Sync JDBC call from ParForEach block in BPM (XI 3.0)

Has anyone tried the following scenario:
My BPM flow starts with a single message that I split using a message map into a list of messages to be sent synchronously to an Oracle stored procedure via the JDBC adapter.  After the mapping step, the flow goes into a ParForEach block that executes the sync Send step to the JDBC adapter, and then has a Container Action that collects the responses.
My problem is that BPM seems to not like executing a synchronous send from inside a block.  The first execution of the send step will produce an error in the BPM flow.  The adapter framework, however, shows that the JDBC call executed normally and that the response message was sent back to the integration server.  There is no error indicated in SXMB_MONI, which inidicates to me that the response message was delivered successfully business server (the BPM flow).
If anyone could shed any light or share any experience, it would be greatly appreciated.
Chris

Hi Chris,
I am facing same situation how you configured BLOCK step for Sync response. Please let me know the flow how you configured.

Stop answering calls with blocked numbers. If it's someone who really wants to talk to you, they'll leave you a message and you can call them back.

  • Secured JDBC call from PI

    Hi,
Please let me know the possibilities of secured JDBC call from PI. In JDBC adapter configuration, is it possible to achieve secured connection to Database server?
I saw few similar threads in Forums but did not get much information.

?Please let me know the possibilities of secured JDBC call from PI. In JDBC adapter configuration, is it possible to achieve secured connection to Database server?
Yes, it is absolutely possible to secure the jdbc connection to database server.  You might have to do few things...
    Please follow this link
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/EncryptioninscenariosinvolvingJDBCAdapterwithOracleDatabase
You can encrypt  all the connection parameters including user name and password  between jdbc adapter and database server.  Use advance tab and do the recommended changes given in the above link.Similarly on the database server you have to do the same. You might have to take help from dba to set the similar settings on the database level too.

  • Sync RFC call from BPM - message expired

    Hi guys,
I have a scenario with BPM where I'm doing a sync RFC call to ECC and then I want to process the result. However, the processing of BAPI take approx 5 minutes and my messages get expired after 3 minutes.
    How to resolve this issue?
    Thanks a lot,
    Olian

    Hello,
Problem might be at BAPI end.  Please check BAPI by executing with your set of inputs. If BAPI goes for exception for yoru set of input values.. you may not get response from R3. So you might have error..
secondly.. Please post the error in the communication channel and errro in the SXMB_Moni as well.
    Thanks,

  • Sync RFC call from XI

    Hi
I've a requirement for a XI Inbound Order that I need to check for each MATNR on the Order Line it's associated Division (SPART).  Once I know the Division I'll then split up the Order per Division.
Can I from my BPM collect the message, call a RFC via Send Sync Step to return the Divisions and then continue with my transformation ?
I was looking for an example of how to call an RFC from a BPM.  NOT using Sync<>Async bridge.
Does anybody have a link to a blog etc for that.?

    Hi,
You can either use RFC lookup in mapping or use Sync RFC call in the BPM.
Refer the Blog RFC Scenario using BPM --Starter Kit By Arpith Seth for Sync RFC call in BPM.
Refer this document [Mapping Lookups: Remote Function Calls API|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a03e7b02-eea4-2910-089f-8214c6d1b439] for making RFC lokup from mapping.

  • Diff between ForEach & ParForEach blocks in BPM

    Hi,
Can anyone let me know the difference between ForEach & ParForEach blocks? I am aware of the fact that ForEach gets executed sequentially and ParForEach gets executed parallelly from SAP help. But what I require is "Does usage of ParForEach improve the performance, since it executes parallelly, when compared with ForEach which executes sequentially. If not, how does ForEach behave compared with ParForEach?
    Thanks
    Sreeks

    Hi,
The main difference between the two is the scenarios where they are used,
parforeach : is mainly used in places where you have to fork for seperate requests, and have to collect individual responses into a single message.
foreach : is maily used in places where sequencial processing is important or the order of the message has to be preserved by executing.
As for which is better you could probably judge interms of cost(memory) vs performance. Parforeach forks a seperate flow for each path(thread on java stack + work flow on abap stack), and if your message is huge, you will be having n*message+BPM initialization cost, where n is the number of paths.
the very nature of Foreach enables recycling of memory and there by for each execution it uses only message+BPM initialization cost.
Bottom line, use parforeach where you need to use fork-collect pattern.

I get these calls all the time, and blocking the sender does not help!

Hi, dpmaclaren, and welcome to the Community,
Unfortunately, it is not just one incident or the same abuser of the system that you are blocking - these scammers keep changing the background numbers.  Please report this to Skype Customer Service (this link provides the instruction how to do this: contact customer service ), and please continue to Block and Report as Abuse as this alerts Skype.
If your situation allows for it, you could also adjust your profile settings such that you can receive incoming calls from people on your Contact list only... . Just a thought.
    Kind regards,
    Elaine
I am having the same problem. I have bloked them in all possible ways. I already reported this problem a couple of months ago. No solution yet.
Now they are calling several times in a row. Look the info below:

This is really enoying. You should sue theis guy big time. He is really causing a big problem to your service.
I can not do what you suggest, because I have to receive calls from people who are not in my list.
As for to report these incidents you should provide a straight email address to do that

  • Synchronous SOAP call from XI without BPM....

    Hi All,
Is it possible to use the (File - XI - SOAP) Synchronous SOAP call from XI with out BPM. to trace the error messages. If yes then how it can be achived in XI.
    Thanks,
    Jane

    Hi,
You will get either a system error/application error raised if there is a problem processing the SOAP request without the need for BPM.
You can then raise an alert from the RWB if this occurs.
If all is OK with processing, you will get the standard chequered flag.
    Cheers
    Colin.

  • Secured JDBC call (receiver adapter) from PI

Hello experts, I was digging through SAP documentation but could not find any information about the possibility of secured JDBC calls from PI. Is it possible to configure the JDBC receiver adapter in a way that it does a secure (encrypted) connection to a database server?

    Hi Sanjay,
For configuring encryption in the JDBC Communication Channle you can refer to the followimg Wiki Content:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/java/handlingDATETypecolumnforJPAEntityforuseWebServices
Additionally, for Oracle Database, the following link talks about the Encryption Parameters that are set:
    http://javasight.wordpress.com/2008/08/29/network-data-encryption-and-integrity-for-thin-jdbc-clients
and SAP Note: 1078420 will guide how to set these parameters in the JDBC communication channel.

  • Getting calls from blocked numbers

I have been receiving phone calls from a blocked number, is there any way to find out who it is? I know when someone blocks there number on a landline you can *69 and call the number back can you do that with a cell phone?

Hey there, barkar! Although it's been a while, I recall a period of time when I would get calls from blocked numbers. It can be very upsetting! I wish I could say that there's a way to see beyond those blocks, but the very purpose of the blocks is to protect the caller's privacy (even if that protection may come at the expense of the peace of mind of those being called). The best advice I can offer is to just not answer calls from individuals you either don't recognize or don't expect. Let them roll to voicemail. Must legitimate calls will leave you a message with their intentions stated.
And, if they become too much to handle, you do have the option to change your mobile number free of charge through My Verizon. Good luck to you!

  • DND deny call from all contacts

    Hello there!
I'm expecting a call from an unknoown number from a country with a completely different time zone. I want to use the DND function the otherway around. Allow me to silence all calls from my contact list, and at the same time, allow calls from unknown/blocked numbers. Is that possible?
    Any help would be appreciated!

I'm a little afraid to sync the iPhone since I don't want to lose my contacts anywhere else.
Address Book > File > Export > Address Book Archive...
    then you can't lose anything.

  • Oracle 8i database hangs for the same amount during JDBC calls.

    Hi all,
I have a Oracle 8i database on solaris. The database hangs for exactly 61 seconds for a random jdbc call from my Java application, i mean there is no particular pattern or a JDBC call for which the database hangs. If i choose to wait for 61 seconds it returns the results from the database but if i try to access the database with another query(SQL Plus) the first query starts executing immediately. Is that a database configuration problem or some thing else.
And i also get some exceptions occasionally( Maximum Open Cursors exception). Are these two related?
    Any feedback is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Hugo Victor

    I have uninstalled Oracle 8i.
Removed all the services from Windows services by deleting corresponding registry entries and deleted the Oracle folder.
I have reinstalled Oracle 8i, this time i changed the name of global database to oracledb.
I channged the tnsnames.ora file from DevSuite appropriately as:
    # tnsnames.ora Network Configuration File: C:\DevSuiteHome_1\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.
    EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = mscserver)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = ORACLEDB)
Still it can't login using scott/tiger authentication.
What may be the problem? Please help.
