Switching off validation when reading XML

Is it possible to switch off the validation of an XML file when opening it in FrameMaker?
I removed the public and system identifier from the Doctype declaration in the file (tried also removing the whole doctype declaration too) - and removed any reference to the DTD in the structured application definition. But when opening such an XML file, FrameMaker always displays a message dialog saying "Unable to validate because no DTD or Schema was specified in the XML file. Continue reading the file?". Is it possible to suppress this warning - I don't want it?

There should be no write-access issues. You do not need to use an external DTD. For example, if your original XML document is:
<document>
  <title>My summer vacation</title>
  <paragraph purpose="summary">I had fun.</paragraph>
</document>
instead of changing it to:
<!DOCTYPE document SYSTEM "onthefly.dtd">
<document>
  <title>My summer vacation</title>
  <paragraph purpose="summary">I had fun.</paragraph>
</document>
generate:
<!DOCTYPE document SYSTEM [
<!ELEMENT document ANY>

Go to itunes and restore your phone from backup, make sure you have a recent backup in itunes of your phone first.

I had the same problem, it happened as soon as I got my phone so Telus replaced it under the 30 replacement policy. If past 30 days they repair it.

That is referred to recovery mode. At this point your only option is to restore to factory & then from a backup if you have one

XP Proff will not switch off system when closing down.

I have a brand new installation loaded to a KM3M-V board with Semperon 2200 - everything works perfectly with the exception that when the command is given to shut down Windows, instead of switching off the system I get athe following Windows message "Windows has shut down and it is now safe to switch off your computer" - it then has to be switched off at the mains. How can I fix this? I have built other similar XP Proff systems using the KM4M-V board and never experienced this problem before!

But you can also try to instal APM legacy driver... mybe then it will work... I was having the same problem after turning off acpi option, changing from acpi complaint to standard pc. So i installed apm driver and then it works fine....
I was having some other problem befor when i had acpi ... long story...posted in this forum somewhere i followed instructions by Wonkanoby.. worked fine.

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It is certainly impossible to use your iPhone if it won't power on. I found some steps that can help with an issue like this:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

I'm suspecting this to come from your OS, not from Thunderbird.
Although I don't have Ubuntu running here, I understand that you can find the sound integration under system settings, sound, sound effects.
Could you please check if this helps you into the right direction? Otherwise we'll need to dig up an Ubuntu system - in that case please tell me the version and if you are using the default window manager, or something different.

Nokia 6500s switch off automatically when in idle ...

I was facing a screen flicks problem with my nokia 6500s , I went to customer care and they reloaded the firmware. But now my mobile switch off by itself when in idle state for more than 3 hours, I also tried to reset the phone, But its no use and it also asks to set date and time when I restart the mobile, but the wallpaper and theme I applied will be saved(settings will be saved including profile except time and date).
Can u guys please help me what to do...

There are a few different way. Don't forget to backup your data first.
First is FOTA (firmware over the air). Type the code *#0000# then goto Options>Check for updates. You will will need to go online for this so unless you have a data package ensure you are within range of your wifi.
The other option is to use Ovi Suite or NSU.

Hi, alexbonn, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
1. No, there isn't.
2. I don't think so, though I'm not 100% certain. I believe the designers assumed that if you have your display open, (a) you want it to operate, and therefore (b) you want it to self-adjust its brightness for ambient light conditions, as it normally does when operating.
If you don't want the display open, you must operate the machine in clamshell mode, following all the instructions in the article you referenced. It isn't possible to start the machine up from a cold shutdown with its display closed.
If you don't want to use an external keyboard and mouse, and therefore can't use clamshell mode, you will just have to turn the backlight level down after each time you start the computer. That takes one second to do with the F1 key, so it shouldn't be too much of a bother. You could eliminate it by putting the computer to sleep instead of shutting it down. Each shutdown-and-startup process takes at least a full minute, so skipping it would save you far more time than finding a way to start the machine up with its display off. The machine also wakes from sleep far faster than it starts up from shutdown, and it remembers its display brightness setting when doing so.

Mac Pro FireWire does not switch off even when Mac Pro is switched off

Hi,
got my new Mac Pro with 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon last week!
Found out today, that the firewire connection both on the frontside as well on the backside
keeps beeing powered even if the Mac Pro is switched off!
Is this a new features as my old Mac Pro (2x2.0 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon) did not have this feature?
If yes, why is this so? For what is it good for?

Hi,
called to the apple hotline and got informed that the so called "residual current" is normal at the MAC Pro. Sometimes the USB Ports sometimes the FireWire Ports keep been powered continously even the machine is switched off.
Apple told me further that I can use a connection plug board with a central switch to solve my issue.

How to turn off validation when creating XMLType

Hi all,
I have XML data stored in a CLOB field in a relational table. When generating an XMLType from the CLOB input I get the following error on certain XML documents only:
select XMLTYPE.CREATEXML(CLOB_DATA)
into XML_Type1
from LOGS
where ID = 32;
ERROR:
ORA-01001: invalid cursor
ORA-21700: object does not exist or is marked for delete
ORA-06512: at "SYS.XMLTYPE", line 0
ORA-06512: at line 1
I eventually figured out that the 'object' referred to is the xsd against which the XML doc must be validated. This happens for documents which have the attribute xsi:schemaLocation="http:/myURI myxsd.xsd".
My question is how do I prevent the parser from trying to reference the XSD when generating the XMLType.
The following does not work:
select XMLTYPE.CREATEXML(CLOB_DATA).createNonSchemaBasedXML()
into XML_Type1
from LOGS
where ID = 32;
Please help.

You might try specifying a null schema with:
XMLTYPE.CREATEXML(xmlData => yourdata, schema => null)
Failing that the validated & wellformed parameters default to zero, setting one of them to 1 may turn off the validation.
If neither of the above work I'd be selecting into a CLOB and creating the XMLTYPE in my code.
