[svn] 978: More changes to Ant scripts.

Revision: 978<br />Author:   [email protected]<br />Date:     2008-03-27 17:54:17 -0700 (Thu, 27 Mar 2008)<br /><br />Log Message:<br />-----------<br />More changes to Ant scripts.<br /><br />1. They now use the <mxmlc> task (rather than <java>) to compile SWFs such as checkinapp.swf.<br /><br />2. I added comments to explain why the <taskdef> that loads <compc> and <mxmlc> from flexTasks.jar needs to be inside the <target> rather than simply in the <project>. (The reason is that our build process builds flexTasks.jar, so we can't load it until after certain targets have executed.)<br /><br />3. All build.xml files within the 'frameworks' directory are now consistent about the following:<br /><br />a. They define FLEX_HOME.<br />b. They load FLEX_HOME's build.properties file.<br />c. They refer to all files and directories as either ${basedir}/foo/bar (for things inside the subdirectory where the script lives) or ${FLEX_HOME}/foo/bar (for things outside that subdirectory).<br /><br />Modified Paths:<br />--------------<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/build.properties<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/airframework/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/flash-integration/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/flex/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/framework/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/haloclassic/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/rpc/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/utilities/build.xml<br />    flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/tests/checkinapp/build.xml

I just found the AppleScript documentation in /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Scripting/Documents/. But I don't think it's even accurate. Here's a very simple sample they give:
tell application "Adobe Photoshop CS5"
     filter current layer of the current document using lens blur with options {class:lens blur, radius:13}
end tell
If I enter this in AppleScript Editor and try to compile it, it selects the word "current" and tells me "Expected end of line but found identifier." It doesn't even recognize "filter" as a command. If I just change that 5 to a 4, it works fine in CS4.
Here's one way to run a JavaScript file from AppleScript:
tell application "Adobe Photoshop CS5" to open file "Path:to:file.jsx"
Of course there's no way to pass any arguments this way, so that greatly limits its usefulness. But perhaps this will be helpful to some people. I'm assuming the JavaScript stuff all works fine, as that seems to be their focus these days.
The really strange thing is that certain things seem to work fine in AppleScripts that are already compiled (using CS4). But if I try to re-save those scripts with CS5 installed, I get errors.

    More changes to get remote browser functionality working for MXUnit.
    Need to copy http client jars from trunk/lib to trunk/qa/lib as part of the build. The http client jars are used by MXUnit when the remote browser, browser factory is being used.
    Also need to copy xalan.jar from trunk/lib to trunk/qa/lib now as William recently made changes to MXUnit that added a dependency on xalan.jar.
    In mxunit/build.xml made the browserFactory class for the MXUnit task use a property called mxunitBrowserFactory so different browser factories can now be passed in.

    Ah, interesting. Here's what I get when I boot with the old GeForce 7300 plugged in.
    System Profiler shows no extensions with "ATI" in the name. I'm not sure if this is to be expected though. Does System Profiler -> Software -> Extensions display the kexts installed on the system, or only those that the kernel decided to load at boot time? If the latter, I guess I wouldn't expect to see them. If the former, then might there be some registration step I need to do to tell the system that the ATI kexts are present and able to be loaded?
    As for the presence of the extensions, if I look in /System/Library/Extensions, I find the following files when I do an 'ls -lF | grep ATI'...
    ATI1300Controller.kext
    ATI1600Controller.kext
    ATI1900Controller.kext
    ATI2400Controller.kext

    So lots of ATI-related goodies. The dates are all either Aug 2 or Aug 6, so I'm guessing they came with the Snow Leopard Graphics Update, which I think was released just after those dates.
    I'm getting ready to return the card and try another, but will hold off another day or two, since it still seems plausible that there might be a software issue lurking...
    Thanks again for your help,

  • More than one ANT Build-Script "build.xml" in a JDev Project?

    Hi,
    were using JDev 10.1.3.3 with our Projects in which i am trying to inject the code coverage tool "Cobertura".
    We want to handle Cobertura through ANT-Targets, so we have to set up an .XML-Buildscript.
    But we already have a Build.xml to cover our deployment needs.
    I don't want to put the cobertura-targets into our Build.xml - would be a mix of purpose to me...
    Instead of having one big .xml, i wanted to have "Build.xml" and "Cobertura.xml", but when generate the latter and put in the ANT-Project it isn't recognized as an ANT-Script, but as an ordinary XML.
    With new-->Ant-->buildfile i can only generate the "Build.xml".
    Is it possible to convert a regular XML into an Ant-Script, so that JDev would recognize them?!
    regards,
    Henning

    whoops...
    i was able to generate another buildscript with the standart dialog!

    To allow your vhost you should add /data/www or set empty value.

  • Error while running the ant script of fusion order demo -Infrastructure.jws

    Hi All,
    I was trying to run the store front application.
    As i was trying to run the scripts to create the tables, stored procedure, schemas etc, the execution of the ant script failed with the following error:
    The apache Ant log reads as follows:
    *[echo] USER_CONTEXT Package Created*
    compileImagesApp:
    *[javac] Compiling 3 source files to D:\11g\ADF-11g\FusionOrderDemo_R1PS1\Infrastructure\DBSchema\classes*

    I ignored the above error and when i tried to run the StoreFrontUI project, i was unable to see the images rendered on the User Interface.
    Can anybody help me as to why this would have happened?
    Is it not getting rendered because the ant script failed @ compileImagesApp? If so, what is the solution for the same?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vijay

    Hi,
    Even after commenting and uncommenting the path for the imageurl variable in the ImageLoaderServiceAMImpl.java, i am getting the following error when trying to build the schema from the MasterbuildScript Project:
    compileImagesApp:
    *[javac] Compiling 3 source files to D:\11g\adf-Handson\FOD_11\Infrastructure\DBSchema\classes*

    Total time: 59 seconds
    One more observation when i was changing the path in the ImageLoaderServiceAMImpl.java was that, there were lot many errors that were shown in the file:
    Following import statements were erroring out:
    import oracle.jbo.Row;
    import oracle.jbo.ViewObject;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.BlobDomain;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.DBSequence;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.Number;
    import oracle.jbo.server.ApplicationModuleImpl;

    Can you please provide some pointers on this as well?

  • Problem with Ant Script while deploying a BPEL Process

    Hi all,
    Im making use of Ant script to Deploy a BPEL process ...the bpel process simply invokes the credit rating service and returns the credit rating..credit rating service and the whole BPEL
    process are deployed in the default domain...now i made a new domain and making using of Ant scripts to deploy it to this Domain in the same local server ...i followed the steps
    from this blog http://blogs.oracle.com/rammenon/2007/07/deploying_bpel_process_to_mult.html now my problem is even though i mention a different Domain Name in
    ant- orabpel_dev.properties its always getting deployed to Default domain........can anyone Plzzz help me.
    Edited by: 0racler on Aug 15, 2009 12:09 PM

    in build.properties of the project -
    uncomment (remove the #) and change to the new domain
    # Change below if deploying in domain other than "default"
    #domain = default
    when you run deployProcess target - you should see which domain is used - based on the above variable.

  • How to change maintenance powershell script via GPO?

    Per suggestion reposted from here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/6eece9d6-a524-48aa-8e64-7554f0ec9b31/how-to-change-maintenance-powershell-script-via-gpo?forum=winserverGP
    Posted at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/desktop-shortcuts-to-items-on-network-drives/94eddb27-342b-40fc-9ad4-677ff4ee8ebe?page=9&tm=1403700614489 originally.
    There is a very annoying "feature" in Windows 7 called BrokenShortcuts.ps1 which is being called out weekly via maintenance task and if it finds more than 4 "broken" network shortcuts it removes them all. So it means if a user at this
    moment is disconnected from the network he will lose all links to shares, network applications sitting on his desktop. Funny that there was no such script on Vista and i don't see this on Win8. On the post i have attached one user suggested to edit this script
    and change 4 to 500 or whatever high number. That's fine for one time fix. But i need to do this for 200+ users. This file cannot be simply replaced by a script, so i'm wondering is there any way to do it via GPO?
    I have already tried various startup scripts, but i'm not sure which user to put into commands.
    I need to run this on startup:
    takeown /F C:\Windows\diagnostics\scheduled\Maintenance\TS_BrokenShortcuts.ps1
    icacls c:\windows\diagnostics\scheduled\maintenance\TS_BrokenShortcuts.ps1 /grant "some user":F
    copy \\share\folder$\TS_BrokenShortcuts.ps1 C:\Windows\diagnostics\scheduled\Maintenance\ /Y

    You need to take time to study how Windows does these things.  You can control them with GP which is what you asked.  The article shows you how to disable elements of the tasks.  Each task controls a script.  If you disable the task the
    script that deletes shortcuts will be stopped. Other maintenance tasks will continue to run.
    Most of your problem is that you seem to want someone to provide a magical solution.  In technology it is necessary to fully research your issues until you understand all aspects.  After fully studying the issue you should understand the possible
    solutions if they exist.
    You claim to have deployed the patch that Microsoft released to fix the issue.  You claim it didn't work.  If that is the case then you need to call MS and \p[en a support incident.  If  Microsoft determines that you are right about the
    patch not working you will not be charged for the call.
    I know that learning how to support technology is hard and frustrating for newcomers.  In time, by using these incidents to learn, you will become a seasoned technician and all of this will seem trivial.  Until then we can only suggest that you
    do things that most of us are familiar with.  We cannot fix your network for you.
    I think you haven't really posted in the GP forum but posted a question about GP in the server forum.  Try posting in the GP forum.

    Hi,
    How are you referring to the class path. I have created my custom build file and I refer like this.
    <path id="classpath">
      <pathelement location="${oracle.home}/lib/aia.jar"/>
      <pathelement location="${oracle.common.home}/modules/org.apache.commons.logging_1.0.4.jar"/>
    </path> oracle.home is the location where my aia.jar resides.
    In the compile-classes target I have
    <!--Target for Class path details -->
    <target name="compile-classes">
      <mkdir dir="${sca-inf.classes.dir}"/>
      <javac destdir="${sca-inf.classes.dir}"   classpathref="classpath"
             debug="on"                         nowarn="${javac.nowarn}"
             deprecation="${javac.deprecation}" encoding="Cp1252"
             source="1.6"                       target="1.6">
        <src path="${src.dir}"/>
      </javac>
    </target> Regards,

  • Cfexecute / ant script not returning results in CF

    I've got a batch script that runs an ant script that executes
    "cvs log -h application.cfm" on the cvs server.
    When I execute the batch script manually on the command line,
    everything works fine.
    When I execute the batch script via CFEXECUTE, the batch
    works fine, the ant script works fine, but the cvs command doesn't
    appear to do anything. The results from the tag are:
    [echo] before
    [echo] after
    As you'll see from the attached ant script (unchanged except
    for the cvsroot attribute), those echos are either side of the cvs
    command.
    When running via the command line, I get the results from the
    cvs log command in between those lines, but with CF I get nothing.
    Any ideas at all on how to get this working will be greatly
    appreciated.

    I'm using 7.01, but I fixed the CFEXECUTE tag by restarting
    the CF service twice.
    I've also managed to
    finally get the CVS bit to work - by changing
    :ext: to
    :ssh: - which I'm sure I tried before and it wouldn't work,
    but it's working now so I'm delighted.

  • Deploying BPEL project using ant script in 11g

    Hi,
    i am just trying to deploy a single BPEL project using ant script.
    please specify what are all the needed jar's to be needed for deploying the project using ant
    and where exactly they have to placed, i mean into which directory i need to place those jar's...
    if u have any specific blog which describes step by step procedurs for single project deployment via ant, please tell me...
    its very urgent..
    thanks in advance...

    Hi',
    The .jar file required will be of the project/composite you want to deploy to server, this jar is inside deploy folder (11G).
    This .jar file gets created when you try to deploy your composite using right click on the project in JDev.
    This .jar can be picked from any location.
    Try this its little more descriptive.

  • Calling ant script from another's project ant script

    Hello there,
    I would like to ask something about ant script. Sorry if this is not the right forum but I could not find a better one.
    I have 2 projects ProjectA and ProjectB in 2 different direcory structures, that contain 2 different build.xml files. I am trying to call ant of ProjectA inside the build.xml file of ProjectB like the following:
             <!-- inside build.xml of ProjectB-->
            <target name="buildProjectA">
                <ant antfile="${ProjectA.root}/build.xml" dir="${ProjectA.root}" inheritAll="false"/>
            </target>Unfortunately I get a different output than calling ant for Project A from the command prompt. Shouldn't this call to ant for ProjectA from ProjectB be exactly the same as calling ant from the command Prompt

    thanks for your reply,
    the problem is not that it does not file the xml file (although you re right, I changed it) but that later on in the building it behaves differently
    So, basically, what I want to know, is this the right way I am doing it or the two approaches are different cause in my approach ant is not called from the project's directory but from another ant script?
