Swf test doesn't work

I've created an image carousel and tested it in Flash and all
is fine, but when i try and view it as an swf it doesn't playback?
Is there are coding i need or is there something I'm
missing?

Interactive pdf with movies/swf files doesn't work in up-to-date Acrobat Reader

Hi, I've a CS6 InDesign doc with movies (MP4's from a URL) and a few swf files. When exporting as an interactive pdf, all the links, movies, swf's work fine in my Acrobat Pro. They work fine on other peoples PC's with Acrobat Pro. But on all my clients PC's with up to date Reader, the movies are playing slow, and the pdf just doesn't work as expected. With links to next page etc not working either. They have up dated their Flash Player too. Still not working well.
Is there a magic fix? Can I re-save this pdf differently so they can experience all the interactive features properly?
I created a similar pdf last year from CS5, but adding in the movies & links on the pdf. Do I have to do this again?

Is it possible that your client's PC is just a very slow machine? You might consider cutting out some of the interactivity if your PDF is to complex to be handled by less powerful machines.

Data Driven Test doesn't work in coded UI

Hi,
I have written my first coded ui data driven test (Visual Studio 2012). Although the test ran and was marked passed. I don't think it actually did anything.
I have 2 fields (Input and Output) on my csv file.
n my app, I want to enter the input field in a field called GoTo which is an UITbedit field, hit enter. This should open another window where I want to validate the window title = to my Output

During playback, it appeared that the coded ui test had looped through the csv file, but it didn't actually write anything to the edit field that I was testing.

The application appears to loop through the file, but it is placing my original entered test "1" in the edit field during both iterations. The playback is slow enough that I can see what is being entered. It doesn't seem to be replacing the

How to trigger a MouseEvent from TLF, my test doesn't work

      I run into a problem while using the Listener of TLF,
      Inside the TextFlow, I have several Paragraphs.
      What I wish to accomplish is to trigger a mouse Event, like ROLL_OVER, ROLL_OUT event , when my mouse is over a on one of the Paragraphs.
      I used to experiment a while , but never seem to work, just the examples below

*.swf file doesn't work normally in safari browser

I'm Flash Mx user and i use it for animation, advertisement, banner on the web.
*.swf file works well in explore, but not in safari browser.
So I cann't see the flash contents(*.swf) in safari, even if flash player v11.0 is installed.
I mean *.swf file dosen't work normally.
Please let me know the reason.

Flash swf button doesn't work in DW

This must be simple but I'm a newbie bonehead. I made a movie
clip button in Flash and it tests fine. In DW, the rollover, link,
none of it works. I've changed the settings to allow the url and
the code looks OK. I'm using layers to build the site which I know
is kid stuff. Thanks for any help. Otherwise, love DW!

.swf fullscreen doesn't work???

But my proublem is that I have a flash presentation.
The defalt for moving the slide screens back and forth are left and right arrows.
It works fine when tested or even the .swf file.
But then the left and right buttons don't respond when I go to fullscreen.
It's a presentation so I need to be in fullscreeen......
Anyone know whats up???

Cross-domain SWF loading doesn't work

I've been trying to get cross-domain SWF loading to work for
a while now, but even though it works from the Flash IDE the loaded
SWF is blank when I upload it to a webserver somewhere. And yes,
both servers have a crossdomain.xml file in their root folder, and
I've also used System.security.allowDomain("*"). I've published
both using the 'using network' option in the publish dialog.
Could someone please help me with this, as I can't seem to
find why it isn't loading. I've also read the entire PDF about
Flash 9 security, but I couldn't find anything about external SWF
loading except for the crossdomain files.

A little more color on this: If there are 2 or more messages in the active mailbox (and others in a different mailbox), the expand/collapse function works for the messages in the active mailbox. In the message column on the right, all the messages in the conversation are shown (both mailboxes). Only those messages in the active box are shown in the list column when the conversation is expanded. I can kind of see how this might be intentional, but it's strange to see lots of messages in the conversation in the right column, but only one or a few corresponding items in the messge list.

WebUtil Demo OLE test doesn't work

I have downloaded the WebUtil demo and all tabs/functionalities in the form WU_TEST_105 works except the OLE test. When I click on the button "Write to Word" the form just hangs/freezes adn nothing happens. I added the lines

Embedded swf file doesn't work after publishing

I am creating a lecture slides with embedded flashed swf which is created with AS3 including animation. It works well inside Powerpoint, butitdoen't work after publishing and running with web browser. My powerpoint version is 2007 and Adobe presenter is 7.07. I already look for soltutions by searching but I can't find one.

Thank Shubhi. I have found out the key problem of not running when embedding a flash into Adobe Presenter is that the Main class must be inherited MovieClip not Sprite as I created it before. Now it works perfectly for flash versions created from both Adobe Flash Pro. CS5.5 (11) and CS4 (10).

Jdeveloper tester doesn't work

I create my own app. module and deploy it as ejb on 8i from jdeveleoper, everything fine.
but when i test it from jdeveloper from its tester, and have generated client jar file in classpath, i get unable to create app. module.
I see that lots of people get this error. Can anyone please. let me know what special thing i have to do to get it working.

Regarding the MacOSX install:
I had to put together all hints including the faked rt.jar and core.jar from the upper post (thanks Frank)
using -Dos.name=unix helped resolving the correct free diskspace but i got a heap space error in Java.
Alltogether this would be:
create the missing dir presuming you use java 1.6 (as root):
mkdir -p /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home/1.6/jre/lib
cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home/1.6/jre/lib

cd to the directory where you have your wlsVersion_generic.jar

SWF Player doesn't work

I downloaded Shockwave Flash Player from Adobe and the
graphic said Instalation Complete. When I try to open a shockwave
flash file I am asked to find the program. The player is not among
them. Is there a site where I can test to see if these kind of
files in general open for me? Maybe it's just this one that is
somehow corrupt. Thanks.

Swf previews in browser and doesn't work on server after upgrade from cs3 to cs5

     I have upgraded from CS3 to CS5. My site uses a template created in dreamweaver 8. When I edit a page and embed a .swf file created in flash cs5, it doesn't work on my server, but works on my computer when I 'test in browser'. I have uploaded all the files in the 'scripts' directory. I am streaming video. I have tried using both actionscript 2.0 and 3.0 and streaming .flv and .f4v. None work.
I have a big site and do not wan't to redo my template unless I absolutely have to.

It's not 100% clear from your post, but you should be aware that CS5 plugins should not work in CS5.5. Because of a CS5.5 bug, CS5 plugins will load in InDesign 7.5.0, but that is fixed in 7.5.1 so they will not load.
You should lean a bit harder on Virginia Systems. They should be able to tell you how to get them the stack trace from the crash which they should be able to look at and tell you which plugin (if any) is responsible for the crash. I could do it for Mac OS X but I don't know how under Windows. You could start by looking at the Event Viewer, though. That may have some helpful information about the crashes and the faulting module.

BitmapData draw method doesn't work when the project is published as the .swf file of the web applic

Hi,
        I am totally confused by this strange error. When I tried using the draw method of BitmapData to draw a movieclip symbol of my project, it seems to work fine locally. However, as I uploaded the published .swf file to my web server and launched it as the plugin of my web application, it failed. The source codes as follows,

message3 didn't show at all. Instead, the browser console shows "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject.". My understanding of this error message is that the .swf is calling something crashing, and I believe that bd.draw(stage)is the crashng method call.

My real purpose in this application is to capture a snapshot of a streaming video. The video is contained in a movieclip object. I tried stage first since BirmapData.draw() doesn't work when drawing the movieclip on the web site. Do you have any suggestion for this situation? Also, is there any good method to find out what happened if the browser have "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject."?
