Swf does not work

I used coffee cup web vide player to convert a movie to a
flash file. Everything works fine on my computer but the uploaded
html page does not run the animation... it loads fine the player, I
can see the buttons but when I press play nothing happens... anyway
the swf should work just for loading the html without even press
any button.
If I test the file on the ftp site it also works fine.
Can anybody help?

The code was generated by that Coffee Cup software, please

  • Help, swf does not work in html file.

    why is the swf (
    http://happynick.com/sheflash/openingvideo.swf)
not showing up in the html page? I see only the black center and
    not swf.
    see http://happynick.com/sheflash/index3.html where this page
    should be located.
how can I make it run automatically when I open the html
    page?

Not sure what is happening, but it seems to be working-ish
    for me.
It sits for a minute, then the page redirects to main.html -
I assume that is a reaction from something in the SWF.
When I download the SWF to my desktop, and run it outside of
the browser, all I get is a black box as well.

  • SWF does not work in PDF

I created a demo in Captivate and wish to put a link to it in my Framemaker document, which will become a PDF.  First I import the SWF file into my Framemaker doucment.  After the Framemaker document has been made into a PDF, I click on the link that should open the SWF file.  I get a "Manage Trust for Multimedia" message.  I click Play and nothing happens.  Any suggestions?

    Hi again
Indeed the PDF will swell. Essentially you are taking it and inserting it inside the PDF. This allows you to ship only a PDF to someone and they can read the content and view the SWF too. All from the PDF.
Sounds like you are wanting to insert some form of a dynamic link in the PDF so you have basically a placeholder that the user may click or something and watch the video play from a server.
I'm guessing you will need to ask perhaps in the Acrobat forum. Once you find out if it's even possible to do, then figure out what you have to do in Frame to make that type of coding result in a PDF created using Frame.

  • Linking to a website does not work

I am new to captivate and am having a problem. On one of my slides, I have a link to a website. I placed a click box over the text and set the action to Open URL or file and specified the URL to open in a new window.
When I publish the project, the link works when I am in the published PDF file but it does not work when I am in the published SWF or HTM file. Can someone give me some advice on what I may be doing wrong? IF this has been addresssed elsewhere, I am sorry for the duplication. I have searched and could not find anything.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there
"Whitelisting" is a process that is used to identify something as being a "safe" or "trusted" source. I believe what is meant in this context is that you need to add the location to the trusted locations list in the Flash Player as described in the link below:

  • Flash player does not work properly on Windows 7 32 bits

    Hello,
My flash player does not work properly on Windows 7 32 bits with Firfox and IE8 (lasts versions).
My Flash player version : 10.0.45.2, but I tried with version 9 too, with same problems.
I have tried to uninstall, reboot, reinstall several times, ... witch did not worked.
In fact, it works correctly on some sites, like youtube, but not on some others like :
http://www.dailymotion.com/ => black screen instead of videos, right click gives flash context menu
http://www.canalplus.fr/ => videos does not load, right click gives flash context menu
http://www.myspace.com/ => no audio player, right click gives flash context menu
some games in http://www.kongregate.com/ => black screen instead of games, right click gives flash context menu
I have no problem with shockwave in http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
No problem too with flash player on http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
But in the Global Privacy Settings panel (http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l), I cannot change any settings :
    I cannot check boxes,
    My changes are not saved.
In most of flash animations, videos, ...,
when I click on parameters, I cannot do anything, even closing.
when I am in full screen mode, the message "press escape to exit...." does not disappear.
Last thing, all those problems was not there when I was on Windows XP, few weeks ago, and appear with my registered Windows 7 premium familly edition, with the same hardware configuration...
    Thank you for your help

    Hi eidnolb
    Thanks for your answer.
This is what I have :
    Verify user permissions
    I have an administrator account.
I tried (uninstall, install and run) with super-administrator account for same results
    Install the most current version.
I am running the latest version (10.0.45.2)
Run the Clean Installer to Fix 3rd Party Flash Player Cleaners
I did not "clean" my computer.
    Troubleshoot Pop-up blockers
I have no Pop-up or esle blocker  software.
Ensure that Internet utilities do not block Flash Player
I tried (uninstall, install and run) without Avast.
I have windows 7 firewall. I do not know where I can allow ActiveX  controls and Flash (SWF) content. I do not see anything relative to ActiveX an Flash in allowed program list.
Fix machine crashes when displaying Flash content
I have no freez or crash.
Using IE, Shockwave Flash Object is Enabled and vs 10.0.45.2
Using FF, I have SWF vs  10.0.45.2 and it is Enabled
I really do not understand !!

  • Cross-reference does not work inside the object states

    Hi All,
I use InDesign CS5.5. I have four pages document. first three page has full for text and the fourth page has multi-state object. I am trying to insert the cross reference from the third page to the multi-state object (fourth multi-state object). when I export to SWF and click the cross-reference it does not got to the fourth state, but it goes to only on the first state. can any one help me how to add the cross-reference?
I have tried on the other way. i have inserted the text anchor on the fourth multi-state object and tried to add cross-reference, still it does not work.
am i doing something wrong or InDesign does not have this feature.
    please help.
    thanks.
    Regards
    Ramji V K

    @Ramji V K – Do we have a "terminology problem" here?
Do you really mean a "Cross-Reference" or do you try to control the MultiStateObject (MSO) by a "Button" that does not work propperly?
I did not do anything with the "Cross-Reference" feature yet, so I might be on the wrong trail…

  • Link works in Flash 8 but it does not work in Dreamweaver

I made a Flash swf file which contains button and ball. When
I put mouse over the button, the ball jumps up.
And also I have managed to attach a link to the button using
    action script.
Strange thing is the link works fine when I use test movie
with Flash 8 but when I insert it into Dreamweaver, although the
ball works fine with mouse over but the link does not work at all.
    Can anybody tell me why?
Why it work with test movie in Flash 8 but not in Dreamwever.
Thank you very much in advance.

I have just solve my question myself.
In a Dreamweaver preview the link does not work but once the
    page is published it works.
    Thank you.

Okay, the problem is when I publish the .swf files and put it in an html or .aspx page, it does not work. The audio is not there and a few others things ar enot working. However, it does work if I click on the.html file that Flash created during the publication.
    Here are the folder structions:
    www.mysite.com/myFlashPage.aspx
    www.mysite.com/flashFileFolder/
    www.mysite.com/flashFileFolder/audioFiles/
So, the myFlashPage.aspx containsthe myFlash.swf file that is inside the flashFileFolder. For some reason, it does not work. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

The .html file does work if I publish it into the same folder as I created the Flash project. However, when I publish the
flash .swf to my web site folder (mapped), it's no longer working. The mapped web site drive structher are as follows:
    D:\Mysite\ contains the .html file
    D:\Mysite\flashFileFolder\ contains the .swf file
    D:\Mysite\flashFileFolder\audioFiles contains the PaukenBrumfiel_AngelsOnHigh.mp3 file
D:\Mysite\flashFileFolder\greensock-tweening-platform-as3 contains all the tweenlite files
The .html file does not work either. What else do I need to change?

why is that we insist on seeing the source file ?
There is no one way of doing things in flash and no one can
    help
you based on "does not work description".
This is way to broad of a subject to even try to guess.
Same as asking "my car does not work, what's up with
    that"....
Please upload the problematic file and provide url for us to
    check.
Otherwise you need to try to troubleshoot it yourself as we
    can't
guess from here what possibly is wrong with that file.

  • Why "align" does not works in IE ?

I need to align my SWF file to right side. In HTML code I m
    useing align=right ....
It works in Firefox, but not in IE 6 (7). I tried to load SWF
with java, but it also does not work.
IE 6 (7) does not know "ALIGN" ? How can I to align my SWF to
    right side ?

Thank you for your help, but it is not what I need.
I dont need align SW to right, or left side of HTML page.
    What I need is...
For example : When I use frames. Left frame is FLASH menu and
this SWF is bigger than frame - usualy SWF is displayed from left
side. But I need to align this MENU to the SWF right side.
This code works in Firefox, but not in IE :
    <object classid="clsid:d42122....."

  • Flash video with cuepoints and skin does not work

Hi guys, i created a SWF file based on the template available
    here
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/vidtemplate_mediapreso_04.html
Basically the movie has navigation buttons on the left side
of the video display to enable users to jump to predefined sections
(topics) within the video. It also has the video controls under the
    video.
I imported my video as well as the sample provided in the
webpage above and the clip does not work in Presenter. I can see
the skin but the buttons flash and we cannot see the video. I'm not
a Flash or Presenter expert. Just wondering if anyone can help
troubleshoot this. We would really like to embed a swf with
navigation buttons into Presenter. is this possible? ideas
    appreciated.
    Thanks

I'm sure someone will post a workaround for you (there are about 4 or 5 different workarounds people have posted at various times). But I wanted to thank you for your post. My experience as a very recent PC to Mac convert has been frustrating, mostly due to Keynote. When I first started using Keynote I was amazed at what it could do. I spent a lot of time working on a project (several days) only to spend another several days trying to figure out why it wouldn't Export. I finally logged onto the forums and see that people have been posting about this problem for MONTHS. It's been very frustrating to say the least and is a major flaw.
Your note is the first indication I received that Apple is truly working on this issue. I feel for people who posted months ago waiting for an update every day. Like them, I sent a support email (not answered).Your note shows both hope and progress. Apple could really convert a lot of people if it got software like Keynote to work correctly. I'm still blown away by its power. But it's like owning a Ferrari with now wheels. It has a lot of power, but there's nothing you can do with it until you get wheels.
    Cheers!

  • Swf does not publish properly, plays fine in preview browser.

I have scoured the internet looking for a solution, and I work with a team of professional Flash developers... Nobody can figure this out.
I have a SWF I've been trying to publish to the web. It's inside an AP div tag. The swf plays fine in Preview mode. When I publish, however, the swf does not play in Safari at all, and will only play in Firefox upon hitting "refresh." After this, the swf will load and play just fine, UNLESS YOU CLEAR YOUR HISTORY, at which point the same problem appears: you see nothing but a black, blank box.
"Yeah, I've heard that before, it's probably your javascript, blah blah blah..." Well, wait, just wait. The swf DOES load in both browsers. It just doesn't play. In order to get it to play, you have to right-click and select Play. I cannot, for the life of me, get it to just go ahead and play automatically when publishing.
But the REAL riddle of all this is that the swfs USED to play just fine until a few days ago. I've done nothing different in my publishing. I have rebuilt the page from scratch to no avail. And I haven't found anything on the internet that addresses this question directly. I've had a couple of developers try and mess with the code for me, and THEY can't get it to work, either. I am pretty much begging for any possible help on this, so thanks in advance.
I am a design-oriented user; I understand code only conceptually. If a code solution is the only solution, please be specific with where and how to implement the advice.
The actual page in question is here:
    http://www.thecolodinproject.com/Media/Trailers/Trailer%2002_Lure/Trailer_Volume_02_Lure.h tml
I will be checking back at this page often to look for replies; I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Nope... As I said, the swf USED to run just fine, and still does in certain browsers. I haven't messed with the SWF at all since that time, so there isn't any logical reason it should be different now.

  • URLLoader does not work

I am following the URLLoader example
    I'm compiling with -mxmlc -use-network=false Main.as
Both main.swf and the file I'm trying to download (test.txt) reside in the same directory
I get the open even then the HTTPStatus event (status == 0) then nothing happens
I verified that the file is found: I changed the file name to xtest.txt and promptly got an ioError event.
I tried to compile without -use-network=false and the load failed with an error #2148 as expected
I changed the url to http://test.txt, compiled with -use-naetwork=flase and the load failed with error #2028 as expected
I added a timer to make sure the flash is running, and it does
In short I think it simply is broked!
Compiled using flex sdk "Version 3.3.0 build 4852"
The player's about sends me to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ,  which reports "You have version 10,0,32,18 installed"

silly mistake... notice how all callback functions take an argument "event"Event" ... all that is _except_ the downloadCompleted handler
    i changed
    private function downloadCompletedHandler():void
    to
    private function downloadCompletedHandler(event:Event):void
and this code started to work
unfortunatly, the compiler does not catch this sort of error.

  • Loading swf's not working

Hello all. I have a 'UI' module that loads in other swf files
based upon which button the user clicks. It is able to locate and
load the swf files with no problems. The problem arises with combo
boxes. Whenever the swf loaded with the loader has a combo box, the
box does not work properly. When you select an item, sometimes you
get that item, the one above it, one 2 after it, etc. I have no
idea why this is happening and would greatly appreciate some help.
I'll attach my small segment of loading code, maybe the problem is
there but I don't see it.
The function launcher is called by the buttons with a string
to the location of the swf. The loader is able to find these swf's
but the combo boxes just do not work properly.

It appears that it was some sort of cache problem. I cleared
all the private data in my browser and it worked with no problems
with the new 3.0. I thought I did that the other day but I must not
have. It's now working just fine.
