know what I can do to export all the fields for Business partner? Some transaction or somthing else? Where can I customize output XML with Business partner data?

    You have the right observation. There is no mandatory fields for BP. It means you can update any single field against CardCode. CardCode is the only mandatory field which is the only primary key must be unique.
