Swipe the calendar through the days

Is there any way to swipe the calendar across the days?
for example, I'm on Tuesday in the calendar view, and I swipe my finger to the left and shift to Wednesdays view. or swipe back to the right and view Tuesday, then again to view Monday.
This would work the same as the photo viewer.
Then I can get really creative and pinch to zoom out to the week, then zoom out to the month, then zoom out to the year.
Just a thought.

you can with an app. I use Week Calendar and it swipes the days. If in week view you can zoom in and out too.

    Hi.
    I am a bit confused as to how to restrict the day and time shown on a calendar.
    The ical help says this:
    To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday.
    However, in my preferences pane, i don't have a either a week or day pop up menu that i can see, so i can't seem to restrict these fields. It's really frustrating as calendars are beginning at 1am!!!!
    Anybody got any ideas?

    OK, but what did the help menu mean when it said..
    To view the day's, week's, or month's events, click the Day, Week, or Month button at the bottom of the iCal window.
    To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday.
    To change which months are shown in the mini-month calendar (in the lower-left corner of the iCal window), click the arrows above the mini-month calendar. To see more than one month, drag the mini-month divider (the horizontal gray bar above the diamond) upward.
    To see events that are earlier or later in the day, use the scroll bar on the right side of the main calendar view.
    To change the range of time in the main calendar view that is not shaded (representing your "normal" day), choose iCal > Preferences. In the General pane, choose the times you want to appear in white (not shaded) from the "Day starts at" and "Day ends at" pop-up menus. All times outside that range are shaded.
    This suggests that you should be able to limit the hours actually shown on the calendar to a set range as opposed to just changing the shaded area.
    Have you any idea how to achieve this, as i don't see the popup menu suggested with...

  • Customer Exit for Calendar Month based on the day (system Date)

    Hello,
    I need help in creating a customer exit for Calendar month without the user input. The logic is as follows:
    For the BEx variable created with customer exit option and no user input:
    If the day on the system date falls in between 1 to 14 take the calendar year/month value as previous month.
    If the day on the system date falls in between 15 through 31 then take the calendar year/month as current month.
    eg if report is run on March 24th2009 the calendar year/month variable should be calculated as 03/2009 (March 2009)
    if the report is run on March 1st2009 the calendar year/month should be calculated as 02/2009 (Feb 2009).
    The code should be effective when run in the first 15 days of Jan when the previous month would contain the previous year as well.

    My friend and I share an iCal calendar through iCloud.  Until recently, we received email notificiations anytime either of us made changes to exisiting calendar events or added new items to the calendar.  Does anyone know why these email notificiations stopped?

    iCloud was experiencing problems with this a couple of days ago, where many users with shared calendars were getting email notifications even though their iCloud settings did not select to receive them.  Perhaps when they fixed this problem it reverted your settings to not receive email notifications.  Got to iCloud and check your setting for this.  If it still look correct, try turning off email notifications, save the change, then turn them back on again and save the change again.

    What do you mean by "on the days that should be marked"?  Are you calendar events displayed on the wrong days?

  • How do I display more than one month calendar in the day-view?

    iCal has always had a nice feature that allowed me to display little, what I call, mini-month calendars while in the day-view.  This allowed me to quickly jump to a day two or three (or more) months ahead (or behind) to check appointments on that day or set an appointment, without switching out of the day-view.
    The mini-month was a small clickable calendar that looked something like this:
    1   2   3   4   5   6   7
    8   9  10 11 12 13 14
    15 16 17 18 19 20 21
    22 23 24 25 26 27 28
    There was also a forward and backward arrow box [ < ][ > ] that allowed me to quickly scroll to the mini-month to find the day I wanted to click into.  And, if I wanted to give it more room by adjusting the frame, I could display up to three months at a time within my day view.
    Since upgrading iCal to 5.0 with the Lion upgrade, I can no longer display more than the current mini-month calendar on the day view.
    This is REALLY inconvenient.  Now, there is no way (that I know of) for me to stay in the day view and be able to jump ahead to a specific day two or three months out, or even to a day in the NEXT month without either going to the year view (a big waste of time) or click on the last day of the current month and then clicking the ">" day arrow to get to the next day which then shows that month's mini-calendar.
    How do I display more than the current month's mini-month calendar in the day view on Lion?

    Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

  • Issue with Gregorian Calendar and setting Day of the week

    Hi
    This may have a simple solution, but its currently got me stumped. Basically, after some calculation I determine the date that a particular event should occur on. These events are listed in a JTable where the column headers are the dates of the beginning of the weeks. In order to place my calculated event in the correct column I create a Gregorian Calendar, set it to the date of the event and then set the day of the week to the beginning of the week. Normally this works fine but for a few instances, rather than getting the date at the beginning of the week, I get the date thats the beginning of the next week.
    As a quick example, to kind of illustrate my problem:
    I determine that the date of the event is 27/06/2006 which is a Tuesday.
    I want this event to appear in the column headed 25/06/2006, the date of the beginning of the week.
    In fact it appears in the column headed the 02/07/2006 which is the beginning date of the following week.
    Is there anyway to get it so when I set the day to the first day of the week it goes to the beginning of the current week rather than the beginning of the next week?
    Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved as I'm currently struggling to think of any.

    Hi, I dont say Monday is the begining of the week. At least I dont think I do.
    As for code I'll post the conversion bit which is:

I can post this code if necessary, but I dont know if its relevant.

  • IPhone 4s updated with IOS 8. Not the calendar will not show a full list of dates. Instead it shows the whole month with the list of the day selected. I want to have my full list back. So much easier to scroll thru when making appointments.

    iPhone 4s just updated with IOS 8. Now my calendar does not offer the full list of items by day on the screen. Instead I see the month and below the month are the appointments in a list for the selected day only. I would like the option to have the full list available as it is much easier to scroll thru the list when making appointments.

    Turn Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom to ON.

  • How do you set a calendar alarm for a specific time on the day of the event without it being an all-day event

    Does anyone know how to set a calendar alert at a specific time on the day of the event.
    So that the alert date adjusts accordingly if you were to copy and past it to another date.
    The custom alert function kind of does this, but because it is an absolute alert (not relative) it will still refer to the date you initially set it to when you copy and paste it to another date. So this creates more work where you would have to go and manually change all the custom alerts. I have potential
    Anyone know how to set this kind of calendar alert?

    Greetings: Set the alarm to message you (on your screen) and then snooze it every day for 15 days, or, set 15 separate alarm messages. There is probably an AppleScript somewhere on the web too, try searching that way as well.

  • Calendar app: Week days in the day view

    Hi,
    some days ago I had (in the day view of the calendar) the weekdays in the upper bar. But these are vanished and I don'd know why and do not know how to bring them back. I compared the day view to a collegue's Z30 day view but he has still the weekdays in the upper bar although it is the very same OS version. I also searched for a setting but I did not find any.

    Are you talking about having ONLY the weekdays in the upper bar? I get that when I'm in the Week view and have show work days in Calendar >Settings >General >Week View >Work Week.

  • How can I print a month calendar without the times of day from the day calendar

    The obvious way to put items into iCal is via the day calendar. But I want to print the calendar as one month to a page and there I do not want the times of day.

    It seems like a simple solution must be at hand. There is an option in the iCal Preferences (General) panel--Show event times. With this command unchecked the screen view of the month view is free of the times of day, but when I print the month view the times of day are printed.

  • IOS 7 Calendar on iPad I cannot go from month view to day view. When I tap on the day of the month nothing happens.

    I use to be able to look at my month in the month view and when I wanted to make an appointment for a specific day I just tapped that day and it would open up the day and I could add my appointment to the time slot I wanted. Now when I am in month view and I tap on the day I want to make an appointment it does nothing. If I hold my finger on the day it creates an All Day event which is not what I want to do and even if I add a start time to the event, I don't know what times I have available on that day because the Day view hasn't opened. This is extremely frustrating. On my iphone it works properly...I can go from month view to day view by tapping on the day I want to view. Why can't I do this on my iPad?? If I could go back to ios 6 I would, calendar is not impressive at all!!
    Please help with any suggestions or PLEASE APPLE.....FIX THIS!!!

    I just tested, and this unfortunately still seems to be a bug in the latest iOS 7.1 release of the Calendar on the iPad, which is too bad since the release notes suggest that this iOS update included both bug fixes and enhancements to the Calendar.
    To my knowledge the bug has never been an issue on the iPhone version of the Calendar which behaves exactly as you would expect it should.
    It seems inconcievable given the obvious broken-ness of the current behavior coupled with what I would expect is a massive number of people who use the Calendar on the iPad, but is it possible that this bug isn't on Apple's radar?
    I'm happy to submit a bug report; does anyone know offhand the process for how the public can report bugs?
    This has been persistent in the product for nearly six months; it's well overdue that this bug be squashed.

  • Has anyone else had the day view crash calendar in iOS 7.1 on iPad Air?

    I recently updated to iOS 7.1 on my iPad Air (128 GB cellular). When I go to the calendar app and select the new "Day" view, the calendar app crashes.
    I have iCloud calendar and two Google calendars syncing with the device. When I disable all calendars from syncing, I no longer experience a crash in the "Day" view.
    Has anyone else had similar experiences?

    Switching to day view doesn't crash calendar but I can't launch the calendar app in iOS 7.1 (on my iPad 2) if synch is in and it was last in day view. It crashes on launch.

    In Yosemite, it has happened - the list view is gone from the day view in calendar.
    iOS7 took it away, and they restored it because of popular demand.
    Let the requests begin to restore it in OS X calendar.
    You can never see all the appointments in a day without it, even on my Thunderbolt display.

    Well i did find them but they are not working.  Under keyboard in settings.    Like I have one that

    Shortcut is cm.   anyplace I'm typing if I write cm, call me would be a option shown and auto type.   They are there but not working.  Any ideas?
