SWF in pdf  format issue

Hi,
I have exported the swf file in pdf and ppt format. I have made all the setting in web server level, which are found in forums. the crossdomain.xml and the adobe global security panel settings. when I open in my system there is no any pop up window to make the file trusted. But when i open the file from other system , even then i make the file from that computer as trusted file, every time  after opening it is asking to make the file trusted.
the same case happens with ppt also. In some systems it wil open without any problems. But in some systems it is giving problem. Even then i am following the same steps and having the same adobe versions and flash players.
Kindly help me.

Disable your firewall and then check it again.

  • PDF formatting issues on BO 4

We are migrating from SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI to SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 2 Patch 1. Our Crystal reports were in version 2008. We are having issues with text formating in our PDF documents. For example: lines will either overflow or wrap too soon, fonts on charts are sometimes off.
Can anyone help quide me on where I can look to fix this?

    Hi,
Regarding to "lines will either overflow or wrap too soon", registries change may be needed.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Crystal Reports\SavedData and the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Crystal Reports\SavedData keys and create a string value and set the TruncateClippedFieldStrings value to "Yes".
Check out SAP BO KB 1218653 - Crystal Report fields overlap rather than truncate when viewed in InfoView or BI Launchpad  on http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1218653 for detail.
    Hope this helps,

  • PDF formating issue in RTF Template

    Hi,
I have an XML for which i have data for both subavisor level and fund level and the data at each fund level are derived/aggregated from Subadvisor level(using complex formula which is taken care at the database level not at the RTF level).
I need to show both Fund level data and SubAdvisor level data in the report, so i have designed the required RTF Template to show the Sub Advisor level data for each fund Level Data.
The Sample XML is(i have only included one SubAdvisorLevel data(XYZ) for the Fund(ABC) :
    <DATA_DS>
    - <G_1>
    <FUND_NAME>ABC</FUND_NAME>
    <SUB_ADV_ANA_MIL>1234</SUB_ADV_ANA_MIL>
    <MGMT_FEE_PAID>1234</MGMT_FEE_PAID>
    <MGMT_FEE_PAID_O>NA</MGMT_FEE_PAID_O>
    <MGMT_FEE_BP>1234</MGMT_FEE_BP>
    <MGMT_FEE_BP_O>NA</MGMT_FEE_BP_O>
    <TA_BILLABLE_ASSET>NA</TA_BILLABLE_ASSET>
    <TA_FEES_PAID>NA</TA_FEES_PAID>
    <TA_FEES_PAID_O>NA</TA_FEES_PAID_O>
    <TA_EFF_BP>NA</TA_EFF_BP>
    <TA_EFF_BP_O>NA</TA_EFF_BP_O>
    </G_1>
    - <G_1>
    <FUND_NAME>ABC</FUND_NAME>
    <SUB_ADV_NAME>XYZ</SUB_ADV_NAME>
    <SUB_ADV_ANA_MIL>123</SUB_ADV_ANA_MIL>
    <MGMT_FEE_PAID>123</MGMT_FEE_PAID>
    <MGMT_FEE_PAID_O>NA</MGMT_FEE_PAID_O>
    <MGMT_FEE_BP>123</MGMT_FEE_BP>
    <MGMT_FEE_BP_O>NA</MGMT_FEE_BP_O>
    <TA_BILLABLE_ASSET>NA</TA_BILLABLE_ASSET>
    <TA_FEES_PAID>NA</TA_FEES_PAID>
    <TA_FEES_PAID_O>NA</TA_FEES_PAID_O>
    <TA_EFF_BP>NA</TA_EFF_BP>
    <TA_EFF_BP_O>NA</TA_EFF_BP_O>
    </G_1>
    - <G_1>
Because of this structure the XML, i have designed the RTF template by putting the following code:-
    <?for-each-group:G_1;./FUND_NAME?><?sort:current-group()/FUND_NAME;'ascending';data-type='text'?>
<?FUND_NAME?> <?SUB_ADV_ANA_MIL?> ............................................(other Attributes are also present)
    <?for-each-group:current-group();./SUB_ADV_NAME?> <?if:SUB_ADV_NAME!=''?> <?SUB_ADV_ANA_MIL?>............(other Attributes are also present)
    <?end if?><?end for-each-group?>
The only issue i am facing while exporting this RTF Template to PDF is that i am getting a blank row in the PDF(because of the condition <?if:SUB_ADV_NAME!=''?> ) for the 1st level of Sub Advisor level Grouping and there after all the Sub Advisor level data are coming up fine.
Can you please help me out in resolving this issue

    Thanks Bipuser,
But the inlines function in not giving the desired result, it is working in the same way even if i haven't put any condition.
The problem with the existing condition <?if:SUB_ADV_NAME!=''?> is that only PDF is generated with the extra space and Excel does not comes up any space.
Please let me know if you need any further information from my end.
    Thanks again,
    Regards

  • PDF format issue on email delevered Ibot

    Hi,
I am having an uncommon issue.
We are having some ibots delivering the report as PDF attachment to user group. On friday morning when the user tried to open the PDF attachment on a email ibot delivered, he got the error below.
"Adobe Reader could not open 'filename.pdf'" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
After sometime the error was gone and everything started working as normal. But we dont know when we will get the same error again. The user has got the same error last month.
There is not issue with the ibot design, as during the certain time frame all ibots delivered fails with same error.
Please help me if you know the reason for this behavior.
    Thanks
    Krishana

Do you have any settings in Adobe Reader to look for updates at a certain time like when the problem occurs. I'm wondering if there is something that temporarily disrupts the ability of the file to be converted to pdf which causes the corruption issue. Check to see that there are no scheduled updates going on or any system process that may take out the ability to create a pdf file temporarily. This may be what's happening.

  • SSRS Export to PDF formating issue

    Hello
I have created one ssrs report which is having 25 column in this report. whenever i will export this report to PDF, all column will not come in the single page. It will display the part of the columns on the first page and rest of the column
    in next page.
Could you please suggest me how to fix all the columns in a single page.

    Hi Vinay SH
Check ur report properties where u will mention report width and height for the report.
Let say if ur table width is 10 the make it 10.5 which include(table width, left spacing ,right spacing).
Then export the report to PDF.
    It will work.
Stiil the issue exists feel free to ask.

  • Export to PDF, Excel, Excel (Data Only) formatting issues

    Hi Community
I have a report that consists of 5 subreports. Out of the 5 subreports, 3 of them have a similar format whereas the other 2 are different.
Iu2019m currently facing an issue whereby the exports to excel works fine, but excel (data only) has some alignment issues(i.e. the data appears below the correct columns). However, when the report is tweaked to make export to excel (data only) appear correctly, the export to excel had its data shifted out of alignment. There is no impact to pdf exporting at the moment.
Are there any people who are facing similar issues? Is there any resolution or workaround? I appreciate any help. Thanks.
FYI, the version of crystal reports is Crystal reports is Crystal reports 2008 and we are using the crystal report viewer interface to export into excel and pdf formats. The excel version is 2007.
    Regards

DW, i've also run into issues with multiple sub reports. I resolved it by putting each sub report into it's own section, and then suppressing the sub report (Note, if ur trying to export subreport data to excel, I don't think its going to work. You'd need to create shared variables and then bring those sub report shared variables into your main report).
Once you bring your shared variables into the main report, suppress your sub reports, and then export to excel, you're still left with a dataset that has missing rows. This is ok. You can solve it easily within the excel file itself by sorting the data on a unique ID like Account #. This removes the extra rows.
Not the most elegant solution, but it works.

  • Issues in exporting SSRS report to PDF format in Report Server - Blank spaces are deleted

    Hi Gurus,
I have a problem in exporting SSRS report to PDF format. It deletes all the blank spaces when I use bullet in a Text box and try to export to PDF formt in Report Server . For example
    •             Project submitted to the TRC
    Result in PDF format:
         • ProjectsubmittedtotheTRC
I also noted that when I try to export to PDF in Visual Stuio 2005 (Business Intelligence development studio), it does not delete any blank spaces and shows the correct aligned Data in PDF format.
Please help me as it is frustrating a lot
I would highly appreciate for your quick response

Was there ever a solution found for this as i have the same issue.
When bullet point is entered in a field all the spaces are removed when exported to PDF
i tried exporting to excel and it does not remove spaces, however this is no use to me as it needs to be in PDF
Using IE 7 (Don't think the browser has anything to do with it as this happened via a subscription)
Didn't know SSRS had specific Service Packs, i though they came as patches to SQL Server (SQL Server is on Service Pack 3)
This should be easy to replicate all you need to do is copy text containing a bullet point into a sql server database field and then add this field to a report export to pdf and the spaces are gone
    Thanks in advance,

  • Formating issues after converting a pdf to a word document

The word document I converted from adobe does not match the PDF formatting. How do I fix that?

    Hi ioannay44277706,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble converting your file. It sounds like the issue is with one particular file, is that correct? How large is that file? Are you converting via the ExportPDF web interface or via Reader?
It may be that the file is too complex to convert before the ExportPDF service times out. For starters, please try clearing the browser cache, and logging back in the https://cloud.acrobat.com. Any luck?
    Best,
    Sara

  • Issues embedding swf in pdf document?

I have created a small application to illustrate Snell's law as a flash file.
The idea is to integrate it in a online educational book and I have already done so with several simple animations.
This was to be my first application with user input other than start/stop buttons.
The application works fine in a browser or as a stand-alone flash file but when I embed it in the pdf file it doesn't execute properly, nothing happens when buttons are pushed to calculate the equations.
This is my first question here so I don't know how to add my application or an example of it embedded in a pdf document but I guess including them from a filehosting site could work?
    The swf file:
    http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/408159/Snells_Law.swf
    The PDF file:
    http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/408160/test.pdf
I used CS6 Flash professional to create the SWF file.
    thanks in advance
edit: also including the original fla-file: http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/408478/Snells_Law_3.fla
By moving a piece of code up through the lines I have found that after line 377, nothing gets executed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see no syntax errors and your code works well so there shouldn't be any issue embedding it. In Acrobat XI I get a preview of the plugin required to view the SWF and I must activate the plugin (very common on windows) by clicking on it. Once I do the SWF embedded in your document works for me, although it doesn't overlap the preview which is stretched to the size of the page whereas the plugin container is the size of the original document. So it works fine for me when viewing as a PDF and if you resize it down to its original document size it should overlap the preview properly. Plugin containers often require permission/activation (a mouse click), that's normal.
I was able to target 10.1/10.2 as the SWF export target rather than FP11. You may want to try downgrading your publish preferences to that which should reduce the overhead of the plugin container. Outside that I see no reason you should have an issue embedding this. I don't have a full copy of master at home to create the PDF to test (openoffice isn't really capable of it) so you'll have to test that yourself but the PDF you linked works for me.

  • Converting files to PDF causing formatting issues.

    Hello.
I am experiencing issues with converting an Excel file to a PDF and retaining its format.  The first page converts fine, no formatting issue. But every page after that is shrinking the font and making the images smaller.  This employee has tried to save the Excel file as a PDF and tried printing it through the Adobe print driver, but both are producing the same issue.
The troubleshooting steps I have taken to try to resolve this issue are below.
    reinstall Adobe Acrobat
    tried modifying the margins
    tried a different machine
    Cleaned the Temp folder
Any suggestions on a fix for this?

    Hi Bill.
Thank you for the response.  I tested what you have suggested and this did not work.  When Adobe PDF printer is selected, it looks fine in the print preview, but once the Excel sheet has been processed, the format is not correct.  I tested this also with printing a hard copy to a printer, still the formatting looks fine in the print preview.  Once the file has been printed, it is not formatted the same. I have also removed the Adobe Driver and installed it again.  Still doesn't work.
    Any suggestions?

  • Convert pdf into excel format - format issue

Before I purchase an Adobe Acrobat Pro XI I have downloaded the trail version for evaluating. I have also run an Update of the program.
Our company is receiving a lot of order files in PDF-format and instead of entering the order lines manually into our order system we want to convert these pdf files into Excel format. We can then use this xls file to upload the order into SAP and in that way save a lot of time. The pdf file consists of several columns as material number, description, quantity …..I want that every column in the pdf document also appears in one own column in the xls file. This works for several order lines but then suddenly are all the columns for some order line written into one and the same column and then are the columns again correctly written. I have tried with several pdf files with the same problem. Has anyone any idea what the reason for this issue is?

Is this a PDF form? If so, you should be able to extract the data in the form using the manage data under the forms tools. That may be what you are looking for.
Whenever I see a post related to forms by a commercial concern, there is an issue related to Reader rights. Some of this has changed with AA XI and it would be good to review the license agreement carefully to be sure you are in compliance (law suits are not pretty).

    Thanks for the reply Sebastian,
I created APS with only CVOM service and changed the parameter Xmx6g, but the result is the same. But there are some strange thing, since com at the time of shipment and PDF generation dedicated to the APS, the value of the metric "Maximum Memory (MB)" was 5.461Mg that corresponds to the parameter Xmx6g, but the metric "Total Memory (MB)" value was 1792Mg and "Free Memory (MB)" the 1.052Mg value. Is it possible that the APS does not use all available memory is allocated to it? At the time of generating the server had memory available to grow.

  • PDF File Format Issue

I have a PC in which I have InDesign CS4 installed.  I am trying to create a book cover using a preset template that is saved in a pdf format.  How do I get this program to open this type of file?

Sorry, InDesign has never opened PDF files. You can choose File > Place. You could put the template on its own layer and reduce its opacity so you could use it as a template for your project.
