You're trying to do this directly in ActionScript without using Flex, correct?
The mxmlc compiler for Flex adds some registerClassAlias calls to map types between the client and the server. This will be missing if try to use the messaging code outside of a Flex app.
Take a look at the mx.utils.RpcClassAliasInitializer class in rpc.swc. This has a static registerClassAliases method that will do the class registration for you. You should just need to call this before running your messaging code.

I thought the same that those devices simply are too old. However I would like to know what causes this capabilities change. We want to get rid of the old H/W, but at the moment it looks as if we would need to revert back to the 4402 in order to get those things working again.
I have not enough information, but those devices are some kind of handhelds. Their MAC OUI belongs to Newport Electronics.

    Patrick

On session time out, Flex Client is invalidated on the server side. It also results in Flex Session getting invalidated. In order to complete the client-server streaming connection handshake, the client ends up sending a CLOSE command. On the server side, for any work to be done, the MB first needs to creates a Flex Session (if none exists). After doing the necessary cleanup, the newly created Flex Session will also be invalidated. No stray Flex Sessions will left dangling...

The first section describes how to troubleshoot CUPS and printing problems.

Thanks for looking at this post. We have resolved the issue for ourselves by working with our DBAs to narrow down where the problem actually started. We found that the particular SQL we were looking at was not the issue. In a chart on a subsequent page (via a click through), we were actually running into where apex was starting to consuming memory but we were catching it later.
What we found was that when we had a chart query that was SQL containing a pipeline function, the memory usage went up. And within 10 minutes, the server would crawl to a halt. To release the memory, the DBAs would have to bounce the Apex instance. When I changed the query to be a function returning SQL, the problem stopped. I don't know what the correlation was between SQL and moving to a PL/SQL function returning SQL.
I am not even 100% positive of the pipeline function being the cause. I only know that this started happening about the same time as when I implemented the pipeline function. I understand you are leery of a one-second function/query running up that kind of utilization. No one here believed me either (including me really). We figured it HAD to be a coincidence. But once I changed the query from SQL to a function returning PL/SQL, our problem went away.
Thanks to all who looked at and thought about this.

    Hi,
Its good that u pasted the complete log file. In your environment you have to run this upgrade tool only once from any of the middle tier.
And with respect to your error that u got in precheck is quite simple. All u have to do is just run this script from by connecting to portal schema using sqlplus.
    Run dropupg.sql
    Location-------- /raid/product/OraHome_1/upgrade/temp/portal/prechktmp/dropupg.sql
Later you re-run the upgrade tool and let me know the status.
    Good luck

    Dear Insaponata ,
I dont understand what do you mean by oneoff but see the following:
A patch is a one-off fix for a specific issue. The patch may be a manual process, or applied using the opatch utility. These changes may not result in an oracle version change, so it is only possible to tell that they have been applied by keeping a manual record, or by listing the patches applied via opatch, assuming that is how you applied them. Patches may have specific dependencies, so you must check you have the correct patch for your version.
A patchset is a collection or bundle of patches. Typically, a patchset is a more major operation, and as such will include be applied using the Oracle Universal Installer. The patchset will typically result in a significant version change, like 10.2.0.1.0 to 10.2.0.2.0 etc. Patchsets are usually cumulative, so you can patch anything from the base version release to the latest patchset in one go. So the same 9.2.0.8.0 patchset will be used to patch 9.2.0.1.0 and 9.2.0.7.0.
The word bundle implies a collection of patches, but a bundle may not be as big or important as a complete patchset. The bundle simply implies there are multiple patches bundles together.
