Sync iphone to computer

I have downloaded nike + running onto my iphine 4s. it is not syncing my run info onto my computer. i believe it is meant to do this wirelessly but i have even tried connecting the 2 with the cable but it still doers not download my running info?

If you're receiving that message, you data are already gone. If you've been using iCloud and backing up your phone as recommended, you should have no data loss. If you have not, well, hard lesson learned. Good luck.

After an Itunes update Itunes now doesn't let me sync Iphone to computer because it says my computer is not authorized even though it is authorized.

After another lovely Itunes update my Itunes is now not letting me sync my Iphone to my computer. This is the error message I recieve "The Iphone 'Des's Iphone 5' could not be synced because this computer is not longer authorized for purchased items that are on this Iphone. It then tells me to authorize this computer even though it is already authorized. Also I can play all of my purchased itunes items on my computer even though it claims it's not authroized when I am trying to sync. After deauthorizing and reauthorizing numerous times and attempting many other things I have not been able to solve this issue. After looking through these disccussion forums I have not seen anyone with this same issue. I would appreciate any help anyone could provide.

I can't sync iPhone with computer because iTunes won't display the device menu option anymore

The device menu won't appear across the top of iTunes - its as if my iPhone 5 is invisible. This is a sudden surprise after syncing my iPad yesterday. Help?!

You can only sync to one computer at a time.
Before attempting to sync-are you logged in as the same user as the old iTunes, can you select transfer purchases when right click on iPhone icon?

No longer able to sync Iphone with computer?

I recently bought a new Macbook Pro, and now itunes doesn't allow me to sync the music I have on my phone onto m computer. When I try to sync, iTunes wants to transfer things from computer to phone, instad of phone to computer. I never had this problem with older versions of iTunes on my old Macbook.

This is correct. As has been the case from the very first iphone, it will sync with one and only one computer at a time. Syncing to another computer will erase the current content form the iphone and replace with content from the new computer.
The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

If you have failed to sync your device to your computer or cloud service, as the iphone is designed, then everything is gone.

Same here, but with an IPAD 4. I didn't have any problem with the iphone, but I get the message "... could not be synced because this computer is not longer authorized for purchased items.... ".

Can't sync iPhone after computer upgrade

I just upgraded my notebook hard drive and started everything on the computer - including my iTunes library - over from scratch. Unfortunately, even though this is the same computer I was using before (albeit with a new hard drive, and upgraded to Leopard), the iPhone doesn't seem to be recognizing it as such: I can't sync or play music through iTunes.
Is there any way, short of wiping the iPhone and all of that jazz, to get the phone working with my computer? This is definitely not the sort of user experience I've come to expect from Apple.

If you replaced your hard drive, the iPhone is going to think it's connected to a different computer. So in order to sync, it will need to erase the content from your iPhone and re-sync it. If you set up all of your iTunes info (and the other info you normally sync to the iPhone), all you will need to do is sync the information back to your iPhone from the computer.

You should just be able to plug it in to your Mac once you setup your iPhone, iOS 5 has allowed phones to be setup without the need of a computer. You just sign in with your Apple ID and presto. For your apps/music/etc it's easiest to get it on the iPhone over a USB connection since most people have at least 1GB of each (which is a lot of data to wirelessly transfer via iCloud or even Wi-fi Sync). When you plugin your phone, your iPhone will show up on the left hand bar, that's where you go and modify most of your sync settings, etc.

I have a 3G iPhone, a MacBook Pro and an Airport Express. I was wondering if I could sync my calendar and contacts through the airport express (wirelessly) instead of actually connecting the the two by USB cable? The warning is correct, take it seriously. If you have a new computer, you need to transfer the iPhone files to it from your old computer. See these links:
