Switching Icloud IDs to Sync 2 devices will delete my data..??

Hi, I have an Ipad and Iphone4 from work. The Icloud account on the Ipad is set up with my professional email while the Iphone is set up with my personal email.
I would like to sync both device in matters of Calendar, Reminders and contacts, as well as the documents.
i figured i had to pick one ID only for Icloud, so will take the pro one.
By doing so, i mean by that by swaping Icloud IDs on my Iphone, will it delete all its data..?
Can i sync both device with 2 different Icloud IDs othererwise?
Can i keep a different apple ID for certain app..?

I have gotten to the bottom of it and, as usual in such cases, the actual cause was trivial user error. I report in full here for the benefit of those who arrive at this thread via search.
My problem turned out to be a firewall conflict. I was so concerned with diagnosing some subtlety of iCloud that I forgot to be more methodical about the basics.
In my case, I had initially been using Pages from an iWork 09 DVD installation (from the office) but then switched to an AppStore purchased version of Pages (my own copy). Because these two identical applications lived in different places in my filesystem (the former stored at /Applications/iWork 09/Pages.app and the latter at /Applications/Pages.app) and the outbound firewall rules had been set up Little Snitch for the first instance of Pages specifically, the rules broke when Mountain Lion tried to apply them to the newer instance of Pages.
If anything it's kind of a Little Snitch bug. I guess it couldn't apply the rules to the new Pages (because the file path didn't match) but also couldn't ask me to make new rules since, when it checked, it already had an entry for Pages.
But, like I said, also a user bug, because more thorouglly checking the networking issues should've occured to me much earlier! Thanks for your help, those who chimed in.

All you have to do is this: Sync your 3GS to create a current backup. Then either: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings or restore it as a "New" device in iTunes. Both accomplish the same thing, erasing all of your data & settings from the phone. You can now give it to your sister, she can plug it into her computer, name it what she wants & sync her content to it. You then restore your 4S from the backup of the 3GS you created when you started. Follow this by syncing your content to your new phone & your 4S will look just like your 3GS.

If she doesn't have an iCloud account on her iPhone or iPad now, you can just go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with a different Apple ID to set up the new account, then turn on the data that you want to sync with iCloud. She can continue to use the same ID for the App and iTunes store; it doesn't need to be the same as the the ID she uses for iCloud.
If she is already sharing your iCloud account on her devices, you should go to Settings>iCloud on her phone, tap Delete Account (which only deletes the account from her phone, not from iCloud), when prompted choose Keep on My iPhone, then set up a new account by signing back in with a different Apple ID. Then turn on the data she wants to sync with iCloud, and when prompted, choose Merge to upload her data to the new account. After doing this on her phone, go to Settings>iCloud on her iPad, tap Delete Account, when prompted choose Delete from my iPad, then sign into the new account just created on her phone using the new ID and turn on her data syncing to sync the iCloud data in the new account to her iPad. Finally, if you have any merged data in your accounts from sharing the original account, you'll need to go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into each iCloud account separately and delete the data you don't want from each account.

When syncing with Outlook, Ovi Suite will delete what you have in Outlook, if you delete it on the phone.
This happens even when you request no deletions to be done.

Pretty complex procedure though.
Try this:
1. Disconnect your phone from your computer.
2. Go to Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel.
3. Remove Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
Remove Nokia Ovi Suite
Remove PC Connectivity Solution
4. Download and run Nokia PC Suite Cleaner from
http://www.nokia.dk/produktsupport/download-software/pc-suite/how-to/nokia-pc-suite-cleaner
5. Reboot
6. Download latest version of OVI Suite from
http://www.nokia.dk/produktsupport/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite/compatibility-and-download
7. Turn off you AntiVirus/Spyware and Firewall(Including Windows Firewall is enabled) software before you start the install of OVI Suite- very important!!
8. Reboot after installation of OVi Suite
9. Do not start OVI Suite yet after reboot!
10. Make sure your AV Software/firewall is not turned on.
11. Connect your phone using your USB cable.
12. The drivers should install without any problems. Takes a minute or so.
13. Start OVI Suite after Windows reports that the installation was succesful.
Everything should work now

Deleting the data in the infocube will delete the data in explorer reports?

I have some explorer reports based on the BW queries.
1. I have deleted the data in BW but when I go and check the data is still visible in the explorer reports ? Is there any option once I delete the data in BW the data should also be deleted in the explorer?
2. Once I transport these explorer reports from dev to Quality, if the quality system cube does not have the data then these explorer reports does not show up any data or else it carries the data as well from the devlopment system?

Explorer reports will take data from Indexes in BWA, so it will show data even if you delete the data from cubes.
you will have to index your queries/ cubes again if you need the latest data.
I guess this can be scheduled through process chains.

If I delete iCloud from the one device will it affect another device?

My mom had an iPhone 4, but she got an iPhone 5 now so she gave me her iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 still has iCloud connected to it so I want to delete it because I don't want her photos and messages. You maybe able to get the photos off the iPod by:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You will have to then restoe the iPod via iTunes. It may be necessary to place the iPod in Recovery mode to allow the restore.

How can I access a dormant chat history without logging onto Skype which will delete the data?

I am posting this question here because many of you will have more technical knowldege about how this works compared to any other thread. I need to access my own Skype IM convos for legal reasons. I have only just realised that I do not have a complete history of chats from the begining of time. It's extremely frustrating that Skype only keeps 6mo worth of chat since Microsoft took over. This happened without any notification from MS that I can recall and it is a major problem for me now. Plan B: I have a Vista machine that I have not used for ages. If I can access the Skype IM chat history on it that will cover at least some of the period I need to access. My problem is, to view the IM chats I need to go online and log into Skype BUT that will wipe the info I need to see when it updates the history and goes back 6mo. It's a catch 22 situation. The info is there but i just don't know how to see it. As an additional complication, I stopped using the machine because there was a strong reason to believe it had a security breach/Trojan on it that antivirus program's could not detect. So I want to avoid going online with that Vista machine but it is possible. How can I view and extract my Skype IM convos without logging onto Skype itself and losing the data I want access? Obviously I know my passwords, so it's not a spying situation that I need to get around. It's very important that I view these old chats and fast. I have Internet access through other machines at the moment and I am not a techie. Can anyone help? You are my last chance.

Thanks Tamim. I had seen that app but was reluctant to try it. Following your post, I tried it and YES it does work. It is a bit cumbersome and will take a lot of work to sift through the CSV file that has every single chat convo combined into one file and not into separate conversations. There are tens of thousands of lines to search through. I am very grateful that the history is retrievable at all . It's just going to take a long time to sift through the data in an efficient and useable way. Unfortunately, with deadlines looming, I have very little time to do it in. Tamim, or anyone else for that matter, do you know of a way that the information can be viewed as a complete conversation between 2 people only?

Why does my ipod tell me it will delete everything if I want to sync movies?

I want to put a movie from my computer onto my ipod, so I tried to manually drag and sync and it just tells me that iTunes has stopped workikng. So then I went to Summary and Movies tab and pushed sync and it says to sync it will delete all of my music, photos, etc. Why?? Is there a way to sync the move without deleting everything?

If the movie is purchased and on your computer then you can just use home-sharing (accessed via the computers icon)
If you select the Movies icon it will be streaming from the cloud and need to load a portion before it can start.
As for streaming, the speed seems fine but you should also check for interference (using istumbler or netstumbler) and make sure you are using your ISPs DNS (settings - network - configure DNS - should be set to automatic).
Sometimes ISPs throttle the connection at certain times or when a certain limit is reached.

Will deleting my songs, then moving them to the recycle bin and leaving them to be downloaded from the cloud get me the version from itunes match?

I've read this somewhere before but the things is, I didn't know this when I first got itunes match and didn't delete the songs and re-download them from the cloud. I just thought it was done so I synced all of my devices. If I go ahead and delete them all now and re-download will all of my songs be the match high quality versions now? If so, do I delete all my music from my devices as well and re-download or will it automatically change the songs on there to the high quality by simply synching them? ..Or did I screw everything up by not downloading and synching from the start?

Hi,
Your main computer will have your original tracks. All your synced devices will have the matched/uploaded versions.
To get the benefit of the upgraded tracks on your main library, you need to delete the original and then download the matched version. You don't need to do anything with uploaded songs.
Ps make sure you have a backup of your original songs.

If you are asking if deleting the iCloud backups of your old phones will delete any data on your current phone, the answer is no. It won't effect any data on your phone.
